Jubilee had been excited about teaching in Halloween Town ever since she was first informed of her participation in the cultural exchange between their two Holiday worlds. Sure, like all Gingerbread Men and Women, she grew up listening to the tale of how dear Santa was kidnapped to Halloween once upon a time, but that story ended on a really joyful note! Besides, while she was a little nervous about being in a foreign land, she got some local help, which should make her life much easier!
She arrived at the guest lecture hall hours before the class was due to start, checking the equipment before putting up strings of colorful Christmas lights. By the time she was done, there were Christmas lights along the walls, on the ceiling, and even secured onto some of the baking equipment. She even used the lights to spell out 'WELCOME' on one of the walls. Everything looked bright and cheery and beautifully festive - the way she liked it.
Now, to wait for potential students to walk through that door...

"Hello class! I'm Jubilee Joy, and you may call me Miss Jubilee! I'm from Christmas Town, and I'm absolutely ecstatic to be here! I asked a favor from an old friend to come help me out, but he's real busy, so he sent someone else - a little girl named Hel!" She smiled, gesturing at the reaper in question.
Hel, who was sitting off to the side with a pile of candy canes and currently sharpening one of them into a shiv, looked up as her name was mentioned. She wrinkled her nose and made a face at being called ‘little girl’ but said nothing about it for the time being. She gave a nod of her head to the students and mouthed a ‘yo’ before she went right back to what she was doing with a small smirk.
Oh, someone sent her alright…and she had a job to do.
"I hope you can make the both of us feel welcomed today!" Jubilee beamed, practically bouncing on the spot as she picked up the large mixing bowl on the table in front of her, oblivious to the fact that a couple of students were looking at her like she was a walking snack, "Right! We'll be making gingerbread cookies! In Christmas town, all the houses are made from lovely, lovely gingerbread, so it's a recipe of extreme importance! Isn't it just sooooo exciting, children?"
At some point Hel stopped making weapons out of Christmas confectionary to watch what Jubilee was up to. In fact, the reaper looked a little too interested as she rested her chin in her hand, which also helped to cover up the majority of her growing smirk.
"First, we are going to preheat the oven!" She explained, walking over to the ovens that had been built into the wall. Noticing Hel looking her way, she beamed, "Oh! I see that Miss Hel seems interested in this next part... Are you curious to see how well they work? You did play a big part in their installation, after all!" Taking a closer look at the ovens, however, Jubilee quickly realized that they looked very different from the ones she picked out from the Halloween kitchen appliances catalog...
"Um, well... This is new! I thought the plan was for the latest ovens to be installed? Miss Hel, why didn't you tell me that the plan fell through? O-oh, how embarrassing..." She laughed nervously, fiddling with the knobs on the side of the oven door, trying to figure out the mechanics. When nothing happened, she frowned, fiddling with the door.
“Oh…ya…uh…the school budget is rather tight right now…because of the House Cup and all…” Hel replied idly, and then immediately clamped that hand over her mouth to smother the snickering that happened once the teacher opened up the oven-
-and a jet of fire shot out from inside, singeing Jubilee's hair, and causing her to scream in fright, "OVERCOOKED! HELP! I'M GOING TO BE OVERCOO-" Remembering that she was in a room full of students, however, she quickly calmed down, her body shaking as she inhaled and exhaled several times. Forcing a smile, she pumped a hand in the air, and loudly exclaimed, "I'm Jubilee Joy, and I'm fine!"
Embarrassed, she avoided eye-contact, and cautiously peered into the oven. Her expression was frozen in a mixture of fear and disbelief as she very slowly turned to address the audience again, "T-there's a small d-dragon in this oven..." Laughing nervously, she walked over to the next oven, taking care to open the oven door slowly before looking inside - where she found a pair of eyes staring back, "O-oh! We appear to h-have two faulty o-ovens..." She smiled, her hands trembling as she walked down the roll of ovens, picking a random one to check, "There's... A small d-dragon here t-too... H-how do these ovens w-work? Let me... L-let me..."
Too stunned to consider asking Hel anything, Jubilee stumbled over to her table, and picked up a phone that had been given to her upon her arrival in Halloween. It took her a while to figure it out, but she was soon able to search "How to operate an oven with a dragon inside" using a built-in search engine. Her face turned pale as she read the instructions, and she looked like she was about to faint as she put the phone back down on the table.
"W-well!" She continued to smile, although it was wavering, "According to... What do you call it here? The Interweb? You're supposed to feed the small oven dragon some live bait..."
“Oooooooh ya….forgot to mention that…” Hel replied cheerfully. “Special ovens…those are a really unique but rare brand…really sought after in Halloween…” The reaper informed as she nudged a metal cage further under the desk she was seated at to better conceal it.
That fake web page about dragon ovens really paid off.
"T-thank you for getting such special ovens, Miss Hel... B-But... No, no, no... We wouldn't want to go on the naughty list and receive... That thing, right?" She shuddered at the thought; that word was so foul that she couldn't even bring herself to say it, "We will feed it candy instead! Feed it till it's producing heat of 175! You can check on the thermometer beside the oven door... If it's not producing the amount of heat you want, press the red button, and that will reset the temperature. K-keep trying! You can do it!"

