The StoryIn another world, there was a massive war between two twins for the throne of the world that practically almost torn the world apart before an agreement was made. The one who lost was banished, and to protect the world in the future, the ones who would be guardians were hidden away secretly by others to Earth either too young to remember or their memories wiped. Years pass... Five individuals from various backgrounds have never met each other before, but the strings of fate have ironically brought them together to the same college. One night at a candlelight vigil, they find themselves in another world… Setting and Time: Earth is Earth as we know it now. The Other World is set in a more medieval type setting. The people there don't use technology because magic exists. They still travel by horse or foot. Weapons are also not advanced compared to Earth (there are no guns and airplanes), but sometimes, magical effects can make them just as or more effective. Certain areas of the world are strongly magicked and are not accessible by normal means. It is a peaceful world, a beautiful utopia one scenic wise. However, since the war, everyone has been rebuilding, and the current regent's reign may not be helping as much as anyone hoped. Traveling Between the Worlds is impossible without magic and much preparation. This means that Earth humans cannot themselves go to the Other World. Not every person from the Other World can pull it off either. The People:The Other World has all manners of inhabitants including mythical creature types in humanoid form. These "humans" have a much longer lifespan than those from Earth. Sometimes, their family names will betray what their background is. However, some of the more reclusive stronger creatures have hidden themselves away. The current presiding king has been trying to maintain order and in the mean time, build an international road that can connect all parts of the world to make travel easier. He has also been putting down opposition ruthlessly and doesn't stand for disloyalty of any kind. Some of his actions have made the world a little stable, and small parts of the world have been falling apart into oblivion. Many people are fearful, some going to the extent of betraying others just to save themselves or their own families. Earth: The world as it is today. Some of the Other World folks choose to live here for whatever reason, but there are only a handful of them, and they are not allowed to use their powers if they have any, so they live as normal human beings...though they have to do something to mask their increased lifespan. Guardians: These people were raised on Earth and know nothing of the Other World. They were either too young, or their memories wiped. Their abilities are also dormant, and they are all separately raised. Somehow, they end up all going to the same college, whether as a student, staff member, or something other than that. Both of these guardians have the Gatekeeper ability, which is the ability to open/close portals or transport between Earth and the Other World freely without any preparations. The Gatekeeper ability is limited to transporting to places that the user has been to or knows of, and the user can’t do it if he’s/she's injured badly, tired, or unconscious. - Fire/ Earth: Fire's adoptive father went missing a few months ago on a business trip, and after some time, a note was sent to Fire saying that the father had committed suicide. That never made sense to Fire, and he’s still recovering from that and is curious about what actually happened. Earth's health might seem to be worse than the others because he gets random bouts of dizziness or just doesn't feel well sometimes. They aren't too frequent, but they have been getting worse lately. - Air/ Water: Taken - Air's adoptive mother went to visit family overseas and was killed in an accident about the same time as Fire's adoptive father. ------------------------------------- The Banished Twin The twin who lost the war was banished to Earth as part of the agreement. However, she has no memory of his life in the Other World and knows nothing about it. Her powers were also sealed, but she retains her fighting skills. The twin on the Earth now does not believe in other worlds or fantasy. Her overall appearance hasn't changed at all and she hasn't aged, though she might have changed styles. The Banished Twin’s Guard He/she is the banished twin’s faithful guard, who left behind his/her family in the Other World. Unlike the twin, the guard retains his/her memory, but cannot speak of anything about the Other World to the twin. This person just watches over the twin to make sure others from the Other World don’t accidentally do anything and also to make sure that the twin doesn’t get killed on Earth. He/she thinks the twin is too important to die. ------------------------------------------- The Resistance and Followers: While the twin was banished for some time, some haven't given up and don't accept the regent as king. These people are careful not to blatantly show their allegiance and are careful to keep everything a secret because they know the king strikes hard. - The Leader of the Resistance- The Banished Twin’s Guard’s Sibling or Cousin This person looks up to the guard as a role model. Roleplayer chose to make this person a coleader. - OthersThe Reigning Twin - The Regent/King The regent recently found out that the guardians were hidden on Earth, and has sent people to seek them out for help and sway them to join his side. Meanwhile, since he knows his twin has no memory, he wants the twin killed for a certain reason. Regent's Followers and Soldiers: - The Regent’s Left and Right Hands Kings don’t keep order by themselves. They usually have trusty or not so trusty generals. Anyway, these "hands" handle the affairs of the world pretty well, helping the king enforce policies and weeding out traitors as well as gaining more power for the trio. Only one of these needs to be filled for the roleplay. - Others/Soldiers/EtcOther World Application Form
