OOC Please select a door HERE first! Anyone can enter! If you have not posted you still can post in the topic above and then come here to post here!
When you open your eyes the first thing you see is that you are in a prison. It is dark, it is cold. Both your arms have been sealed with strange runes, etched right into your arms in glowing angry round. You locked inside cold stone walls. There is no light that reaches your cell, though between thick black bars you can see bare silhouettes of the others and you can hear your voice echo from inside your cell.
"Eat. Consume."
You're not too sure how much time has passed, but you become hungry, almost insatiably hungry. It is a strange feeling, an emptiness that gnaws inside your chest and you realize you are dying. You realize what you crave is Fear, because without it you will die, you will dissipate and never reform again. The runes have been draining your Fear and now your core is barely above an empty shell. The hunger nearly blinds your vision, it makes you sick, dizzy and weak, and you struggle to remain coherent as a buzzing noise rings around you -
CLANG.
The gates open. Your gates. Instinctively you reach outwards and in your daze see others.
The outcome is slow, but potentially inevitable. Consume the others around you, or starve and die - that choice is yours alone.
OOC - At this point I will be updating every day or so with more prompts, and smaller prompts/reactions to things, so feel free to answer as you wish. - You can also explore the jail cell. There are infinite cell doors, but at the very end is a locked door. There is a trap door on the other side. Next to the trap door are two different keys hanging. Torches line all the walls. On the ceiling of the hallway there are strange rooms that require a close examination. The only way to escape is to explore this hallway. Post explorations in BOLD RED and I will reply to them and give you potentially more options. - Y1 students have 5 stamina, Y2 have 10, Y3+ have 15. Every action you take (ie: a post in BOLD RED FOR EXPLORING) consumes 1 stamina. When you reach 0 you dissipate. You are OUT of stamina. Another player may offer to give you stamina. When they do, they are literally giving a portion of their Fear to give to you. Touching their severed Fear will automatically let you absorb it. Has this always been possible? It is here, at least . - You can also FORCEFULLY take someone's Fear. Roll 1d4 and select a target. That is the amount of Fear you take from someone. - The goal of this event is to escape this ???. A couple of lucky escapees will be picked for a sacrificial role in the future

His eyes opened, staring around at the total blackness of the room he was in. When would he learn not to walk through strange doors?
Raising his arms, something glowing caught his attention. "Aw man thats just weird." He stared at the runes, etched right in to the flesh of his exposed arms crudely. Taking a finger he ran it over the runes, tracing them. Though oddly, these were not was bothered him as much as something else.
He was SO hungry.
This sensation was familiar yet not? Normally when he was hungry he just went and found something to eat. Waking up with this much pain, from lack of sustenance, was an unusual feeling for him. Remi did like to eat food, probably a little too much. It was a surprise he hadn't started to pack on some weight. This hunger felt more like starvation, like his body was lacking something vital to his survival. While he craved something to fill the hole in his being, he was starting to wonder if it was food or not.
The doors opened with a clang. Slowly he pushed himself to his feet, and found himself slinking outside. He was not the only person here. Where exactly was here? What scared him even more, why were some people giving him hungry looks. Was he giving them the same look back?

Amrita felt...strange. She was heavy, and she ached more than she should have. All she remembered was a group, a promise to protect the younger ones, and then...then what? She went through a door, didn't she? That didn't make sense. Something must have happened since then. But what?
Finally, she opened her eyes, and what she saw made her sit up quickly, trying to peer through the darkness for someone, anyone, she recognized. There was nothing but shapes...but as she went to call out, but the words she heard were different from the words she had wanted to utter. Then, immediately, she felt it; a hunger she had never felt before. It was a feeling that was alien to her, and yet she knew exactly what it was; the need to consume fear to survive, the ache of her entire being as it cried out for the only thing that could sustain it.
She was starving.
The doors shrieked and opened, leaving the startled Patchwork the option of leaving her cage; the only reason she did, was because she sensed the very thing she craved just beyond the doors. She held herself, her fingers trailing up her arms, and that was when she noticed the etchings engraved in her skin.
"...Wh...at?" She breathed, tracing the markings with her fingers. Her gaze went back to the open jail door, wanting so badly to get out and feast on the creatures outside, but she held back. "s**t." She cursed, flinching as a hunger pang tore through her body.
For now, she would explore her jail cell, in the off chance she missed something within.

