Nuvema Town is situated in the southeastern part of the Isshu region. It is where trainers in this region start their journeys.
The town itself boasts a moderate port, and even an airstrip. Outside of the town it is forested, leading northward onto the next town.

Once the duo were outside the lab, Sable wandered over to a decent-sized patch of grass off the side of the road so that she and the Snivy were out of the way of any other trainers making their way to the lab. She then plopped herself down onto the grass and laid on her back for a moment. The teen was tired from her wanderings across part of the region, especially since they were due to a slight mistake in reading the map she had."Ugh... If I'd known there was a port here, I'd have asked dad to book a ticket to Nuvema..."the teen griped as she stared up at the sky and watched the clouds.
"Snivy?"The small grass Pokemon walked over to the teen and poked at her arm a couple of times when he saw his trainer just lay where she was. The red-haired teen chuckled, then turned her head a bit to look over at her new partner."Sorry. I'm fine, just a little tired. Had a bit of a hike to get out here."Sable couldn't help but smirk a bit when the Snivy made a face of obvious displeasure at that statement."I guess you just want to get moving soon, huh? Alright, just give me a couple of minutes and we'll be out of here."
The Snivy huffed in annoyance, but was willing to accept that they'd be moving on fairly soon. In the meantime, he decided to wander around the town while he had the chance. After all, the grass Pokemon figured, he probably wasn't going to be seeing the town again for quite a while. The Snivy decided he might as well go check on a stash or two he left lying around and ran off to poke around at one of the houses in the town while his trainer took her rest. If she wasn't ready to go by the time he was back, well then, he might as well grab his ball and leave without her!

The few minutes had passed seemingly without incident, and after her rest Sable was ready to get moving again. As the teen sat up and dusted the back of her cloak off, she heard some sort of commotion from within the town that seemed to be traveling roughly in her direction. Standing, the female trainer soon saw what the problem was: Her Snivy was trying to chase down an Eevee that was carrying some sort of small pouch in its mouth.
For the most part, it looked like the Snivy was trying to get the pouch away from the small ball of fluff. For its part, the Eevee constantly seemed to be one step ahead of the grass Pokemon, dodging its lunges with ease and shaking its tail at the Snivy as if to mock it afterwards. This small scene continued for a few more minutes, but it seemed that the Snivy did actually have some bit of a plan. For the most part, it tried to direct the running Eevee so that, if it was going to evade capture, at least it would evade in the direction of the Snivy's trainer.
"Sni! Snivy!"the Pokemon called out as the Eevee got a bit too close to Sable. Nowhere near close enough for her to dive and grab it, but easily close enough for her to throw a Pokeball. She couldn't figure out a better idea of what the Snivy wanted her to do, so the teen pulled a ball out of one of her pockets and tossed it at the speedy bundle of fluff. Surprised, the Eevee let out a yip as it was sucked into the ball and couldn't even struggle before the lock clicked shut.
Feeling a bit proud that she managed to actually capture a Pokemon without weakening it, Sable walked over to pick up the ball that now contained an Eevee. As she reached out to pick it up, she felt the back of her hand get smacked by the tail of her Snivy, who looked more than a little ticked off at her."Ow! What gives? I thought you wanted me to catch it."The teen's statements mostly went ignored, as the Snivy's tail had also hit the Pokeball and let out the little Eevee.
"Sni! Snivy Sni!"was most of what the trainer heard, but what the Eevee was hearing was quite a bit different."Oi! Give that bag back! Either give it back or I'll make this idiot of a girl take it from you!"The Eevee just laughed before yipping back with his own reply."It's your own fault for leaving it in such an obvious place! And besides, how would she know to take it? Humans don't understand us, you moron!"
After another bit of laughter from the Eevee, it seemed that the Snivy couldn't take it anymore and lunged at the ball of fluff, knocking it over and the bag out of its mouth. Sighing, Sable just picked up the small pouch and carefully opened it."What, is this what the two of you are fighting over? What's so important about it?"the teen asked quietly, and soon enough got her answer. The tiny bag was filled almost full with a strange ash that seemed to sparkle when light hit it. Even more odd was that, partially buried in the bag of ash, was a jagged piece of crystal that seemed to reflect more colors than should be possible for a gem like that.
Even more curious, Sable carefully plucked the shard of crystal out of the ash, only to have it snatched away by the Snivy. Almost immediately after, the Snivy started to glow for a moment. When the glow faded, gone was the bright green grass type, and in its place was a red and orange Snivy. Apparently, the small starter Pokemon had decided that if anyone was going to use the crystal, it was going to be him by hell or high water. He flashed the Eevee a smug smirk as his trainer just tied back up the pouch and tucked it away. Already, Sable could tell that this journey was going to be a bit of a pain.

