Welcome.
This is a lovely tutorial on how to Brawl!
_______________________________________________________
First of all, you might ask: 'what is brawling' or maybe you have an idea what it is, which ever the case this guide is to help.
In short, Brawling is a in thread dice game. One that the 'dice option' on the 'reply' thread is used.
xx◘ This game is solely ran on a 'd4' dice. *as a player progresses in victory and rp, the Balam will gain 'skill' points that will help them gain the edge in battle. (More on that will come later.) (For info on Skill Bonuses Click [HERE].)
xx◘ This dice game method can be play in a number of ways. One way is to just roll the dice and determined a winner, ( No awards will be given to this method of play.) Another way, is to type a Role-play, or rather and 'action' response for your character that's actions are dictated by the course of the die. (Creativity will be awarded, as well as words to add to the Balam's Brawler 's world count.) This method is preferred if one wants to progress though the brawling ranks.
Well let me describe it for you and then I'll go into detail with a step by step example.
xx→ The system is meant to be simple, and small numbers make that possible. Also the key rule of B'alam brawler has a big role here: No armor, weapons, flying or magic of any kind. This is a arena that is to be determined by skill, technique, and yes, strength.
xx→ The dice is a variable of chance, but so is every brawl; where there is a victor, there will always be a defeated. I have put a 'skill' point base to help combat the random and sometimes unfair chance the die has for those that are seasoned brawlers.
xx→ The brawling system is based off a Attack turn base 'scoring' system. Each player had a set number of 'Hit-Points'.
_____________Further Explanation_____________
►Hit Points ||
Determines the amount of successful attacks a B'alam can take. When another Balam's Hit-Points, reach '0' the Brawl is over.
►How is a successful attack made:
A successful attack is made when the defending B'alam fail's their defense roll. When a B'alam's defense roll is failed, the defending Balam losses a 'hit-point'
►How the turn base and scoring is determined.
→ Scoring can -only- be made from a 'attacking' B'alam, and only after a defending B'alam fails it's defense roll.
→ If the Attacking B'alam, successfully attacks, not only does the defending Balam losses a 'Hit-point', but gets to attack once more. If the attacking Balam fails in its attack, no Hit-Points are lost and it is now the defending Balam's turn to attack. This process is repeated till, one Balam's Hit-Points reaches '0'.
→ The attacker always gets the first post in a round.
► A round:
Is the time between one post between each player. Two post equals a round.
► What is a CLASH:
When the attacker and defender's total roll matches, this event causes a 'CLASH'. This is a stalemate and no Hit-Points are lost. Instead each player instead rolls d4 dice (plus skill points) to see who will be attacking in the next round. The player with the highest total roll, will get to attack the next round. Rember no Hit-Points are lost in a CLASH.
► Starting a Brawl:
First needs to be determined between the Brawler's is who will get to 'attack' first. This can be determined in thread by a die roll, or by agreement of who starts the thread. The matter is left up to the Brawler's.
► Brawl form layout:
In a Brawl, the Attacker and Defender must be clearly displayed as well as Hit-Points must be visible as well as any skill bonuses the Brawler might have. Both, will need to be kept track of.
xxxxx••• You may use this handy code.:
HitPoints: 10/10
(Also add any Skill Points if needed.)
(Also add any Skill Points if needed.)
Alright, now on to the practical Explanation:
In this Explanation, I will have 'B'alam 1' be the first to attack and 'B'alam 2' will be defending.
