Veilmys

25 years ago the original Guild System fell. He did not know the details or why, but he did know it was after a particularly vicious battle that ended in so many lost lives. It must have been something devastating for the guilds to be disbanded.
There had once been seven. Six core guilds and one that acted as an overseer; the Guild of Rebirth.

According to his father it had been the Guild of Rebirth's leader who made the call to end them and after that he simply vanished.
Veilmys once pondered over the details of the original guilds, but in the end he merely pushed them aside.
He would maintain his own guild with no issue, he would lead it away from such a fate and in time the land would be better for it.

The Sylveon pranced gamely along toward the central hall of the guild where an ancient brass bell was hung, suspended from a slim bar near the exit. It had been recovered from the old Guild of Eclipse and though it was not in the best of condition it worked well enough.

Plucking up the small hammer next to it in his ribbons the Guildmaster swung it against the bell and its reverberating ring echoed loudly through the halls.
Ooh~ It was louder than he thought, he hoped he didn't startle anyone.
Smiling he set the hammer down and strolled forward to await the teams to assemble and once they began to he offered a polite nod.

"Hello and welcome, new teams, to the Guild of Eclipse! For those who have not yet become Rank One do not fret! There is still plenty of time, we only ask that you do your best!"
Veilmys' ribbons fluttered about his head and he folded them together neatly in front of his chest to appear less 'eager'.
"I think our first order of business is to get to know one another as we'll be working together from now on! If you don't mind, please introduce yourselves~"

An Introduction to Chapters!

Chapters are the guild wide 'missions' where everyone roleplays together to complete an objective!

Usually a first 'teaser' post will be made to give you an idea of what is to happen in the Chapter! Then later another post is made calling the guild together to begin and explaining the plot of the chapter!

If there are certain things you need to do for the chapter it will always be in that second post!

Pay attention to the chapter titles as they'll let you know when you can post or not!

At the end of a chapter, as long as you participated, you will be rewarded with MP as well as other items!

For this chapter it's just a simple meet and greet! Have your characters introduce themselves and meet the other members of the guild!

Cimm & Nuna

Cimm frowned deeply after listening to the Sylveon's spiel. He had been startled out of his wits when the loud bell had been rung, though he would never admit to it. Nuna had been shocked as well to hear it, but from what he could tell, she was more excited to go and investigate rather than scared. The Luxio had begrudgingly followed his co-captain down into the main hall and expected there to be some sort of emergency or something.

But, no. Cimm found himself glaring at Veilmys for suggesting he was a social Pokemon. There was no way he was going to start talking to a bunch of random strangers. Who cared if they were same guild? The less he had to deal with others, the better.

"Tch. Come on, Nuna. Let's just g-"

"Hello~!" the Aron ignored his grumbling and interrupted the leader, loudly making her greeting to all of the Pokemon gathered, "I'm Nuna, the co-leader of Team Moonlighter! and this grumpy-butt kitty is Cimmerian, the captain!" Nuna came up and roughly head butted Cimm, making him grimace and place a paw on her shiny skull to push her away.

"It's Cimm!" the Luxio growled distastefully, regretting coming out of his room at all. Nuna simply smiled impishly at him and tilted her head upwards.

"If anyone has any shiny things, I'll take them from you~!" the outgoing steel pokemon announced. Cimm's eyes went wide as he pounced on his partner, covering her mouth with his paws.

"Shh! Shut up! That's not something you just say! It makes you look like a thief!" he scolded harshly with a hiss. The Aron gave him a watery eyed look and tried to mumble something else out, but he clamped his paws tighter around her mouth and shushed her again.

Mercy - Peter

After her mildly irritating starting mission, Mercy was extremely prepared to kick back her paws and relax for a while. Her new partner, Peter, was more than capable of keeping the team files and other things put together. Mercy had never been much for paperwork, so she internally thanked Arceus for the Charmander's patience. Mercy was almost willing to admit that the lizard pokemon was being put through too much. Team Iris did have an image to maintain, however. The workload would probably be easier as they recruited more. Then again, it might just go downhill.

