A large clearing in the bamboo, this is where the village has chosen to start out. This area is considered plenty large enough for the current village members to set up camp, with fair ease of expansion if needed. All of the villagers are encouraged, though not required, to set up their tents here. Any security however, is up to them.

[enter from bamboo forest] After about twenty minutes, Rin stopped before a large clearing. She scratched her head. "Wait... I don't remember this place." She walked sloly into the clearing and kicked a few recently cut logs of bamboo. "They must have cleared some space for all the new people!" she turned around, beaming. "I can't wait to meet everyone! I hear people are coming from all over the whole world just to join our village! Maybe we'll get the candy master from candy land to come set up his candy factory of candied sweetness!" Okay, a little too strong a resemblance to sis there. "Oh right umm, go ahead and set up your home or whatever. hope you brought a tent! There was this one guy who came without even a blanket, and he tried sleeping on the ground, but then there was a bear and.... I think they made friends and went south for the summer? Mom and Dad won't talk about it."
As Cryshal entered the village, she looked around in awe. It wasn't much but at least she had a place she could call home. At this moment she had remembered something, she didn't have a tent! While she was an inhabitant of the forest, she found or made her own shelter, "I think I am the only one here that doesn't have a tent." Cryshal didn't care if she had a tent or not, she would still sleep peacefully in a tree top or something like that. "So, Rin. You live here? It's really nice and I'm glad we were able to find it with no altercations." Cryshal felt, welcomed with out people really knowing her one reason being that she just arrived there, but still yet felt welcome.

๑๑๑๑Hearing voices nearby, Luo walked out of a tent meant for three he had placed just within the line of bamboo while helping to clear the area as he got word of more people arriving soon. Being one who liked to stay one step ahead of any possible intrusions, he cut himself thirty feet shy of the clearing, purposely neglecting to keep the area lit as much as possible. You could say the young ninja considered himself to be on guard duty for the time being.
Walking into the clearing, Luo found Rin looking around as a girl was speaking, something about a tent as far as he could hear. Walking up on them, Luo nodded towards Rin muttering a "Welcome back," before turning his attention towards the girl next to her. The first thing he noticed was her lack of equipment for spending nights in this terrain. While it was plenty warm in the day, the nights were susceptible to frigid winds from the mountain. Exhaling through his nostrils, he nodded towards the girl. "If necessary, we have a few extra tents donated by some generous shinobi clans interested in our cause, as well as a few cots to go along with them. Admittedly, we do not have enough to outfit as many people as we are expecting, so claim one while you can."
Now dragging his feet and lazily making his way threw the forest into the clearing, Shinji would be the last of there little group to enter the clearing at that time. His skin would once again be Pale as he would suffer from dehydration yet again but this problem could be easily fixed because they where finally at the village. He would slowly drag his feet and walk over to whre Cryshal and Rin where standing before near lee falling onto Cryshals left shoulder resting his head there while holding himself up."meh....water" he would say exaggerating his condition a bit before falling to his knees hiding his face. while on the ground he would glance over to the man who had been talking about tents and would then ask "So its first come first serve huh? guess we got lucky then" Shinji would reply while shifting his attention towards Cryshal hinting at the fact that he did not have a tent either. he would raise his head a little and clear his throat before asking the man standing in the distance yet again this time trying to show that he had some manners."but first things first...excuse me sir but where could I find the fresh water supplies?" Not knowing how to approach the mystery man he assumed that he had to know more about the village since he was clearly there longer. Also the young Rin had a few unanswered questions, she clearly knew more than she was letting on back in the forest. that mans welcome home comment gave that away.

After leaving the large man he'd met in the forest behind, Segare had decided to take a walk through the village to see how things were going, occasionally stopping to chat with a villager or two about one thing or another. Most seemed curious about where things were headed, or, more practically, where to get their necessary supplies or set up their tents. he'd made sure to mention the future academy lessons to everyone he talked to, in order to keep word of that spreading as well. He wasn't sure if he was looking forward to, or dreading, the time his turn came round to teach, since all the founders had agreed to take turns teaching various lessons and classes. The way he saw it, he'd either get lucky with some fun kids who really wanted to learn, or get stuck with a bunch of cocky idiots, as unfortunately tended to be the case with young shinobi. Well, that at least had it's own potential for amusement when he disabused them of their notions of being strong.
