The two shinobis finds themselves at the edge of their village. Guards are stationed nearby, both visible and out of sight. The ones that they can see greet them with a nod, to then turn their heads to continue their watch over the area. Atleast the area that could be seen through the dense mist. A small dirt road leads into the mist, with thick growing trees at both sides of it. This was the end of their village and the beginning of looking, behind once own shoulder.

For once, Batsu was a bit late. He was in the process of teaching a couple of students in the academy when he was summoned to the mission. It took a bit to get the students organized. But after he did he rushed over as soon as possible. As the male made his way down the trail he noticed something a bit off about a tree. The medic caught a glimpse of Masaraku's armor in the midst of the tree's leaves and he couldn't help but smirk. His team mate tried to pull a fast one on him but she failed. After all, Batsu WAS always the one that could pick up on such things... even back when he was in the academy.

Batsu continued to walk on the trail up; until the point to where he was close to the tree. The boy then stretched out his arm and shot his index finger towards Masaraku's hiding spot. He said nothing, but signified that he knew where the Hoshigaki was.

Masaraku Hoshigaki
masaraku picked up her bag and said, "Good to see you still have good eyes. Its unlike you to be late though." She debated poking fun at his and Shinzu's bromance, but instead opted to stay professional. She slung the backpack over her shoulder and said, "You read the mission yet? I don't think it sounds to hard, but you know how these things go. I figure we head to the village and gather intel on who she is and how gentle we need to handle her, because I really don't want to p***y foot around with her if we've got heat coming down on us. We're shinobi, not baby sitters after all." She started down the road, hoping to get this done and over so that she could finish her jutsu training. "I might get some training in on the way. Been working on a new technique."

((I guess this is your awareness roll? Lucky. MH: Masaraku can hear, in the distance, the sound of a water clashing down against rocks and the land that binds it. The water is flowing at the same direction that you are headed and it's speed is one that you would not want to swim in upstream))

Batsu chuckled a bit as he pressed on after hearing Masaraku quote her clan's policy. The boy looked around the area scanning the foliage for anything strange. "Well, it's a good thing I'm not a Hoshigaki. The elders would have disposed of me a long time ago. But I have to give you and the other Hoshigaki credit. You are all very much powerful in your own right and aren't satisfied with it. You all keep striving to be even stronger. I admire that about them, even though..." Batsu sighed an looked off as he frowned a bit, "... even though I hated you all during the academy and beyond up until a point." It wasn't exactly an admission he wanted to say but it just came out. At one time, he hated every Hoshigaki... seen or unseen. Not exactly the medic's proudest moment, but it was the truth.

Masaraku Hoshigaki
Masa shrugged, "We're an acquired taste." She internally laughed at the fish humor. "Hold up a minute, how are we approaching this." She began to smell the air to see if she could pick up the scent of blood while looking and listening for anything that might sound out of the ordinary.
