Emery practically hopped around, his feet light as his heels clopped to some christmassy tune on the unfamiliar (and snow less) earth that surrounded the grounds of Amity. He had never been in such a place before, the deer reflected as his chocolate brown eyes surveyed the land. He was used to a white climate, a lot colder. How much of a JOY it was to have such an exchange of knowledge between professors of both lands! It was unheard of before now really, but he was all fired up to help these students be the best they could be.
And he would make sure they tried their hardest.
"Dasher, hurry up we cant be late on the FIRST day." He called out his pupils nickname, eyes glancing back because he was just a little behind. Only a little.
“Coming, coming!” called Douglas Dasher, stumbling after his mentor through what little snow had followed them from their journey. His arms were laden with boxes of supplies, so much so that the deer behind it was barely visible. It was much warmer here, far warmer than home, and balancing his parcels carefully in one arm, he loosened his scarf a little with the other. It didn’t help that he was overly excited to have been invited along, eager to be the best little helper he could be.
Halloweentown was strange, what with its dim and dark colors. Where were their festive lights, their trees and their snowmen? He clattered after Professor Emery Dancer, and as a little bit of glitter sifted from the boxes and onto the ground, he grinned – he was sure they could bring this place some holiday cheer.
"Don't spill the glitter everywhere!" Dancer piped in, pausing as he saw a patch of ground below their feet suddenly filled a bit more with cheer and sparkle. It looked odd really, against the damp darkness of the surrounding area. "After all i expect the students here will also get it everywhere eventually." Emery gave his pupil a smile, even if his wording seemed a bit harsh. He meant no harm by it, he just expected everyone, even Douglas, to be the best they could be.
Though perhaps he should have been helping with the boxes. He looked down into his arms, his single (small) box was practically dwarfed by the quantities that Dasher was carrying.
"We should deposit all this at our work table!" They they would be off to see who wanted to sign up. Who wouldn't want to? Part of the small box he held was a sign up sheet, and he expected many sign ups.
O' Pumpkin Tree Class
OOC INFO: - This class will last for roughly 10 days, one day for sign ups and a freebie day to make 12 days. - This class is the art of Ornament Decoration and finally Decorating the trees outside of Amityville School. - There will be minipet prizes, as well as chances at Joy Stamps at the end. - This thread is run by Lilwolfpard and Sammpai, feel free to quote/pm if you have any questions! - Have fun! <3
Sign ups are open until 10 PM EST on December 6th. If we feel sign ups should be open a little longer theres a chance they will be open a additional 24 hours! A short time later Prompt 1 should be released.

Douglas was packing away the leftover supplies and ornaments, and though he was used to using the joyful care that all reindeer used when handling Christmas supplies, a few of the ornaments cracked beneath his fingers, much to his dismay.
“Professor Emery,” he said, shuffling over to his mentor and holding up the cracked pieces of an ornament in his hand. “We ought to tell them to be careful, I think the Halloween decorations we bought were a little too much for them. My brother Fraser thought that something like this might happen, you know.”
"Hhmm." He stared at the fragments held our to him by Douglas thoughtfully. "Yeah, i was not expecting this... Maybe something with the climate changes?" He curious asked his pupil, wondering what the other deer might think on the subject at hand.
"At any rate..." His ears pricked up, turning towards the students, clapping his hands together to gather their attention. "It seems the ornaments may be fragile, check yours to see if it has cracks on it or not. They might be salvageable!" He turned towards the box, carefully digging around inside. "It seems some of these came out unbroken, if you want to try for a better one be my guest!"
Stage 3 Mechanics
Okay so... it seems that the Preyons did more than just color students various shades of the rainbow. They also made the ornaments a little more fragile than usual. If not the preyons well, maybe the fear in the air is chipping away at the joy. Either way, some of the ornaments are cracked.
So best be careful!
You already picked out a ornament so now its time to decorate them! Dont worry, if one breaks theres another to take its place!

Roll 1d4, look at the ornament you grabbed earlier to inspect it.
1- Perfect Ornament! 2- Stage 1 cracking... very minor. 3- Stage 2 cracking... a little worse. 4- Busted somehow, grab another. (Roll again)
If you wish to keep rolling until you get a perfect ornament, you are free to but you dont have to. There might be a chance at a prize at the end for those who do have a perfect ornament...
If you roll a perfect ornament please indicate below your post inbold redthat you have. If you do not post this in bold red, i will probably miss it and skip over you!