Sable let out a light sigh as the tussle between the Snivy and Eevee started right back up."Alright. That's enough out of the both of you,"the teen said as she knelt down and picked up the Eevee. The tan and creame ball of fluff was a bit surprised by how sudden it was, but did not object to the extra attention. Instead, the small normal type opted to bunt the teen's chin with her head in an attempt to act cute.
This really set the Snivy off, mostly because it seemed like his trainer was favoring the troublemaker of an Eevee at the moment."What's the big idea! Why's that mat of fur getting cuddled and carried! I'm supposed to be the starter, here!"The Snivy shook a fist and hopped up and down as it shouted at the teen, but all she could hear from it was various syllables of its name repeated constantly. Granted, the teen didn't need to understand Pokemon speech to get the gist of what the grass type was complaining about now.
The teen had a tilted frown as she adjusted her grip on the fluffy normal type while also letting the Eevee squirm around enough to get comfortable."Well, it wouldn't get us off to the right start for me to just recall one or both of you because of this mess. Better sort out a way to deal with it now instead of being the heartless person who just confines a Pokemon to their ball as punishment. They're supposed to be for ease of transport, not time outs.The teen let out a sigh, then offered another explanation."As for who gets carried, you've already slapped me once. I figure I've got a better chance of staying uninjured if I carry the Eevee instead."
On the upside, the explanations made the Snivy stop jumping angrily. Instead, the now oddly-colored grass type stared up at its trainer and blinked a few times in surprise. Meanwhile, the Eevee started wagging its tail quite a bit now that it was in a comfortable position and knew why the human opted to carry it instead. "Not so much of an idiot after all, is she?"the Eevee yipped down at the grass type, looking way too cheery for the situation it had just gotten pulled out of.
The Snivy huffed and looked rather irritated, but did not reply to the Eevee's words. Instead, it just started walking towards the town's exit, done with the situation. Behind him, the human carrying the little troublemaker followed along, mostly to make sure the he didn't get too far ahead. It was to be expected, since he was supposed to be her Pokemon and all. Hence why he only walked instead of dashing off. Dispite his annoyed comment moments ago, he didn't entirely disapprove of the human, at least not yet. He'd wait until he saw how she directed him and the annoying pile of fur in battle before making that final judgement.

As the group made their way to Accumula Town, Sable took the opportunity to get a better look at the route she was traveling through. She had been a bit preoccupied with avoiding getting bitten by the various wild Pokemon, and hadn't paid much attention when she was first traveling through. It actually seemed a bit odd to the teen to see an area like this one, as she was more used to sand, dirt, and rock being almost everywhere she looked. To be certain, there was some greenery in her home region, mostly in the northwestern portion, but that was quite a distance away from where she grew up.
A rustling from some nearby grass pulled the teen out of her thoughts enough to pay a bit more attention to her surroundings."Hm?"Before Sable could do more than make that small bit of sound, the source of the rustling jumped out and bared its fangs at the teen and her Pokemon. It was one of the many Lillipup that had decided it liked the taste of the desert dweller's boots and tried to n** at her ankles during her travel out to Nuvema. From the looks of things, the little canine was back for another bit of imitation leather, and seemed to be considering an addition of snake skin to its diet.
As the Lillipup yipped something at the traveling trio, Sable's Snivy shot the canine Pokemon a glare and stepped up."I'm not fond of my boots becoming that thing's chew toys myself,"the teen commented dryly, not thrilled about the idea of battling a puppy but knowing better than to go easy on it. At least, not when her Pokemon were barely stronger than the ones found in the wild around the area they were traveling through.

As the two Pokemon sized one another up, Sable could already tell the Lillipup was no match for her Snivy. She'd seen enough battles while growing up to have a rough idea of how a match would go just by looking at the Pokemon battling. Then again, that sometimes failed, in which case she'd have to judge based on the trainers commanding the Pokemon. Either way, this Lillipup looked like it had only recently started taking other Pokemon on, and didn't have much experience.
Frowning a bit, Sable positioned her arms across her chest as best as she could while keeping the Eevee she carried steady."This shouldn't be a problem. One Tackle attack ought to drive it off,"the teen said calmly, looking down at the Snivy as she spoke. The red and orange grass Pokemon nodded, then charged at the Lillipup with all the strength it could muster.
