Erionda stared up at the expansive hole before her. She remembered standing here many moons ago with her mate. Kicking off of the Hastar she had caught only a few moons before his return the hybrid's mismatched eyes searched the opening. No footprints. She was sure this was the same cave as before. Perhaps the world had twisted and dissolved any trace that they had even been here. A serene peace settled over Erionda as she felt both Uassae and Lanzecki at her side. Now would be the perfect time to attempt the cave alone. Perhaps this time she would be able to try alone? Maybe bring back Killian some Diabi orbs. Something about the way he froze up as the fought the last one had left a heavy pain on her heart.
I don't think we are alone Uassae rumbled into Erionda from across the strong bond they shared.
Erionda turned to find a Drakein approaching from a distance. "If they wish to join us, then they may follow. But I don't want to wait out here." Erionda shrugged as she moved into the mouth of the cave.
Kioda angled towards the right. Her wings beating as she pushed herself forward. She had to see that hybrid again. Make sure she was alright, their last meeting had been far to brief and she wanted to get to know the strange creature better. Unlike most of the filthy blood thirsty birds this one didn't seem to want to harm any Drakein. According to what she could remember, Erionda claimed to have been given the first egg. Uassae he was called. While she had saved the second from a selfish black market trader.
The Ysali Drakein couldn't help but wonder if the medal the young woman had won was worth it. Like Grrel she wasn't fond of the ones who took advantage of those who enslaved her kind. But the way Erionda took care of her two. Even calling them companions, family, friends. The only ones she could rely on. Kioda had calmed down somewhat towards the girl. Giving her the benefit of the doubt. This would also be the best opportunity to check up on them as well.
Reaching the sands of Eowyn the large Drakein roared. Erionda seemed to be heading off in a strange direction away from her hidden home. Both Lanzecki and Uassae where in the air. This was a subtle but welcome change. It seemed the young hybrid no longer relied on the Aeduan Drakein for transportation. Wisking by both Drakein Kioda landed not far from Rio. A trumpet in greeting before following Rio into the cave. Her teal eyes watching the world around her. She had once seen a place like this but was sure it was only a dream.
Sam had left them without much thought. Mae didn't mind too much, especially since the brown Drakein didn't seem to keep the best of company... Especially that Grrel girl. She was quite the meany. The exchange had left him weary of Eowyn's residents. But he'd come here to train, and he wouldn't let that deter him. He walked along with Darke, having no where in particular to go, but knowing they'd run into trouble before too long... As expected, his thoughts were answered with a roar. The Orderite cast his gaze up to see a green Drakein flying overhead, to land near the cliffside near him. Mae was surprised to see a girl there, surrounded by... three Drakeins, once the one overhead had landed.
Mae gasped in surprise. It seemed dangerous for anyone with two legs to take on so many Drakeins by themselves. "C'mon, Darke!" Mae shouted, running off towards the woman. As he drew closer, he realized that, despite her light skin, she wasn't an Orderite... and none of these Drakeins seemed like they were attacking her... He paused before the group, suddenly feeling alert and threatened. Darke didn't have his hesitance. Despite how rude some of them could be, Drakeins were still extremely interesting to him. He curiously approached the more aquatic-looking Drakein, sniffing at his strange tail.

Erionda tore into the cave with enthusiasm. If memory served her correctly the first few floors in the cavernous maze were nothing but a cake walk. Silly little Ysali dragons. Thinking they had any chance against her ice. Mentally giggling at the silly creatures and the images of their shocked expressions she couldn't help but feel a little blood thirsty. Killing dragons was a favorite past time. A great way to relieve stress, and the perfect way to repay their kind for the horrible life they had given her. It was their fault her parents were slaughtered. Their fault she had grown up alone. Their fault for so much suffering. Not that the war between all the races had helped that fact in any way.