Name: [first and last name] Occupation: [What do you do for a living here, and if you have a side, list what side you're on.] Gender: [Male or female] Age: [Anything up to 200] Affinity: [Are you more of a magic user, physical fighter, or something else? Samples - These people might not actually be in the roleplay Name: Estas Landry Occupation: Thief; Neutral Gender: Male Age: 27 Affinity: Estas isn’t really a mage or fighter type. He’s in between… Magic Specialty: Water (Breathing underwater and shields.) Clan of Mythical Creature: Angel Skills: As a thief, Estas is lithe and agile with fingers and legs. He is much better at dodging and running away than fighting though he will have a short sword on him at all times due to habit. Estas is very good at pretending he’s dead. Weaknesses: Fire and females swooning over him. His strength isn’t the best when it comes to fighting. Appearance: Estas stands at a height of five foot six inches with a slender form. He has sleek black hair that is tied in a low pony tail behind him. The tip of the bound hair reaches below his neck to the level of the bottom of the shoulder blades. He has a defined jaw and cheekbones, giving his a face a sharp and alert feel. Estas’s eyes are violet and are used to taking in views to find escape routes. He usually dons loose fitting clothes that make it easy to hide items and move around easily. Weapon: Short Sword, slingshot Personality: Outgoing, full of smiles, and a lady’s man flirt. Inside, Estas likes nothing more than to make the girls swoon over him. However, girls, watch out. If you're looking for bravery in a fight, Estas might be a bit lacking as he's better at running away. Estas is generally kind, but due to his background and experiences, he won’t always show that side of him. History: Estas was born to a well off family and, as a child, received a decent education. However, the family fell on hard times and had to manage with the little they were left with, especially since the Landry land also fell to debt collectors. As a result, Estas resorted to thievery to help feed his family and got rather skilled at picking locks, swiping items, hiding, and running away. He keeps this a secret from his family as they would look down upon him or scold him for being a thief. Then, the war hit, and Estas’s family was a casualty, leaving him alone. He banded with some other orphans to live out the war and survive. Estas doesn’t care about taking sides right now. He’s just concerned about surviving. Other: In extreme circumstances, Estas might involuntarily generate pure white wings. He has no control over this, and the fact that he can do it has something to do with a spell from his parents. ----------------------------------------------------------- Name: Selis DeScythe Occupation: Traveling Musician, Regent Gender: Female Age: 50, but appears to be in 20s. Affinity: Mainly a magic user. Knows basic fighting concepts. Magic Specialty: Healing (closing up wounds only, not poison purification, and calming e.g. making people calm or fall asleep) Clan of Mythical Creature: Siren Skills: Selis is very good with music. She’s good with string instruments and singing. Because she travels, she’s pretty wide traveled and knows a couple of languages. She also knows how to sustain herself with cooking, which might not be to everyone's liking... Weaknesses: Her magic is triggered by music from her voice or as she plays an instrument, so if she can’t use either, she can’t do anything. She is also not a strong aggressive fighter. Appearance: Selis Weapon: Staff Personality: Selis is a very kind lady who has been very responsible from the start. She has a very long patience and stays very calm, her patience built up from years of experiences. She rarely gets angry and treats everyone courteously. Sometimes, she has that “big sister” feel to her. History: Selis is the middle child born to two loving parents (Cameron and Keladri) and a family where music runs in their blood. Selis has two siblings, an older brother Kent, who is assumed dead lost to the war, and an upstart prankster of a younger brother William, who was also a casualty of war but probably brought it upon himself. Working hard through her years, Selis has become somewhat of a “perfect child” to her parents and had been their role model for her younger brother, who apparently thought nothing of it. She has built her career in music and has since aligned with the Regent to prevent any more wars from happening because of the massive casualties. Selis gathers information as she travels and is sort of a messenger. Other:

