Bio (Up to five sentences minimum):
Maka was born around the same time Black Star was taken in to the DWMA, which was approximately thirteen years prior to the series's beginning. She apparently knew Black Star from a young age. Her mother, Kami, was an esteemed Scythe Meister, and her father was Spirit, Kami's Weapon partner who became a Death Scythe under Kami's hand. Maka was inspired from a very young age to become a student of Shibusen. Spirit often read books to her, which led to her love of reading and books at her present age. However, ever since she was small, Maka was constantly aware of Spirit cheating on her mother, which resulted in her dislike for her father and men in general. She can still remember all the instances in which Spirit had cheated on Kami. Kami divorced Spirit one month prior to the start of the series, and Maka vowed to make a Death Scythe like her mother, one that was even stronger than Spirit.
One day she met Soul playing the piano and the Demon Weapon played her a strange dark song on the instrument, stating that this song was what he was. Maka, however, liked his song and felt that he was an interesting person to get to know, also the first boy that she felt she could trust. The two agreed to become partners and have been a Weapon and Meister team since then.
Together, along with the spartoi team, lived great adventures, the defeat of Asura being the greatest one so far.
After the events of Kishin Asura, there was little to do. As Kid was starting to establish more communication with the witches, aiming to get a peace treaty between all races. At first, it was just the right thing to do. After all, the greatest menace was the Kishin and now, learning that they could work together there wasn't much left to do but to live happily.
However, thing's weren't easy for Albarn as she kept dreaming of her lost friend Chrona who constantly visited her as an apparition, always inviting her to play. But her feet were stuck or glued since she couldn't move to follow her and eventually Chrona gets lost in the darkness.
Those disturbing dreams were eating her rest. She wasn't much like her cheery self. Tired and even more laid back than Soul, she was starting to become more and more sedentary.
This preoccupied Soul, Spirit and everyone in general. She had to attend to various sessions with Dr. Stein and Marie to keep track of her soul and vital signs. A depression? Perhaps the lost of Chrona did affected much than she had thought. Soul was the one to point this out. At this rate there wasn't anything that Maka could hide from him.
It was then when she finally opened herself to the rest and told them about the dreams she had been having recently.
"So, we aren't the only ones."
Those words quickly moved Maka from her rather down state as if she had awaken. Leading her eyes towards Kid who had just spoken.
"After the incident in the moon I believe most of us saw the resemblance the satellite took right after Assura was taken down."
Blackstare would start to burst into laugher while tsubaki tried to control him.
"Kid, don't start with it again."
Said Liz attempting to keep Kid from going any further.
"It is not a laughable matter Liz I am being serious. It is the madness of boobs."
He finally said it which made blackstar unable to control himself as he always found it funny.
"Kid..."
Liz tried to hold it but it was just to ridiculous, yet she already knew there was no way to keep the Shinigami from talking.
"Listen, It has been 4 years already. That I am assured. But the shape of the moon hasn't changed. Maka has been having these dreams since last year And ... well. We've been really friendly to one another."
Tsubaki flustered, Blackstar paused for a brief second as Liz slapped Kid on the face with a face as red as a tomato.
"You are not supposed to bring this into conversation."
Stated the shocked Liz as it was now Patty the one who was laughing. Kid merely chuckled as he took things with more maturity than most of them. Maka and Soul were still unable to puzzle things out. At least Maka didn't understood that completely until a few days later.
But After Soul Looked blackstar straight into his eyes he realized where this was going.
"Woah! Not cool. Don't tell me you..."
Because of his previous experiences he was most likely going to receive a Maka chop if he spoke any further. Which allowed him to keep word to himself. He would clarify things with Kid or Blackstar when he had the chance. For now. Maka's health was top priority. As none of the presents wished to see Maka loosing herself.
"Anyways, where are you going with all this Kid."
Said soul to which Kid chuckled and proceeded.
"Well. I've been already in the moon so I can assure you that madness has not been eradicated but rather adapted to this situation. The clowns if provoked would be vicious as usual but if not they are growing a rather interesting culture on their own.
You've seen here that most of the crime is lowering. Everything has become more relaxed than usual Festivities as immensely enjoyed by everyone. And the very mention of a family member warms the bottom of your chest for no apparent reason. Despite the fact that you might had hated each other prior to the event."
Soul was shocked, Maka was paying more attention with every second.
"I believe We've been played by Chrona. As up until now, the family longing and the pursue of a mother like figure, particularly their bosom. It is but the side effects of Chrona's madness."
Things were starting to tie up. Maka was understanding now.
"Then, these feelings are because of Chrona. Then that means I..."
She was interrupted by a nostalgic feeling.
"That's right. You are developing madness because of an unfulfilled wish. That is the only explanation I find as to why everyone is all cheered up while you keep withering in nostalgia.
Maka, please. If there's something we can do, then just ask, and we'll do as much as we can. But I am afraid this is something that you must face alone."
Kid's words sunk into him. Truth they were rather harsh, but truth non the less. Liz would scold Kid's lack of tact when handing the information.