Sniffing Uassae gave a turn of his head. Tilting it to the side curiously. He had motioned with a wing a simple hello to Kioda. His blue eyes trained on the newly approaching Drakein. His pupils shrinking into slits as he watched it's approach. Let it sniff him. "Did anyone tell you you're strange..." Flicking his tail away he turned to face the new comer square on. "Where you following me for something? I'm bonded, and have no interest in any mating." Uassae was hesitant to welcome the new Drakein near, but didn't want to chase it off. Perhaps, just maybe. It would have some tasty information for him to absorb. Maybe he carried news from another Part of Eowyn.
Lanzecki dropped to the ground. Chattering angerly at Uassae, eventually shifting into a growl as he noticed the distracted Drakein. "Stupid You-say! Lazkey not good flight." Stomping his two front feet defiantly the lighter Keindred turned to face Kioda. "Long no see. You come to Rio?" Ruffling his wings to pull them tight against his side Lanzecki nodded towards the first floor of the cave. "Be fast. She deadly." He nodded his eyes turning towards a strange approaching Orderite. Squeaking Lanzecki tore off into the cave squealing Erioinda's name letting his voice echo into the rocks around him.
Erionda paused as her finger touched the Ysali dragon. Turning to look back at Lanzecki as he burst into the cave. The pressure against her finger shattering into ashes as three orbs dropped to the ground. Sighing Erionda placed her hands on her hips. "What is it Lanzecki?" Erionda questioned. Rolling her eyes at the dramatic companions approach.
"Kioda here! Blood thirsty outside." Stepping forward he sniffed at one of the orbs before picking it up and pawing at the other two. Mentally sending images of the Orderite outside.
Erionda raised an eyebrow in response. Uassae invite Kioda to join us. I would like to fulfill a bargain and gain her some Ysali. The words filling the bond between Drakein and Hybrid. Turning her eyes back to the two settled orbs reaching out to accept the one picked up by Lanzecki. Mind Checking on this blood thirsty bird Lanzecki speaks of. From the way the orbs dropped. It looks like we have company through this cave tonight.
Uassae snorted in response to Erionda's words. Turning his head in the opposite direction. His eyes searching the sands for any hint of what Rio had mentioned. "Unless you're bonded." Raising his head with a superior gesture Uassae visibly looked about. "If you are. Where is your bonded?"
First die: If the number is 1-2, you encounter a Ysali dragon. If the number is 3-4, you encounter an Ayrala dragon. Second die: If the number is 1, nothing happens and you fight as normal. If the number is 2, you manage to feel very lucky and get a 10% bonus to your luck chance. [So if your normal luck range is normally 61-100, it is now 51-100. You cannot go below 6-100, though.] If the number is 3, nothing happens and you fight as normal. If the number is 4, you have encountered a Silx instead of a dragon. See "Creatures" below to see stats. You still fight just like in a dragon hunt, only against the creature instead of a dragon. This room is not as well lit as the previous room, but you can still see well enough to see the whole room. There, across the room once again, is your opponent.
Kioda smiled. She was accustomed to the strange way both Drakein responded and the way Erionda liked to rush head first into battle. The hybrid sure seemed confident in battle. Much more than she did in conversation. Nodding after Lanzecki as he moved off she eyed the Drakein near Uassae but gave little interest in him. Something just didn't seem right. Almost like he wasn't much different from Uassae. Perhaps her gut instincts could be wrong. Preening in front of both males flirtatiously Kioda pranced into the cave after Lanzecki. Her eyes fell automatically upon the two orbs in the center of the room. Surrounded by dust of the dragons remains.
"As usual a fast defeat. Just don't turn that power on me any time soon." Purring Kioda reached out to gather up one of the orbs. Expecting Rio to bend down and pick up the other one. Licking her muzzle Kioda turned to Erionda. Watching her orb with interest. Almost as if she had experienced this very moment before within a dream. Her mind floating the same way it had then. She would offer any other orb in exchange for any and all Ysali orbs Erionda would be willing to part with.

Maeron approached the group in the cave, weary but curious. For the girl to be surrounded by so many Drakein and still not be attacked, she must be bonded, like he was. That and probably pretty strong too. His last encounter with someone like himself hadn't gone that swimmingly, and he found that he hadn't been particularly impressed with either of them. But as he watched this woman tear through a Ysali like nothing, he gaped at her. She was definitely not like them. Even Sam hadn't had that kind of strength. And they'd trained together for quite a while. It would be much more profitable to learn battle from another two-legger like himself than it would be from any Drakein. Still, she was a hybrid... It wouldn't surprise him if she was viscous to anyone except Drakeins.