Name: Cyrus Darnell Bryliane, but people call him all manners of names from His Majesty, Regent, that scum bag, idiot, guardian, or whatever other names people have come up for him whether they make sense or not. Occupation: The Regent of the Other World Gender: Male Age: 127, but looks 22. Affinity: Cyrus is equally balanced in his magic and physical skills. He and his twin sister are mostly well rounded. (This is an exception for the twins) Because of the twins' link, both Cyrus and his sister are able to feel each other's general emotions when both are in the same world. Magic Specialty: A magic similar to telekinesis, [TBA] Clan of Mythical Creature: Human Skills: Bladeswork, Analyzing the big picture, Knowing how to make use of resources to solve problems, [TBA] Weaknesses: Don’t ask him to cook for you. Similar to his twin sister, he has issues with lots and lots of bugs, though he’ll try to hide it or hold a strong face when needed. Cyrus is suffering from some sort of ailment, though it isn't very noticeable right now. Also, he's not the world's greatest artist. Sometimes, his attempted drawings look like chicken scratch. He can at least manage to write and draw maps. Appearance: Cyrus in some casual clothes. Cyrus has red eyes, blonde hair, and is six foot tall. Weapon: Sword, Scepter which really can double as a spear (He doesn’t carry the scepter with him at all times for obvious reasons) Personality: Cyrus is a strong willed level headed, not too talkative type with a sort of charisma. He isn’t afraid to take chances, as is often the case, but he is aware of how everyone views him whether he likes it or not. Some of his “solutions” aren’t necessarily “good” at first impression because things often go bad before getting better. He also has a bit of a sense of humor. He’s down to earth in that way and will try not to show his disappointment when someone does something stupid, unless it’s really stupid or causes bad backlash. He’s pretty good at reading people’s action and composure as well as anticipating potential moves by adversaries. He’s more of a practical action taker than a talker, preferring to go straight to the source of the problem to solve it, and he still holds some sense of honor and justice. However, if someone happens to mention his sister, it will affect him, even if it’s not immediately obvious. Similar to his sister, he is good at keeping a strong face in the face of danger for others and himself or at hiding his pain. (With a certain general around, it’s probably a good idea he does that anyway.) Honestly, he could care less if people called him by his first name or by his title. Unfortunately, due to formalities and impressions, he has to put up with the name calling and formal dress. It’s something that helps maintain order. Honestly, he thought the war for power was stupid, especially when there were other issues to take care of. History: As part of a noble family, Cyrus was trained from a young age to be proficient physically and mentally in both magic and fighting. He often got into brawls either to protect his twin sister or was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. His sister wasn’t always so happy with him being that way. Once, Cyrus actually got kidnapped, and Cora herself led a rescue mission because she felt the others weren't moving fast enough. He and his sister got along for the most part, though they had their differences. For whatever reason, the previous Regent died suddenly, and a war for power dispute began, though Cyrus really isn't sure how it started to begin with. The situation got very bad, tearing the world apart and splitting families and clans down the middle among other physical Other World land problems and threats. Finally, the twins made an agreement, where the loser would be banished. Cyrus officially ascended the throne of the Other World about twenty years ago when the heir dispute was resolved with the banishment of his twin sister, Cora to Earth, when he won the agreement by solving the problems. As the Regent, he’s been trying to maintain order and clean up the mess caused by the war for power. Unfortunately, people that don’t agree with him being in power have been a constant thorn in the side, so he’s been taking them out when he can while continuing work to unify the world and fight back against some threats that people aren’t really noticing immediately. He’s begun to take a harder approach because he’s tired of “dealing with all this crap.” Other: Cyrus has a secret, but he might not even know it. Maybe it has something to do with a curse. When Cyrus was young, he was kidnapped. Cora saved him, feeling that everyone else was taking too long to put together a rescue mission. It was during this time that Cyrus received a curse. The curse activates only while Cyrus is Regent. It’ll force him to berserk and kill Cora and Cora's bodyguard on sight. He has no idea. Name: Genya “the Fearless” Thorinagano Position: Second year graduate student in life sciences Gender: Male Age: 20 Guardian/Affinity: Fire/Earth Skills: Genya is book smart and science smart. The only thing he’s great at when it comes to communicating is in techie talk. He’s good at measuring and being accurate when mixing or examining things. Have a science problem? He's your man... if he doesn't freak out before that. Weaknesses: Genya doesn’t have a lot of courage and he really sucks at fighting. His strength is lacking too. He’d rather run away than face fights. There’s also a 50% chance he’ll faint at the sight of at someone getting stabbed with blood gushing out of the wound, including getting stabbed himself…He’ll try to analyze everything scientifically if it doesn’t make sense to him, which could baffle other people into thinking he’s an oddball. Appearance: Genya has grayish eyes and he’s five foot tall. He dyed his hair blonde by accident. His real hair color is black/dark brown. Personality: He's innocent. Genya is quiet, normally somewhat of a skittish and skeptic coward with the exception of when some scientific topic comes up. However, if you ask him