The Luxio stalked into the main guild hall, glancing around. There... There didn't seem to be a lot of Pokemon there. In fact, the only other people around of particular note were the Guildmaster and another team that appeared to consist of another Luxio and an Aaron. The majority of the teams here seemed to be new- perhaps there was just a sudden influx or this was a new trend.

The darker Luxio seemed to be uncomfortable with the scenario, or maybe he was just plain irritated. Mercy had just barely caught some of his words. He didn't seem to be very happy about the situation. Mercy was just about to go and pester Peter about some snacks after the meet and greet when the Aaron wildly announced that Team Moonlighter had arrived. The Luxio instantly pounced to Peter's side, whispering to him frantically. "Do something like that and I'll throw you out on the streets I swear to god."

Mercy left Peter's side again, and approached the perturbed Luxio, who was apparently called Cimmerian. (Or was it Cimm? He seemed to dislike Cimmerian.) Mercy leered at him. "Is that Aaron your partner or your hostage?"

Peter, meanwhile, was very off-put. He had expected the ring of the bell to be for emergencies. If he had known that it was just a meet and greet, he would've stayed back for a little bit to make snacks.

There wasn't much for him to do- it appeared that not many others were there, so the Charmander awkwardly stood in the middle of the room and watched as his Captain left him to go converse with the other Luxio. Peter had never been particularly graced with sociableness.

Cimm & Nuna

Cimm hardly looked up to see who was speaking to him, he was focused on keeping the squirming aron under his paws from breaking free and running amok to cause whatever chaos she could manage.

"Neither. She's my umbrage." He replied with an eye roll, finally glancing up to make slight eye contact with a wary looking Luxio female. He hadn't been too interested in looking around at the other Teams, but if he had been , he was sure he would have noticed her earlier since he had yet to meet another of his kind so far.

Unfortunately his thoughts were interrupted as a disgusting, wet feeling met his left paw that was closest to Nuna's mouth. He instantly jumped away from his partner, nearly backing into the other feline as he did so.

"Did you just lick me?" He hissed with disbelief, glaring golden orbs meeting defiant blue ones as he had a stare down with Nuna. He tried not to look at anyone else, for fear that he may accidentally make eye contact with anyone else and embarrass himself more than he already had.

"That's what you get for calling me something I don't understand." Nuna huffed, turning sharply on her stubby legs with her nose raised in the air to go cause trouble elsewhere. Cimm scowled as he turned his eyes from the irritating aron and looked down at his grimy paw. He flicked it in an attempt to shake off the grody substance, but figured he'd have to soak his paw in water later to clean it. Frustrated, he reluctantly placed the paw on the floor with great tenderness. It was then he realized he was still being watched. Sure enough, the Luxio female was still there when he'd turned to check.

"And its only been a day." He grunted out in an attempt to blame the situation on Nuna, moving back slightly when he realized how close he had come to the other Pokémon. Why did he always make a horrible first impression? Cimm nervously went on, fully expeting to make a fool out of himself, "Your partner probably isn't as irritating as mine."

Meanwhile, Nuna trotted around the Pokémon, trying to find one that could peek her interest a bit. She passed the an oddly colored, blue flamed charmander. Though she thought the flickering flame atop his tail was pretty, she wasn't fond of fire and attempted not to make eye contact. She'd find someone shiny and shimmering if she looked hard enough, she was sure.

Or she could find someone with something glittery. Either way, she'd be happy.

Neo & Nyx

The Meowstic and Vulpix had been having something of a staring competition before the bell was sounded. Neo hadn't dared to take his eyes off of the peculiar Fire Type, and Nyx returned his gaze with a bemused smile, wondering what on earth could be troubling the Psychic. They continued to sit in silence for several moments after the sound had died down, before Nyx bowed his head and rose to his feet. "Perhaps it would be easier for you to discuss this later?" he offered, "In the meantime, would you join me in responding to our summons? It wouldn't do for partners to make their first public appearance without one another."

Neo did his best not to shudder at the Vulpix's tone. He had no good reason to be so suspicious of the other Pokemon, but there was something about his eyes, or maybe the way he said "partners" that sent a chill down the Psychic's spine. His thoughts still marred by the smell of singed fur and a childish song, he couldn't help but think of...whatever it was he'd passed in that castle whenever he looked at his new partner. It wasn't fair, he knew that, but he hadn't even had the chance to process the whole thing before Nyx was suddenly there, a new and unplanned fixture in his life. He did his best to smile. "Your probably right. I just haven't had the chance to clear my head yet--maybe this meeting will be just what I need."

