Then: "Step away from the woman, I will not warn you again!" Yelled one of the four police officers, all guns pointed at the figure whose back was to them. The woman scrambled back and away, screaming from the seeming crazed man. The man spoke not a word, just approached her with a weird walk, as if he was unaccustomed to the muscles and bones inside of his own body.

"Ma'am, get down!" Called another officers, fed up with the man not listening. The woman did as told and dropped to the floor, just as bullets exploded from the gun and into the stranger towering above her. The man's form shook from the impact of each bullet before falling forward and lifeless on the ground, his face mere inches from the girl's leg. All of them began to relax, the woman even sighed in relief, but that was just before the man's hand grabbed her leg, pulled it towards him, and he sank his teeth into her tender flesh. A blood curdling scream attacked the police's ears, and one lucky officer managed to shoot the man's head without hurting the woman any more. "Get an ambulance, now! What the hell... How many bullets did we shoot into him?!" The police officer spoke more to himself than to anyone else. He rushed over to the girl and investigated her leg. A nice chunk had been removed, almost like a shark had attacked her.

"W-what the hell, why did he attack me? Why did he bite me? My leg, it burns!" The girl screamed, agony obvious in her voice and in the tremors of her body. By the time the ambulance finally arrived, the girl had gone limp and her eyes rolled back into her head.

Now: It all happened so fast, starting from few incidents where civilians began to attack one another. Reports of drug abuse and crazy toxicology reports tried to cover the truth. People were getting infected, dying, and their reanimated corpses were feasting on warn flesh. It didn't matter if it was human or not, but the humans were the only things that seemed to come back from the dead. If you could even say there was anything that came back at all. With the outbreak spreading like wildfire, the citizens fled to the city of Haven's only exit, a bridge off the island. Congested and quarantined, Haven has become a spawning ground for the undead. Rumors that the city is beyond saving and the military intend to "cleanse" the entire city with an airstrike have begun to spread.

Survival Plan: There isn't much time, find fellow survivors and make your way to the bridge. If you're lucky enough to convince the military personnel you're not infected you just might get out alive before the entire city is leveled.

Quality over quantity, but I can't saying that I won't be put out if you only post one paragraph each post. I'm sorry but three SOLID paragraphs are a must per post. I understand each person gets writing block, but you have to give something for others to work with...Descriptions fluff, and past history is nice but actions and such help the rp move.

Pretty pictures and posts and post formats are a plus. Pictures of real people. No anime this time!

Everyone has their quirks, it makes people so damn interesting. We like different characters. Mary Sues, and Gary Stus are all rp'ers bane of existence. So we shall meet this point very shrewdly, we not only welcome all sexual preferences and races, but we beg for some change. That also means there are already five pan-sexuals, don't send us another one please. If we have six Caucasian charries, and only one latino character. Send us some color of some kind, your preference of course. Speaking of differences, everyone must have a flaw! Make your characters interesting! Alcoholism, anger issues, overly sensitive, close minded, ADD, rude, lacks manners, untrusting, there's so many to choose from, make your character legit! Make them original! Make your characters interesting. Not everyone has a sob story background, in fact..honestly I would like to personally discourage those. I lived a pretty crappy childhood myself, I've got police records, child protective records, and legal court documents that shows a nice picture of my childhood and my father's indiscretions and my mother's mental issues. So seriously, please don't make me sit through finding out you have some terrified little stressed girl. One who cuts herself, was raped by her father or brother, and shoplifts and such. Just make them layered, no one is perfect. Just as no one is inherently evil, give them weaknesses, strengths, hopes, dreams, motivation, and keep their talents realistic to their role please. Most everyone isn't a commando hero, even a Leader will have his own issues to grapple.

We like conflict in the roleplay but do not take it into the OOC. Also, you will treat every member of the rp with respect otherwise you are out of here. You can be the Fitzgerald of roleplaying, but if you are an a*****e to the other rpers you can pack your bags and get. No offense to anyone, but rping is supposed to be fun. So lets keep this warm and friendly, and treat everyone with respect. Okie Dokies?

Last of all this is a site that allows kids on here, which means for romance, which is encouraged, shouldn't violate the rules of Gaia. I don't want anyone in trouble because people got nasty and didn't listen to me.! It's time for killing zombies, but don't get unrealistic.

Please frequent the OOC. Oh! And I almost forgot, I would like it if you posted at least every three days or so. I understand people get busy, and it's understandable if you are waiting for someone else. This is just a rough timeline for me. But remember, the sooner you post is great, but well thought out posts are even better. Violating this rule will potentially result in your character dying a humiliating death.

In regard to NPC's, they're other people you may encounter in the RP, they are survivors that can join your group or be zombie chow depending on how the story plays out.

Haven's deputy. James has always enjoyed the busy life of growing up in a bustling city. His father was also a police officer, so it only made sense that he would follow in his footsteps. The occupation offered plenty of intrigue to spark his interests and thirst for adventure without need to actually go out of town to find it.

Her first language was Hebrew (though English closely followed) and as a result her choice of words doesn't always convey the message she's trying to get across. Since she's moved back to America she's worked in the field of animal care ( "pets are everywhere in the world, you can always find work taking care of fluffy cuties!" ). Ally isn't actually any sort of psychic, but the girl's always had a knack for calculating probability, which is how she got the nickname. That is, until the outbreak occurred.
