Solo Mission Rules

1. Post your mission in the Grading Room located here when you are ready to submit it.

2. Wait for your previous mission to be graded before posting another. This helps to prevent missions from becoming buried in the thread and missed.

3. Type your mission up on Microsoft or a similar program. Missions aren't meant to be done on the spur of the moment. They should take you a little while to write and being able to save it is a good thing.

4. Please spell/grammar check your work before submitting it to be graded. You have plenty of time to complete a mission. Can there be a few grammatical mistakes here or there? Sure, but try to have it well written.
*Spell-check checks both grammar and spelling, so there really shouldn't be anything wrong.

5. Try to have a good storyline and don't be afraid to take it up a notch. Put an introduction and a conclusion. If you have a mission that doesn't require Pokémon, story is that much more important. If I can read it in under two minutes, it wasn't that good.

6. Please space your paragraphs or take advantage of bbcode to indent your paragraphs. It's hard to read a mission when everything is in one gigantic blob and Gaia doesn't properly display indented paragraphs, so the best way is to leave a blank line between them.

7. When writing a mission, don't say you got a message on your TADS and it gives you every specific about what's happening. You may get messages that something just happened, and in what direction the group responsible is heading, but it shouldn't tell you the number in the group, or what kind of Pokémon they use.

8. Don't count evo points, Pokémon capture, or mission rewards until your mission has been given a passing grade. You don't get the rewards and you can't keep the Pokémon you catch, but you also don't lose any items used. You get your rewards when your mission passes.

9. Don't give up, even if you fail a mission!. You can continue making changes and resubmitting it until you pass. Just keep in mind the comments provided by the mission grader.

10. If a Pokemon you're using in a mission has an O-Power that is going to activate, please post a link to the training regimen that earned said O-Power so graders can ensure legitimacy.

Note to mission graders! If you allow a mission to pass, send a PM to a Crew member to update the rank list with whatever Pokemon were caught in the mission or rank-up was given as a result of the passed mission.

Mission Levels
A Quick Rundown of Recommendations and Expectations

We have many different missions to pick from, all ranging in difficulty. As the difficulty of the missions increase, we do expect more out of your writing skills. In this section, I will briefly go over what we expect to see of missions at certain levels.

Level One Missions
The easiest level missions. We don't expect too much from missions at this level, just a bit of story. In terms of length, the general rule of thumb for a mission at this level is that if it can be read in under 2 minutes, it's not long enough. It's not very often these missions are failed, as they are designed for those just starting out and graders are generally pretty forgiving of errors. They act as a quick, easy way to train/expand your Pokémon team and get some practice at writing and battling before handling the tougher missions.

Level Two Missions
These missions are a bit harder than the level one missions, but are still not that difficult. They are expected to be a bit longer than the level one missions and generally we will look for better story writing. Battles featured in these missions are also going to include maybe one or two more Pokémon, so it's good to have at least 3 or 4 Pokémon on your team before undertaking them.

Level Three Missions
This is where the missions start to get hard. A full team of Pokémon is generally recommended at this stage, or at least one or two evolved Pokémon. Missions of this caliber are expected to be a bit on the lengthy side and can take a while to write. Graders will expect to read a story with good flow and detailing, and will also expect to see some good, solid battles.

Level Four Missions
These missions are expected to be quite lengthy, and a fully or at least mostly evolved Pokémon team is definitely recommended. The battles in these missions are going to be long and will be expected to be expertly written. Graders will also start to grade more harshly, expecting a fun-to-read, well-written story. Get comfortable with level three missions before attempting these ones.

Level Five Missions
The hardest of the hard. These missions are going to be long and will take a large amount of time to write. A fully evolved Pokémon team is highly recommended, as these missions can feature many consecutive battles against opponents with full teams of Pokémon. At this point in time, grammar and spelling errors may make the difference between a pass and fail. Graders will also expect a detailed and captivating story. Keep in mind, the objectives of these missions can be quite overwhelming, so get lots and lots of practice before even thinking of attempting these missions.

Be careful, though- the route hums with Pokemon who want to fight. And that's not all- be on the lookout for music thieves known as Mozart's Cabaret who don't like such underground tunes!

There's only one problem: All of your items have been stolen, and the only things which you have managed to scrounge up were a bottle of hair spray, a nickel, a paperclip, a lighter, a dusty gumball, and a small piece of cheese. While inside the game, you must meet up with your virtual self and (at least) two real members of the Aqua team (past or present). Use your new friends as a vital tool to fight your way through the lab and beat the mad scientist who got you into this mess in the first place!