The strike connected, knocking the Lillipup back quite a ways. Seeing that he wasn't going to be getting anything to chew on from this group, the small puppy Pokemon used what was left of its strength to run back into the tall grass that it jumped out of. Sable felt rather bad, considering the little Pokemon wasn't much of a challenge and it did look rather cute, but considering that not too long ago she had to worry about keeping from getting chewed on by quite a few of its kind, she didn't feel as sympathetic as she knew she should.
With the battle won, the oddly-colored Snivy crossed his arms over his chest, puffed it out, and smugly looked up at his trainer and - more importantly - the Eevee. An Eevee which, for the most part, was unimpressed."Ooooh, big deal. You beat a little puppy. Why don't you wait until our trainer lets me loose before getting cocky,"the small ball of fluff calmly yipped down at the grass type, his tail wagging a bit from where he was held.
Seeing that another fight was about to start between the two Pokemon, Sable let out a light sigh and started walking again."Come on. Accumula is just up ahead."As she spoke, the teen gave the Eevee she was carrying a light pat on the head and earned a purr from the bundle of fluff. The teen could hear her Snivy grumbling, but chose not to comment on it this time around. For now, the desert dweller just wanted to concentrate on reaching the next town without any further troubles.

Sable had only gotten about halfway to the town before she was forced to stop. Once again, the teen was besieged by a coughing fit, and a bad one at that. It seemed like each breath she took forced her body to cough three times or so for a while. The trainer was almost gasping for air by the time Jin caught up, having a hard time actually getting anything into her system with how harshly she was coughing.
The most the disguised Zorua could do was keep by his trainer and rub her back as the coughing fit eventually subsided. He had a worried expression as the female trainer pulled the canteen out of her pack and took a few sips of water."You've only just recovered from that poison. You're not as tough as me or him,"the dark-haired male started, jutting a thumb at the last one to catch up, the Eevee."It's going to take you a couple of weeks to bounce back from this, so just take it slow. Alright, trainer?"
Sable gave Jin a few slow nods as she sipped some more of her water. As long as she didn't start coughing right in the middle of drinking, it'd at least help with how bad her throat was getting torn up."...I get it... No running for a while..."she eventually replied once she felt she drank enough water for the moment, her voice sounding hoarse. Her throat and the middle of her chest felt raw, but she tried to ignore the feeling for the time being. No reason to worry her Pokemon any further about stuff they couldn't fix.

With that little problem taken care of, Sable had a much more relaxed pace as she made her way into the town. Jin kept next to her, glancing at her occasionally to make sure she wasn't about to start having another coughing fit. After a few moments where it sounded like she was having a bit more trouble breathing, the disguised Zorua decided he may as well be in charge of the water and grabbed the canteen off his trainer's pack, giving her a bit of a smile as he did so."I figure it'll be easier than you having to grab at it in an emergency,"he explained with a grin.
Sable gave the dark-haired male a nod in response to his explanation, then looked around as he heard a rustling. Out of the bushes, much to the irritation of the teen, popped a Lillipup. As the small canine started yapping, Jin couldn't help but let out a loud laugh."What's so funny?"the red-haired trainer grumbled at her traveling companion as her eyes narrowed in his direction, her voice sounding quite abit rougher than intended due to her coughing fit earlier. This got Jin to stop laughing rather quickly, though he did keep an amused smile on his face.
"Oh, he's just saying something about biting those boots of yours,"he said while motioning to the Lillipup, quietly chuckling as he spoke. Sable did not share the dark-wearing male's amusement as she looked over at the Lillipup, her expression a mix of boredom and annoyance. Her Eevee apparently wasn't too thrilled about the idea either, and yapped annoyedly at the Lillipup as he padded up to face the mutt.
The Lillipup gave a small growl of warning, but that was about all it got to do before the scarf-wearing Eevee rammed into it. The normal type didn't need any orders to know what his trainer wanted him to do, or at least he thought he didn't. Turning his head to look at the teen and wagging his tail hopefully elicited a smirk from the girl, showing that he had, indeed, done what she wanted. The Eevee's tail wagged a bit more as he made his way back to Sable, and continued to do so as she reached down and pat his head.

As the trio continued on their way, Jin glanced back over at Sable."Say... Have you figured out what region we're gonna head to?"he asked, a few thoughts bouncing around in his head as he did so. He figured it would be best to ask the teen her plans before suggesting his own, if only because she was supposed to be the one in charge. After all, she was his trainer, even if the arrangement was a bit more odd than normal.
The red-haired teen paused as she thought for a moment, then shook her head."Not really. I don't know much about any of these other regions, so I'll probably be stumbling around no matter which one we go to."The teen felt her cheeks burn slightly as she made her admission to Jin. She wasn't entirely sure why, but she figured it had something to do with the fact that, coming from outside the league, she knew next to nothing about the regions that comprised it. Still, that was no reason to get embarrassed about it, right?
