Bhaskar had found himself at the playground soon enough. He wasn't exactly displeased with his current locale and in fact found his way at the top of a slide where he just sort of sat down and draped his arms over the protective handles at the side. This seemed rather silly.
Then again he wasn't exactly the right age for this sort of thing but there was enough charm to the place for him to want to hang out here for at least a few moments.
The humanoid dragon boy sort of sat up a bit straighter on his perch as if to try and catch sight of anything of interest.

Foxx was apparently having a REALLY good time. He had been rolling around in the grass playing with someone else's puppy, and now was so full of energy, he ran, laughing and grinning, all the way over to the swings, and hopped on one. Tail flying in the breeze as he swung, he closed his eyes, and giggles as he swung back and forth and back and forth with no real inclination to stop doing so.
"Wheeeee! Heeeheeheeeeee!" he whooped as he swang - even though his tail frequently brushed the ground, and he had to sit a bit higher in the swing than usual to even stay on it. This boy was obviously a teenager, but he was acting... much younger.
He jumped off the swing, and immediately made for the sandbox, sitting himself down in it crosslegged, and digging in it, sand flying away from his paws. It looked as though he was searching for something. Maybe he was.
"Where aaaaare yooooou backpack?" he asked in a sing-song voice, digging deeper. "Baaaackpaaaack... where did I put yoooooou?"

He made note of the figure as they came scampering about in the playground. Bhaskar just cupped his chin in his hands and watched in a bemused fashion, an eyebrow slightly perked upwards as he did so. It was like studying a strange creature in their natural habitat.
Almost.
Bhaskar was fairly sure this was not the other lad's natural habitat.
As the other boy began to dig and calling out for his backpack he sort of shifted on his perch and slid down to the bottom of the slide (fun but not quite exhilarating), and wandered over to the sandbox. "...Friend is it common practice to bury backpacks?" There was no mockery in his tone as the question came out, but only genuine curiosity.

Foxx perked his ears, and turned around to look at the other quickly, a smile on his face, and sand all over his hands. "Nope! I just buried it so people wouldn't get it and take it places, because that's happened before and I really shouldn't leave it where I can't see it, but I wanted to go play with a puppy, and time passed and I kinda forgot I buried it here, but now I'm back to get it, and.... Who are you?"
He paused in his digging, and knelt up, looking at the other boy, and waving his tail a little. Since he was really too big to be in a sandbox in the first place, the tail was well out of the sand. Which was good, because it would have been everywhere. He noticed the one over him was vaguely... reptilian. At least that's what he looked like. He thought back, and compared the image to a lot of his picture books, and came up with the answer surprisingly quickly.
"Hey! You're a dragon, right? You know, dragons used to be all around everywhere, then they vanished, and only now they're starting to reappear in legends and stuff. Well, not really reappear, but people are finding more of the stories that have already been written and then lost, then found again, and.... " He paused, yanked a band from under his hand, and pulled up his bright-blue backpack with candy-colored buttons all over. Now covered in sand.
"Awww maaaaaaan... I just washed this too. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to bury it... But what if someone stole it?" Just as quickly as it departed, his attention turned back to the 'dragon'. "I'm Foxx! What's your name?"

He rocked back onto the heels of his boots and just watched with a neutral expression on his face as the other male chattered about. Most might get overwhelmed by all of this but the only reaction Bhaskar had was to crouch down and to make sure his wings were folded a little more closely to his back just in case someone else started running about on the playground as well.
Questions. Who? He was going to answer but another question was put at him and he decided to wait until the one who called himself Foxx let him talk.
"Ah. See. I am Bhaskaracharya. You may call me Bhaskar, yes? Pleased to meet you Foxx. Yes, I am a dragon of sorts. I have read a little at the libraries here, interesting theories and legends they all have." Bhaskar had a slightly awkward way of talking it seemed, but for him it was natural as ever.

