Nehelini was still having some difficultly with certain movements which aggravated his shoulder. The child just knew this was going to affect him as he got older. How badly he didn't know, but it sorta scared him all the same. He knew Eyphah wasn't too far off if things got truly serious, which in itself was a relief to the childs mind. The diabi was a strong male indeed, Tallulah was strong too. But Nehelini considered the other male strong in a different sense of the word. The child was looking forward to the hunt with Tallulah, excited to see just what the other male could do. The small Dovva trotted to keep up with the other male's long strides. It seemed as if Tallulah was excited about going near the sea. Nehelini blinked, a small part of him hoping the Merkorian remembered his swimming lessons. Or this might of just gotten....bad.
The small child looked up as he saw the elders head turn towards him. He squeaked up as he replied,
“That's not a problem Tallulah! We can get to things just as well with two legs! As Uncle Rhys says 'You have two legs and a heartbeat! Do it for yourself!' or...at least that's what he says to get me to do new things. Like eat veggies.” The child made a face. Recalling a few moments when those words were used to convince him to finish his plate. Something he knew to do to make his Uncles feel better. Baruin would merely snicker. Nehelini let his mind wander as he felt sad when recalling his family, if they were gone----NO! He shook his head, he wouldn't go down that dark path. His family was fine...he sighed before looking up. His mind then wandered to flying again. That was fun, but...he glanced at the male's tail currently waving beside him. That tail must of gotten Tallulah through the water way faster than his legs could.
Quite honestly the child wasn't comparing Tallulah and Eyphah all that much mentally. He looked more at them as two halves of a whole. He blinked, that was a good way to look at the two of course. The two dragon like males were nearly perfectly suited for one another. Yeah they were. He rubbed at his shoulder as he felt it twinge, glaring at his wounded arm he figured he could ask Tallulah to look at it when they got back to the Caves. He looked up,
“All right with what? Tallulah?” he gulped at the next words.
It was all right, this is what they came out here to do. Hunt Firani, it was okay. Tallulah was here. He was safe...he took a few deep breaths. His smaller body moved closer to the elder, knowing Tallulah's shadow was a safe place. He took a small form of serenity from that. He felt safe out in this wide world with Tallulah and Eyphah.. The day he would return to his family was going to be a hard one. What would he choose? Sure he had questions for his Uncle to answer. But he was learning so much while out here. Accepting so much more than he figured he would of in his Uncle's shadow. He knew what he wanted. He wanted to learn, Tallulah and Eyphah could do that for him. His Uncle would understand, his elder brother...that might take a few years. He blinked at the sight of the two dragons. Gulping he nodded,
“O-okay....” His jaw dropped as the elder swiftly made work of the first dragon. Steeling his nerves he was about to answer before he saw the other Firani rear up;
“TALLULAH!!!” the child actted fast. Running at full speed before using the elders tall frame to his advantage. He placed a foot on Tallulah's leg and leaped up to the merkorian's shoulder. Bracing his hand there he brought his staff down on the Firani's head, then followed the blow up with a swift kick to the dragons temple. A weak point and instant kill if struck with enough force on any living creature. It held true in this moment thankfully. Once that was dust he found himself on the elder's back,
“Uh....look out behind you?”Word Count: 713