Jin nodded at Sable's words, then smiled as he saw his trainer blushing."Hey, don't worry about it sis~ If you've got no other plans, then let's head out to Kanto. I'm pretty familiar with the place, so we shouldn't have too much trouble wandering around,"he suggested, grinning as the red-haired teen huffed a bit."Come on. I'll even buy the ticket. It's the least I can do, since you paid for lunch~"With that cheery comment, the disguised Zorua made his way over to the ticket stand and stood in line.
After a bit of waiting, the dark-haired male made his way back and handed the teen a ticket."Here, that's yours. I'll either be riding in your lap or next to it~"The boy laughed as Sable's face got really red, then let his disguise shatter so that he now looked like what he actually was, a Zorua. The dark type laughed as his trainer tried to compose herself, then quieted it to snickers as her Eevee, also laughing, was returned to his ball. Apparently, the teen only wanted to deal with one troublesome fluffball while on the train.
Sable shook her head to try and banish the remainder of the embarrassing thought that had run through her mind, then glared down at Jin."I'm going to regret this, aren't I?"she asked with her irritated expression, although her tone suggested that she didn't really mean much by her comment. The teen then started walking to where the train was, pausing to pick up Jin and carry him aboard."Seriously though, we really need to figure out where you fit all that money,"she commented dryly as she showed her ticket to the man by the train, then kept quiet as she made her way to an open seat and made herself comfortable.
As soon as she left the lab, Kraven let her starter out of his ball. A white beam of energy shot out at the push of a button, and from it, the Oshawott materialized at her feet. The blue otter yawned loudly rubbing it's eye before looking up at his new trainer. "Watt? He cocked his head to the side, looking at his trainer quizzically.
Picking him up, Kraven stared at her starter pokemon as she held him in the air. "Let's see..." She mumbled, "Oshawotts evolve into Samurott... Samurotts have that big-a** spear-horn, so I'll call you... Gungnir! You like that name?" The otter just sort of became confused by the word she put out. But, he recognized it as his name, so he nodded regardless. "Great, then it's settled!" She set the pokemon down. "Now, next up, let's see what my parents packed me."
Moving away from the lab to lean on a tree, Kraven grabbed the large box that'd been sticking out of her bag for some time now. After struggling with the tape for a second, she opened it up, mumbling to herself as she listed off the items she found inside. "Alright so we've got a change of clothes... some sunglasses... A few berries, and this claw thing... a scarf... incense... and finally a moonstone, I think. Oh, and there's a few pokeballs in here too!" Bagging the items and taking the balls in her free hand, she dropped the empty box at her feet, and started letting out the pokemon inside the balls one by one.
The first pokemon to pop out was a Chimchar. If she remembered correctly, it's final form would be Infernape, and the way Infernapes' heads burned looked like an Olympic torch, so she named him, Torch. Second was a Spiritomb, and from the Malice Pokemon's eternal smile, she named him Joker. Next was a Volcarona who she named Mothra, for obvious reasons, and then a Shuppet, who she gave the name of Specter to. And finally, her last pokemon from the box was a Porygon-Z, which twitched and spasmed randomly. Since Porygons were the "Virtual Pokemon", it was given the name of Glitch. Whether that's appropriate or just cruel, however, is debatable.
"Alright," Kraven began, looking over her team. "Just gotten started and I've already got a full team! Pretty strong one too, according to the Pokedex. Guess all that's left to do is start heading to Accumula Town and do a little training. Onward!" She flung her arm out and pointed it in the vague direction she believed the town to be in, and her pokemon at her side, she started marching on.