"I'm sure it will be," Nyx replied, an unassuming smile on his face, "Just try your best to be a bit more forthcoming with the others, hm?" Striding over to his partner, the Vulpix prodded him gently with one of his tails as he passed by. "Come along Neo. We wouldn't want them to start before we arrive." The Meowstic raised a paw to his shoulder where he'd been nudged and rubbed it uncertainly as he got to his feet, smoothing down the tousled fur before following his partner out the door.

The pair arrived just in time for Veilmys' announcement, hovering on the outskirts of the small group of Pokemon that had assembled. Neo only had eyes for the Guildmaster, clinging to his every word out of respect; Nyx's gaze strayed to the rest of the crowd, his perked ears the only indication he was listening just as intently as his partner. Both of them relaxed when they heard this assembly was for the purpose of introductions, though Nyx appeared momentarily irritated by the prospect. He'd been hoping they'd get the chance to do something of slightly larger significance--sitting around for so long had made him anxious for some action. Still, there was no need to waste a valuable opportunity to make some connections. "Would you prefer we go our separate ways for now Neo? Or would you rather we make our introductions together?"

Neo fidgeted uncomfortably, all too aware that his partner was trying his best to make things easier for him. He really did need to give the guy a chance, but he couldn't manage it just yet. "I think we'll have the chance to meet more people if we split up," he said, hating himself for the words. The Vulpix nodded and turned to go, and Neo felt that surge of guilt again. "Wait, Nyx?" The Fire Type turned, eyes on his Leader. "Let's talk later, okay? We really should get to know each other better. Teammates are like family, right?"

Nyx looked at him for a long moment, expression inscrutable as their eyes locked once again. When he broke it off this time however, it was with a gentle laugh. "Of course Neo," his partner said amiably, "I thought you'd never ask."

The Vulpix turned and slipped into the collection of Teams, making his way past the quarreling Aron and Luxio with a smirk. It seemed he wasn't the only one having some difficulties with his partner. He made note of the names the Steel Type gave--Team Moonlighter, Nuna, Cimmerian or Cimm--and thought he might approach them later, when they were a bit less preoccupied. He passed by the Luxio that did dare to approach the bickering duo, eyes on the Charmander he had left behind. The other Fire Type looked like he needed someone to talk to, and Nyx was willing to oblige. When he reached the solitary Pokemon he offered a smile, and his paw for a handshake. "Nyx, of Team Essence. I take it you weren't expecting this to be a social gathering either?"

Neo remained where he was, glancing around the hall with curious eyes. There were new faces to learn and Pokemon to meet, but he took a moment to breathe, absorbing the atmosphere. It was calm and friendly, and he could sense warm intentions from his fellow Guildmates for the most part--no reason at all for alarm. He glanced at the crimson bow tied, for the moment, around his right wrist, and sighed; if this was any indication, Guild life was going to keep them very busy indeed. The Meowstic was used to having time to process things, so he found it somewhat overwhelming to have had so many experiences in one day. He'd have to work on that for the future. Glancing at the others nearby, it seemed they were already involved in conversations for the most part, so he decided to give his search a few minutes. Some Teams were still arriving--maybe he could find someone to chat with among them.

Mercy - Peter

Mercy's eyes narrowed, watching as the pair continued to struggle. She knew that being so different in species and types, there was bound to be conflict, but the two seemed to be... Very jovial, but also rancorous. Then again, it appeared to be mainly the other Luxio who was irritated. The Aaron, from what Mercy could tell, seemed to be perfectly happy and energetic. She was just about to comment on this when the Luxio jumped away.

Mercy stood at alert, completely caught off-guard. Fire grew in her mouth, and she was prepared to counter-attack any threats when Cimm hissed at his partner, incredulously asking if she had licked him. Mercy instantly cut off the fire, clamping her jaw shut. The fire was quickly extinguished, and Mercy looked at Cimm with a disbelieving look in her eyes.

