Here's how this will work...

The holidays are such festive times that we feel members should be allowed another thread in which they can participate in various games or share some festive stories. They can be fiction or they could be real experiences.

We will also be having a 'Question of the Day' where we will ask our members a question (or two) and see what everyone answers. I will also be taking the liberty of answering all of those questions myself, so you all can get to know me better. Want to submit a question for the campfire? Great! Just PM me and title your PM "Campfire QoD Question".

If I am absent for one day, (I'm hoping that I won't be.) then everyone gets an extra day to answer the previous question unless another one of the guild mods comes and changes it.

Rules and Guidelines

There are still some rules you must follow if you would like to participate in the Campfire. Don't worry, they're all simple rules.

~ Follow all of Gaia's ToS and the guild rules
Gaia and SDRP have made these rules for a reason.

~ Please keep this thread nice and organized!
Please don't have many long quote trees, and for huge pictures, please put them in a spoiler bar or include the link.

Word Game - Sing-Along!

Here is one of the games that SDRP has to offer in the Campfire thread. Basically, I will post the title of a holiday song, and anyone can post and follow up with one line of the lyrics. This might sound confusing to some, so let me break it down.

Step # 1: I will post the title of a holiday song.
For example, "Jingle Bells"

Step # 2: Someone else will come along and say the first line of the lyrics.
"Dashing through the snow"

Step # 3: Another person will come along and post the second line of the lyrics.
"In a one-horse open sleigh"

Step # 4:The cycle repeats as someone else post the next line of lyrics.
"O'er the fields we go"

Step # 5: The cycle goes on and on until the song is finished.

Step # 6: Then, whoever finished can post the title of a new song that they would like to have everybody sing.

If you don't know a line of lyrics, then feel free to look them up!

There are three rules that you must follow in order to participate in the sing-along.

~ Please do not double post!
Give others a chance to sing. Don't just keep on posting the lyrics to the song in separate posts.

~ Please use the appropriate lyrics to the song.
If we're singing "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", don't put the extra parts like "Join in any reindeer games Like monopoly!"

~ Do not harass or make fun of others for their song choice.
It's extremely rude, and I will not be tolerating it. If you break this rule, I will ask you to leave the campfire.

Completed Song Gallery

Here is the list of all of the songs that have been completed. Please do not choose one of these when picking a song because they have already been chosen and completed.

Story Guidelines

If you wish to share a story with others, please make sure that it is Pg-15! We do not want any drugs, alcohol, or sexual content. Also, make sure that it has to do with the holidays. I don't want stories about summertime pool parties.

Wall of Shame

The Wall of Shame includes all of the members that have been asked to leave the campfire. Tsk, Tsk.

- No one has committed any crimes so far, and I hope it stays that way throughout the scavenger hunt.

I absolutely love most of the Christmas music! It's so festive! Why must it only be played once a year?

I like pushing the people under the mistletoe into each other as well! Heh heh, I've played cupid in the past for some of my friends. Let's just say my tactics only have a 49.9 chance of success...

I'll probably dress mine up too in the very near future.

Yeah, it's playing on my radio. Only on one station, but that's better than not at all right?

With some practice, you get better. I got really lucky that time. Usually, I'm that way too.

By the way, I saw your status about Izaya. I love him and everything, but I'm trying to decide if he's better than Shizuo or Celty. I'm trying to decide the same thing for Shinra too. (I just finished episode seven by the way.)

I have too. They play a lot of good holiday songs, so I've been hooked on it lately. (Or singing my own for that matter.)

I haven't seen/read about Izaya'a backstory yet. My definition of 'better' would be like more compatible. In that case, I could relate more to Shizuo. I have the first two books in the manga if it's any consolation. XD

Mhm. But for mine they play the same songs over and over again. Not that they don't do that normally anyway. I guess that's radio for you. xD

You'd have to read about Izaya's backstory because they don't get to it in the anime (it's only covered in volume 9 of the novels, and the anime only go up to volume 3). Are you angry and are prone to throwing things at people? o: *backs away slowly*

Well, my radio somehow manages to change up all of the holiday songs, so I get a variety.

I dislike it when the anime's unfinished! Anyway, I'll definitely be sure to read all about Izaya-chan! (Yes, I'm calling him that now because I can.)