THE JOY STAMP CHALLENGE
Keep in mind that you can only redeem Joy Stamps with ONE CHARACTER throughout the Christmas Event, so pick wisely! Joy Stamps can be redeemed here! In this class, there will be Joy Stamp Challenges every "part" for a shot at winning 1 out of 20. Remaining Joy Stamps will be distributed via raffle to all active participants (excluding those who already won one) at the end of each part.
This part's challenge: If you managed to pass the 10d8 roll on your very first roll (that is, get 1, 7, and 5 as one of your 10 numbers on roll #1), quote Dragain and I will confirm your Joy Stamp win. If you have multiple characters in this class, since this is the FIRST challenge, I suppose you do sort of get more than one "first roll", but... Understand that if you claim a Joy Stamp from this challenge using that character, you will have to use that character to claim all future Joy Stamps for the duration of this Christmas Event! Fill in your post before you quote me please <3
Watching the students preheat the ovens calmed her nerves, and by the time they were ready to proceed, Jubilee was no longer trembling. On the other hand, as things calmed down, Hel went back to sharpening more candy canes. It was pretty neat, how this Christmas-y treat could be like a shiv… But if it was in the hands of something smaller, well then, it’d be like a spear! That was a fun thought…
"Now that the ovens are all being preheated, we can make the cookie dough!" Jubilee giggled to herself, having recovered from the earlier scare. Pouring all the ingredients that had been laid out on the table - flour, spices, butter, brown sugar, molasses, egg - into a large mixing bowl, she then held it in one hand before grabbing the whisk in another, "Step one is easy peasy~ I've already measured it all out for you - if you are curious about the measurements, they are on the board - so all you have to do is to combine all the ingredients in your mixing bowl, and whisk, whisk, whisk! Work it! Work those arm muscles! Put some elbow grease into it! Stop only when a stiff dough is formed... Like so~"
She lowered the bowl back onto the table, reached in, and pulled out a ball of dough, putting it on the floured table top.
"Knead it just enough to get the dough together, wrap it up in plastic wrap," She demonstrated each step before walking over to the fridge shared by everyone in the room, "And then put it into the fridge to rest and chill... Now, it's your turn to work!"
OOC INSTRUCTIONS
Roll 1d12; continue rolling until you get at least 30 in total to get the desired cookie dough! Fill in all RP posts! Unfilled posts will not be eligible for Joy Stamps! Once you get your desired total, RP your student wrapping it up in plastic wrap, and putting it in the fridge. Please use this form at the bottom of your post to help me keep track of scores:

