Long ago there was a man, named Neihs, He was one of the warlord's chieftain at that time, before the main clans had taken over the province.
One day, during his many ventures to gain terrain for his master, he stood upon a wounded dragon.
Thinking it would be a great gift for his master, Neihs tried his best to move the dragon, but the beast was too big to be moved. Upon days and days trying in vain to move the apparent corpse. The dragon woke up and with a powerful wing beat he ascended to the skies.
The clouds became cinder and the air scorched while the sacred fire spit by the divine beast's breath would fall upon the valley he was set upon.
None survived on that attack, none but Neihs who was badly burned.
However, refusing to be pitied, he claimed an armor crafted with the small fortune he had.
And thus took his life to learn how to master this new body of his, made with iron.
Unable to wield a sword again, he opted for axes and Naginatas. Teaching the people of his house how to wield those weapons.
However, the warlord did not see this with good eyes as rumors reached him that Neihs tried to take over his place. And without any doubt he attacked the house of Neihs.
Everything burned to the ground.
The restless spirit of Neihs became violent, enough to consolidate itself as an Oni, and as since then haunted the province.
It is rummored that Akio, a b*****d born from unknown man is but one of the descentants of Neihs, who on a murderous rampage dethroned the warlord and isolated his fortune in the cursed castle where the warlord used to be.
Ever since then, they see that an armored Oni dwells in the mountains, and every now and then, claims brides from the villagers and travelers alike.
While Akio does not acknowledge or denies the fact, he had been looked down upon.. Yet with his love for gambling and his unpredictable luck he eventually carved a place for him in society.
An avid swordsmans and naginata user. And Bearer of the flames. He escalated quickly as to be known as part of the Searing Order, a fictional clan named after Neihs, the sole survivor of the Searing Valley when the dragon attacked.