something about "scholarly" information, he may enlighten you confidently. On the other hand, Genya is very curious about things and will try to find out what he does not know… to the point of sometimes being oblivious of danger. To the irony, Genya’s brother coined him “the Fearless.” History: Genya was found and raised in Japan by the scholarly Thorinagano family. He is a bit of a prodigy and lived his life as a quiet and skittish boy, rescued from bullies by his older brother, and accelerating through his studies, graduating from college, and going immediately into graduate school. Currently, he’s on a scholarship at Waterloo but he helps pay for his living expenses and education by being a TA. One of the classes he TAs or substitutes for is an atmospheric science class. Other: His father supposedly committed suicide while on a business trip, or so says a letter, but no one in the family believes this and they are trying to investigate. Name: Myra Bagarth Occupation: Cora's bodyguard Gender: Female Age: 153 (looks 25) Affinity: Physical - has super strength Magic Specialty: Clan of Mythical Creature: Succubus Skills: Tempting/Seducing, Fighting Weaknesses: Locked up alone in closed spaces. Hard to control her strength when she's angry. The blonde guy and his butler. Hot guys. Appearance: Myra has golden blonde hair and light hazel eyes, which may sometimes turn red or have a reddish tint. She is 5' 9''. Myra is literally a succubus. Her succubus form has a tail and wings. Weapon:Giant claymore Personality: She’s a playful seductive temptress when she wants to be and often breaks up stale moments in meetings. She likes sleeping around. However, she has a nickname “Bloody Myra” for her tendency to violently spill and splatter large volumes of the enemy’s blood. She’s actually very violent. She likes to be independent, enjoys challenges, and hates being bored. She likes pampering herself to look pretty and graceful. She has a short temper, but she treats her job very seriously. History: Myra was abandoned by her parents, but learned to survive on her own...sort of. However, at one point, she was involved in an incident which deprived her of her memory. A certain blonde guy picked her up and took her with him to place her into prostitution. His untold excuse was to remind her of who she really was. Anyhow, fast forward, Myra ended up working for Will once he started making use of her potential after she beat up a ton of people with a pen. On one of the trips to the Otherworld, Myra and Cora happened to meet...and Cora ended up with a Myra as a bodyguard. Other:

Profiles of the Greenie Name: Cora Evangeline Rain (Bryliane) Occupation: Banished Twin Gender: Female Age: 127. Looks and thinks she's 22. Affinity: Like Cyrus, Cora is equally balanced in magic and physical skills. Also, because of their link as twins, they can feel each other's emotions while in the same world. Magic Specialty: Unknown Clan of Mythical Creature: Human Skills: Cora is quite good at drawing and dancing. Weaknesses: While she can be quite clever, Cora can fail to see the big picture sometimes. She is the type to focus on the smaller details. She is terrified of bugs and will often scream at the sight of a moth. Also, having no memory makes it rather hard to remember what you once knew. Like spells for instance. Appearance: X Cora is a natural blond, but prefers to keep it a reddish gold to match her eyes. Weapon: Enchanted rapier that doubles as a wand. Personality: Cora can be impatient and impulsive. She is not afraid to take action or risks. Something that likely annoys Myra to no end. She has a great eye for details. Like her brother, she keeps cool in the face of danger and can hide pain well. (Bugs are the exception). Whenever she's asked if she has any siblings, she always feels like there should be someone, she just can't remember who. History: Cora has no memory of her past. Myra told her she hit her head, and it gave her amnesia. Fair enough. Doesn't explain why she owns a rather medieval looking sword and knows how to use it. Or why when she draws it's always of the same strange world that she sometimes see in her dreams. Just a wild imagination she's told. Nothing more. Other: TBA Name: Andromeda (Andi) Steward Position: 3rd year undergraduate in atmospheric sciences. Gender: Female Age: 19 Guardian/Affinity: Air/Water Skills: While not a prodigy like her fellow guardian, Andromeda is quite smart in her own right. Having grown up in an adoptive home with 4 older brothers, Andi grew up to be quite strong with one mean punch. Despite her boyish nature, she's also exceptional at sewing and needlework. Weaknesses: Andi isn't good in situations that require any amount of tact or careful planning. She will act now and ask questions later. She really not good in enclosed places either. Small rooms, staircases, etc etc. All of it gives her the shivers. Appearance: X Andromeda almost always has her hair cut short. Her eyes are blue. She tends to wear whatever is comfortable. Usually being pants and a button down shirt. Personality: Andi has a rough and tumble sort of personality. She will charge head first into most situations and just generally go with the flow of things. She adapts well to new situations. And she will say whatever she thinks at the moment she thinks it. History:Andromeda grew up in a loud though loving home with four older brothers and two loving parents in Italy. Being the youngest, one would probably expect her brothers to be overprotective. Well that would be half right. From the time she could walk Andromeda