She was just about to ask Nuna why she had done that when the miniscule Aaron tottered off on its small legs. Mercy glanced at Cimm, and back at Nuna, and then back at Cimm. Thank Arceus that she had got someone reasonable, like Peter. Even if the Charmander wasn't super talkative, at least he didn't lick her. Mercy peered at Cimm, and opened her mouth to talk. "I'm not even sure how to respond. I'm Mercy, yeah." That was a fair start. "The Charmander and I are Team Iris." Mercy gestured towards Peter with a flick of her tail.

Mercy took a deep breath, and began again, attempting to keep both members of Team Moonlighter in her vision, with little success. Eventually, she focused solely on Cimm. The Aaron seemed to be distracted with wandering around. And had she mentioned looking for shiny things? ... Such were rock types.

"I mean, Peter's okay. He's not very talkative, but he's okay. Good at paperwork, you know?" Mercy shifted her weight so she could adjust the fur that had been displaced in her short and swift panic. "And you're new, too? What brought you to the guild?"

Peter watched the scene unfold in front of him. Mercy had been caught off guard by the sudden movement. The Charmander couldn't help but chuckle a little bit as he watched. It wasn't necessarily cruel laughter, but Mercy could be very unaware sometimes. It was easy to tell, despite him knowing her for such a short time period. The Aaron didn't look dangerous, at the least. There were several Pokémon in the room who were more than capable of taking care of it. ... 'That being said', Peter began to think, 'they're both electric types, so maybe that fear isn't unfounded.'

Peter was so caught up in his thoughts that he barely noticed the Vulpix approaching him. Peter righted himself to face the fellow fire-type, and took Nyx's paw. "Peter, Team Iris." The Charmander nodded, smiling faintly. "Fortunately, it wasn't an actual emergency. A bit of warning would have been nice, though I think Mercy would've expected me to bring snacks if there had been any notice beforehand."

Peter sighed gently, glancing back at his Captain. Mercy seemed to be socializing well. The Vulpix was still there though, and it was only polite to give him his undivided attention. "I take it that you're here with the Meowstic? What is your team's specialization, also?"

Cimm&Nuna

Cimm narrowed his eyes and studied the female luxio carefully as she spoke, scanning for any signs of malignant intentions she may have in speaking to him. Though he knew why, on the account that the Guildmaster had instigated such behavior, he was just a bit wary of his own kind due to his past dealings.

"It's Cimm. Though you've probably already heard," He mentioned, the irritation still prodding at his mind from Nuna's outburst was renewed when he heard how good Mercy had it with her partner. The yellow eyes darted briefly to an oddly colored charmander that he could only assume was the one she was talking about.

Cimm was vaguely aware of the voice in the back of his head telling him to watch his own team member so she didn't make a fool out of them any further, but promptly ignored beause the current conversation had managed to catch his attention a bit more. His tail twitched when his self-consciousness festered, "So, uh... Well..."

He was not about to just up and tell this Mercy girl his whole story, but at the same time he figured it would be suspicious not to say anything at all. His nervousness never left him as he searched for a good way to respond without totally screwing things up. Not that he could avoid doing so anyways. The feline wriggled his nose before he spoke out the best thing he could think of.

"Same reason anyone would be a Treasure Hunter, I guess," Cimm replied slowly at first, wondering if it had even been established that he was amongst the group of Treasure Hunters, "Money. And certain... circumstances allowed me to be here. He shrugged slightly in an attempt to make light of what he was saying and in hopes of off putting Mercy from asking anything deeper about his 'circumstances'. That's when he got the bright idea to continue the conversation and move the spotlight around a bit.

"And you? Why're you here?" His feet felt restless and he shifted his weight back and forth from his right to his left, wanting to wretch when he felt the slick feeling in his foot from Nuna's obnoxiously wet saliva.

