Sh'en had been feeling sort of odd the past few weeks... not bad odd, but odd. It had started as a bit of moodiness, and then a slowly – but steadily – encroaching distraction and now... he felt very warm.
Kalteth had been odd too. She'd been moody – properly moody, not just energetic – and she'd been pacing. A lot. She had no idea why, and if he pressed she got snappish, and then regretted it.
So he hadn't pressed, and the 16 year old went about his business of drills, snooping, and errands.
Except for today, when the odd feeling seemed to swell within him like a wave, or a mountain of fluttering insects or... shards, Sh'en didn't know. He'd felt similar to this before, but never this feeling...
He was on his way to where he was to meet his friend R'an for another sketching session. Kalteth paced next to him, more restless than usual. Suddenly, mid walk, she stopped and shook herself off as if just from a bath.
She said abruptly and scampered off to the herds to devour a beast.
Well, he thought, puzzled, Another odd thing to another odd day.
She devoured the beast with unusual gusto and, as she swallowed her meat, he feeling began to take shape into something more... definite. Sh'en, not far from the meeting place, could feel when his dragon's eyes went a deep purple, and her fluted call resonated in his gut and mind.
How could he have missed it? He'd been taught the signs of a proddy dragon, so how had he not seen that her hide had glowed it's jade green? He swallowed, unaccustomedly awkward, as she took wing.
she called, to any dragon, male or female, who bothered with greens, let alone virgin greens like herself,

Kesshleth had never been invited to a greenflight before in her life. She had often wanted to, but and her rider didn't mind personally, but she was sure that they would make such a fuss if she did. After all, if she flew the great golden queens or the brilliant crimsons when they Rose, everybody would make a fuss. And what would the breeders want with her, a mere green?
No, she dared not fly them, though she looked on in envy at the brilliant trail of males that competed for their flight.
But perhaps... With a young dragon and a green besides... who would care?
purred Kessleth, taking to the skies,

R'an was sharpening his charcoal for his sketching session. Him and Sh'en had been growing closer and closer as friends and he was happy to have someone who didn't mind his obession with drawing nearly all the time. Infact, Sh'en seemed to enjoy being the spark of inspiration for R'an.
The 18 year-old was just putting his tools away when he heard Syriacuth, who had been sleeping suddenly rise and shake himself awake. R'an figured that the blue dragon was just getting ready to go and meet Sh'en since the big flirt loved to be around Kalteth.
Except, Syriacuth didn't even say a word to him before he left, launching himself into the sky and called out back to Kalteth, "I'll fly with you any day!' As he rose into the air to meet the green. His eyes did see the other green, but most of his attention was on Kalteth.
R'an was confused so he hurried along to meet Sh'en trying to figure out what happened. He didn't exactly understand what he was feeling at the moment, were these his feelings or Syria's?
"Sh'en!" he called out when he saw the greenrider. "What's going on?"

Dizzy_Kat If you're still interested... Sh'en was happy to find someone who was obsessed with drawing him. It was an amazing boost to his ego, and he had so much fun with the poses. Right now, though, that was at the back of his mind. He was so preoccupied by the strangely uncontrollable feelings – his or Kalteth's, he didn't know – that he nearly ran into R'an. He laughed nervously. “Well.” he said, blushing, “She's... well, I think she just Rose. To mate.” He pointed up towards the sky, where the pale green dragon enjoyed the rush of air and emotions, joined by a green and a familiar blue. “That seems to be the only... explanation.” Shards... he was never this awkward... or, he thought, bashful. And yet, he was blushing and smiling and clasping his hands... what the shaff?! “She has great timing, d-doesn't she...” Sh'en said, chuckling. He was feeling warm, and ever warmer as he looked at R'an. Kalteth streaked through the air, delighting in everything, literally everything. She felt amazing, and she knew she looked amazing: her hide gleamed a gorgeous pale mottled green, the depth of color so intense as to be glowing. She felt like she was glowing, and every wingbeat was effortless. She let out a wild, joyful cry, and looked back to see herself joined by a green and a blue. she called to him, and she was. But... she crooned, dissappointed at her following, she murred. Or so she assumed. This was her first time in flight like this, her first time feeling so... alive. she flapped her wings and powered fiercely ahead, her eyes glittering a rich purple specked with red and blue. Latecomers would be latecomers!