would follow her brothers everywhere. She idolized them, did everything just like them. That all changed when she was 15. Her parents weren't getting along anymore and decided it was best to separate. Her mom took a job in Canada, and took Andi with her. Her brothers, all being of age by that point, decided to stay in Italy. Andi went back to Italy at least once a year for visits. But otherwise she settled into her new life in Ontario well enough. When she graduated high school she started going to the University of Waterloo, studying in atmospheric sciences. Andromenda was busy with university when her mom decided it would be a good time to visit her brothers. Her mom went to Italy...and never came back. Other: Nothing for now. Name: Bastion Aquileon Occupation: General and Advisor to the Regent Gender: Male Age: 175. Looks about 27. Affinity: Physical Magic Specialty: Earth. In particular the manipulation of rare minerals. Clan of Mythical Creature: Grifin Skills: He's a good talker. He can make almost anything sound like a good idea. What he lacks in magic he gains in speed in strength. Lastly he has a great mind for strategy. Weaknesses: Weak magic ability. Is narrow minded to his own wants. His fighting ability is severally hindered if for some reason he can't fly. Appearance: Human Form True Form Bastion has black hair and almost always is wearing some mix of armor and robes. When he take true form he is roughly twice the size of a human, and any clothes he happens to be wearing transforms itself accordingly. Weapon: Claws Personality: Arrogant, selfish, and manipulative. Bastion is a prideful man who seeks power among all else. He sees himself as Regent in all but name. And yet, there is a kindness in him. He has a soft spot for Cyrus, much in the way you might get attached to a person after being with them for so long. It does not stop him from twisting Cyrus for his own needs, but he would never intentionally harm Cyrus. He also has a soft spot for those at the bottom, those who might desire more in life but are so far down their chances are slim. History: Bastion was born to the pride of griffins in the eastern mountains. More animal then human, the pride lived simple lives. Hunting, migrating. They kept to their own. As a boy curious of the world, Bastion started to explore out from the mountains. Adopting a human form for the first time to explore the villages near the Regents kingdom. It was fascinating. Humans lived such a different life, and their ranks were wide and numerous. He saw how the higher ranks got everything they wanted, just because of who they are. Seeing also that the whole world seemed to run on wealth, Bastion began to use his scant magic to make gems to sell at market. With more money, he gained more respect. He started to form a name for himself, make connections among the elite. But a wealthy merchant was not what he wanted. He wanted more. Through various connections, Bastion secured himself a place on the royal guard. He was quick and vicious and battle. Skills they could use. Skills he used to move through the ranks until he was just under the generals. And then the deaths began. Nothing suspicious. Accidently choking on a soup bone here. Ambushed by bandits there. Falling on ones own sword. That sort of thing. Eventually there was no one else to lead the Royal guard. And Bastion was the highest qualified. Despite the vast personal risk it was to himself (generals were dropping like flies after all) Bastion agreed to be General and Advisor to the Regent. And then the Regent died. Bastion immediately took the young heir under his wing, and supported his taking of the throne. The world was in shambles and the Cyrus had the knowledge and wisdom to fix it, with much of Bastion's advise. He could not risk completion though. Oh no. Cora was strong headed and didn't agree with Bastion. She had to go. So an agreement was made and Bastion foresaw victory. Though, even on earth she was still a threat. Perhaps he should have something done about that... Other:

~ Prologue ~
The Other World is a fair place, an imaginative utopia that we of the Earth can only dream of.
A man stood on a high ridge overlooking the vast view of the angelic world stretching endlessly in front of him: dark forests holding their mysterious secrets, lush fields welcomingly inviting inhabitants to run and play , clear blue oceans stretching on plentifully, sandy deserts of golden oasis and hidden treasures, and playful cirrus clouds wisping in the sky. The cape he wore began to flutter behind him fiercely as the wind picked up in the area and around the world, as if exercising its vantage point from ire.
The stuff of fairy tales, myths, and the great unknown floats in this dimension, entrance invisible to any of us.
The man had an ominous black sword in his hand. Glowing red symbols were inscribed along the length of the sword’s hilt and extending along the dark blade, adding to the foreboding aura around the weapon.
But I suppose there really isn’t something truly possibly called a utopia.
The sword slashed at the empty air.
Not one that lasts forever anyway.
And all hell broke loose as heaven fell. The earth began to crumble and shatter, hungry flames shooting up to engulf everything. The fair oceans boiled and overflowed, waters crashing through and causing their own waves of destruction before being swallowed up by the furious explosions of flames.
Isn’t that right?
And everything suddenly became black. Dark. Empty. A bottomless abyss. An abysmal black hole of nonexistence…
After all…it just went poof.

