We have a lovely Tribal Shark here and we would like to hear his story, which story you ask? well just read the prompt below!

Prompt 1: "You are swimming about when you hear someone on the shore cry out, 'Ahhh, a shark!' It seems a beachgoer has noticed your distinctive fin, and it's causing quite a commotion among those in the water. How do you react- do you try to convince them that you're not a threat? Do you continue to agitate them, just for fun? Or are you really the scary, flesh-eating beast they fear you to be?"

Responses must be over 2 paragraphs please.

Azrein Name (and meaning if you have one): Njord Fjord [ From the Old Norse Njörðr, which was possibly derived from the Indo-European root *ner meaning "strong, vigourous". Njord was the Norse god of sailing and fertility ; a long, narrow, deep inlet of the sea between high cliffs, as in Norway and Iceland, typically formed by submergence of a glaciated valley. ]
Azrein Temperament: vigorous
Future Plots:
x eventually have the courage to venture down his home, in attempts to find his parents / possible siblings
x help someone who is lost around the mountain
x become comfortable speaking to one azrein, still shy around the rest
x explore the isle [ which is where the 'sailing' comes into play ]
x settle down somewhere, starting a family [ lifemate > fertility ]
x return back to his mountain range when old [ retirement / equivirhood > fjord ]
How many azrein do you have?: nineteen
How many have been rped with?: sixteen

Prompt: You are walking in northern glacial waters, there are not other azrein around, how do you feel about being so isolated out here with no one around? Do you plan to spend the winter up here?
Or do you have plans to move south to find more azrein like you? For that matter give us an idea of what you are like?
Prompt Reply:
Njord stood, watching as the sun's rays touched the waters and the land at the same time. It was beautiful, the sight of it all, as if the world had finally grown silent. Son of the stallion from Ke'lar Desert, and the mare from Enrias Mountain, the stranger chose to live somewhere of less population - Unthal Mountain. Just travelling to the range felt like yesterday, when in reality, he was still just a colt when the day came to choose where to live. He did not know his parents, which made the transition more useful to him. Now that he was three years old, the stallion lived near the northern glacial waters, which soothed his shell inspired hooves. It let him reach his mother in a way, and the sandy coloration of his coat reminded him of his father.
There was no sign of life up here, other than himself, so he was adjusted to being alone. As calming as it was, he did miss hearing the sounds of others. Winter was arriving, and the waters would once again freeze into ice, something that he could not enter without possibly breaking. Everyday the stallion would reach the summit of the mountains, to look down on the world below, wondering if there was more for him. What if he was meant to just live up here?

That could not be what his parents wanted of him, but there was nothing that could be done. He did not know how to socialize with others after all these years of isolation.

Azrein Name (and meaning if you have one): Nieve Oceanus; Nieve is Spanish for snow and Oceanus is the Titan son of Uranus and Gaea
Azrein Temperament: Isolated
Future Plots:
Parental Vists Part 1 and 2: These two could be done as self role plays or with actual parents of this stallion, if permitted. But the intent here is that he would in his adult stage find the courage to visit the lands of his parents, even for a short time because the extreme temperatures and landscapes would be difficult for him to adapt to quickly. There he can learn about his parents and see them with his adult eyes. It is meant to be touching and a deep meaningful life experience for Nieve.

The Lone Star: In this role play it would be great for another Azrein, or several in a span of individual role plays to take him out of that lonely, isolated existence and to truly give him a chance at socializing. Nieve has found contentment in being isolated and to put him into interactions with different personalities could prove to be uncomfortable, nerve-wracking and hilarious.

Guardian of the In-Between: Perhaps an Azrein has come through this area where he lives especially during a very foggy time and see Nieve. But they aren’t sure whether he is real or a figment of imagination because of the fog. So said Azrein could have left in a scream to the rumors that there is a guardian who was mystical and looked like he was the product of the ice and sand mating that lived there. It can in turn become tales and evolved rumors about him that the Azrein who started it could go back to find out the truth of what he or she saw on that foggy day and thusly have another interaction there.

Frozen (Not the Disney movie but the song from Madonna)Since Nieve is by himself it can be assumed that he has grown cold and emotionless to all that are outside of his home when he is in fact capable of such deep and everlasting love that it would take someone who enjoys the climate but would teach him to be even more embracing of it. To make a point that it does not matter if you were around a herd or alone that love is more than a substitute. It is the sole company that has kept him alive and the hope in him that he will have his own better half. That it is love that kept him here in between to keep both parents and not one. Sure he would have interactions with other Azrein, hopefully, but this plot revolves more in the romantic area and not that of friendships that could and would be long distant. I want to push Nieve into seeing the darker side of his heart and to be brought into the light by a strong willed female or male that would open this paradox open and melt his heart with love.