Serena and Salvatore stopped there travels and what appeared to be a social gathering, where others could meet and greet as much as they'd like. Serena hid under Salvatore, peeking out shyly. She really didn't like the idea of being surrounded by thousands of pokemon and even though there had only actually been a few here, it felt like a thousand pokemon in her mind. Salvatore used his big leaf wing thing to push her out from underneath him, in a way of saying that she would do fine. The small fox blinked, but than looked around to see if anyone wanted to talk. Everyone looked to be quite busy, she really couldn't find anyone who would be interested in chatting. Serena once again, moved under Salvatore, hiding underneath his leaf wings. She felt like she didn't belong here, and really felt sick from nervousness. Salvatore sighed as he watched the small fox hiding once again, looking around at all the chatty pokemon. There were a few who seemed of interest to him, and he hoped he would get the chance to know them better. But for now, he only scanned every pokemon closely, as Serena continued to hide and peek around.

Neo & Nyx

Nyx chuckled at the Charmander's comment, nodding his head in agreement. "Yes, it seems we got lucky this time." The Vulpix took note of the names again--Team Iris, Peter, Mercy--and did his best to commit them to memory for later. "It may have been apt to bring some refreshments, you're right," he added, frowning, "I'm not sure my partner would expect it of me, but it would have been something to fill the time..." There was nothing for it now though, the party was already in full force.

He politely waited as his companion's attentions strayed, though he never took his eyes off of him. When Peter looked back Nyx was ready with another conversation topic, but the other Pokemon spoke first. "Ah yes, Neo," the Vulpix replied, sparing a glance for his Leader, "He would be my captain. As for our focus, we've joined the Guild as Rescuers. I'm not sure I can call it a specialization just yet, as we've only had the chance to 'rescue' colorful bows as of late." He offered a good-natured smile. "How about yourself? What's Team Iris's area of interest? And what might your own interests be?"

Neo caught Nyx's eye when the Vulpix glanced back and sighed, aware that he'd been caught standing around. What sort of a leader did he look like, not even doing what he'd instructed his partner to do? Fortunately for the Psychic, he happened to spot a Tropius nearby, surveying the crowd as he'd been doing. Perfect, someone to talk to! The Meowstic approached the larger Pokemon with a friendly smile. "Hey there! Are you new around here too?" He blinked with surprise as he registered a shorter, shallow breathing coming from the Tropius's side, and glanced around to spot a few tufts of white and red fur sticking out behind the Dual Type's leafy wing; he'd almost missed the Fennekin altogether."I'm Neo, of Team Essence," he said, glancing up at the Tropius and back down to the Fennekin--the larger Pokemon's partner he supposed--trying to address both at the same time. "Nice to meet you!"

Salvatore noticed the Meowstics arrival, who had appeared to be excited with bliss as he seemed to be looking for some pokemon to talk to. The large plant like creature peered down, to face the small cat with eye contact.

"Uh, hello there. Well, yes."
The tropius glanced down at the small fennekin fox, pushing her out from under him, using his nose to try and get her to talk since he really wasn't much of a talker. Serena came out from under, facing the meowstic with a smile.
"Hii. Um, were from Team Halo."
Serena sort of pointed from herself to Salvatore, showing that them two are of the same team. She smiled cheerfully, sort of just bouncing around. trying her best not to seem so shy.
"Hello Neo, it's nice to meet you too! So like, are you enjoying yourself?"
Serena stopped bouncing, tilting her head to listen to the cats answers. Salvatore just kind of looked around, being the quiet type as he was and really not wanting to talk as much as Serena did.

Mercy - Peter

Cimm seemed to be... Wary around her. It was strange, because even though Mercy was also slightly concerned about him, at least she had a reasonable explanation. There had to be something else going on, though it honestly wasn't her place to pry. If Cimm felt like talking about it then he would. Mercy nodded her head ever so slightly, indicating that she had indeed picked up his name beforehand, due to the Aaron's outburst.

Mercy watched as Cimm seemed to grow increasingly more uncomfortable. He wasn't much of a talker, was he? Leave it to her to pick the hardass out of the crowd. He wasn't too awful to talk to, at the very least. He did seem to be very uncomfortable, though. "..." Mercy was about speak, and then paused to recollect what she was going to say. "Are you okay?" Somewhere along the line she had gotten distracted. That wasn't good.

Her ears perked up when Cimm mentioned being a Treasure Hunter, though. The Luxio gave a sharp trill. "You're Treasure Hunters, too?" This was great! Another Captain Luxio for a Treasure Hunting team? It was like they were destined to be rivals, or something. This had to be a sign from Arceus! She couldn't wait until she could tell Peter. But when she glanced back at her fire-type companion, he appeared to be preoccupied.