~ Chapter 1: To Another World ~ Earth:In the college world of Earth, life hasn’t really been going all that well lately. The universities have been hit by a string of strange occurrences ranging from suicides and random sabotages, and exploding building, and people are always hoping there’s an end. The most recent event, a weird suicide, occurred at a medium sized well reputed university with a nice green campus. Rumors have flown on how that happened, but in memory of the victims and the prior tragedies from all over the world, a campus wide candlelight vigil would be held later in the evening to reflect and pray. Unfortunately, besides psychological impact, there were also physical impacts. A building that had collapsed and burned and other construction unrelated to the accident had just happened to force class locations to be moved around…Due to sheer irony, on this clear blue skied day, a communications class, an art class, and an engineering class were in consecutive classrooms next to each other in an art building… In a certain atmospheric science class, “Cyrus the Great was the founder of the Persian Empire in the Achaemenid Dynasty…. Sumer … Babylon… King of the four corners of the world….” Genya Thorinagano’s grayish eyes blinked. "Wait... this isn't atmospheric science." The twenty year old grad student in life sciences had somehow gotten conned into TAing this one session last minute for a buddy. His friend's notes seemed to be from the wrong class though. It seemed to be history material. Genya didn’t really know history at all. All he cared about was science, and all this history stuff about wars didn’t really interest him. So, now Genya was just looking at the class with a flustered pink face and sometimes a blank look….and stuttering words. This was by far the worst teaching experience Genya ever had. "Uh... let's forget that...wrong class..."

A campus in chaos was an interesting place. Students and teachers alike didn't seem to know where exactly they were supposed to be at any said moment in time. And Cora, a red headed art student, found her artsy almost hipster corner of campus suddenly invaded by hoards of science, engineering, and communications students. Cora thought she was going to a theory class on post modernist paintings. But...no. When she walked in she didn't recognize a single face. Giving it the benefit of a doubt that everyone else was wrong, she walked in and took a seat, finding a place in the second row. Wherever else was pulling out notebooks and laptops, all Cora had was her sketchbook. It was paper. It would do for notes.
And that was when the TA walked in. The frown slowly started to form on her face as he started to talk. The Persian Empire? That was a little early for post modernism. Though...her frown was more at the name. She felt like she knew someone by the name, but she couldn't form a face. Maybe she would ask Myra later. Myra for whatever reason had an answer for just about anything. Weather or not these answers were real was yet to be seen.
"I think you're looking for Ancient History. That's down the hall somewhere." Andromeda was sitting in the first row. At first glance most probably assumed her to be a boy. Though her rounded feminine face likely gave that away. "Unless you happen to have something there on high pressure weather systems." Andromeda added. "That is where Prof Green left off anyway." Andromeda almost pitted the guy a bit. It was enough that all of the classes were mixed up. It was another he was maybe given the wrong notes, or the wrong class number. Though….he looked a little young to be a TA. He couldn't be any older then she was.
Whoh….she was in the wrong place. Cora promptly got up. She gathered up her things and got out of there. History nope. Science double nope. Deciding she would rather not go search over campus for her glass, Cora opted to skip and go sit out under the oak out side of the art building until next class. She had work to do anyway.
Back in Genya's class, Andromeda leaned her chin on her fists. She was debating if she should throw the poor guy a bone. The class was getting loud with chattering students. She had her textbook in her bag, and flipped to the section they were supposed to be doing today. "You can borrow my book if you want." Andi offered to Genya.

Genya's face flushed, going slightly red as Andi told him he was looking for ancient history. He was so flustered and embarrassed that he didn't eve notice a student (Cora) leave. The young TA was certain he had been asked to substitute for an atmospheric science class. Now, why had his buddy given him notes on history? The blonde Japanese sighed as he flipped through the notes. "High pressure weather systems..." Nope, nothing. Well.... high pressure weather systems weren't exactly Genya's forte even though he was a life sciences graduate student. He "heh-heh-ed" nervously as he took the book from Andi and skimmed. He could understand this, but really.....
Well, since this was going to fail... the bespectacled TA pulled out a Bunsen Burner from his bag. "Well, we'll take it from the basics then." He set the Bunsen Burner on the table and then attached it to the gas valve. Somehow, he was going to tie this to atmospheric science. Somehow, no one was going to question why a random TA carried around Bunsen Burners in his bag.
Myra Bagarth stretched out and sighed as she got up from a seat in what appeared to be a dressing room. The succubus ironically was an instructor for modeling. In the arts building, there was a wing close to the auditorium which held the modeling classes and a small mock runway. The golden blonde haired instructor had just finished teaching classes for the day. With a smile, a twirl, and then a skip, Myra headed out of the dressing room, through the hallways, and through the door to the rest of campus. Freedom. "Ah, that took much too long," she sighed as she waltzed around a little bit. But alas, her waltzing stopped when she noticed a certain red head sitting under the large oak outside the arts building. "Cora....why aren't you in class....?" Myra asked with her hands on her hips as she towered over the sitting Cora.

Andromeda offered something of a reassuring smile when Genya took the book and glanced it over. Watching the poor guy was like watching Bambi walk for the first time. And for a TA, he didn't look any older then anyone in the class. It wasn't gaining him much in the respect point, as the drone of voices went on even as Genya started to talk again.
"Shut up!" Andi yelled back at the rest of the class. "He's starting." The class sort fell into a semi shocked silence at that, letting Genya get on with setting up the Bunsen burner. An odd thing to just be carrying around, but this was a science class.