☆ ☆【Stepping out into Nuvema Town after exiting the lab felt like a breath of fresh air, and Phoenix breathed a sigh of relief as she gently closed the door behind them. ” Well, glad that’s over and done with…” she said as she looked towards Klaus, giving him a warm smile. Whenever it was just herself and her Pokemon, she felt like she could be more like herself around them. It was because she had grown up listening to and taking care of Pokemon, and it was because of her past experiences that allowed her to actually ‘hear’ the voices of the creatures in a sense. Most others might call her crazy if they saw her talking with her Pokemon and sharing a normal everyday conversation with them like it was just the usual, but what do they know about understanding Pokespeak? Reaching down, she gently grasped the new Pokeball on her belt, holding it up and smiling as she held it out. ” Let’s meet our new family member, shall we?” she suggested, pressing the button in the center of the capsule. A red beam of light sprung out from the ball as the Pokemon inside was unleashed, striking the ground in front of them as a small, otter-like form with blue fur that turned to white on its head and arms and dark blue on its tail and feet. The Oshawott shook herself off a little, blinking in confusion as she surveyed her new surroundings. When her eyes finally settled on the forms of Phoenix and Klaus standing only inches away, the little otter Pokemon’s gaze fell to the ground as she nervously shuffled her feet, her little paws fidgeting anxiously with the scalchop on her belly. The fiery-haired girl smiled softly, the Oshawott seemed a bit on the shy side, which she couldn’t really blame the little thing for. ” Hello there, little one,” she said in a gentle voice, bending down slightly so that she was more on the Pokemon’s level, ” I’m Phoenix, I’m going to be your new trainer… There’s no need to be so shy, we’re going to be good friends, I promise~” The Oshawott seemed hesitant at first, before finally bringing her face up to look Phoenix in the eyes, her paws still rubbing nervously at her scalchop.” N-Nice to m-meet you M-Miss Phoenix…”she responded with a tiny smile, Phoenix clearly making out the Oshawott’s voice as being akin to that of a young and extremely shy seven year old girl. Apparently the little dear didn’t usually speak much, and when she did, her words always came out shaky and her voice always stuttered between words. Phoenix could sympathize with the little Oshawott, she had been rather shy and quiet when she had been a little girl herself, the form of her past self that was called Blue. ” It’s nice to meet you as well, and please, just call me Phoenix, or Phee if you’d like~ Though, if you’re going to be a part of our little family here, you’ll need a name,” she said with a warm smile, her eyes shimmering with thought as she searched for a possible name to give, ” How about… Hanaka? Or Hana for short?” The Oshawott gazed up at her nervously, her paws momentarily pausing in their fidgeting as she seemed to contemplate the suggested name. After a few moments of thought, the little otter Pokemon gave a small smile as she shakily nodded her head in agreement.” I-It’s a v-v-very pretty n-name… I-I’d v-v-very m-much like t-to be c-called by th-that, Ph-Phee,”the newly dubbed Hanaka answered as she waved her tail a bit in a happy manner, even though her stuttering made it a bit difficult to get out her V’s properly. Klaus couldn’t help but chuckle softly as he observed his new future teammate’s antics, finding it quite endearing how the Oshawott would stumble over her words and fidget with her scalchop whenever she was really nervous.” She’s absolutely adorable~ Can we keep her, Phee? Please?”asked the Zoroark, glancing up towards Phoenix with a mock begging look on his face as he flashed her his best puppy dog eyes look. The fiery-haired girl chuckled softly, rolling her eyes slightly as she lightly punched Klaus on the shoulder playfully. ” Of course we can, Klaus, she’s a part of the family now, isn’t she?” she said lightly, nodding towards the Zoroark at her side as she looked back to Hana, ” This is Klaus, he’s the big brother of our little family here, well, at least to you he would be. You can count on him to keep you safe and take care of you, he really does mean well despite his… mischievous nature.” The little Oshawott looked towards Klaus, gripping her scalchop a little tighter when she got a better look at him. The Zoroark seemed to practically tower over her, and his dark colors and facial markings made him look quite scary and intimidating to the marginally smaller Hanaka. Still, if Phoenix said that she could trust Klaus to help her out when she would need it, then perhaps it wouldn’t be so bad… ” N-Nice to m-meet you t-too, K-Klaus,”she said shyly, relaxing her grip on the little shell she carried with her a little. The Zoroark gave her a sweet smile, gently patting her on the head.” I know we’ll get along just fine, Hana~ Really, if there’s anyone around here you should be worried about the most, it’s Vicky,”he assured her with a nod, frowning slightly at the mention of his notorious teammate. ‘Vicky’ was a Houndoom named Victoria, who had a reputation among the team for being a bit of a bully, especially when it came to new arrivals, and she was also quite bossy and always seemed to think of herself as the team’s appointed leader. Klaus didn’t exactly see eye to eye with her on a number of levels, and he knew well enough that she loathed being called ‘Vicky’ as a nickname, but since she wasn’t around he could call her by it as much as he pleased. Hanaka seemed rather concerned when she noticed his scowl, nodding rapidly in understanding. If