"The money is nice, like you said. And also like you said, there are some circumstances that led me to this guild." Mercy smiled, playfully baring her fangs. "I'm trying to put it behind me though, yeah?"

Peter smiled politely, clasping his hands behind his back. The Vulpix was interesting- Peter honestly hadn't expected anyone to approach him. It generally worked the other way around- even during his brief stint as a merchant apprentice. "I do wish that the Guildmaster would have said something about it not being an emergency, but- oh well. It's a bit late now." The Charmander gave a laugh that was only slightly forced this time around. Progress was being made. Now if only he could stop thinking of his social encounters as trials to be passed, then he would nearly have it covered.

"I'm not in a position to criticize Mercy. She's a good leader, from what I can tell. She's just... More suited to the field." Peter smiled at the Vulpix, listening intently as Nyx continued to speak. So, Neo and Nyx, the Rescuers from Team Essence? He'd have to keep that in mind. They certainly seemed capable, and if they had managed to get into the guild, then they had undergone the same trials as Mercy. Well, at least the Meowstic had.

He had gotten off-track, and Peter shook his head to clear his thoughts. "My apologies. Team Iris's area of interest is Treasure Hunting, mainly. However, I'm perfectly content to manage the files until Mercy pulls me out of the guild walls." The Charmander laughed, bitterly this time. "I came to the Guild for several reasons, mainly because I was faced with an ultimatum. Go here, or be a peddler for the rest of my days. I'd rather do something worthwhile and be paid than live that lifestyle and be unsure of where I would get money from next." The Charmander swished his tail irritably.

"I'm sorry. That was rude of me to drop that on you. Please, forget I mentioned it." Peter bobbed his head slightly in respect. "How are you taking to the guild thus far?"

Neo & Nyx

"Team Halo, huh? Nice name!" He wondered how they'd decided on it--there was always an interesting story behind how a Team got its name. Of course, he'd just come up with Essence because it felt "right" somehow, but Neo liked to imagine that most leaders had their own reasons. They were partners then too, a Tropius and a Fennekin. And he'd thought he and Nyx made a strange pair.

He smiled easily at the Fennekin's enthusiastic question as she began to bounce about, glad to see that she seemed to have gotten over her shyness. "Well I guess so," he replied, "I mean, it's a whole lot to take in, you know? I walk in and they tell me to go find a bow, so I go off to this castle, and then these Ariados give me the run of my life, and then I get back and meet my partner, and then the alarm bell rings, and now?"--the Meowstic paused to catch his breath before finishing--"I'm here with you." He laughed apologetically. "Sorry, I got a little carried away there, didn't I?" He hoped he hadn't rambled on too much. Oh well, at least it was a conversation starter. "So," he said after a moment, "How about you two? Everything going well for you?"

Nyx listened closely, his nine tails swaying gently with interest. "I'm beginning to think they pair us like this deliberately," the Vulpix remarked when Peter mentioned his Leader's preference for field work. "From what I've seen thus far, it would appear all leader and partner pairs are...rather different from one another. Perhaps the Guildmaster believes that our individual attributes are best suited to our partners' for personal growth..." It was only a theory, but Nyx couldn't imagine there wasn't some truth to it--the way the Sylveon had informed him of his new Team so proudly earlier that day suggested he'd had a hand in it. "I believe my partner and I are similarly suited to field and paperwork however. Though as second in command, like yourself, I've taken it upon myself to look after the administrative duties. Such is the life of a leader's assistant." Similarly to Peter, the Vulpix didn't seem to resent his duties, but accepted them as a necessity.

The vulpine Fire Type noticed the Charmander's intense reaction to his former life, maintaining a calm expression despite his companion's brief outburst. "Not at all," Nyx replied, offering Peter a smile of reassurance, "We've all had our own tribulations leading up to this point. I'm only glad you managed to find a better set of circumstances for yourself. I hope the Guild will be a place where you can achieve your goals." The Vulpix gave his companion's question a moment's thought before he continued. "As for myself...I believe things are going well, though it's difficult to say at this point. I arrived here mid-afternoon and was presented with my partner before I had the chance to adjust to my surroundings." Nyx frowned slightly, recalling the scene from when he and his captain had met. "I'm afraid I may have said something wrong. After we exchanged formalities Neo didn't seem very interested in chatting, so I don't know much about him at all." It was an obstacle that he was starting to overcome, at least the Meowstic had agreed to a conversation later. Shaking his head, he sighed. "I suppose not all meetings can be expected to go well. I hope you and Mercy had a better time of it?"

