Eyphah's maw pulled back into a bit of a grin, giving a bit of a laugh at what the other Khehora was saying, "I do find them to be a lot of fun to hunt down and take apart piece by piece in droves." He agreed with her, glad to hear that aside from one bad go against the Mara that she'd been enjoying her time smashing the annoying things. It was rather enjoyable to him and he wanted to share in that enjoyable with others. Really, Tallulah should try his hand at fighting them instead of spending so much time with the little whelp. Eyphah himself enjoyed it to the point that he almost found it to be a shame that he would need to hand over the mountain of heads that he had collected to this point. He'd much rather keep them as trophies and a fun reminder of all the battles he'd had against them but it might be a waste of space since he meant to take out that many more of them in the days to come.
Lifting one of his forefeet up Eyphah looked it over for a moment before giving a bit of a laugh, "Well, I tend to stick to tearing them apart in a more face to face manner myself, that or by taking hold of one of them before beating it against another one of them until both break into pieces. It's really the only way to deal with the Diamond Mara I've realized after other attempts at finding those sparkling idiots." Those were his favored methods of fighting because unlike... well, most everyone else around him, he didn't have magic. There were times, a lot of times, where he actually thought about trying his hand at it. The idea of seeing if he couldn't figure out a spell or two was an interesting one but then something would distract him. He'd find a new thing to fight, something fun or tasty to hunt down, or he'd find someone new that he wanted to chat up. After that... well, the idea of learning magic tended to get forgotten completely as he jump headlong into other things instead. Now, with the Mara skulking about and threatening his clan, it was another bad time to try to learn something that would likely take up way too much of his time then he felt he could spend on attempting to figure something out. Brute force would have to work for now and he could save the magic learning for later, when things were safer.
Giving a smile he suggested, "If you find yourself in a jam with the Mara just do what I do, either drag them into the air and drop them or just use them against each other." He suggested, smiling a bit more before he gave jolt, whirling around as though expecting to see a Mara in the lair when Grrel mentioned a 'thing' being in the lair. Instead of something dangerous he found himself starring at Tallulah's little whelp and he gave a sighing sound, "Ahhh, the little whelp. It seems that he got chased away from his family by a Mara, then got hurt and lost. You needn't worry about him stealing eggs, there aren't any at the moment... that and my mother would have his hide for it." He gave a shiver as though the idea of pissing off his giant Gaili mother was a terrifying one even to him, "This isn't even our preferred territory. These caves are were we fall back to when..." He trailed off, his glowing eyes getting a bit wide, and he set to sniffing at the air.
"Wait... do you all smell that?" He asked of the others around him, giving a rumbling growl between his many sharp teeth as he started forward toward the cave entrance, forgetting about the whelp and Grrel's obvious distaste toward him. Something was... wrong. He could smell it, smell them, and as he looked out the door he gave a snarling sound of anger, "What in the name of... those Mara bastards! How dare they come here!" The fact that those things were stupid enough to come here, near to his family! He spat out the words, "I'll kill them all!" Before he went charging forward toward the rather sizable group of Rock Mara that was approaching them.

Tallulah actually looked... confused when she demanded if he knew what those like Nehelin did to eggs. He seemed to think on it, looked down at the little one he was holding onto, back to Grrel... then shook his head, "I... sorry, no... Nehelin and his family were the first two-legs that I have ever met." He admitted, since coming out of the ocean he had only dealt with Eyphah, his clan, and a few other Khehora. The only other time before he dealt with two-legs before meeting the little one in his arms was when he'd slipped into one of their camps to steal a Ayrala Orb that they had just left laying on the ground. He'd needed it for his ritual and it didn't seem that important to them. Other then that and what he'd learned about them from chatting with Nehelini he was a little out of the loop.