This part's challenge: The 20 people with a total mixing score closest to 30 will win a Joy Stamp! In the event where there is a tie between players, I will use a raffle as the tie-breaker. For players with multiple students, please indicate which student you are using for the claiming of Joy Stamps with an OOC note since you can only claim with one student; if you had already won a Joy Stamp in the previous round, I'm going with the student you claimed for [Vanya (Lolly), TK (Syu)].
"Now that your cookie dough is resting, I will show you how to shape the cookies!" She walked over to the fridge, and took out the dough she had prepared earlier. Unwrapping it from the plastic wrap, she lightly dusted the table top with flour, and then rolled the dough out using a rolling pin, "There should be enough dough for you to make one big cookie for yourself! If you don't want to do the cookie cutters, feel free to take a knife, and cut a shape out yourself!"
Around the students were various cookie cutters, although most of them had more Christmas than Halloween themes - reindeer, presents, Christmas trees, snowflake outline, ornaments, snowman, mistletoe, and of course, the traditional gingerbread man and woman shapes.
"Once you are happy with the shape, place them on the cookie tray, and pop them into the oven to bake!" She continued, transferring her cookie - in the shape of the great Santa Claus, except that instead of a red hat, it had what appeared to be a crown on his head - onto the cookie tray, and then (warily) putting it into the oven, "Remember to set the timer to 10 minutes!"
Jubilee played some music from Christmas Town as the cookies were baking (it was like being in a mall during December), and once the timer on her oven went off, she put on a pair of kitchen gloves, and took the cookie tray out. The Santa-shaped gingerbread was baked perfectly, and she beamed proudly as she moved it off the tray, and onto a cooling rack. It took a while for everyone's cookie to finish baking, so Jubilee led everyone in making royal icing - the best type of icing to go on gingerbread. By the time the royal icing was done, all the cookies were out of the oven and cooled, and ready to decorate.
"You have half an hour to do the decorating, so take your time, and do your best!" She cheered, making sure everyone had gone to work before she decorated her own cookie, giving it a white, fluffy beard with white icing, and filling in its "clothing" with red, white, and black icing. Then, she used red icing and edible glitter on the crown. Stepping back, she smiled at her own masterpiece, looking at it fondly.
By this time, the reaper had a hefty pile of sharpened candy canes, seemingly crafted out of boredom, since nothing else exciting was going on at the moment. She deposited the pile, carefully as to not poke herself, near Jubilee’s work station since she really had no where else to put them and then appeared behind the teacher to peer at her creation. “Oh, bitchin’! It is Sandy Claws! Here—“ She reached and plucked out a sharpened candy cane from the pile she made, and then place it into the cookie’s ‘hand’. “Ha! Now it is like a scepter, ya?” Hel grinned.
"Yes, very much so, Miss Hel!" Jubilee replied with a cheerful laugh, looking at the cookie once more... Huh? Wait... Huh...
She laughed nervously to herself, tucking her hair behind her hair; it must be all this Fear in the air, doing weird things to her Joy-filled brain. Or maybe she's just tired - a lot of things had happened, and now that the class was coming to an end, she was feeling pretty lethargic, and in need of a nice warm cup of peppermint chocolate, with tiny marshmallows floating on the top...
OOC INSTRUCTIONS
Describe + UNDERLINE OR BOLD the shape/decoration that your student had decided on for the cookie; for example, you could have them make the shape of a cat, dog, spider, train, car, horse, triangle, present, etc! No dice rolling! So easy! Much simple! Wow! You can be as descriptive as you like; you can also be straight to the point (the shape of a horse, decorated with pink stripes using royal icing, etc), and I'll be happy with it! OPTIONAL: You may draw it out/find a picture off the internet, but put it in spoiler tags to avoid stretching the page! In case you don't know what the code for spoiler tags is...

This is the only category that requires a drawing/craft/real life baking. - 7 winners: Raffled among all participants who did not win anything; if there is a lack of winners in other categories, prizes will shift here! As this will take some coordination between Al and myself, results will probably have a day's delay; please be patient while we sort things out! <3 For players with multiple students, please indicate which student you are using for the claiming of Joy Stamps with an OOC note since you can only claim with one student; if you had already won a Joy Stamp in previous rounds, I'm going with the student you claimed for [Vanya (Lolly), TK (Syu)].