this ‘Vicky’ was really as bad as Klaus made her out to be, the Oshawott knew that it would be for the best to avoid her.” But hey, no worries, alright? Between Phoenix, myself, and Fia, you’ll be plenty safe if Vicky tries to give ya a hard time~”Klaus added as the frown melted away into a good-natured smile, trying to not make it seem like being a part of their family was that bad. He was sure that even Victoria had her own soft side that she kept to herself, but until he saw that quality in her himself, then she was still nothing more than a bossy bully to him. ” Remind me to introduce her to the rest of the family later on, Klaus,” Phoenix interjected with a chuckle, ” In any case, we should get going to Accumula if we’re going to start training up. Let’s get going, shall we?” Klaus nodded in agreement, they would need to get their train on to help beef up their team before they got to Striation to take on the first Gym.” Aye aye, Captain~”he answered with a grin, holding one clawed paw up to hids forehead in a mock salute. Turning towards Hanaka, he gave her a warm smile as he extended a hand out to her.” Come on, Hana, you can walk with me if you’d like~”he offered, trying to be polite and gentlemanly to help the newcomer feel more welcome. Hanaka seemed hesitant for a moment as she gazed nervously at Klaus’s proffered paw, before shuffling closer and gently taking hold of one of his crimson claws. With that, the three of them began heading off towards the route that would take them to Accumula, with Klaus walking alongside Phoenix, and Hanaka waddling along next to her as she clutched at his claw. Phoenix saw movement out of the corner of her eye, and glanced over to see someone else was walking, heading in the same direction she was. She was a girl with short, dark brown hair, likely a few years younger than herself, carrying with her a violin case on her back and surrounded by an interesting looking team of Pokemon. Phoenix quirked an eyebrow in curiosity as she scanned over each Pokemon that walked alongside the stranger, seeing that the girl had an Oshawott of her own, along with a Chimchar, Spiritomb, shiny Shuppet, Porygon Z, and Volcarona. She had to admit, the girl had some pretty strong looking Pokemon with her, it seemed almost hard to believe at first that she was just starting on a Pokemon journey as well… Perhaps she had some benefactors in play here, likely her parents or guardian. Phoenix wondered if she should go over there and attempt to strike up a conversation, but she wasn’t entirely certain… The fiery-haired girl had never been one to go out of her way to seek out social interaction with a stranger, and even then she wouldn’t know the first thing to say to get aforementioned conversation going to begin with. She supposed that maybe, just maybe, even if only this once, it wouldn’t hurt to try and make friends while she was on this journey of hers… As much as Phoenix was reluctant to agree to the idea, Mrs. Chu had advised her that it was wise to make friends wherever and however she could. She knew that she couldn’t always count on Clark to be there with her, especially when she was here and he was all the way out in Icirrus… But Arceus dammit, she was just so much of a social recluse when it came to people that the idea of approaching a stranger of her own intuition just seemed so… weird to her. Besides, it wasn’t so much the girl herself that she was interested in as much as it was the Pokemon that she had at her side. Klaus noticed Phoenix’s intent gaze on the other girl who was walking a few yards away from them, and chuckled softly. He knew that she wouldn’t go out of her way to talk with random strangers out of the blue, but perhaps he could be of assistance here. Turning towards the girl, he held out his free paw and waved to her with a grin.” Hey there!”he called out to the girl, figuring that if Phoenix wouldn’t instigate a conversation herself, then he would,” You heading to Accumula too?”Phoenix grimaced inwardly when she realized Klaus was talking to the other girl, half-hoping that the other would take no notice of them and just keep walking… Nonetheless, she did her best to keep up a casual front, knowing that she would just handle this as it came if the other girl did indeed acknowledge them. Absentmindedly checking her team with her new pokedex, Kraven had been walking rather slowly when she heard someone call out to her. Her head jerked up a bit, before turning to see who was talking to her. Though, her only response were a few confused blinks at first, surprised that a Zoroark was waving at her. Of course, it only took less than a glance to see his trainer behind him, though she couldn't help but chuckle a little at how much more willing the trainer's pokemon was to talk to her than the girl herself. "Yeah," Kraven finally responded. Putting her pokedex away in her pocket, she started walking towards the trio, though she still didn't bother to turn off her music.
"Well aren't you two just adorable." She commented as she got closer, noting the Zoroark leading Phoenix's Oshawott like a parent would their child. Then she shifted her gaze back to their trainer herself, extending a hand. "I'm Kraven, you just starting out too?"
While their trainer interacted with the redhead, her pokemon followed close behind. Torch had decided to hop on Mothra's back for a ride, just sort of watching the conversation, meanwhile Gungnir stared at the other Oshawott, cocking his head curiously. "Osh...awott? Wott wott, Osha. Oshawott?("Uh... hi? Sorry, I'm not great with introductions. I'm Gungnir, what's your name?") Even as he spoke, the blue otter leaned lazily on his trainer's leg, hoping to get a ride like Torch was.

