After the battle with the pair of Firani they were on their way toward the ocean once more, with Tallulah getting more and more excited as they went. Just the scent of the ocean alone was more then enough to put the Merkorian into a better and better mood as they walked, his tail wagging behind him as they walked, "It's been far too long since I've been able to swim in the ocean! Oh, I am so looking forward to a dip in the cool, salty water." He said in a happy manner, a sort of purring sound escaping from his throat as they continued along. He gave Nehelini a glance as he thought about that, then smiled, "Oh, yes, I was going to teach to swim, wasn't I? One of those things that is easier said then done in Eowyn, but maybe once we reach the ocean we can see about doing that."
He thought about it a moment then quickly added, "Provided of course that the water isn't teeming with Peisio or snappy fish, I wouldn't want any of those to hurt you." He said, one clawed hand ruffling Nehelini's pretty hair before he looked ahead once more, "If either of those are about though I will see about clearing them out for us, then we really can see about some swim time. Oh! And we can see about checking the tide pools, there are always tasty things trapped in those that we can catch for lunch, wouldn't that be nice?" His tail was wagging again as he chatted with Nehelini, rather enjoying the time that he was spending with the little whelp, just the two of them. Not that he wanted to run Eyphah off or anything, he just had been enjoying himself with the boy was all. He wanted to teach him, be it hunting, cooking, maybe magic when he was older... a thought that he seemed to give pause on.
No, no wait... not when he was older, he would probably be back with his family before then, huh? Not like he would be able to bring him to the Dovaa home land to do... well, whatever it was that Dovaa did to become a part of a clan. For Merkora, as well as Khehora. one was born into their clan. For Dovaa though it seemed different, like the little one with him now, he was of no clan and yet his family members were. It must be some sort of magical ritual that was similar to a degree to the sort that Eyphah and himself had gone through to become more powerful. The same but different, but either way he wasn't going to be there when that happened most likely. No, they were going to find Nehelini's brother and uncles, he'd go back with them, and Tallulah would return to what was normal life with Eyphah and his clan. That or Tallulah would head back to the ocean to check on his own clan, to see how they were doing at the moment.
Shaking his head he put a smile back on his lips and said, "We shouldn't be far off now, I can hear the ocean." He told Nehelini a moment before they came up over a tall dune and were able to see the water. Out amongst the waves that were coming in to crash against the shore he spotted at least two, maybe three, Peisio dragons splashing around, hunting fish, and he tilted his head to one side, "Hmm, well, good news is that we found some dragons. Bad news is that we will have to clear them out before we go swimming." At least they had been looking for dragons initially so it wasn't as though it was a bad thing to find them. They would just have to clear them out before they were able to enjoy the ocean themselves was all. It would be worth it though since Tallulah did want to continue to help Nehelini to get stronger so long as the cute little whelp was in his care. Sure, he had to give him back one day, but until that point it was his job, as well as that of Eyphah, to keep him healthy and help him to get stronger even if all Tallulah wanted to do was coddle him.

Nehelini was sorta worn out mentally from that last battle, but it was a good mental worn out. The child started to get excited himself as he saw the elder's energy pick up. It was catchy and being a child Nehelini was easily moved by the attitudes of his elders around him. The little dovva smelled a salty scent he was used to only vaguely. It was familiar yet...at the same time not. His memories supplied a woman's murmur along with the scent. It was faint in the back of his mind but the word was clear; 'Mother.' He felt tears prickle his eyes and shaking his head smiled. He giggled at Tallulah's excitement chirping out; “I've never seen the Sea before Tallulah! Is it really big?” he squeaked out. Then added on, “I hope its cold!” As he darted up to his elders side he reminded him of something, “Tallulah you said you would teach me how to swim.” at the elder's answer he giggled, “Silly.”He tilted his head at the elders warnings. Wait what?!? Oh no...he was going to become a Dovva snack wasn't he. Maybe coming out here wasn't a good idea, “Uh...I'm not gunna become a Mini Dovva snack am I?” he pouted at the hair ruffle. A small part of him allowed for a small nuzzle in reply before he spoke, “As comforting as your support is Tallulah...those things don't really care about how close we are.” he giggled, “Yup! We both can handle them though. I don't mind helping you out!” he was getting excited himself. Nehelini was surprised, he wasn't a big fan of fighting before these two males were introduced into his life. He tilted his head as he tried to think about it...but the reason escaped him. Odd. Maybe he would learn why when he got older. He snapped back to attention to his elder again; “Tide pools? What are those?” he was curious. Also what was in them...little tasty things huh? Well this day just turned into a learning experience all around. All right! He nodded excitedly, “Yup! Tallulah when we swim. Do I have to take off my clothes, cause we forgot to bring extra.” he pointed out. The child was all right with stripping in front of the adult. He just wanted to make sure with the adult that knew more than him. He was enjoying himself however with the elder. He thought of more the could learn as he got older. He blinked, when he got older. Odd. There was that feeling in his tummy again. He made a face before shaking his head. He knew what he wanted. He wanted to stay with the two males who saved his life. Then showed him all this world had to offer, he knew with his Uncles they would only strive to keep him sheltered from the world. Sheltered vs Free. He knew the obvious choice was Free. The child smiled and nodded to himself. He made to run to Tallulah to tell him the good news of what he wanted! Then he paused. Wait. If he decided to remain with the two, then his Clan Choosing. That was special. He wanted to pick his Pa's clan, the clan of his Uncle as well. Who was he to take that from his Uncle? He couldn't. So the child took a step back and nodded. He would talk with his Uncle about finding the two again once he choose his Clan and underwent his changes. Baruin said it would all right, when he was younger and asked about the elders Clan Choosing. Baruin told him to ignore the more trickier siblings who would lie to get Nehelini to be afraid of what he really shouldn't be. So, the toddler was reassured as Baruin said it didn't hurt...just was odd. He wondered if he could ask for Tallulah and Eyphah to be---wait no. Not Eyphah, if what he thought was the subject of Eyphah's 'Kheorian Boost' meat then Eyphah might be a bad choice. Hey, he might be a child, but he knew hidden meanings. He heard them all the time with his Uncles. Uncle Jax was always asking for 'alone time' with Uncle Rhys. Nehelini knew the two were trying for a child. He knew what 'alone time' was from what he heard from the older kids growing up. Nehelini nodded excitedly, “Let's go!” He grabbed the elder's large clawed hand. Then saw the ocean. It was amazing! The child smiled brightly, “I don't mind them! But they are going to make it difficult to learn how to swim.” He looked at the elder, “We can do it! I know the two of us can!” He smiled. Till the day he would return to his Uncle's shadow. The child didn't mind following Tallulah's. Word Count: 817/900