Cimm&Nuna

Cimm was taken a little aback by Mercy's excitement regarding being in the same group under the Guild. His ears flattened back to escape the noise she made, but for some reason it didn't bother him too badly. After all, he supposed it was a bit of a coincidence that two of the same species in the same stage of life would become new recruits to the same Guild at the same time, in the same division. It hurt the feline's head a bit to think of all the convenient occurrences.

He watched as she briefly looked to her partner who was talking to a vulpix now, before replying, then flashed him a gleaming smiled in a rather cheerful manner. The gesture wasn't deamening or forced, though he was still as skeptical as always about his judgement. But her answer revealed that she had her own 'circumstances' that she didn't necessarily wish to share with him either.

Cimm's anticipation deflated quite a bit, replaced with relief. He stilled his shifting and offered back an awkward quirk of his lips. It was the best he could get to a smile at the moment and was more by his relief than a kind gesture. The Luxio wasn't sure where to go next with the conversation, but Arceus forbid he have to go over the same nerve fraying lines with another member.

"Yeah." he replied simply at first, gathering his whirling thoughts that were just settling down. Cimm found Mercy's rather placid to happy demeanor at least a little reassuring and it gave him enough ease to center himself, though he knew he'd still mess thing up if he got too comfortable, "I was hoping this place would be a tad less...crowded, but it's a step forward, I guess. If everyone was more like Nuna, though, I'd go insane. It's bad enough we share a room... he grumbled the last part in a low voice, eyes wandering sideways in search for the pest, though he couldn't see her shiny metal plates amongst the crowd.

"Do you think he wants us to talk to everyone here?" Cimm looked back to his conversing partner from the mass, "I really don't want to." He blinked afterwards, a bit shocked he'd just said his thoughts out loud. Usually he was pretty keen at keeping his more negative thoughts to himself. He supposed this is what he should have expected when he chanced a conversation.

Serena smiled happily as the small cat replied how he had liked the name she picked. Honestly, she just picked it because it was one of those words that had a cool pronunciation, and angels were like things that helped out, and thats exactly what she was striving for behind her team name.

"Yep! Aw thanks! I like your Team Essence too! How did you come up with it if I may ask?"
The Fennekin questioned as she was very curious on show they picked there awesome team name. Essence, it just had a really cool vibe to it. It was fun to say it in her mind, she just kept thinking about how they came up with it.
"Oh wow, sounds like yours was a crazy kind of time. Ariados??"
Serena shivered at the thought of a bug type, I mean it wasn't as scary as a dragon type, but they almost just as scary to meet with there spider web things. She hoped she'd never meet such a Pokemon like that with any malicious thoughts. That would seriously make her just want to quit altogether, though she knew for a fact she couldn't do that because she was trying to become stronger, and that meant getting over her fears, no matter how scary they sounded.
"That sounds terrible! Are you alright??"
Serena questioned with care, as she hoped the Meowstic was fine and dandy. She knew they all had to go through tough times to reach better days, but it still worried her to no end about others, and it was something she couldn't help.
"Nah it's fine, you didn't get carried away, just gotta release anything that has happened and get it off your chest, right? Um well, for us, well me. I had to go into this creepy den with these huge dragons, I swear I looked like an ant compared to them. And they wanted to eat me, so like I just tried to keep on pushing through and get that bow, almost got it burned in the end but I managed to get the bow in one piece. And than I met this Trophius here, he's pretty quiet, so don't mind him. I wonder what were going to be doing next after we meet, its kind of exciting in a way. I kind of cant wait to like get out there, and help other pokemon. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. I'm a rescuer type of team? Which one are you?"
Serena bounced around again hyper, as if releasing all her energy for fun. She wondered what sort of team the Meowstic had joined.