His teal orbs landed on her. "Hello." He greeted a bit stiffly. His gaze wandered around the cavern. Where had that Dragon even come from...? Ysalis weren't native to Eowyn, unless... This was that cave. The cave full of Dragons! He'd read about it, of course. This girl must be here to take it on.
Meanwhile, Darke turned his skeptical stare away from Uassae. He didn't seem so bad, but he wasn't particularly friendly, either. "I'm with Mae." The blue-feathered Keindred snorted, hardly amused by the 'mating' comment. The youngster plodded over to swipe his feathered tail against the Orderite's legs, knocking him forward a pace or two.

"A Mae is a creature I've never heard of before. But we are hunting. Impose if you must. But don't expect much." Uassae gave a snorting noise as air rushed out of his nostrils. Turning he flicked his tail and started towards Erionda before turning to look back at the new visitor. "Well. Coming?"
"Ysali fall far to quickly and pose no challenge. I came seeking the Diabi down here. Not only must I pay them back. I need their orbs. For someone. Perhaps it will cheer him..." Erionda trailed off as the sound of footsteps broke her speech. Her head jerking towards the entrance, her hand instinctively swept to the hilt of her sword. Her mismatched eyes narrowed in the sunlight of the caves mouth.
Flinching as Uassae entered the cave behind the intruder. Erionda mocked her defense with a swipe of her hand. Brushing her hair over her shoulder. Her ice blue tear drop earrings and necklace catching the sunlight and glinting against the stone of the cave. Was this just another human who could magically tell she was a hybrid? Had this one come to exact some sort of revenge? Tell her she had no place wandering where she did? Her hair wasn't enough of a give away, she was sure of that. She had seen other Dovaa die their hair various colors including a male with pink. Not to mention her sword had yet to be drawn her shield out of view.
The hybrid bit her lower lip. She could not make out any details of the stranger. All she could see with the sun against it's back was a dark shadow with little to no hint of race. Placing a hand on her hip Erionda smirked. Perhaps she could play this simple. Be a Dovaa, that was unless word had spread to this one as well. Or it had been at the crowning ceremony where she had been subject to everyone's scrutiny and given a medal that granted her access to the celestial plan and the Orderites main city with no hassle.
"You better step out of the light. I can't see you well and Oblivionites don't fair well against the Ice of a Dovaa."
Uassae nudged his companions side before turning to Lanzecki. "Did you bring the Hastar? Or do we have to go back and get it?"
"You-say foul mood. Killian ok. Give up fight." Raising his head to press his snout into the air Lanzecki pranced out of the cave with the orb in his maw.
The older Drakein watched after the younger as he pranced out of sight. Shaking his head he turned to the Female Ysali. "You must be pleased of the plunder."

"And the day I change will be a day we practice a fight against one another, I'll make my final form. You just wait and see." Kioda beamed turning to the entrance ignoring the rest of Rio's conversation. Her teeth barring into a snarl. Her body tensing as she searched the light figure. A blood thirsty bird. She had met an interesting Drakein during one recent war that enjoyed the taste of the blood thirsty birds. Perhaps if she presented him with a fresh kill there would be a chance for some fun.
Her claws racked across the ground with agitation. Her eyes turning to Erionda as she spoke. Was this hybrid actually going to entertain that creature? Her eyes boring into the back of the girls head. Oblivionite? Couldn't she smell the color? It was far to bright to be an Oblivionite. Shaking her head with annoyance Kioda slammed her tail against the ground. "A blood thirsty pup like that has no place in Eowyn. Nor in your presence Erionda. Uassae. Shall we have some fun with the next room?"