Foxx smiled again as the other boy knelt down, waving his tail just a bit faster. "Nice to meet you! I'm Foxx! But I already told you that. I was waiting here for someone, but it looks like they're not going to show up so I figured I'd stay here for a while and play some, because I haven't gotten to do much since I just got here and stuff."
He stood up, shaking off the backpack, and skittered over to the nearest bench, flopping down on it, sand falling off of him, as he systematically removed each item from his backpack to make sure it didn't have sand on it. Quietly, he pulled out a sketchbook, some pens and mechanical pencils, a pink-and-blue cellphone [clearly one of the kind issued to kids from the Dreamery without Guardians] two pill-bottles, and a pad of sticky-notes, the top-most one with little doodles on it.
"Okay! Everything seems okay but the backpack. Let me get rid of this sand.... " He unzipped the backpack completely, and started whacking it against the back of the bench to get the sand off. Of course, it worked, and soon enough there was sand-free backpack into which Foxx put everything else back into.
That done, he sat down with the 'pack in his lap, and smiled at Bhaskar. "Books are kinda awesome. I like to read a lot. Myths are kinda awesome too. Umm... are you hungry? I'm kind of hungry. Is there a place to eat around here? Like I said, I'm still kinda new, and.. erm.... don't know where everything is yet. But I'm hungry, and I THINK I have money from the techs... if they paid me..."

"Yes. Consider me most informed, Friend Foxx," Bhaskar chuckled in an amused fashion. He pretty much was willing to let the other move about as they want, standing only to wander within hearing distance so no one had to raise their voice to be heard.
There was a slow tilt to his head as he watched the method that Foxx used to empty the bag and then free it of sand particles. Most fascinating.
The question of food was met with a little nod, "I could eat. I have some money from the Techs as well. I think I know of a place that would be good for two new friends to devour foods." He gestured off to some random distance before he started to wander toward it. "To adventure."

"To adventure!" Foxx said happily, and slung his backpack over his back, dashing a bit to catch up with his new friend. FRIEND! He liked that word. It was awesome. It meant he had someone to talk to, and he LIKED people. Or dragons. Or whatever Bhaskar was. He liked him. That was better.
"Umm... I really, really, really like mexican food. I don't know if they have a place like that around here. Like... umm... what was that place... Don Pablos. That place near the hospital?" His tail was wagging now as he walked along.
"Also, umm... I need to remember to take my meds with food soon, so.. umm... don't let me forget, okay? Oh! I know! I'll draw something for you while we wait for food. I'm... not very good - but I can draw, so I'll draw you something. Do you write? Like characters?"
He actually waited for an answer this time, walking with one hand clutching the strap of the backpack, and the other stuck in his pocket.

"Think that place is known, yes. Don Pablos sounds familiar. Near the healer's place, yes." He nodded quietly as he subtly adjusted the direction he was walking in to take them to where Foxx wanted to go eat because Bhaskar certainly had no preferences on food as of this moment.
The mention of medications and the need to take them was met with a promise of, "Will not forget to remind you." It was almost a strange solemn vow in a sense.
Did he write he shook his head, "Artwork would be find if you insist on gifting something like that. Would be treasured and kept. Collector. I collect things but do not write, really."

"You collect things? What kind of things?" It seemed as though Foxx may have calmed down a little. "I want to start a collection of some kind... not sure what I want to collect. There's a lot of things. I'd be happy to draw you something though! Maybe...."
He paused here, and quickly got a pencil and his sketchpad out of his backpack, obviously quite used to doing this while walking at the same time. He tapped the eraser-end of the mechanical pencil on his chin, thinking.
"What to draw, what to draw...." he murmured, flipping to a new page. If Bhaskar was attentive, he'd notice the other drawings in the book as Foxx passed them. The boy was NOT bad. Not at all. As a matter of fact, he was quite good. But he said nothing like that, so obviously he felt he wasn't up to par.
"I know you ARE a dragon, but do you like them? Dragons, I mean. I think I can draw some sort of dragon. I mean, I've never tried-tried before... But there's a first time for everything!"

Bhaskar felt that this arrangement was amiable so far and thus was not in any hurry to part with his new friend, that much was certain. The chatter was fairly welcome to a dragon that lived a mostly solitary lifestyle for the most part.
His tail twitched a bit as he walked he gave Foxx a glance and shifted a shoulder in response, "Suppose it is indeed fair to say that I like my own kind, but would that be considered narcissistic? Though I suppose I do look rather glorious," he said in an amused tone. "Should always do new things, explore new things. Otherwise you will not find what you need to improve upon to become much better, yes."
As they arrived to their destination he pulled open the door for Foxx, "You may enter before me."