Because everyone knows when you're washed up, a reality show will put you back in the public eye.
Either way, even if this is favorable to us, we need to prepare some stuff to maintain some level of secrecy and keep our enemies unaware of our actions. Basically, you make those camera crews think we’re not worth anyone's time.
Objectives:
- Find a suitable fake base to meet the Film crew at (Be creative)
- Get a fake distress call for a fake (and totally lame) emergency
- You will fight some real Trainers (seven), who will all be bandits or criminals of some sort.
- You’ll also deal with one real natural disaster. Forest fire, tidal wave, Volcanic eruption, whatever tickles your Pinap.
- Make sure nothing exciting happens infront of that camera lens
Catch-able Pokemon: You may catch any non-legend available at your rank at some point.
Reward: Sorry, but the series will get canned by Executive branch, so no screentime for you. BUT, you will get 10,000 PD for your time, along with some cool BlackGlasses.

Difficulty: 5
Objective: We've just received a call from the Pokemon Center in Snowpoint City. They picked up a distress signal from a fishing boat, the Princess Froslass. Atmospheric conditions are making radio transmissions difficult, so we don't yet know the nature of the boat's distress.

Anyways, they've placed it on the Ruins of Alph, and it has a suction thingy-ma-jig. They are sucking up fossils, and in a minute they turn into Pokemon.
Well, anyways, something happened to the machine. It has received a virus that makes the fossil Pokemon turn against humanity. The fossil Pokemon are rampaging through the Ruins of Alph. It has been sealed off for now, but there are researchers and scientists stuck there. Your job is to fight off 3-5 fossil Pokemon, rescue the people, and find a way to make the machine stop processing fossils. After rescuing the scientists, they will reward you by restoring your fossil. With a non-portable machine.
Catch-able Pokemon: Kabuto, Omanyte, Aerodactyl, Anorith, Lileep, Cranidos, Shieldon, Archeon, Tirtouga, Tyrunt, Amaura

Mission Name: The Santalune Summer Sunrise Festival
Difficulty: 3
Objective: At the beginning of the summer, the citizens of Santalune City hold a grand festival to welcome the warm weather. The folks of Aquacorde Town and Vaniville Town also join in on the occasion. You have been hired to help watch over the festival and make sure no shady characters ruin the fun! To start off the day, everyone will gather in the middle of Santalune City for wild partying with food and drink. Then, there will be a grand parade, featuring floats based on the Pokemon that reside in Santalune Forest. The parade path is as follows: Route 3, Santalune Forest, Route 2, Aquacorde Town, Route 1, and finally Vaniville Town. Problems won't arise until you hit Santalune Forest. You can either station yourself on a float and watch for thugs over the heads of the crowd or keep your distance and watch that way. Either way, throughout the parade you will fight 3 average thugs, with 3 un-evolved Bug and Fighting-type Pokemon each, and their two leaders. The leaders are a set of twins, who will only fight you together in a double battle. One uses a Pinsir and the other uses a Heracross, and both will Mega Evolve at the same time! Once the parade has safely reached Vaniville Town, you will be offered a choice between a Pinsirite or Heracronite.

Of course, the folks of Aquacorde Town and Vaniville Town join in this one as well. The mayor of Santalune City was so impressed with your skill during the Sunrise Festival that he has hired you again for this one as well. The Sunset Festival isn't as guady as the Sunrise Festival. In fact, it's way more serious. Once the sun sets and the moon is high in the sky, everyone gathers in the Aquacorde Town square to pray for an easy winter and to float candle lanterns down the river that passes through the town, in hopes for a good summer next year. The same gang of thugs that bothered the festival at the beginning of the summer will return once more, but this time they've managed to get a hold of the mayor during the festivities and take him hostage. To get the mayor back, you will have to fight through 4 thugs, 2 of them using 3 Bug-type Pokemon with one being fully evolved and the other 2 using 3 Fighting-type Pokemon, again with one being fully evolved. You will have to take on the twin leaders in a double battle once more, but this time they will use their Mega Pinsir and Mega Heracross at different times in the battle. One also has a Nidoking and Hitmonchan, while the other now has a Nidoqueen and Hitmonlee. Upon saving the mayor, you will be presented with the Mega Stone you didn't take in the Sunrise Festival mission (so either Pinsirite or Heracronite).
Catch-able Pokemon: Any Bug- or Fighting-type Pokemon available at your rank.
Reward: 2000 PD and either Pinsirite or Heracronite (the one you don't have already).