Cora was sitting under the large oak, her sketchbook flipped open on her lap. Her drawing professor expect there to be a drawing for every day of the semester, and she was behind by a few. She started working on a drawing of a black haired man with large golden wings. Most would probably think him handsome, but there was something...almost snake like in that arrogant expression. She was so involved in the drawing that she didn't notice someone approached her until a shadow filled her page and a voice rang out from just above her.
Looking up, Cora grinned a sheepish smile. "Well….It seems my post modernism class swapped places with a science class masquerading as a history class. And I didn't too much care to find out where my class went so….I thought I might come and enjoy the sunshine?" The sift in weather was practically perfectly time. The second Cora uttered the words sunshine, the clouds shifted over the sun and it started to rain. "Oh blast!" Cora scrambled to put her things away. She didn't too much care for the idea of having to redo her entire sketchbook because of water damage.

Myra almost just rolled her eyes when she spotted what Cora was drawing. It was that dumb general. He was just plain bad news. Why did the girl have to draw him of all people? As if on cue, right after Cora answered her, the rain happened, and it wasn't just a simple few drops. It was a downpour. "Blast indeed!" Myra practically growled. "That man you drew is just bad luck!" And now her wavy hair was going to be ruined. "Let's get inside... I didn't bring an umbrella today....it wasn't supposed to rain!"
----
Genya was almost grateful when Andi screamed "Shut up" at everyone else in the class. At least she was being supportive of his lost mind. Of course Genya had no idea what he was doing with the atmospheric science class, and he had just about had it because he was so flustered with being lost and embarassed. He was distracted, so he never realized that there was actually a gas leak in the room somehow. It could have been from a furnace for firing up clay and ceramics or something else entirely. Whatever the case, there was a gas leak, and life was just going to get a little bit more interesting for everyone. The life sciences grad student ignored the strange looks. He took out some pieces of items from his bag. Magnesium, and some other elements in physical form. “Well, the point? The Northern Lights are called aurora borealis. These are created from collisions of gas particles. Let me demonstrate how you can make your own version with, umm, elements. Well, these are different elements, and let’s see which colors match---“ The grad student lit the Bunsen Burner….
KABOOM!
The building shook as a large flame blew out the window adjacent to the TA’s desk nearly hitting where Andi, and another flame burst through one of the doors of the classroom, hitting the hallway walls in visible view from other classrooms.
“WHHHATTT? Fire extinguisher?!!” That didn’t make sense at ALL? Bunsen Burners don’t burn SIDEWAYS!!!! How did that happen?!!! ”Nevermind! Everyone evacuate! Class is over for now!!!!” Genya screamed at the top of his lungs as he waved the dark smoke billowing around in the room. He couldn’t see, and the smoke was clogging up the classroom. He searched for the fire extinguisher. The window was on fire. The door was on fire, and the building was pretty much catching on fire. The flames would be obvious to even Myra and Cora as they were sitting outside in the rain.
------------------------------
BOOM! The smile on a certain red haired engineering professor’s face stayed there as he continued teaching, completely unaffected by the loud boom in the building. “And so… if you and dead people can only read hex, how many people can read hex?” The professor sighed. “0xDEAD. Now, today, we’re going to have to cut class short. Anyone have any objections? No? Alright. Well, that assignment on the zombie maze is due next week. Please leave the building from the door to the left." The left door was on the opposite side of the classroom, not facing the direction where the explosion had sounded from. “Make like zombies are after you! Well, not really, but why not? Hey, you too! No peeking!” The professor quickly packed up his stuff, and pulled the fire alarm in the hallway, and went to check on the mess.
Because obnoxious fire alarms are so hard to ignore. This wasn't one of those fire alarms that had a voice speaking in a very very calm voice declaring that there was a danger and everyone had to leave. This was an obnoxious ringing loud sound.

"Don't take it out on him! It's just a drawing!" Cora defended with a giggle once everything was packed away in her bag. Though, she had to admit the face did seem...blameable. "Freak shower I guess. " Cora offered.
But Myra's wavy locks were doomed to descend into a mass of wet frizz. They were about half way across the lawn when it happened. Flames burst out of the doors and windows of the school and the ground rumbled fainting from the force. "M-Myra…" Cora looked wide eyed at the flaming building. "Maybe it's a good thing I skipped class…"
"Everyone out! Doors, windows, whatever. Just out!" Andi's voice yelled over the cacophony of shouts and sirens. Really it was likely no one could hear her, but she was trying. Quickly she corralled the class out through the door and out into the pouring rain. Well….just another lucky day at the University of Waterloo.