Turning a corner, he found an unexpected sight before him, and slipped back a bit to eavesdrop as Rin popped out of the woods, followed by two more kids. This Rin acted vastly differently from the Rin he'd met earlier, obviously an act, to him. He had to admit, except for the over the top reference to a candy man, it was rather convincing. Well, assuming she was playing a hyper and naive child. A smile coming to his face at the blackmail potential of this, Segare started walking again, heading towards the group, only to be beaten there by Luo, and arriving within casual talking distance just as the new boy asked about water. Briefly scanning the boy, Segare smiled even wider and turned to point to the side.
The nearest spring is about a mile in that direction. Everyone has to collect their own water until we can get a proper well set up, but I'm sure we can find you a bucket. I'd boil it before I drank it though. Not sure if there's anything in the water, but considering the number of mosquitoes out there, I don't think I'd want to find out. He knew it might have been a little cruel, telling the obviously thirsty boy he needed to get his own water, when he knew full well there was a supply at the medical tent. But what he said was still true. Everyone who joined the village was expected to look after their own needs, be it food and drink, or shelter. The village had no space for anyone who wasn't going to be able to carry their own weight, by manual labor or by paying someone else to do it for them. Plus, he was sure Luo or Rin would take pity and tell the boy about the emergency supplies if he needed it that badly. But really, who went for a trek into the jungle, without a guide, with no food and water?
๑๑๑๑As Luo spent time processing the unexpected and drastic change in Rin's mannerisms, he found himself incapable of answering before Segare turned up. Where Luo was quick to help a young one in need, Segare answered with what was quite possibly the truest, yet harshest of responses. Despite Luo's upbringings training wise, this seemed cruel for someone who looked as pale as the kid before him. In fact, Luo had been wondering more and more as time went by why the kid looked as pale as he did, as well as what the slits on each side of his neck were exactly.
Before the boy could answer, Luo started with Segare, deciding he'd have a bit of fun with a man who seemed to enjoy verbally toying with Luo during inopportune moments. "As a member of our council Segare, I'm surprised you are unaware of the excess water supply housed in the medical tent for incoming shinobi. Aside from this, I'd like to mention there is a mission in the works for me to take a few ninja up there and divert that spring into our valley. I suspect it would not take more than a week's time." For the first time through the encounter, Luo allowed the ends of his mouth to curl, a sliver of a grin directed at his senior in age among the group. However, Luo was not finished.
His eyes landed softly onto the boy who had spoken, unwilling to allow a senior within the small band to be joked with whether recognized or not, without his subordinate being corrected. "The first thing to do, would be to introduce yourself. We are not in the business of giving water out to people we cannot recognize by name. Secondly, when approaching one's seniors it is not only polite, but customary to bow. I suggest you become used to the notion, especially when dealing with myself. Lastly, consider the gift of shelter a favor you will pay back to this village in service, or silver. An overstock of supplies does not necessarily mean free supplies. The fact that you walked into a forest without so much as a leather pouch of water proves inexperience. I suggest you take these supplies as not only a lesson, but a debt to this village and its allies."
It was a tad bit difficult for Luo to assume command in such a way, despite his previous post in his clan. After all, he still answered to not only his father, but several senior members of his clan's advisory committee. Having been the youngest, Luo rarely was allowed much pull beyond his station. And while his station certainly allowed him to reprimand shinobi under him, he had never been one of the absolute authorities in the clan. The feeling was new to him, and just as well odd. Had it not been for the placid yet unyielding expression on his face the majority of the time, as well as the flat tone with which he spoke often when slightly disinterested, one may have found it hard to believe the young shinobi was an authority. It was purely in the way he had been taught to carry himself along with skill, that Luo was allowed the time he knew he needed to grow into his position.
Shinji would mope for moment when the new arrival stated that the spring was a mile away but his focus would quickly be shifted to luo as he spoke about the errors that Shinji had so foolishly made. as the comments where made about him not having any supplies he would look at the three empty bottle of water resting on his waist and think about the supplies he ran threw while in the forest for so long before running in to the two girls but would not say anything. He didn't want to dig himself any deeper into a whole than he already was in. he would rise to his feet and take a deep breath before quickly bowing to luo. his entire determine would change due to the fact that he was now aware that he was in the presence of the people who would be his superiors. His regular cocky and sluggish ways had seemed to evaporated into thin air before he spoke.