His tail swishing behind him the Merkorian apologized again, "I do apologize, Grrel, there is much I still don't know since I spent most of my life in the ocean." He told her, hugging the little whelp to his chest, not wanting to risk her maybe eating Nehelini since it didn't quite seem as though she liked him. She'd even called him 'that thing' strongly implying that she had zero interest in making friends with him. As such maybe it was best that he kept hold of him? To make sure that no harm came to him? That was the plan at least before Eyphah was suddenly snarling and stalking forward toward the entrance of the cave. It was something that shocked him a bit, "E-Eyphah?" He questioned him, taking a few steps after him. It was as he got closer to the entrance and was able to see out across the sands that he understood what was going on. The Mara had arrived.
A soft gasp escaped from his lips before he was quickly shifting Nehelini so that he could hold him with one arm, using the other hand to call water to him from the underground spring that fed into these caves. He would need the water to fight the Mara since it seemed that the group of them was quite large, wasn't it? After a moment he looked down at Nehelini, setting him down on his own two feet, "Stick close to me. I need both of my hands if I am going to cast." He explained, finding it a bit difficult to move the water in a way that he liked when he was only using one hand. If he was going to protect the caves and everyone in them, as well as be ready in case anyone needed healing, he would need to be able to cast in the most efficient manner possible.
Glancing over at Grrel he said, "I have an idea, how about I see about soaking them down with some of the water? It would make them weaker against your magic." He suggested to the Kiandri. He knew before that when she rained down her lightning upon the creatures of the sea that it had fried them quite well, the same might apply here... he hoped. He glanced around then said, "This is my first time fighting them in a while, I hope I do alright." He was mostly talking to himself as he set to manipulating the water he'd gathered, making it into large rings that floated around him, as well as Nehelini since he was so close. He was now ready if the Mara came close, to soak them down, to entangle them, or even just whipping them with it. He'd do whatever he could to help the others in defeating the Mara and if the need arose he'd heal them as well. He just hoped that they finished them off quickly, before anyone got hurt.
Glancing down at Nehelini he said, "Don't worry, Grrel and Eyphah are amazing fighters, between the two of them and myself I am sure we will finish off the Mara quickly enough." He just hoped that the little whelp didn't get too scared by them, he was so small after all and the Mara were quite creepy looking. They would have to deal with them quickly, before they got anywhere close to this place! That way nobody inside would be at risk. This wasn't his clan per say but he cared for them, they had been nothing but kind to him since he'd met them, and he wanted to do all he could to repay them for their kindness!

Nehelini had flinched at the female's words. He disliked those meanings, but was taught to never speak out against a adult. Thought this particular adult wasn't pleasant at all. So, perhaps his Uncles words didn't matter in this case? No, no, no. He blinked as his mind recalled his two new friends. If she was their ally then who was he to make things hard for them. As if he hadn't already. He felt Tallulah hold him closer and a small spike of fear occurred. Was he in danger around this female? The child shivered once, though his eyes were brave his body was small against the Merkora's chest. He pushed forward a little to watch Eyphah go to the start of the caves. The child felt another spike of fear. What? There were those monsters all the way out here?!?
He held tight to Tallulah as the male walked to the entrance as well, he looked out at the monsters as he was set down. He heard the words and nodded as he melded against Tallulah's leg. The child looked out, thinking over what he could do. Not much...but he could toss a few rocks to at as a decoy. Which meant he'd have to run like all get out if one of those things looked at him. If he could set up a few for a quick fall that would help right?
He was in awe of the water rings which showed up around him. The child was enchanted by the magic. Tallulah would have to show him this later. It seemed like fun....he jumped as he looked back out at the monsters. A little worried now. He looked up at Tallulah, "I wanna help if I can?"
He was honest though, he really was. The child wanted to ease the burden he placed on these two.

Grrel growled and muttered to herself. Didn't matter if there was no egg here... there were eggs near here! And how did they not know of the slavery that was the bond? Did their Shaman seek to keep them from being afraid by not sharing this information? She found that a silly idea; how were they supposed to guard themselves against it if they didn’t know about the bond?