You have the option of coloring your own ornaments! Feel free to color, edit, ETC however youd like. You can make multiples on the different lines if you wish!
If you dont want to color one of the ornaments, you are free to write a description of your ornament instead!
If your ornament has cracking from the above rolls, there are different layers set to reflect that. Now i know not everyone has photoshop, so there is also the option of PNG's for other programs or for printing out and coloring.

Emery watched the scene from somewhat a distance, not hiding his amusement in the least about how there seemed to be an influx of rainbow students appearing left and right. How were they supposed to know that the preyons bite?
Thankfully Douglas seemed to come prepared, and was helping the bitten students. "Okay students! It seems most of the preyons are caught... thank you for that, by the way." Dancer tried to keep the laugh out of his voice, really he did....
"Those not being patched up by Dasher still, please come closer to the table."
Only then did he dare approach the scene. "You need more than just those for decorating ornaments," A hand wave at the empty preyon box. "We brought a few other things from our home world, and....hopefully less feisty things from your world, as supplies. So go on and pick a few!"
Only things seemed to be scattered everywhere.
Stage 2 Mechanics
Now that all the Preyons seem to be contained and behaving nicely(plus wounds covered with band-aids!), you need to pick your supplies! Only due to the preyon attack all the supplies are mixed up... so its anyones guess what you'll get!
Roll 1d4 to see which Ornament style you get to work with first. RP picking one!

Clicking his heels idly on the ground the rhythmic tune would probably only be recognized by his pupil, unless the people of halloween had a equivalent for 'Jingle Bells' too. Still he waited, and watched... and about the third time playing the tune on the ground, he nodded to himself. It seemed he was using the action as a sort of clock to judge the last few minutes. The reindeer's ears pricked around, soon followed by eye movements to be certain no one else was close by. Dancer had no problem with stragglers, but it seemed this was the final headcount.
"Okay, sign ups are officially closed!"
Taking the clip board from the last student Emery flipped it around and scanned the page briefly. "Wonderful! Now if you will please follow us, we will take you to the area we set up for the activity." A warm smile, followed by a quick turn as he touched Dashers shoulder lightly, indicating he should follow in the lead as well.
"Hip, hop, holly, let's go!" Douglas called, rounding up any straggling students as they followed Professor Emery through the trees. His arms were free of boxes this time, and as they neared their destination, it was clear where all the baubles and trinkets had gone. By a particular bountiful patch of pumpkin trees, several tables had been set up, an assortment of crafty supplies littering their tops, with no shortage of tinsel or glitter.
It was picturesque and perfect, a place set for every student. But as their group stepped towards the tables and trees, something growled from one of the leftover boxes. It seemed like some of the supplies weren't particularly happy at being left out, and they burst from the box with a color display, running rampant around the tables and snapping at any students that might try to get near.
"Oh!" Emery said, stopping as the sounds coming from the box also caused him to pause. He gave a quick glace towards his assistant, quirking an eyebrow asking a silent question.
Their crayons back home never did this!
He looked around at the mass of students that followed behind, forming an idea. "Do you guys mind rounding up these guys for us?" The students here might have experience with them, right?

Stage 1 Mechanics
It seems our two deers didn't realize that buying supplies in halloween town is not the same as their home world! The 'Preyons' (Crayons, respectively) decided to instead attack and try to eat all the other supplies! The preyons need to be stopped, only you are not allowed to actually 'attack' them! They break easily, and you need to use them to help you make ornaments.

To help out, roll 1d4. You need to capture a total of 3 Preyons! (Feel free to capture more if you'd like! Just please put a small RP blurb in each attempt.)
When you capture the minimum of three, please post you have finished the task in Bold Redat the bottom of your post!
1- You smack around one of the Preyons, dazing it making it a quick catch. +1 Preyon 2- You hit the preyon a little too hard. Breaking it in half, it vanishes with a squeak. 3- One of the preyons bites you! + 1 preyon *LOOK BELOW FOR SPECIAL EFFECT POST* 4- You accidentally step on a preyon, crushing it.
*SPECIAL EFFECT* If you are bitten by a Preyon, you suddenly feel a little funny. You soon find you are the same color the preyon that bit you was! Roll 1d10 to see which color you become. *NOTE* if bitten more than once you only need to roll this one time, because the first color is the color that stays!. This effect lasts 2 IC days!

