LyricLyric paced back and forth, swimming, by the shore of the beach. The beach was lone and deserted, due to the cold that had set in. Lucky for her, her body was built to deal with cold temperatures and cold waters, though there were warmer shores in the soquili lands. Lyric wished there was someone out and about, preferably a kelpie like her, or even a mer, that she could explore with.
She had many adventures on land with her mate, Heath, but she did wish sometimes for a friend to explore with under the water. She had recently discovered a sunken ship, not far from the shore she now swam in, that she desperately wanted to explore. She had told Heath about it, and the two of them had fantasized about what kinds of treasures would be inside of it, but she hadn't gone in to explore yet. She was a very careful girl, and she knew it wouldn't be safe to go alone. She paced this shore so that she could find someone to explore with, and the water was the best place to look.
However, Lyric felt so alone out in the water. She couldn't see anyone around. "Hello?" she called hesitantly, in hopes someone might hear her, but not really expecting it at the same time. She sighed and called out, "is anyone here?"SwordOfTheDarkOnes Here we are! Sorry for the delay! Got caught up playing Pokemon Alpha Sapphire!

BelaLucina [HEY WE HAVE THE SAME GAME!!! <3] Jetalra had been on the sea floor, swimming her usual lazy pattern. For all that her human lived deep in the mountains the female mer had found her way there through a underground spring which flowed out into a lake nearby. Since meeting the near silent human the Mer became the first mare in the small herd. She found that the current was easy for her to fight to get out of the lake and out into the ocean. The female mer wanted to take something back with her to her human, but first....she noticed the Kelpie female swimming in the shallows. Oh! Fun! She swiftly swam up to the other female, curious but excited at the prospect of a new friend. She breached the water to let out a soft ninny of greeting, "Hello there! Its rare I see any other swimmers nearby these waters. I am Jetalra of the Finnis Bloodline. Or Jetta to friends...you can call me Jetta!"

Lyric was surprised when the mer mare popped up out of the water, because she had not seen anyone nearby and she had only half expected someone to answer her greeting. She seemed like a nice mer, and Lyric smiled.
"Hello, Jetta," she answered back, thinking it a very nice thing to be allowed to call her what her friends called her. Perhaps they would be able to be friends Lyric thought. "I'm Lyric. And my friends call me...Lyric." She laughed and then said, "I'm glad you heard me, I was afraid it was going to be another lonesome day in this sea! Do you live near here?"
Lyric was excited to have someone to swim and converse with. Now she just hoped this mer soquili would want to explore sunken ships with her!SwordOfTheDarkOnes Yay pokemon Sapphire! And the holidays! Been busy busy! XD

BelaLucina excuse the lenght...sleepy Jetta giggled as she lazily moved her tail about in the water, the mer was curious about the kelpie. She had seen so few in her lifetime. She wanted to learn more, "So, Lyric. Did you have an adventure in mind, is that why your down here?"

Lyric grinned and answered Jetta. "How did you know?" She laughed. "I did, actually!"
She looked around, as if to make sure no one was listening in, and then whispered, "There's a sunken ship around here. I haven't gone down to explore it myself, but...with someone to help me," she paused and then said in a rush, "well it could be a really fun adventure!"
Lyric turned in a circle excitedly and then stopped to watch Jetta. It was strange, but she felt like they were friends already. "Well, what do you think?" she asked with a grin.

Jetta chuckled at the other mare, her tail fin splashing as she darted closer to listen. She let out a coo, "Oooooh I think I know which one your talking about! Yeah that's one i wanted to look at, but its better to go with a friend to those sort of places."She nodded, "Lets go!" she dove under and awaited her new friend.

Lyric was ecstatic that the other mare was as excited to explore as she was. And she even knew the ship she was talking about! What could have been better? Making friends was easy Lyric thought. She dove down under the water, following after Jetta. She would let Jetta lead the way, since she also knew where the ship was.
"I'm glad you know the one I'm talking about!" she called, her voice almost like some sort of eerie, bubbly, sea song under water. She was also glad that she wasn't the only one who thought it unwise to explore such an unknown thing alone.
"Thank you for going with me, Jetta," she said. "It's nice to have a friend to explore with. I hope there's treasure!" She grinned and swished her tail and kicked her finned legs with excitement and anticipation.

Jetta looked back at female with a glint to her eyes, "I've always been curious about it...but its just creepy to go alone you know?" she admitted as her lower body weaved her way through. Her voice was clear, odd as her voice above land seemed to be the distorted one. Soon the two female came upon the old ship, Jetta slowing to a stop. "There it is...not as creepy as it can be. I wonder what sailed it tho..." she mused.

Lyric swam along with Jetta, waving her tail fin through the water and kicking with all four legs. "Oh, I know exactly what you mean. I wouldn't want to go by myself."
They paused once they got to the ship, and Lyric tread in the water admiring the ship. "I wonder if they were pirates," she wondered in response to Jetta's musings about who sailed it. "Or merchants perhaps. Let's go see!" And she dashed forward for a break in the ships side, wiggling inside, and waiting for Jetta.
"It's a bit dark..." she remarked.

Jetta let out a surprised whinny before darting after the other mare. Who knew what sort of dangers lurked outside in the waters. Or inside this ship for that matter. But...she let out a soft disappointed sigh. "It is but that's alright. I'm sure we'll find someway to light this place up...who knows maybe there's glowing seaweed down here!" She slowly drifted towards a corner, seeing a trunk in the dim light. "Oh...Lyric. I think this is a treasure box!"