Muka was the first to sign up for a class that had to do with food. He wasn't a very good cook himself but he was a good eater. The rotund strix giggled as he saw the teacher for the first time. She was so.... delicious looking.
With wide gold eyes he stared her down, waved, and snapped his teeth idly. He was already hungry. "Hellooooo..." he giggled.

With her guest pass clutched nervously in her mint-green painted fingers, Catinka stepped hoof in her very first Amityville classroom. Mostly she'd just hung around the hallways, bewildered by the snow and the activity, delighting quietly in the sudden abundance of bells. She fit right in that respect, her earrings jingling as she slipped over to put her name on the list, watching Muka sideways (and upwards--she was quite petite) and offering him up a tiny, watery smile. She apparently saw nothing odd in his behavior.
Muka heard the jingling before it arrived, not realizing it was different than the standard Christmas decor until the bells had entered the room. His head tilted to grin at the guest student.
"Oooohh... heh.." He waggled his fingers. "A guest?" He hopped a bit, perching on the seat of his chair with odd lightness for a boil of his size in very pointy heeled shoes.
"My name is Muka!" He patted the chair next to him with a taloned hand. "Tell me of.. heh.. yourself!"

Lihua stepped inside her classroom and found a good seat in the back to sit down at. She was very excited for the holidays and all that it had to bring. She couldn't wait to see what the school had to offer for the holidays. She didn't mind the classes that were being offered and anything to keep her busy was good for her. She sighed and signed her name on the list. She saw that she was the third person to sign up for the class. She wasn't sure about her cooking skills. No one ever told her if she was good at it or not. Hopefully she can learn some new things at this class.
"My name's Tink," she said shyly, sitting down as indicated without a trace of fear or mistrust. Her hooves--also painted--swung to and fro. "I like your shoes," she said suddenly, although just as quietly. "I can't wear shoes, you know, but there are so many cute ones. There was a ghoul outside in yellow boots. Yellow! I wish I could have yellow boots."

With his head tilted downward so that he could stare resolutely at the ground and not directly at anybody, Mathias entered the classroom, booted feet clomping against the floor. Out of the corners of his eyes he could see lights, and bright, disorienting colors that decorated this room, and what seemed to be most of Amityville right now. It was truly awful, though at least he did not particularly mind the weather too much. Snow and cold were different, but for a creature whose natural form was covered in fluff, it was not a big deal.
Making his way up one of the rows, the wolpertinger plopped himself down in one of the chairs, then set his hands on top, threading his fingers together and tapping his thumb claws as though impatient, with a small scowl on his face.
He really wasn't much for actual schoolwork, but learning to bake spookies, even gingerbread ones, might prove to be a useful skill.
Someday.
....Maybe.

Helmut followed her nose in to this particular class, sniffing the air all the way through the hallways until her tiny booted feet brought her into the class room. With a gingerbread teacher. She stared at the teacher through the eye socket of her large skull helmet, wanting to go closer to see if the delicious smell was actually radiating off of her, and yet too nervous to go any closer on her own accord. Instead she linked her fingers and pressed them so tightly over her rumbling stomach that they entirely disappeared into the multiple layers of her oversized clothes.
So she opted to cast quick glances at the students around her, two of whom she didn't recognize but one...well, she knew him, which meant she naturally gravitated in his direction. And sat beside him, staring at his posture for a moment before mimicking it until she too was sitting with her hands linked together, thumbs tapping each other. The only difference was, she wasn't antsy to get started.
"Psssst!" She hissed in a whisper, leaning over to get Matty's attention, just in case. "Hi! Did you notice it was snowing? Snow! In Amity!" As her mind went in a very different direction her pose melted, no longer mimicking him, but now holding her chin in her hands to stare dreamily at the ceiling. "Just like home~" She let out a happy sigh, unfortunately punctuated with a very loud and hungry growl from her stomach.