☆ ☆【Phoenix couldn’t believe this was happening… While she had been buried deep in her own contemplations of if she should strike up a conversation with the girl who had some interesting Pokemon with her, Klaus had taken it upon himself to address the stranger himself as he called out to her and asked if she was heading to Accumula too. She knew that it would be best for her if she made some new friends while she was out here, but she didn’t mean right this moment! Still, Phoenix tried to remain calm and casual despite the fact that she was freaking out six ways to Sunday on the inside. She hoped that the other girl was too busy to notice them, she seemed rather engrossed in her Pokedex from the looks of it. Unfortunately, that would prove to not be the case as the girl looked up from the device, looking rather confused as to who was talking to her as she looked around. Phoenix grimaced inwardly as the girl’s eyes finally settled on Klaus, who was waving over to her. The girl then noticed the fiery-haired woman standing behind the tall black fox Pokemon, and seemed rather amused that Phoenix was letting her Zoroark do the talking for her. Then again, Klaus had always been more of a social butterfly than Phoenix herself, she might as well let him talk to other people for her because she was just too much of a social shut-in to do it herself. Klaus smiled as the girl then answered his question, saying that she was going to Accumula as she put the Pokedex she had been fiddling around with away and started walking towards them. Oh Arceus, she was coming over… Phoenix’s gaze went groundward as she heard the footsteps of the other trainer coming closer to them. What would she even say to the girl? Well, she could always talk to her about her Pokemon, but even then she wouldn’t want to give off the wrong idea. She wasn’t some Pokemon thief or anything of the sort, just a girl who so happened to be very interested in Pokemon, that was all. Her sea blue eyes ascended a bit to look at the other girl as she commented on how adorable the sight of Klaus leading Hanaka was, the Zoroark chuckling softly at the statement as he gave a nod.” Oh it’s nothing really, just helping to look out for the little ones~”he said modestly with a grin, moving back a little so that Phoenix wouldn’t be trying to hide behind him the entire time. Phoenix kept quiet as she ran her thumb along the leather strap of Lucille’s guitar case, hoping that the other girl would just lose interest in them and keep moving on as she kept her eyes to the ground. However, when the trainer addressed her, only then did the fiery-haired woman turn her head to look right at her as the brunette held out a hand to her. The girl introduced herself as Kraven, and asked if she was just starting out as well. Blinking slightly, Phoenix stared at the other trainer’s hand for a few moments, as if she was determining whether or not it was okay to do so. Then, hesitantly, she reached out with her own hand, taking hold of the other’s and giving a firm shake. ” Phoenix… It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Kraven,” she responded in kind, putting on her best polite demeanor as she nodded in response to Kraven’s question, ” Yes, I was just heading out to Accumula to do some training before taking on the Striation Gym, actually…” She kept her eyes trained on Kraven’s face, though her gaze wandered over slightly as she eyed the violin case that the other was carrying with them. ” I noticed you had some rather interesting… Pokemon, with you,” Phoenix spoke up, directing her eyes over towards Kraven’s Pokemon, giving a small smile as she saw the Chimchar was hitching a ride on the Volcarona’s back, and the other’s Oshawott, Gungnir, was introducing himself to Hanaka. ” I wouldn’t have thought at first that you were just starting out… You look well prepared to take on the first Gym already from the looks of it,” she offered with a small smile, trying to keep the small talk up as best she could. Now that Kraven was closer, she could see the headphones that were placed in her ears in a rather lopsided manner, likely so that the girl would be able to talk and still be able to listen to whatever music she had playing. ” I see you’re listening to some good tunes there,” Phoenix commented lightly, wondering just what it was that Kraven was listening to in those headphones of hers. Hanaka pressed closer to Klaus when Kraven and her Pokemon had come over, feeling rather nervous in the presence of strangers as she tightened her grip on the Zoroark’s claw and fiddled with her scalchop. She noticed the other Oshawott looking at her curiously, and gave him a small shy smile as he spoke to her. He said a rather hesitant sounding ‘hi’ to her, excusing himself as he mentioned that he wasn’t that good at introductions before he introduced himself as Gungnir. Hanaka’s smile widened ever so slightly as she gave a slight nod to him, her ears flicking a bit as he then asked her name.” H-Hanaka, b-but you c-can just call m-me Hana… A-And th-this is b-big brother K-Klaus,”she answered in her own shaky, stuttering voice, nodding her head towards her Zoroark companion as she mentioned his name,” I-It’s v-v-very n-nice to m-meet you, G-Gungnir.”Klaus chuckled softly as he listened, noticing how Gungnir leaned casually against Kraven’s leg, apparently a bit jealous that his Chimchar comrade was getting a ride from the Volcarona.” Making new friends already are we, Hana?”the Zoroark asked with a grin, gently patting the nervous little Oshawott on her head,” Don’t mind her manner of speech too much, it’s just how she talks is all, she’s a shy little flower~ In any case, it’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Gungnir, and your companions too~”As he spoke the last part, his eyes gazed over towards the other Pokemon that Kraven had, from the Chimchar riding on the Volcarona to the Porygon Z who seemed a bit spastic and twitched at random intervals.】☆ ☆

"You too, Phoenix," she responded, giving the shy girl a friendly grin. She could kinda see why the Zoroark was the one who initiated the conversation with her. The red-head's behavior just screamed "shy recluse". Still, the girl seemed friendly enough, if needing a little push to interact with people. As the girl's gaze shifted from her to her violin case, and then to her pokemon, Kraven herself took notice of the guitar case the other girl had. A fellow musician, eh?
