Derek entered the music room quietly and he was not surprised to see that no one was there. He slowly walks around the room, looking at all the instruments and books of music on a book case. He picks up one of the books and flips through it until a piece catches his eye. A small sad smile crosses his face as a distant memory comes to him. He makes his way to the piano in the corner of the room, and sits on the bench. He places the music book on the sheet holder, cracks his fingers, and begins to play. After a few minutes, he is lost in the music. The hair on his neck starts to rise and his body sways with the music. Once he finishes the song, he rests his head on the keys, catching his breath and thinking of the few mistakes he made. Well... At least I'll get to practice a lot here. ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

When he founds that there was not, he was tempted to head back to his dorm room, but decided to stick around and see if anyone comes to class. He opens the door and takes a look around before picking a seat by a large window. He yawns and brushes his bangs out of his eyes. A slight burn in his throat was nagging him to feed, but he ignored it and got up to inspect some of the instruments hanging on the walls. Devian looks at his watch, only 15 more minutes of the supposed class. With a huff he got back to his chosen seat and waits for the 15 minutes to roll by. She gave a small smile as she saw no one was in the room and decided to walk in. Closing the door quietly and shutting the blinds so it was a bit dark she sat down at the piano and opened the top slowly. The piano was beautiful, just waiting there to be played. Tracing the keys with her fingers, she finally rested on c major and closed her eyes before beginning to play. She played with her mood normally. It wasn't as if she was really sad. More calm, enjoying the silence. Yet inside, so lonely.
In truth she hadn't minded the girl who spoke to her, she just wasn't used to people, she was used to solitude. The ever cold demeanor she put up merly a facade. She was kind. Just timid and frightened easily. As she was thinking these things to herself she found herself changing the song as she began to sing. The funny thing was. She wasn't human, but she still bled when she fell down. She crashed and could break down. She had emotions still. She was part human. She had a heart that still beat. She could only take so much. To also be honest she wished she were a bit different. But she was still her. Her personality was her. Her past was her.

Break's eyes grew wider as the beautiful girl started to notice him. He flinched whenever she yelped and fell back in her chair. He closed his eyes hearing the thud! of her body making impact on the ground. He slowly removed his hands from his eyes and smiled at her as he stood over her with his left hand towards her. He waved and smiled really big. "Are you all right, ma'am?" He asked her, trying to sound like an older gentleman. It was no lie that he thought that she was really beautiful so he did his best to sound grown up so she would treat him the same. He giggled, though, because he couldn't help himself. "My fake mommy and daddy tell me that I could be a ninja because I'm really quiet." He told her, grabbing the chair and turning it upright. He patted the bottom seat for her to sit right back on as he dragged another chair to sit next to her. He stared at her with huge yellow eyes and tilted his head as he looked at her up and down. She was really tall and really... scared?
He waved once more as she greeted him and he got out of his chair and put his hands on his hips like he was some sort of superhero. He raised a leg up and extended his right arm out. "I'm Break Corvx, half crow! I'm a superhero!" He told her as he went back to resting position. He took a step towards her and put his hands on her knees. "What's your name?" He grinned.

Music Room | Tomoka
Break looked up into the girl's eyes whenever she did glance at him but it wasn't for very long. She quickly would dart her eyes around and get all flustered. Break found it cute. Older girls normally didn't act this way towards him and it made him wonder if she acted like this normally around everybody. He hoped that he really wasn't doing anything wrong and not getting on her nerves. His foster father had told him that sometimes he displayed a lot of energy that a lot of people just can't seem to take in so he has to be the big boy and calm down. Thinking about this memory, he took in a deep breath and let the girl take his hands off of her knees. "Your hands are cold." He stated as he put his hands together and took a couple of steps back from her so that he could get a full view of her. He smiled and lit up whenever she introduced herself as Tomoka. "There seems to be something wrong with her." He whispered to himself as he watched her. It kind of looked like she was having some sort of internal battle and was talking to herself but Break always found it way better to say what he needed to say out loud. A lot of people that he grew up around normally didn't read minds so he found out that speaking his thoughts were the best.
Well, unless they were mean thoughts then those you should keep to yourself.
"I really liked your playing! Did you teach yourself how to play? Fake mommy taught me how to play the recorder but I only know one song." He said, blushing just slightly as he scratched his cheek in embarrassment. He only wished that he knew how to play the keys on this piano so fluidly like she did. BUT NO ONE SHARES MY LOVE LIKE THE STAR IDOL GUILD. 100%

Break stared at Tomoka as she started to talk to herself. He understood, though, because he liked to talk to himself, too. Most times it would be in a sort of announcer voice like they have on the superhero shows. He giggled quietly and just watched Tomoka, leaning over to look at her tail as it moved back and forth. "Are you a raccoon?" He asked quietly before she smiled at him. He smiled back as his eyes lit up. "The harp is the thing that mermaids play, right? Are you a mermaid?" He asked, blinking before throwing his hands up in the air. Just the thought of someone, especially such a beautiful lady, teaching him how to play another instrument other than the recorder was such a bonus. He couldn't wait to share the news with his real mother and father when they come back to let him live with them. He could show off what he learned from Tomoka. "Would you show me how, please?" He asked, hoping in place a couple of times before turning to grab a chair. He pulled it closer to her chair and sat down on it, looking up at her with large eyes as he awaited her instructions on how to play. It didn't even matter if she taught him something so simple as 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star', the only song that he knew how to play on the recorder.