Waiting for Uassae's response Kioda burst forward leaving the two leggers to their business while she stalked her next prey. Another Ysali. Kioda's heart jumped with adrenaline. Her wings flared as she shot forward. Her magic pulling the roots from the ground. Trapping the green dragon in place as her teeth dug deep into the neck of the creature. Ripping and tearing at the unsuspecting beast. The sound of three orbs hitting the ground and the give of death in her mouth was pleasurable to Kioda.
Lowing to her rump, Kioda turned to look at the previous room. Wondering if a fight had yet to break out among the two leggers and if so. Did she need to help Erionda? Most likely not with Lanzecki and Uassae there. Both were nearly as powerful as their bonded. Her mind swirling as the glint of a green orb caught her eye. Greedily Kioda moved to swoop it up before either could take a chance at her orb. Her body wiggling with the desire to steal the others. The only thing holding her back was the chance that she could get more ysali orbs if she were only patient.

Darke tilted his head at the strange Drakein's words. Mae wasn't a creature. But as his bonded curiously entered the caves, Darke had no choice but to join. He couldn't leave Mae with all these scary things! He bounded after the group, sticking close to Mae's side rather than inspect his new companions. His boy hadn't been known to play well with others that weren't like him. So Darke only rolled his eyes as the girl antagonized him. It probably wasn't on purpose, but he doubted Mae would know that.
"Oblivionite?!" The boy snorted, almost offended. "I'm Maeron. An Orderite." He corrected with a scowl. How could anyone possibly mistake him for someone so, so... soulless. Didn't his fair skin and painfully bright purple hair give it away? By the looks of her, this girl was either Dovaa, or hybrid. It seemed like her skin was too painfully pale to be a full Dovaa, so Mae leaned more toward hybrid. She was almost as rude as the last he'd met... He had half a mind to leave it at that, but the treasures on the ground called to him. There had been three, which meant he was included... And this girl said she could take on Diabis. Those were a lot stronger than the Peisios he'd been able to fight. Hm... Maybe they'd be okay if no one spoke to each other. The lot of them seemed pretty rude, so Mae doubted there'd be any friendly conversation, anyway.
"I just want to get stronger, so I can protect the things I care about." He petted Darke's head affectionately. "I guess that's why I'm here." Scoffing softly, he headed into the next room, not waiting for the girl to follow. He arrived in time to see one of the Drakeins from earlier tear into a Ysali. So they were all vicious barbarians, it seemed... Not that Mae had a problem with that when it came to Dragons.

"Hard to tell when you stand in the shadow's like an Oblivionite." Erionda mocked. A slight smile wearing on the corner of her mouth. Only a true Orderite would be offended by having been confused with the opposite race. The strange Orderite had even gone so far as to give her a name. Mulling the information over in her head Erionida let her arms relax at her sides. Her eyes drifted back to the last remaining orb with hesitation. The Orderite hadn't even been in the cave when the kill was made. Did that mean that someone only needed to be in the vicinity for dragons to drop multiple orbs. Regarding the information carefully she was distracted as Mae spoke again.
Protect someone. Sure sounds alot like you and Killian. Erionda.
The hybrid blinked at Uassae's forward words. Resisting the urge to choke at the very thought. Orderites were just as blood thirsty and callous as the Oblivionites. The only thing that separated the two races in her opinion was the lack of soul. Even then, Erionda wasn't sure that really was much of a difference. Killian possessed much more than a soul in her heart. Which made the difference in the races even that more obscure. Shrugging indifferently Erionda moved towards the next room. Only to be taken back when the Orderite moved along as well. What did it think it was doing? She watched the younger Mae with feint interest. If it wasn't careful in here it was likely to be killed. And with his typical reaction to her, she wasn't in any mood to protect it in the least.
Erionda could feel the bone chill of her magic race through her arm as she stared forward into the eyes of the approaching Kiandri. The kills were getting better this time around. Though the dragon was completely different than the last time she had been here. Did the dragons change constantly? Rotate in some random order? Not that Kiandri weren't already abundant and already afraid of her since her slaughter of an entire hoard not long ago.
The hybrid could feel the Dragons eyes search her. Feel it's understanding of who she was. "Yeah it's me fool. The nightmare of the Kiandri. Seems I found you." Erionda jokingly teased in the dragons tongue.