Don’t…leave me. In this plot Nieve would be living with his unofficial mate. After the Frozen plot they have, meaning Nieve and whoever takes on the challenge of that plot, settled into a comfortable routine but Nieve’s partner decides to leave. Perhaps, taking elements from Frozen, decides that this isn’t the right time to be fully committed into this relationship. The drama could be that while it is great to have this overflowing rush of love from Nieve, the partner could yearn to return to the warmer climates and make a decision, after being proposed lifemating by Nieve, in a place where he or she will not be distracted or influenced to make such a life changing decision. Elements of heart break, saying good bye and a fracture relationship is to be explored here that can alter Nieve. This can also be a separation that lasts for a length of time that has that deep altering impact on Nieve.

Take a chance on me The partner that has left Nieve for a length of time to think about whether to stay with Nieve as his lifemate returns but finds that Nieve has become cold towards him/her and it was in that time that they realized that he/she loved him and wanted to be that warm beacon of light forever and always. But will Nieve take the chance on this partner?
Or on the other hand perhaps another Azrein enters the picture and this time wants the chance to really show Nieve true love the likes of which his ex-partner couldn’t take to the next level. But will he take a chance with this new partner with the unknown way things were left between him and his first lover?

How many azrein do you have?: 22 with the recent inclusion of a blanket
How many have been rped with?: 9 ½, it’s a matter of finding them including Shop events and one started that never took off which is why the one half is there.

Prompt: Your parents dropped you off as a young foal on the borderline of a frozen ocean and a searingly hot desert, Being a creature designed for somewhere in between your parents homelands (hence your appearance) which direction do you choose to wander, which parent do you wish to go to? The frozen ocean mother, or the fiery father from the sea of sand? Why do you choose who you choose? Or do you choose to Make your own path somewhere in between? Why?
Prompt Reply:
’Here our son. Stay here where we may both watch you grow.’, came the reply of a warm voice, feminine with the scent of fresh snow on the first day of winter flowing over the blanketed bundle that rested on a dry patch of frozen sand. ’When you are ready to walk as a stallion, you will choose your place but pick wisely my son for only down that path will you make your destiny.’, replied the strong, powerful masculine voice with the scent of the sun, the sand and a hint of salty ocean water that was his father. The sensation of their muzzles giving him gentle parental kisses on his covered head and made sure that the blanket was wrapped around the bundle safely until he would be ready to shed it and see the world.

During the early stages of this stallion’s life his parents both stayed closed by to nurture him as parents would. His mother was kind to him but there was a silent strength about her that came with being an Azrein of the frozen lands or that of nature’s ice whereas his father was a passionate and fiery like the sun and ever moving like the sand grains that were carried by the wind from place to place. As a bundled foal he knew his parents love. Felt it and held it close to his foal-like mind as treasured memories until one night came the time for him to shed his blanket. It was also the same moment where his parents had to part ways to their respective homes making this dream family disappear to allow reality to set in.

The night was very cool and the sand was still warm from the bright sun earlier in the day. The parents ushered their son to a spot where it was neither frozen as the far north of this shoreline where all three were and neither far south where the wild sun made the desert hot. No it was the perfect medium for their son to live in that to them would be the best of both worlds, the best of both parents. They stood close to their offspring to take in the full moon night of the first winter months where it would gradually decrease in temperature even with the sun still showing its bright face during the day. For now, the full moon was the night’s world sun and was incredibly large here at the edge of the shoreline with twinkling stars peeking at them boldly and teasingly.

’It is time for us to part, my son. But know that we will always love you.’ His mother said first, nickering gently with the rubbing of her head against her son’s blanketed neck. ’You will not understand now but know that our paths call us to return to our home. But we will watch over you when you least expect it. Be good always, my son.’ , rumbled his father’s words the love was in his tone even though the strong male didn’t give into the displays of affection. Then again that was quite difficult when this one his only son. The father nuzzled his little son wishing that he could take him away to the desert lands but knew that because of the ice blood that ran through his veins with the fiery blood of his it wouldn’t be healthy for this foal. ’We will leave you with three things little one. First the choice to pick where you wish to take your destiny. You will find me to the north where the ice caps stand strong and where the ice bridge connects to this land through a small ice mountain passage. That was the home of his mothers but then his father spoke deeply with great pride in his tone. ’Or to the far south where the sand dunes dance under the sun and the spirits of my herd run freely as master’s of the fiery desert. You but have to pass the sand valleys to reach a tropical oasis of the riches colors of earth that thrive there. Whatever your choice you will find either of us welcoming you.’