Llyr had happily trailed along with everyone through the black door, expecting to see something amazing on the other side of it. It was with wide, expectant eyes that he stepped out into -
- something very much not amazing. It wasn't the temperature - he didn't mind the cold (water was usually cold), but the darkness was unpleasant and unhappy, and there were things glowing on his arms, things that hadn't been there before. Llyr looked down at them with a startled expression on his pale face, and he shook one arm experimentally as though this might help to get whatever it was off. When it didn't work, he stood there, looking confused and angry all at once.
"I don't like this anymore," he said decisively to no one, because there was no one here for him, no one but himself. Where had all of his new friends gone? Llyr felt his voice trembling slightly as he said quietly, flatly, "I want to go back to my room now, please."
That didn't happen, and the room grew colder, and Llyr himself grew hungrier and hungrier. He swayed where he stood, dizzy and anxious, and with each passing second, the hunger grew, gnawing at the inside of his stomach. He wanted to lay down and go to sleep, but he couldn't - the anxious feeling in his stomach was too much to even bear.
A loud clanking sound drew him out of his misery as the door swung open in front of him, and Llyr stumbled out with a gasp, his shaking hands sliding along the wall in an effort to keep vertical.
"I don't like this," he said again, in a voice that was decidedly hoarser than his normal smooth tones, and decidedly less vacant than normal. His eyes, which were normally spacey and vague, were surprisingly alert in spite of his hunched over figure.
"I don't like this, I want to leave, please."

Piper, still something a green horn in her early second year, still didn't seem to understand the consequences of going through very obviously evil doors. The darkness caught her off guard, but it was the runes that really made her balk. She was defaced without her permission! Her beautiful, painful tattoos, overlooked in favor of these ugly . . . and apparently energy draining . . . things . . .
She looked around, wide-eyed at the cell block and immediately getting a vague claustraphobic feeling. There were others there of course, but that didn't seem to matter. The darkness was very isolating, and her stomach was starting to feel like it was eating itself.
Someone wasn't taking it well, and hse couldn't help but try to take some pity on the boil. "Hey, hey, s'cool," Piper tried to soothe him with affected confidence. "It's creepy in here, but you're good, bro. Just take a deep breath. You feel okay?"

Gene hadn't expected it to come to this. What this was, however, she was pretty unsure of. She knew her arms had ruins etched into them, she knew the place she was in was a sort of prison, and she knew that her core was crying out in pain, begging to be fed.
The gates screeched and ground, boring a droning wave of sound into her ears. Clutching at her stomach, Gene slowly walked out of her cell, seeing silhouettes around the hall.
"H-hello? Sound off if you're, er, alive." She coughed, another craving sending spiders down her spine. FEAR... so... hungry.

Finding nothing of interest in the cell, Amrita left it, still holding herself tightly.
"I'm here too." She muttered to the group, the hunger getting more intense the closer she got to anyone in specific. It felt safer for now to just keep a distance from them, and thus she kept her back to a wall, peeking in any open cell doors she came across in her trek down one length of hallway.
"We're not sure what's going on...but it's not good." The patchwork lamented to the boil she didn't recognize as she passed him, peeking through the darkness at their surroundings.
"First, though, don't panic. We'll figure something out together." That was her hope anyway, and she did a fairly good job of keeping her tone level and calm, despite the gnawing hunger and the rising panic that the cages instilled. She had been in cages before, had her FEAR drained and sapped before...and it almost always ended terribly.
"We need to find a way out. I...I think I can see a door? Maybe? But..." How to open them - and if they were worth opening - was the question. In the darkness though, she thought she saw something, and followed it to see a pair of keys on the wall. Well...this was both promising, and way too obvious. Warning bells went off in her head, and so she settled for simply inspected the two keys on the wall.