"You're death will be my victory." The dragon snarled back.
"Try it!" Erionda yelled clapping her hands together and freezing the dragons feet to the ground. "I have little patience for dragons who think they are above everyone." The young woman finished in the normal tongue. Forgetting that only select Dovaa retain the power to speak to the dragons.
Lanzecki roared as he rushed forward. His teeth digging into the side of the beast. His back claws raking slashes as he kicked with all his might.

Kioda turned her head to regard both of the two legged creatures as they appeared in the room. She could swear she saw sparks of detest fly between them. Rolling her eyes she sniffed the room. No dragon had shown itself until Erionda's approach. Her heart sank when she beheld the dragon before her. Kiandri. And here she was only able to really kill Ayrala dragons on her own. Flicking her tail from side to side Kioda listened in on the conversation between Erionda and the Dragon. So the girl had the tongue of dragons. That could be useful. Perhaps if she wanted to speak privately to the young hybrid she could easily speak in a different tongue and the girl would understand. This idea amused her greatly.
The Ysali Drakein turned her attention to the blood thirsty bird that seemed to be tagging along. "It isn't usual to see a young one like yourself." Her tone more friendly than it originally had been. While she hated most of the two leggers it was often easier to warm her over if they kept their distance until she was ready to approach them. This one seemed to be doing just that. Her curiosity however was more in the young Keindred that followed him. Taking steps forward her eyes flashed as she surveyed the bonded's health. Her muzzle extending to the feathered body. "I hope you are well treated little one. And not treated as a pet." Her tone hung in the air like a question. Her eyes regarding the Orderite with the bonded.
She could care less about the fight Erionda and her bonded were currently involved in. If anything Erionda would finish the battle the moment she grew weary of speaking with the dragon. A flash of grey drew to towards the dragon as she watched Lanzecki attempt to take it on. A competitive streak flashed in the female Drakien. Racing forward she too joined the battle. Reaching out with her claws to slash at the dragons hide. The small one was a powerful ally against the Kiandri they faced. Her jaw clenched tighter on the dragon until she could feel it give way to her. And three glowing orbs fell to the ground. Pulling one towards her Kioda beamed. "Well now. who would be willing to trade this for a Ysali orb?"
Maeron sighed. The woman didn't even have the decency to offer her own name in return. And she was just as clipped as he'd expect from anyone not like him... For some reason, he'd expected hybrids to be more... I dunno, desperate for some favorable relationships between purebloods, and since she was at least half Orderite, he kind of expected... Well, whatever. She could be cold if she wanted. And as he watched her freeze the Kiandri dragon's feet to the floor, he suddenly wasn't surprised by the frosty attitude. She was half Aiskala Davaa... Like Darke! Maybe he could learn frosty spells like that too...
Meanwhile, the Keindred stuck close to Mae's side, soft sky feathers brushing against his legs as they walked. He could sense Mae's uneasiness, and it mirrored onto him in the same way. The whole lot of the others knew each other... It would just be him and Mae against this entire lot if it came to that. He bumped his head reassuringly against the Orderite's palm, silently urging him to be on his best friendly behavior...
Another cavern, and another Dragon down... But both Mae and Darke were feeling wearier with every one down. Especially when they learned that the feral Drakein traveling with them could be just as vicious as the hybrid. But Mae found himself blinking at her offer. One Ysali for a Kiandri orb...? He supposed it didn't matter which type he collected...
He leaned down to whisper in Darke's ear, "If you wanted to, you could take the Orb to her..." He offered, passing the Keindred a green orb from his pack. He knew that above all else, Darke wanted to know more about the Drakeins... Mae could tell him as much as he liked from his books, but it certainly didn't equal meeting the real thing.
Darke's tail swished and his eyes brightened. He took the small orb between his teeth and plodded over to Kioda. "You mean a trade?" He questioned, dropping the orb at her feet. His sky orbs glinted softly. "I don't know what you've heard of other bonded's, but Mae is my Companion, not my Master." Darke huffed. "So you'd better be nice!"