"I suggest you ask a Shaman about the Bond then Tal. Find out what sort of slavery happens when a two-legger gets a hold of an egg." She turned away and stalked behind Eyphah, not wanting to see the filthy two-legger. If it hadn't been for Tal's very obvious protective feelings for it, she'd had done a lot more.. but... Tal was a friend. She'd wait until the bugger was out of Tal and Eyphah's protection before putting the fear of Khehora into it... make sure it never tried to do anything to an egg.
She snarled down as she spotted the Mara approaching. She couldn't hurt the two-legger right now.. but these? These she could happily break and vent her frustrations on.
She even forgot to congratulate Talon his successful ritual; or show off her success. She was just too irritated.
She raced down towards the Mara, slightly behind Eyphah and preparing a bolt of lightning to launch. Ir crackled and fizzed across her scales and she channeled power into it before losing it at the Mara that floated towards them. It crackled past Eyphah, leaving a boom of thunder as it past to crash and shatter one Mara.

Eyphah's charge forward was slowed just a bit when an arch of lightning went flying passed him before it struck and destroyed one of the Rock Mara in a rather impressive show of force. He gave a bit of a grin, turning to give Grrel a glance, before turning back tot he Mara once more. It had been a most impressive kill, one that made him all that much more impressed with this female. She really was the sort that he liked to hunt with, but he couldn't let that slow him down. He wanted to make sure the Mara knew better then to come here again, knew better then to mess with his clan and his friends, he would kill all of them for getting this close he thought to himself. Well, at least he would kill as many as he could at least. Grrel seemed as though she was on the warpath as well so he might not get to kill as many as he normally would were he fighting them on his own.
As he got closer to the large group of Rock Mara he pushed himself to run that much faster, using his wings to push off the ground, landing on the shoulders of one of them, and dragged it up into the air with him. When he was out of reach of the others he took a firm hold of the Rock Mara with his forefeet and set to work tearing the thing apart with his back feet and the scythe like weapon on the end of his tail. The pieces of the Rock Mara fell down to the battlefield below, rocks bouncing off the heads of the other Mara, gathering their attention. With them off guard it would only make them that much easier to for the others to pick off. Deciding to compound their rage he set to dropping the beheaded body of their compatriot down onto the head of another of the Rock Mara, chuckling as he did so. He tossed the head into the air, catching it with his back foot, and then set to circling around the other Rock Mara now that he had their attention.
"Hey! Hey! You stupid rocks! I am going to tear the lot of you apart piece by piece, just like I did your weak little friend!" He snarled down at them then gave them a bit, toothy smile, having perhaps a bit too much fun at their expense but who cared? They were the enemy and one that he wanted to kill them all sooner then later so why should he care about taunting a few of them before killing them? Tail swishing behind him he dove down back toward the Mara once more, eager to see about taking on a few more of them, to tear them apart, and gather more heads to add to his pile.

Tallulah watched as Grrel surged forth, using her powers to take out one of the Mara in a rather violent manner before he gave a sigh, "Mmm, I think that means that she isn't in the mood for my plan." He mused to himself, deciding that be wouldn't bother her about it. It seemed that having the little whelp around had put her in a poor mood, something that worried him since they were friends. He wanted to apologize but for the time being, with the Mara about, it wasn't really the time. They had to deal with the encroaching Mara before he was able to do that. Not long after Grrel took down the first Mara Eyphah had taken down another, taking it apart piece by piece, using those pieces to aggravate the rest of the Mara in the group. He starred for a long moment, then said, "Eyphah's tactics can be a bit crude at times but it seems that they work well enough." He told Nehelini before he set to making a few motions with his hands, twisting the water around the two of them a bit more before he sent it surging forth in the shape of multiple half circles that slammed into the Mara, leaving them both drenched in water and covered with lots of slices of various depths. Water could be quite dangerous when wielded correctly and it was something that Tallulah could do quite well.