Tallulah thought on the question for a moment before giving a shrug, "I would say whatever you're more comfortable swimming in. Given the hot wind that blows across Eowyn your clothing wouldn't stay wet long if you decided to swim in them." He explained, though Tallulah himself meant to either shed a few layers as he knew that some of what he was was for show only, like his shawl and sashes, that or they were thing he wrapped around his throat to protect his gills when the wind picked up and started kicking sand around. Either way they weren't exactly neccessary when it came to swimming.
Reaching a hand out he gave Nehelini's hair a gentle petting before he said, "Come on, I will lift you up for now, to keep you out of the way of any excess water." He said a moment before he swept Nehelini up, resting the boy on his shoulders, before he set to casting a spell. It wouldn't seem as though it were doing a lot, not at first anyway, but after a bit of time and a lot of magical energy poured into the spell it would become more obvious. Tallulah was effecting the sea, pushing and pulling at the waves, before he got a big one to come rolling in, dragging the trio of Peisio dragons onto the land where they would be at least a little bit easier to deal with for the two of them. As the water swept in it came as far up as where Tallulah was standing, rising to his knees, before going back out to sea once more.
"There we go, now, let's see about finishing them off." He said, giving the boy a smile. With that he turned his attention back to the Peisio, gathering up some more power so that he could lift the water up at his command, using it to entangle the Peisio before asking, "I have them entangled, can you deal with them, Nehelini?" He gave him a smile before he added, "I know you can do it, you're a strong and very brave boy. You can trust me, I won't let them go."

Nehelini blinked then letting out a pure delighted giggle settled himself on the shoulders of the elder male. He blinked as he watched the dragons being dragged and lifted into the air. He squirmed off the broad shoulders to land lightly on his feet. Picking the largest of them the child ran forward. Recalling how he took out the Firani he leaped and kicked the Peisio in its temple. Feeling his foot indent the child squeaked as he landed. The dragon falling to dust. “Oops...a little too muAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!” he screamed. One of the other dragons snapped one fang reopening a small part of his already wounded shoulder. The child smacked the dragon with his staff, stunning it as he peeled back to Tallulah. Tears stung his eyes. Word Count: -met- (945/900)

Tallulah watched as Nehelini went forward to take care of the dragons, able to deal with one of them pretty quickly before one of the other ones jerked forward out of Tallulah's grip to n** at the boy. He gave a cry, something that made Tallulah flinch, before fleeing back to him. Reaching out with one arm he scoop the boy up, putting him back onto his shoulder, before saying, "You did very good, Nehelini. I will help to heal your would in just a moment, let me deal with these two." He said, turning back to the dragons that were before them.
Lifting his hands he set to moving them, manipulating the water, and with a few quick motions he used it to snap the necks of the dragons he had entangled in the water. The dragons faded away leaving the orbs floating in the water. He gathered up the rest of the orbs before drawing them all over in a bubble of water, "Very nice work, huh?" He said, reaching into the water to pluck the orbs out of the bubble, tucking them away for later.
"Hmm, we might need to see about getting you some armor, Nehelini. It seems you're a lot more vulnerable to wounds then I would like." He told him, wanting nothing more then to keep the boy safe from such things, meaning that he was going to have to find a good way of doing so. Armor would likely be the best way, though maybe he should leave that to the boy's family? He didn't want to over steps his bounds in his attempt to take care of the boy, "Come on, we will see about taking a little break and tending to that shoulder of yours before we consider swimming."

Nehelini sniffled as he nodded, "I still wanna swim, though....right now my shoulder argues against that." he thought about it, "Maybe we can explore the tide pools? I can watch you swim, I can learn later on."