Like any good reindeer, Douglas Dasher knew the importance of having a good First Sleigh’d Kit handy. He did have to wrestle it away from a few of the nastier looking Preyons but he came away triumphant, albeit a bit more colorful, waxy stripes of green and red smudged all over him.
“Students, students!” he called, sorting through the kit. “If you’ve been bitten, come over here and we can patch you right up.”
His little ears flicked excitedly as he handed out band-aids, pulling them randomly from the box.
“My brother Spruce always says, no pain, no gain, right? You’ll all be right as snow in no time.”
Well, rainbow snow, at least. He hadn’t a clue what to do about the colors.
First Sleigh'd Kit
If you've been bitten by a Preyon, you may roll 1d12 to see what color bandaid you get! This is entirely optional and just for fun. You may roll for as many times as you were bitten.
If you roll/get bitten after this post, that's a-ok! You are still welcome to roll for bandaids. If you weren't bitten, but would like a bandaid anyway, Dasher is sure he can spare one roll for you.

Catinka drifted in--literally and figuratively--and hung about for a while trying to be discreet, unwilling to take the initiative and be the first person to put her name on the list. When Llyr showed up she exhaled a sigh of relief and sidled up to him almost before he was done writing.
If it was possible to beam shyly, she did. "I like your hair," she informed him quietly as she wrote, in an effort to establish diplomatic relations early.

"It is magnificent," Piper piped in as she flounced in--it was far easier to project confidence when there weren't quite so many people around. Giving the boil an appreciative look over, the mage then tossed her own hair (which she had to painstakingly tend to prior to checked these classes out, lest the sudden snow cause unwanted frizzels) for them to admire next: a massive poof of blue and teal that almost made it seem like she was wearing an ornament already. A totally stylish ornament.
"But not as good as mine," she proclaimed as simple fact before moving to sign up. "Still, we're all pretty people here, and that's what matters~"

It took Llyr a moment to realize that someone was talking to him. He turned slowly (very slowly), the hair in question falling across his shoulders, which were currently clad in a truly terrible sweater that seemed to be at least three sizes too big for him; the sleeves went past his hands.
He beamed at her, then reached up and plucked two flowers from the crown atop his head, holding one out towards the both of them.
"Pretty," he said brightly, though it was unclear what exactly this was in reference to.

"Excuuuuuse meeee!" Came a loud and giggled announcement as one hoody hidden form entered and made it's way to sign up. After scooting in past the other bodies and writing his name down in decorate letters, Tavi fled to a spot with more room. Stretching out his hands lifted to pop the hood off his head and reveal two fuzzy twitching ears. Settled, Tavi flashed a smile to those around before pocketing his hands on a chill.

Vanya made her way to the classroom; standing in the doorway where she eyed the occupants for a few seconds before making her way inside. The coat she had previously warn had been discarded and now, barely clothed save for underwear and a bra that appeared to be made of feathers; and the same scarf of blue and silver, the ghoul made her way to the group in time to join in on the conversation of hair.
She had opened her mouth to speak before the cry from the doorway interrupted her and she turned to look at the boil with a soft frown. Taking the pen from him, she jotted down her name. She flicked her hair, letting it fall over her shoulders; the bells she wore jingling with the movement before she offered her fellow students a soft smile. "Hey," greeted with a small hand wave. "I'm Vanya."

Ruth arrived in the class at the tail end of the other student's conversation, but she got there in time to hear the talk about everyone being pretty people and she couldn't help but let out a snort that was half amused and half disbelieving. And it just so happened that neither half was particularly soft but the smirk on her face suggested she didn't really care if they heard her or not.
Tree decorating sounded simple enough. It was all just going to be a matter of taste, wasn't it? The smirk widened to an excited leer, this was going to be very fun. Something about the fuzzy-eared boil seemed to harken to a certain purple fox ghoul Ruth had met at the Maul, and maybe that was why the blonde reaper sidled up to him. Not outright drawing his attention, but he might be able to notice her presence if he paid enough attention. Plus, there was that other ghoul with a rather commanding presence.

Sophie peeked into the classroom from the outside, simply poking her head in the door. She fiddled with the sleeves of her sweater, nibbling her bottom lip and shuffling a little before she took a deep breath and took a step inside. She quickly scribbled her name on the sign up sheet - something that was hard for her since it was in the middle of the group of students. She looked at them and offered halfhearted awkward smiles before she took a step back and stood on the outskirts of their group.
The ghoul's hands found one of her pigtails and she stroked it gently, letting out a little sigh. She was getting better - she could meet one new person at a time; but a whole group was a little more than she was prepared for. So she stood there awkwardly staring at them all.