Foxx skirted past the dragon lightly, nimble on his feet. One of the benefits of being what he was, of course. Once inside, he waited for Bhaskar, tailtip wagging a bit. he knew it wasn't polite to be wagging full-tilt inside a restaurant, so he settled for a tinywag. He stood before the server, who lead them to a booth soon enough, dropping them both a menu, and waiting with his pen poised.
"Can I get you gentleman anything to drink?" he asked politely.
The artistic teen was busy sketching a dragon, but did look up long enough to order water, before he went back to sketching, and talking at the same time.
"Four-legged things are neat to draw. There's so many muscles and bones in the overall structure - but it's okay to fudge a little because dragons are hard to draw, and you have to have your own style, you know? Something flowing is nice for like, an oriental dragon.. but you still have to have structure."
He set aside the drawing for the time-being, and looked at the menu, spotting his favorite mexican dish on the very top. Then again, he hadn't had MUCH mexican, so one could probably just call this his favorite food out the things he'd actually tried. But tried and true was better than trying something and not liking it in front of a friend! At least, to his mind.
"I think... the nachos look good. With extra cheese-dip, annnnd.... maybe some salsa and chips for like, an appetizer? What do you want?"

Bhaskar had followed soon enough and also ordered a simple glass of water. Soda was too bubbly and he only enjoyed tea when it was hot. Iced tea was considered an abomination against all tea.
As Foxx talked about structure of dragons and how hard they were to draw he let out a small humming sound, "I suppose that is true enough. If all arts were the same not many people would wan't to view it or take interest in it." He agreed with a small nod. That was a very logical observation.
He gazed at the menu before he settled for something called super spicy chicken & beef enchiladas and that is what he now looked forward to ordering, "I am getting the enchiladas myself," he announced. "But the chips and salsa as appetizers sound appropriate."
Bhaskar set aside his menu, "You asked me about what I collect, yes? I think I am able to define my collections as ... just about anything to be honest but I mostly enjoy gems, especially what others call an amethyst. I also collect strange trinkets from other peoples and nations if I can find them."

"That sounds awesome!" he said, looking up to actually meet Bhaskar's eyes as he spoke to him. It was only polite. "If you like gems... I sometimes find them here and there. Like.. in the grasses, or sometimes people leave shiny things in the shop and I pick them up... I do have something like that in my backpack..."
He put his sketchpad to the side for a moment, and turned to the side to open and rummage in his bag, pulling out what was probably someone's necklace that they'd left in the main shop at some point. The fact that Foxx still had it probably meant they forgot about it. It was a pretty thing - but not overly fancy. He put it on the table in-between them, and smiled. The chain was probably cheap gold-plate, but the circular gem in the center was very likely a real amethyst stone.
"Amethyst is the purple one, right? I kind of forgot. But I found this at the shop one day, and picked it up. I asked around.. like, if the techs knew who dropped it or whatever... but they said nobody cared about it, and I could keep it.. You collect stuff like this? 'Cause.... you can have it, if you want."
His eyes flicked from the necklace to Bhaskar, wondering if that was the right move. He DID pick it up, and had been carrying it around for a while, and he wasn't planning on doing anything with it... Amethyst was the purple one, right? Or did he screw that up?

To say that Bhaskar's face lit up was possibly an understatement. His eyes latched on to the necklace and nothing else for the time being. Fake or not it was shiny and now he must have it.
It wasn't even a concern if the gemstone was real or if the gold was fake. He stared down at the object on the table before he reached out and took it up and began to look it over very carefully, but it was hard to tell if he knew if it was real or fake himself. He was just admiring his own reflection and the look of the amethyst on the necklace.
"Hm. Well. I do not often take things of others belongings. It is gift? I wish I had something of equal value to give to you." He said almost regretfully as he began to set the gift down. It didn't feel right just taking something from someone he'd just met. "No one has... tried to find or claim this? It is a shame, such a lovely trinket."
He was fighting against his impulse to just take what he wanted.