She knew the fire department would be well on it's way already. But still, she wondered if there was any way she could help. She noticed a red headed stop sign of a professor coming over to investigate. "Sir, do you know where the gas main is? Maybe someone should turn it off before the whole school explodes?"

"Just a drawing," Myra muttered. When Cora ever recovered her memory, she would know. That man in the drawing was ugly and deserved to be soaked in the rain instead of Myra and Cora. In fact, if Myra could have, she would have torn that drawing out of Cora's pad and left it to soak in the rain until it ripped into many pieces. But no, Cora didn't know and didn't understand.
The golden haired beauty pouted and frowned as her hair became straight stringy pieces of wet spaghetti. Oh, how she despised how rain ruined her pretty hair as she made a beeline for building. However, the pouty annoyed feeling vanished as an explosion sounded and Cora exclaimed, "Maybe it's a good thing I skipped class…" The blonde blinked. "We should go...the other way," Myra suggested as she steered Cora's shoulders away from the flaming building. While this was in no way related to the OtherWorld as far as Myra could see, she still had a duty to protect Cora from Earthlings' foolish actions. "Lucky you, Cora. No class today~" Wait.. her make up was in that building! Some of her most expensive make up for the modeling demonstrations. For a moment, Myra's eyebrow twitched. "I left my make up in there!" She took a step toward the flaming building despite having steered Cora away only a few seconds ago.
---
The red haired stop sign of a professor only smiled as Andi made her suggestion. He patted her shoulder. "Good idea, but it's in the basement. Run along now and get outside with the rest of the students." The professor had pretty much stated that the gas main wasn't going to be turned off in town. Right now, the building was going to hell, and the basement was locked. Really, the fact that no one had discovered a gas leak earlier meant that the smell wasn't so strong that too much gas had leaked. However, the flames were spreading quicker than expected, implying that more gas had leaked than required smell. It was then that Armand and Andi picked up cries for help down the hall in the direction Andi had come from.
---- Meanwhile inside the flaming classroom, "Wah.." Genya cried as he flailed around trying to find the fire extinguisher. His hands eventually touched something metallic, which felt like the fire extinguisher and he fumbled as he tried to get it ready to spray. It was so terribly hot though from the flames. "....gas leak.... D:" Genya mumbled as he sprayed the extinguisher randomly. At least all the students were out? Right now, he could only hear the flames and his spraying and he didn't think anyone else was in the room.... "...so hot..."
The flames weren't going out. As they disappeared, more flames appeared. Genya found himself inching toward where he thought the classroom door was. However, to his dismay, instead he felt heat coming from the door too. Genya was trapped. How had the flames spread so quickly? "Ahh.. help!" Genya yelled. He squinted as he tried spraying the extinguisher on the classroom door flames. "OOF!" the TA cried as he tripped over something warm and hard.
"OWWW"
The TA stared.. There was a student hiding underneath a desk. "Uh...you need to get out from under there..." Genya stuttered. "It's dangerous..!"

Firm strong hands were placed on her shoulders and Cora found herself being marched in the opposite direction from the school...for all of ten steps. "Myra?" Cora half turned, looking up at Myra's face. That eyebrow twitch. Oh gods. "No Myra!" Cora turned the rest of the way and started running after Myra. As soon as she was within grabbing distance, her hand clawed at Myra's shirt and she pulled her back, "That is a burning building! One does not simply walk into a burning building!" Cora yelled, shifting her grip to Myra's arm and pulled harder in the opposite direction of school. Myra could be...uncharaistically strong...for some reason. Cora hoped this wasn't one of those times of she would likely find herself dragged in Myra's quest for her make up. "Myra! It's probably already melted anyway! Or full of smoke. Do you really want to smell like smoke? It would be horrible for your modeling career."
Andi blinked. "Well….I guess that's out of the question then." She murmured. "Another one bites the dust?" as asked, as the building was slowly consumed in flame. Where were they going to have classes now? Cubicle off the gym? The acoustics would be horrible. Like listening to 20 languages all speaking at the same time. Maybe she should have taken her brother's offer to move back home to Italy.
And then she heard the cries. Andromeda legitimately face palmed. How did he manage to get himself stuck in the building?! Andi looked back at the road. Why weren't the fire fighters here yet? Genya was going to burn if he didn't get out now. She waited all of two seconds before, "I'm going in!" and ran off towards the building, leaving Armand to decide whether or not he was going to try and stop her or follow her.
Running in the building, Andi put her sleeve up to her face and tried to breath through the fabric. Her eyes were stinging from the smoke, but the classroom was close. She charged forward, and turned into the classroom. "GENYA!!! Come on!" Andi hollered. She could hardly see him through the smoke. But she could hear him. Him and...was that other voice? "Is there...someone else here? Bahhh never mind. Just grab them and drag them out. I'm not too fussy over being here longer then I have to."
