⊕Myers-Briggs Type:ESFP (artisan type, performer role-variant) ⊗Personality:A nervous ball of excitability, Cardice works under the instinctual reactions of acting before thinking, which almost always leads him to "flight" over "fight." His skittish and head-shy nature is paired with an overabundance of hyperactive energy, gaining him access to quick maneuverability and a diminished capability of paying attention unless threatened. Despite his easy-to-startle nature, Cardice is very friendly and extroverted, oftentimes escalating in hyperactivity when around others. He tends to talk quickly, punctuated by a stutter that sounds as though he is shivering when he gets riled up enough. ⊕Likes:Cardice is a bit of a pack rat when it comes to things he deems "interesting" on the outside world. As a wild pokémon, he tends to hoard things that he runs across that has been otherwise abandoned, but never do much with it after the fact. This stems from his "grabby" nature -- if he sees something that sparks his curiosity, he is more likely to immediately poke and prod at it as soon as he asks someone what it is than wait for a proper response. Cardice also has a strange fondness for cold things and freezing weather, which also inadvertently seem to calm the helioptile down. ⊗Dislikes:The good majority of Cardice's dislikes are merely things that end up making him the most nervous and hyper-sensitive to his surroundings. Things and individuals that move quickly put the reptile on edge the easiest, and will often find him diving for cover. Those that are larger than Cardice are immediately written off as a threat on first impression and dealt with under caution, which unfortunately tends to be a large percentage of the populace. He is easy enough to get on the positive side of to cancel out the flimsy dislikes, but the fact that anything that comes near him have a high chance of frightening him can put a damper on things. ⊕Other Quirks:Cardice's preferences for cold weather as opposed to heat make him an anomaly not only to other helioptiles, but to other cold-blooded critters as well. The sun will recharge the helioptile's energy reserves as a generator pokémon using his natural solar paneling, so his affinity for the chillier weather works more as a love-hate relationship -- his lifestyle choices could easily end up killing him. Cardice's constant hyperactivity also gives him a counterpoint to the opposing extreme in that when the pokémon falls asleep, he falls asleep hard. It has been perceived that the helioptile wouldn't hear a train blare through if it was inches from his head.
⊗Approx. Level:9 ⊕Ability:Dry Skin - In battle, Cardice loses 1/8 of his maximum HP in sunshine and gains 1/8 in rain after every turn. This also makes fire-type attacks 25% more effective and water-type attacks heal for 25% the damage instead.

Judging from the fact that Cardice always hid as soon as he caught glimpse of a towering human in the area, it would be a feat for anyone to accomplish 'trainer' status.

Cardice's life has progressed along at what could be likened to that of a snail's pace, with too little happening to be considered out of the ordinary. He is a bit of a loner when it comes to family, so much of what he experiences has been met without accompaniment. While he is still attached to his bloodlines, they have urged him to try to grow past his personal obstacles. Despite the fact that Cardice was practically thrust into the wilds to survive on his own at such a young age, the knowledge that he's got a place to fall back on keeps the helioptile from worrying too much about that which is outside his control.

Cardice's family consists of his parents, two older brothers, and an older sister. While he is not in immediate contact with them, encounters are not unheard of. Experiences with family are, however, limited to the occasional parental visit and pesterings from a sibling or two once in a blue moon. For the most part, Cardice's knowledge of his siblings is through hearsay instead of actual firsthand experience.

Despite the helioptile's usual territories being in harsh desert areas, Cardice's choice of living arrangements led him to the (slightly) cooler climate at the base of Matsutta Volcano, bordering the sandy Rockweed Beach. The rock-based home makes for many niches he can hide in if he needs, and the mountain is warm enough from the molten rock within and the angle of the overhead sun to keep the little guy healthy. Cardice does not, however, have any specific place on the rock face that he really considers his home, but there are a few alcoves that he prefers over others in weather that turns more south. He is also near enough the forest for it to be capable of frequent use, and ventures into its depths often enough to have gained a good understanding of the workings therein. Contrary to his perceived perceptions of being comfortable, he is not altogether picky about abode, he merely has (strong) guilty pleasures.

There have been numerous items that have come and gone through Cardice's fingers. Since he doesn't have a safe storehouse for anything, most of the items are eventually misplaced or, in the case of perishable items, go bad when exposed for long periods of time in the open air. Due to this, very little actually stays within his possession. Those that stand the test of time will be placed here.