Days continued, but Maka didn't feel like getting any better, rather she was more anxious. Why did her mother stopped sending any letters? Things were just more and more unfair. The only times she felt okay were by visiting Spirit, which he greatly appreciated every single minute he could take from her daughter. Yet it wasn't enough. And Spirit knew it. Regardless of that, she knew that she could always count with Papa for a safe haven.
Other times he spended them with soul which give his best to ease her soul with his music. They were wonderful. And so it was being at ease with Papa, but it just wasn't enough.
The worst was yet to come when during one of those dreams she actually caught up with Chrona, but she was sleep walking and almost fell from her apartment. If soul wasn't there in time she could have been greatly injured.
Worried about this. Both Spirit and Soul decided to stay with Maka in the apartment. Switching turns to keep her at ease during those restless nights. And for a brief period. Maka was truly at ease. Which was a relief for both Scythes but it was starting to get a token into them. There must be some other way.
Aware of what was going on with Spirit and Soul. Maka couldn't keep them looking out for her if that meant they would slowly fell into the same pit she was. And so, she pretended to rest peacefully for the next week. She knew they would eventually loose strength and succumb into slumber.
Dressing herself up, she quietly left the apparment and headed for Shibusen.
Tanks to her grigori soul She had also learn how to float. Not as an expertise as Gopher but she could handle it quite well.
Kid would smile, both pleased and amused to have Liz by his side, and with a kiss upon her sleepy head he would leave her rest. For as much as he wished to join her in her slumber there was something keeping him up. Which guided him to the balcony of his chambers only to find a beautifully pale bird perching from the edge of the balcony.
"My, my. I thought I heard it from Soul that you were sleeping just fine. Are we having insomnia today Albarn?"
Greeted the shinigami as he extended his hand to keep Maka away from the edge. Grigori soul or not, it made Kid feel uneasy to have a friend hanging that perilously from a balcony.
Maka smiled and accepted the invitation and so she was lead by kid into another room of his chambers.
"Now tell me. What do I owe the pleasure of your visit?"
Make smiled going perhaps a bit forwards as he stroked his cheek with her hand. truth it was getting Kid a little nervous. Especially because of his own words back in the infirmary.
"M-maka are you alright?"
Something was off, he could tell just by looking into her eyes. None the less she remained just as calm as she got there, staring intently into his eyes as if she was luring him out from his comfortable zone into her domain, metaphorically speaking that is.
"Last time you said I could ask anything from you. Do you plan to take those words back?"
Kid was caged. What was he supposed to answer in this kind of situation. However, with a firm hand he took Maka's to gently remove it from his face, to hold it dearly between both hands.
"Anything you wish."
Regardless he was a shinigami, he gave his words and wouldn't take them back even less if that meant to help a friend in need.
Maka appeared to be pleased by his answer as she reached for his hands with the one hand she had free from his warm grasp.
"Good, then I want you to take me to the moon."
Kid was shocked, frozen to be exact. He didn't saw that coming. At most, he expected something. Well a little more special. Or delicate. Like seeking for her mother for example as neither him had heard word from her. But, from all choices the moon? However, that night, the stars grew brighter in Maka's eyes. There was no way the shinigami could refuse.
"Kid... no, Shinigami sama. Take me to the moon."
After that. Kid became just a little more serious towards Maka. By the time she left the chambers for the second time. It was like Maka was a completely different person. He didn't approved of what had happened but he was at least sure that Chrona wouldn't torment her.
After that day, the moon became normal again.
Spirit and Soul would eventually return to their normal activities as they could see Maka was in better shape and didn't fell in depression anymore.
Rather, she was brighter than ever. Often visiting Spirit, hearing Soul play. Heck she even volunteered to practice with Blackstar who was eager to test the strenght of a weapon Gene.
Maka was different. And Everyone could tell. For the first time since those sleepless nights. Or even before. Maka was now complete.
Few Years Later, Just as Evan's was walking out from a concert he left to his old apartment.
Dusty, most of it, it was still as that first day where they moved in.
"It's like traveling back in time isn't it?"
He was tartled by Maka's voice before he was showered in dust as she landed from the balcony, she was surely enjoying this grigory soul to the fullest.
"Cough! Couch! Damn it Maka. You could at least knocked the door."
Answered Soul to which she grinned.
"huh? But isn't it Cooler if you get a flashy entrance like this?"
Teased Maka while helping him shake the dust off.
"Not if you give me asthma from this"
Maka grinned.
"Oh, so our prestigious Death scythe is afraid of some dust bunnies?"
This would lead to a pursue by all the apartment. Which brought them back home with some dear memories.
Once in their new home first thing they needed was a shower. And of course as competitive as they were none of them wanted to give in the first minutes of the hot shower.
Which lead to another chase by the apartment. The halls would be filled with laughter and squeals before both of them would finally decide to share. Perhaps a little more then just a shower.
However, because of the events on the moon. Peace didn't last for long. And so Maka and Soul had to give their best to keep this place safe. Especially since Maka knew, that they wouldn't be alone for long. As a tiny soul was forming inside Maka.
