Va'lore could hear the hissing in the wind from the entrance of the cave, she could not see but she knew there would be a blizzard tonight. She was humble for the protection of these stone walls which she had found earlier. They provided her with warmth and water from the ceiling where it dripped into a small pool. She could hear it ever now and then falling and splashing into the small collection below. She had even collected small bits of moss and fur to make a bedding for herself.
She walked over to a small corner in the back of the cave where she stored her food, she picked some berries and small portion of flesh to eat before settling herself back into her makeshift bed. She chewed slowly as she heard the wind howling beyond the cave entrance.

Snow gathered thickly on top of Aevant as he trudged through the chilly white cold. The blizzard had come on suddenly, turning the once blue sky into a murky grey. The weather was unpredictable in the Land of Ice - one moment it would be perfectly still and the next clouds would roll from behind the pillared mountains like a demon from the Beyond.
With a rumbling growl - both mirthful and annoyed, Aevant shook off the layer of ice and snow from his thick coat and continued his march through the blizzard, head bowed against the icy breath that tossed it into his eyes and chilled his ears.
He had to find shelter before cold bit him like a ravenous beast, leaving it's mark on his nose and paws. A cave would be ideal...
With a sneeze, the large male peered through the blizzard, looking for rocks that would signal the possibility of cover. As he looked through the white, and walked through the thickening snow at his feet, the area darkened as he neared an outcropping of rock. Shelter! His pace picked up a bit as his blue eyes sharpened, free from the blasting wind. It was only when claws scraped against bare rock, and snow stopped falling on him that he realized he had come into the cover of a cavern.