These were many things to consider but his impressionable mind took everything his parents to mind and to heart to remember them. ’Second, we have decided on a name for you. Nieve Oceanus is what you are called and what you will give to others when you encounter them.’ The parents reasoned that since he was born on the day that was ending the summer heat and starting the winter cold Nieve would represent the cold while Oceanus would represent the heat for one came to the beach during the hot days to relax. Lastly….we give you our undying and eternal love.’ Yes that he did understand and when Nieve tore his hypnotized gaze from the moon, from this single moment of their company he looked to see that both mother and father left their separate ways. The tips of their manes and tails could be seen with the dust of the frozen sand beyond them clouding their galloping forms with the night swallowing them forevermore.

’Mama…Papa…..I love you….’ He whispered softly and dropped his head at the loss of their physical presence and from that moment kept his own company. Yes he was allow alone save for the animals that were native to his now claimed territory but not once had he encountered another Azrein from a strange place or those native to the frozen lands and the desert sands. No, Nieve was alone as he grew up into his adolescence where he learned to adapt to the climate of the between. Of the ice and fire of this place where he would swim in the surf often finding pieces of broken ice to climb on top of and stand feeling a tiny piece of himself closer to the faded memory of his mother. Or he would gallop hard and work his muscles into fine sculptures through the thick sands and stand on the highest sand dune, pretending to be like his wild and fiery father.

Of course those weren’t the same things has being with them until…that realization hit him like a pile of rocks. Nieve could go be with them. Yes he could be with his mother or his father. That was exactly what Nieve set out to do. First the young stallion remembered the described way to the frozen ice caps of the north. There was indeed a side mountain that made of ice and rocks, sturdy but incredibly cold….a temperature he rather liked. Walking through the inner passageways that sparkled with its own inner light and colorful from the crystalline minerals there was a single opening that took him to the beginning of a solid ice bridge. Yet Nieve didn’t take a step onto it. If he went with his mother…he would never see his father. Frowning deeply Nieve stood there for the rest of the day and a single night until the decision was made to turn back around to the ‘In Between’ as he fondly called it from his fantasy games during his foalhood.

Just the same, Nieve galloped his growing large and powerful body through the sand dunes and valley that his father spoke off with the grueling sun beating down on his body. The heat felt good but up to a point. Yet stopping he stood there on top of a sand dune that when you looked far ahead you could see the beginning green that stood out from the gold, tan and white colors of the sand around him. There were trees and shock of color coming from the oasis that his father described but the young Nieve did not go further. If he went with his father, then he would never see his mother again. Again Nieve stood there for one day and a single night until he turned back to go to his territory where he made his home.

Pacing day and night, he debated with himself until he stood there and a smile came to him. While he was alone physically he was in the right place. Yes Nieve could pick his mother or his father but instead he picked to stay where he was. Nieve could have a little bit of both parents without leaving out one of them. The stallion grew fully with that decision of staying where he was so that hopefully his parents would feel inclined to see how big Nieve has gotten. But also….this place became his home. It would feel odd to leave this comfortable place that was the perfect balance of cold and hot, cool and warm, frozen and fiery. Nieve was content to live here as they served reminders of his parents….and served as the place where he can come back to if he chose to leave in search of other Azrein.

Izotz had no problem with the isolation around him. The glacial waters lapping against the frozen ground was a familiar, soothing sound to him, and it was easier to appreciate it without others around him. This was about as far as he would go north, however; he had no problem with the cold, but he had no desire to meet the mother who abandoned him. Nor did he plan to head into the searing desert, the land of his father. His parents had left him on his own, in a place where no other intelligent lifeform dwelled. Fine with him. He didn't need them to survive in this world. He was probably better off without them trying to mold him into a miniature version of them.

Maybe he would go a little farther south. Not enough to meet others, though; he had no interest in interacting with anyone. His company was the ground beneath his feet and food he ate. If he happened to see another Azrein, he'd continue on his way. The most he'd give would be a glance and perhaps a nod of greeting if he felt like it. Unless it was a foal. A lone foal would likely draw his interest, if only out of curiosity as to why the foal was without a parent.

Izotz glanced at the water, debating a swim. It wasn't too cold--for him at least. Then again, extreme temperatures had never bothered him. It was that room temperature weather that he hated. He didn't know why; he just didn't like it. Searing heat and frigid cold were his preferred climates. He would stay in this place the others rejected. He didn't need others to survive; he was better off without them. And, he thought grudgingly as he sank into the icy water, they're probably better without me.