The first trainer will use the 3 Johto starters, fully evolved, along with 3 other Pokemon that may or may not be fully evolved. The second will use the 3 Sinnoh starters, also fully evolved, and 3 other Pokemon that also may or may not be fully evolved. Waiting at the very top of the falls is the third trainer, who will use the 3 Unova starters, again, fully evolved, and 2 other Pokemon that may or may not be fully evolved. Objective: Rumor has it that all 3 of the Legendary Birds of Kanto have been spotted flying around Azure Bay! An old man who regularly hangs around the area is requesting that someone retrieve him a feather from each Legendary Bird. You must find each Legendary Bird and either pluck the feather from their body or follow them until one loosens and falls off. If you choose to pluck a feather, you will initiate a battle with said Legendary Bird. You will not be able to defeat it, as this is a Legendary Pokemon we're talking about, but you must use your Pokemon to defend yourself and try and make it run away. If you choose to wait it out and find an already molted feather, you will have to fight a trainer who is also after the feather. The trainer you fight will use a full team of fully evolved Pokemon of types that oppose the Legendary Bird whose feather you are trying to acquire. Obviously, you can mix and match your options. Wait out one bird and pluck the other two or whatever you desire! When you have acquired all 3 feathers, you must present them to the old man and then fight him. He will use a full team of mainly fully evolved Poison-type Pokemon and any other Pokemon you may perceive as ninja-esque. He will definitely use a Scizor that will Mega-Evolve. You will fight 3 of their normal ranked members who use full teams consisting of dog or cat-like Pokemon that may or may not be evolved. You will then have to face the leader.
Not mentioned in story: The leader of the gang depends on which Mega Stone you are seeking. If you are after Manectite, you will face a young male with a yellow and blue mohawk who uses a Mega Manectric and 5 other fully evolved dog or cat-like Pokemon. If you are seeking Houndoomite, you will face a young female with long, wave red hair. She also uses 5 fully evolved dog or cat-like Pokemon, along with a Mega Houndoom. You will fight 3 gang members again, but this time they use any 6 fully evolved Pokemon. You will then face the leader.

Mission Name: Race To The Finish!
Difficulty: 4
Objective: It's that time of year again and Cyllage City is having it's annual bike race. The track is fairly straight forward: it loops around the town via the beach, then you have to travel up the cliffside and deal with some sharp turns, and then you coast downhill towards the finish line. Pretty simple, right? Well, some of the racers like to play dirty. They'll try to push you off the track to make you fall behind or even challenge you to a Pokemon battle while you're riding! Make sure to bring a team of Pokemon that can fight and keep up with your bike, as you're gonna have to fight at least 2 trainers that use full teams of fully evolved Pokemon that are pretty darn quick on their feet (or wings!). Beat those psky trainers and come in first place! When you win, one of the sore losers will challenge you to a battle. They'll use a team of nimble Pokemon as well, except one will be a Tyranitar or Aggron that will Mega Evolve.
If they use a Mega Tyranitar, you will acquire an Aggronite for winning the race. If they use a Mega Aggron, you will acquire a Tyranitarite.
Catch-able Pokemon: Any Flying-type Pokemon available at your rank (it will swoop down on you during the race!)
Reward: A Quick Claw and either Tyranitarite or Aggronite.

Mission Name: Climb To The Top!
Prerequisite: Complete "Race To The Finish!".
Difficulty: 4
Objective: The folks of Cyllage City just love competition, don't they? The Cyllage City gym has been renovated so it's a straight climb to the top with no platforms to rest on. Just like the bike race, you'll have to race to the top while fighting trainers who are competing against you. You'll need to bring Pokemon that can fly or fight while climbing in order to defend yourself from the trainers that will try and make you fall back to the bottom. You will fight at least 2 trainers, who use full teams of fully evolved Pokemon that are built to fight in the vertical realm! Oh, did we mention you won't have a climbing harness at all? Yeah, please don't fall. When you make it to the top, just like last time, you will be challenged by a sore loser who uses a full team that was built for the climb, except they will also have a Mega Aggron or Mega Tyranitar.
If they used a Mega Tyranitar in the first mission, they will use a Mega Aggron this time and you will acquire a Tyranitarite for winning the race this time. If they used a Mega Aggron in the first mission, they'll use a Mega Tyraniar and you will get an Aggronite instead.
Catch-able Pokemon: Any Ground or Rock-type Pokemon available at your rank (it will pop out of the rock wall and attack you as you're climbing!)
Reward: A Hard Stone and either Tyranitarite or Aggronite.