(I didn't get the first quote or see the thread. Sorry o_o Cal can be late. I'll edit in rp a bit later only have a moment now. )
Honestly. Did the big bronze ever miss a flight?! Well. Yes. Occasionally. When duty or distance got in the way. Really though, his timing was only off by the minute or so it took Z'fer to strip his flying straps from the bronze's neck before the great beast was up in the air, bugling a cheerful greeting to the young green, her blue suitor and... a guest? Cal gave an awkward grunt of confusion when he saw the other green rise after the first. Well, two were better than one? Maybe? He supposed?
Room for one more? He called with just a hint of conceit in his tone.

Kesshleth gave the Bronze a hot-eyed glare before trying to power her way towards Kalteth. Since the green seemed willing to let her fly with her, maybe Kessh had a chance with her after all. Now, all that remained was convincing her. she crooned, (18, 8, 5)

Syriacuth couldn't be blamed at the moment for his rather vicious growl as he saw the bronze rise. He was bigger and had more stamina, but Kalteth was Syria's target and his friend and everyone knew exactly how he felt around those he didn't know or didn't like.
So He flew fast, trying to bypass the green. Sure he respected all females, but it was Kalteth's time and he would be damned if he wasn't going to be the winner!
'There is three now and three is enough.... please pick me Kalteth, don't we always fly together?' Which was true... when they werent in their wing formations, Syriacuth and Kalteth often shared the sky.
Meanwhile R'an laughed nervously as well. "Great timing indeed." He muttered, he noticed the difference between how Sh'en normally looked and how he was looking at R'an now. It was...almost like he had a fever? "It might be best if you get out of here... You look alittle...flushed." He said though, he was starting to blush too, feeling as if adrenaline was pulsing through him from Syria's flight.

((Oh my gosh im sorry T.T This thread is weird about quotes. Lets see if it works...)) Kalteth purred, flapping her wings to fly in an elegant loop-de-loop. She ogled her suitors at the apex of her loop, And they were all so lovely. She crooned, clearly enjoying herself in the air with her long, lovely wings. she crooned to Syriacuth, looking at him upside down as his efforts brought him closer to her, “Y-yes. Perhaps somewhere... private.” said Sh'en, watching as the big bronze joined them. He could believe that he was flushed and he felt so... Elated, gleeful, wonderful, amazing. He touched Ra'an's face, stroking down his cheek. “You look flushed yourself...” he said, a little awkwardly.

Kesh watched the green flirt around them, especially with the blue dragon, with definite misgiving. she purred,
She growled as the blue passed her, but she was built for agility, not speed, and this new-flying green required both...

It was obvious the green had a favorable relationship with the little blue chasing her but that didn't deter Calanoth any. She had welcomed him cheerfully into her flight and he might as well give the little guy some competition. Make him feel like he earned his little girl's heart. Or give her an option if she decided he wasn't enough for her.
As for the other green chasing. Calanoth still didn't know what to make of her or her attempts to woo Kalteth. It was certainly something he didn't remember seeing before, but he was a dragon and that wasn't exactly a rare occurrence.

Syriacuth let loose and loud growl to the other green trying to outfly him. This was his race! Kalteth was his to choose! He did a barrel roll underneath Kalteth to impress her and flew up closer, keeping an eye out for others. Though this flight wouldn't produce any eggs, it was still important to him. It was their first, his sisters and his. And they should spend it together!
R'an eyebrows raised, though he was no stranger to public affection with Sh'en, this was different than hugs or just touching. "Yea... I think I'm feeling it too." He took hold of Sh'en's hand and tugged him softly. "Come on, let's go to my room, we can't wait this out. If Syria doesn't win then you can kinda hide in my room till it's over."

Kalteth sent a mental giggle to the other green. she let out a high pitched bugle as Syriacuth did his little trick. she said, backwinging slightly and doing a complex maneuver in the air, she did a little telepathic dragonic giggle again – clearly she was feeling her Rising emotions more now – it was less a race and more like a true flight as she flirted with the males – and female – that flew her. she squealed happily in her bonded's head as, with powerful strokes of her long wings, she came out of the dancelike maneuver and ascended into the clear sky. She would have to choose the winner of her race soon – though she wasn't terrible at airborne endurance, she was no gold... but in the meantime, she would play with her suitors and show them the best race ever. replied Sh'en, “Mm... I think that's a very good idea...” he said to R'an. He had a feeling that he would be doing more than hiding, though. He wrapped his fingers around R'an's hand, “a very good idea.”

Kessheth had always felt herself to be just as good as the big bronzes and browns. She'd always tried her hardest to be a ranking dragon, and her rider as well. But they were barred from her true aim – wingsecond – by the people in charge... and yet she had not joined the wherholds. Her rider, her bonded, was too loyal to Trine. she sent the image of curling around the green, of showing her things beyond her wildest dreams... beyond what these boys could do. she said, ascending along with the green...