But her eyes snapped back to Phoenix as she commented on her pokemon. "Heh, yeah," Kraven couldn't help but scratch her head at the compliment. "I'm pretty sure my parents just sort of threw together a few pokemon for me, but at the very least they made good choices." She looked over her team, the information she gleamed in her Pokedex flashing in her mind as she looked at them. "...I could probably run straight to the first gym and get through it, but I'd rather not just rely on one or two pokemon, so I've still gotta train the rest of them..." Her voice trailed off, just as the song that was playing came to an end. Just then, Phoenix commented on the music she had playing. "Oh, thanks. You wanna listen? Should be rolling over to the next song right now." Kraven lifted her headphones off her head, holding them out to Phoenix.
Gungnir continued to lean on Kraven, keeping his head cocked as he listened to Hanaka. Though, he smiled when she finished introducing herself and Klaus. "Nice to meet you, Hana, Klaus." His gaze shifted up for a moment as the Zoroark greeted them himself, explaining Hana's speech as well. "Eh, it's fine. It's no where near as bad as this guy." He motioned with his scallop towards the Porygon-Z, who continued to twitch randomly.
"W-W-W-Wh-h-h-h-hy, He-e-e-ell-ll-ll-lo the-ere, The virtual pokemon spoke, his speech stuttering and repeating like struggling computer. "P-Pl-Pleas-s-s-sed to me-ee-eet you! My n-n-name is G-G-G-Gl-Gli-i-i-i-itch-tch."
The Oshawott's closed eyes twitched. "If you couldn't follow that like me, he's Glitch. Chimchar's Torch, he's riding Mothra, and the one with the creepy smile is Joker. Oh, and Specter's the gold one."

On the left side of the laboratory, with eyes narrowed into slits of bright blue pools of disinterest, a certain snowy Persian lay lounging in a shaft of sunlight. His body was fully extended, with his fronts paws lying protectively across a case. How long had he been here? Four maybe.. five minutes? He'd lost track the moment he'd found this sunny patch of grass to bask underneath, though he did know that, however long had passed, it had been long enough for his trainer to have finished whatever task it was he'd needed to complete inside the laboratory. He'd promised him, after all. Promised him that it wouldn't be 'too long' and that he wouldn't be left lying out here, where one could easily confuse him for a street urchin and try and capture him. Kahn shuddered at the thought and his eyes dilated with the very fear, oh where was that-- oh, there he was.
It was easy enough to spot the bright haired man as he left the building, but Kahn was more concerned about the pink, tiny rocket hurtling his way. "Now hold on a second, Ceti--" his sentence was interrupted, its ending never to be completed, when the Cleffa latched herself firmly onto his face. "We got it, him, her, whatever!" she announced above the Persian's startled yowl and dug her small hands further into his fur as he reared up in surprise. Apollo couldn't help but to chuckle as he joined his two pokemon, bending down low to pick up his saxophone case from off the ground. "Thanks for waiting, Kahn." he addressed the pokemon and held back a chuckle when he responded with a grumpy, "per." muffled by Ceti, who still had yet to be dislodged.
"He got a Snivy." she informed him once she'd finally been put on the ground, which was of her own volition. "You know what that is?" Kahn shot her an irritable glare, one that softened within seconds and followed with a sigh. "Yes, I do." he replied only after he'd smoothed out the fur along his face. "You don't?" To the those who weren't blessed with the ability to understand pokemon, like Apollo, the conversation that the two before him devolved into the repetition of their species names, combined with wild gestures-- though that was mostly on Ceti's part. But, the male didn't have time to try and guess what it was his pokemon were saying, not when he still had another pokemon to meet.