Swinging his legs as he sat against the chair, Break looked up at Tomoka with excitement in his eyes. He was a sponge and was ready for whatever instruction it was that she decided to give him. He opened his mouth in amazement as she told him what she was. "Wow! So that means that you can turn into anything that you want!" He said as he looked around for something interesting to turn into. He gasped as he looked over at her as if he were going to tell her some sort of secret. "Can you turn into not moving things, too?" He asked as he spread his arms out like some sort of plane. "I can only turn into a crow. I can fly, too! I like flying. We should go flying together later." He suggested as he suddenly felt hands lifting him up. He looked at her and smiled. "She's strong." He said to himself as he leaned his head back to look at Tomoka. Her legs were a bit bony to sit on but after moving around a bit to get comfortable he got used to it. He looked over at her hand as she showed him and mimicked her movements the best that he could. He listened to her intently, hoping to show that he was such a great learner. He nodded his head and would stare at her fingers as she started to tell him the different keys. "Why isn't it the entire alphabet?" He questioned as he pressed on the keys about a half-beat after she did. He did his best to remember the order but it was not registering for some reason. Still, he kept this to himself because he wanted to impress her. He giggled whenever she suggested that they practiced again. It must have meant that she was fine with him being around, right? "I can't wait! I'll try to practice as much as I can!" He told her as he turned to wrap his arms around her as best as he could without falling off of her lap. "Thank you so much, Tomoka!" He thanked before remembering that he had to go to his dorm. "Have you already gone to the dorms?" He asked her, wondering what level she was.

Though shook her head as she answered him. I wish I was that cool but unfortunately it only works on animate or living things. Like I said, specifically animals hehe. As she watched him spread his arms like a plane and say the thing about flying she couldn’t help but tease the cute little boy. For some reason she felt a bit comfortable around him. Are you asking me on a date~ Though flying is fun so I would love to So much for being cold and getting rid of him. I just…can’t…being kind comes easier. Though he also makes it hard to be quiet. Oh well. He really is like a baby animal. With a kind smile and a giggle at him saying she was strong she just shook her head. He was the light one. She waited for him to get comfortable before continuing showing him.
When he asked why it wasn’t the entire alphabet she tilted her head with a hum. Good question. I think it is mainly because all the keys are repeated for the most part. There are phrases to make it easier to know what the notes are on a sheet. Like, every good boy does fine. But since we aren’t’ looking at a music sheet yet you can remember the white keys like…hmm…Crows Don’t Ever Fly Giant Airplanes Beyond Cows. She said this phrase while going with her hand up the scale on C, D, E, F, G, A, B and back to the C. And then to go back down…u-uhm maybe you can think of one yea? She blushed lightly as she went down the scale because she couldn’t think of another phrase again. She smiled at him again when he said he would practice a lot and her heart was warmed with his excitement. However, when he hugged her she spluttered some words of nonsense her heart speeding up and face flaring like a tomato. A-anytime, a-and kind of b-but not really. I’m in Ashwood. W-why do you need me to help you find your dorm? She didn’t know why she asked. Probably due to her flustered state.

"That's still so cool, though, that you can change into other animals." He said, nodding to himself. "That would be a handy skill for a hero." He added in before blushing just a bit at her mention of a date. He blushed furiously and raised an arm to hide his face. "Buh--But I'm too young!" He exclaimed. The only knowledge that he had for a date was that people normally go in couples and end up becomming a family afterwards because their time spent together creates a baby. "Yeah, just flying..." He trailed off, looking away from her. He snuck in a few glances, still feeling hot from blushing. He then began to fan his face using his hands, moving them back and forth. It was calming him down just slightly as he took in a few breaths.
He heard her mention something about crows and widened his eyes when he realized what it was that she had done. "Wow! That's really cool!" He said. "Crows Don't Ever Fly Giant Airplanes Beyond Cows." Break giggled as he thought about that sentence. It didn't really make all that much sense to him but it was going to help him remember the order of the keys with a bit of ease now. "I get it now!" He told her as he put his right hand on the keys and began to press each key, naming off the letter that it was designated to. He couldn't contain his happiness enough that he went up to her and hugged her again.
Break tilted his head when she had mentioned that she was in Ashwood and looked away, embarrassed as she asked if he needed her to show him to his dorm. "I.. I kind of know where it is but I don't remember now." He admitted as he looked away towards his belongings that lay in a pile near the door from where he had been standing when he first came into the room.