Nautikar felt a deep emptiness echo through his soul, sure his parents lived up here but they were both naturaly loners and having only a single son did not help his condition at all. He felt that there was a hole that could only be filled by many azrein, idle chat and friendships, not by the equally lonely shores of his birth place and the rocks and sea crabs who dwelt there. He loved the serene beauty of the area of her but it echoed with danger too. There was no one to get you out of a sticky situation this far north. Many could not stand the cold of any of the seasons besides summer. He sighed, his great sides heaving. This, his origin, was not what he wanted. He would say good bye to each of his parents in turn and travel south to the proverbial greener pastures, which in a land like this did not take a lot. He wondered what heady bright sun would feel like without the grey shroud of steely clouds which cloaked the sky here.
Maybe there he would find more sociable azrein. He wondered what they would think of the quiet northern stallion who had a great appreciation for even the smallest hints of beauty in any landscape. He who took so long to get riled like his frozen mother but when challenged properly flew into a vast berserker rage, of which he never had any memory of. He had to get the story second hand, if there were any left able to talk of it. He loved to see rainbows and the storms roll in off the ocean. He wondered if there was someone out there who could match him in heart soul and mind. Someone who could be the desert to his ocean as his somewhat reclusive parents had found in each other. Perhaps he would care to see this match more then once a year as his parents had agreed with each other. They were odd azrein and he couldn’t understand that need to be alone at all times.
His heart echoing his hoof beats Nautilus strode though the cool waters until he hit the ice flows that signaled the start of his mothers barren ice lands, her kingdom on the sea, he wasn’t concerned she had taught him to swim where his father refused to get his fiery feet wet. He would start with his mother and meet her anticipated cool acceptance before facing the fiery heat of one of his father’s long winded rants, which may or may not be on one of the topics that Nautilus brought up. He would miss them both, his Dad fiercely and his mother less so while wishing she had a little more emotion for him. Perhaps today he would finally get the hug he had always wanted from her.

Prompt: Prompt 2: You are walking in northern glacial waters, there are not other azrein around, how do you feel about being so isolated out here with no one around? Do you plan to spend the winter up here?
Or do you have plans to move south to find more azrein like you? For that matter give us an idea of what you are like?
Prompt Reply: Bakar walked along the icy shores of the place he called his home. The stallion was musing on the silence in the air. It was refreshing, but...sometimes it got boring to just talk with yourself. He used this time to reflect and ponder what would be. He looked at himself for the most part, his faults. Not being able to speak up when spoken to most of the time, unable to look anyone else in the eye if they ever did talk to him as well as having this off fear of ever truly going out into the icy waters. The stallion wasn't really too fond of warm weather, but then again he never truly felt it before so he was open to new experiences. He kicked at glittering sand musing over what else he didn't like.

Not being able to speak up when spoken to. That was a big one with him. He never seemed to form the right words when others tried to speak to him. Well...others being his parents when they dropped him off in the icy glade he knew as both safety and home. The stallion looked up as he took a few steps forward. One day, one day he would be able to talk to others. That he was certain.

Now about his inability to look others in the eye. That was clear with his Father more than his Mother, he always felt as if he was under some sort of....trial. It was unnerving. The stallion wondered if all males were like that. If they were he'd be unable to carry a decent conversation with anyone at the rate he was going. The stallion looked at his features in the nearby water, he was....unique. The stallion heard his Mother use the word once or twice, his Father as well. Not to say that his Father disliked him, oh he knew he was loved by both parents. That was something they told and showed him in little ways every time he saw them.

His fear. He looked out over the icy water. Though he embodied an aspect of that majesty...it frightened him. The coldness bit into his soul more than the loneliness did. The stallion looked away from the icy waters to the glittering sand. He'd much rather stay in the white sands...it was safer here where he knew what to expect. Out there, he slowly turned his head to look out. Out there was nothing more than the unknown. That was a terrifying idea...wandering out into the waters. During the really deep winter months when the waters were frozen over in some spots. He would test his mettle and take steps to go across, but he would never make it more than five before turning tail.

As usual, he would spend all year long in the icy shoreline. It was familiar, it was safe, it was home. He wouldn't think on the loneliness, he wouldn't think about the lack of warmth, he wouldn't....he wouldn't....the stallion stamped a hoof. He looked up at the fading Sun. He would leave here. He would leave the loneliness, he would leave the cold, he would leave the fear. It was time to see the world beyond his icy shores. It was time to find a place filled with new memories. New dreams.