Once he'd weakened the Mara to a degree he set to work summoning forth more water to add it to his reserves, "Two down, the rest at least weakened to a degree, it shouldn't take too long to deal with them, don't worry." He said to Nehelini again, seeming as though he were wanting to reassure him. The last thing he wanted was for the boy to be scared when they were doing their best to keep him, the clan, the caves, and each other safe... well, maybe save for Grrel. She could very well be fighting to do all of the above save for looking after Nehelini since she didn't seem to like him all that much. He would really need to sit down with Eyphah or maybe his mother, to talk with them, figure out what it was that she was talking about. What was it that they two-legs did to eggs? He couldn't help but to come up with various scenarios, but felt he shouldn't judge them quite yet. Best instead to hear it from someone who knew more then him, he was still quite oblivious when it came to a lot of what happened on land.
As Nehelini suddenly set to asking him if he could help he blinked a couple times, glancing down at him, before he asked, "Ahh... well, you could..." He couldn't very well tell the boy not to fight, could he? He would need to fight if he were going to get strong and survive in the dangerous world he lived in. He would really need to be strong if anything had happened to his family as well, letting him fight now would probably be for the best even if he didn't like the idea of the little whelp getting into such a dangerous situation, "If you do wish to fight do so, but please be careful, and don't get too far away from me, alright? I want to keep a close eye on you and keep them at bay." He didn't want to see him get harmed, so if the boy headed forth out of the caves then he could probably follow along after him. Best that he didn't leave him unprotected when there were as many Mara out there as there were. Even after Grrel and Eyphah each took one of them out there were still six out there, meaning there were that many more that could retaliate against the little whelp. He would have to make sure that he was kept safe no matter what!

The child overlooked the adults. Tallulah was a force to be reckoned with as he stood there with the water surrounding his form. Eyphah was racing ahead, something the child figured he would get used to. Then the female, he heard her name was Grrel. She was pretty to, but more in the warrior sense, much like his mother from his memories was. His mother...the child blinked, why was he thinking of her now. Baruin said that remembering pain was apart of growing up...but that pain of unknowing was really something the child would rather not think too hard on. Then the female's word sunk in.
Nehelini blinked, bond...egg, getting ahold of?? That didn't sound too good to him. It sounded like she was saying that someone would take away a baby, "Why would anyone want to take a baby from their mama?" he looked up with confused eyes. He shook his head, "That doesn't sound fair at all..." the child fell silent as he thought of his own lack of a mother. That was a hole you didn't want to fall into. It was something dark and deep. He shook his head, part of him slightly determined to prove that the female was wrong to judge him. She seemed to be pretty iron clad about it.
That would have to wait however as the child looked at the monsters. Yeah, those things were mean looking and bullies. Two things the child really disliked. That along with the fact that this was Tallulah's home made up the child's mind to fight back. He blinked as the lighting left the female. Well, he made up his mind then and there to talk to her around Tallulah. Something told him she wasn't too keen on talking. Well at least face-to-face with a mere child. Though he wondered what she would do if he ever asked to talk with her. Part of him really didn't want to find out. He looked up at Tallulah again, "She likes fighting doesn't she?" he asked.
He set his jaw as he watched Eyphah's display of power and strength. Those wings looked like fun, the more childish part of his mind mused. He really wanted to see what flying would be like. Most likely scary, but he really wanted to try it anyway. Maybe he could propose the idea later. As a way for him to point out a familiar landmark. Yeah, that was a good idea. He looked back out as he started to wander along the wall. He wanted to see if he could get up high. Maybe throw a few rocks as a distraction for the adults to really let those monsters have it. The child looked up at Tallulah, "I'm going to try to get up high...I'm small enough I can hide up there and throw rocks to let you all really pound into them." He offered the idea for feedback really. Hey, at least the kid was trying!