"My apologies for my ignorance my lord...My name is Shinji hozuki. I have come all the way from the hozuki islands to join this village in order to support good health between my clan and the main land as well as expand knowledge of my homeland. you need not worry I am here to learn and serve....this is my home now......i would like to aplogise once again but ...i must make my way to the spring i would not want to deplete your emergency supplies"
as he spoke his voice began to become raspy but he would maintain a respectful tone. He would the rise up and begin quickly running off in the direction he was pointed to while his fingertips began to turn white rather than pale and his finger nales into a jelly like substance. Still in a liquid state but if he fully dried out he wold be in big trouble and he needed to get to the water fast. As a member of the hozuki clan Shinji would need to keep a steady supply of water around so that his body does not dry out. once he learns a few simple water techniques down the road this shouldn't be a problem. in fact the things that hold him back now will be his greatest asset in the future.
Segare snickered as he watched the boy run off. Off all the things he might have expected, the kid running off to the spring even after being told about the surplus in medical wasn't one of them. Maybe he was just embarrassed after Luo dug into him a bit? He'd caught the glance towards the kid's empty bottles as Luo scolded him for not being prepared. That didn't bode well either though. He may have brought water, initially, but obviously he hadn't brought enough to cover for his own thirst. Or was simply wasteful. They'd have to make sure the kid got his hands on a bucket to keep with his tent once he got back from the spring.
Containing his snickers, Segare moved to stand closer to Luo, though he didn't entirely remove his attention from the other newcomer. "I hadn't heard about the spring diversion. Figured we were just going to dig a well." he said quietly, just loudly enough to be heard by the man, and, probably, Rin too if she was paying attention. A frown crossed his face however as a new thought occurred to the man. "Are you sure that's a good idea though? Our best defense here is the forest. Running a stream straight through the village would be a road sign straight to us if anyone cared to follow it."
Indeed, they had chosen their location because they were deep enough in the rather dense forest that they were almost impossible to find, barring a tracker skilled enough to follow a ninja following them in. In his opinion, if they'd wanted to have a stream in the village, they should have built on the stream. The fact they hadn't had seemed a good indication that the location was chosen to be near the stream, but not close enough to be found by anyone following it.
Diverting his attention once more, Segare looked to the other newcomer, smiling his typical lazy smile as he decided to speak to her as well. "Hey." he started in, giving a wave to make sure he had her attention. "As Luo here said a bit ago, I'm Segare. I'm in charge of the village's treasury and supplies, so I'm the one you'll need to ask for that tent. As he also said, we're not in the business of giving things away, so it will cost you a bit. If you've got the silver you can buy it now, or, otherwise, well, I'm also the one who docks your mission pay if you're in debt to the village. Either way I wouldn't recommend going without. Those southern summers are nasty." he finished with a wink in Rin's direction. "I'll just need to know your name so I know who to write down as having taken from the village stores, then we can go get you a tent."
As soon as Cryshal entered the "village" a figure had walked out of a tent a little more than thirty feet from the actual clearing. She watched as he walked up to her and welcomed her in his own way. Cryshal listened as he was talking and giving her suggestions as what to do, and how she could obtain a tent and other supplies. After he was done talking she smiled at Luo, "Thank you, I will definately go by and see about obtaining one!" She was actually in a place that would help her, she felt so happy to be in a place that accepted her and made her feel welcomed. Just before she went moved to get a tent she felt someone lean on her shoulder, to no avail it was only Shinji dehydrated and tired once more. She had remembered him being like this before when they were in the forest looking for a trail, then she remembered that he had to drink out of her shoe. She would have to apologize to him again, once she had a chance.
Then yet another person came to join the group, Segare. From what she heard Segare a part of the village council. After basically being "chewed out" by Luo Cryshal bowed immediately. "I am terribly sorry, I had no idea that such customs were in place in villages. I will not forget from this point on. My name is Cryshal Fuero, I have been living in the forests for as long as I can remember. I am truly grateful for the supplies that are available to us and shall not take more than I need. How much will the supplies cost? I do not wish to be a burden, so I will ask of what is needed of me to be able to stay in this village." After saying what she did, Cryshal looked up at the two individuals in front of her especially toward Segare.

Segare smiled again, chuckling at the girl's actions. Apparently among Luo's skills, intimidating kids into being overly polite and formal was ranked highly. "No need to be quite so formal kiddo. Luo here grew up with all that nonsense, but all I ask for is proper respect for authority. Protocol bores me." He grinned at the girl, before turning and starting to walk away, waving at her to follow him. "Tents are cheap, and easy to replace. Nothing you can't make up with a simple mission or two. We'll see about anything else you might need while we're there."
Cocking his head over his shoulder, he sent Luo and Rin a parting wave. "I'll see you later! Maybe we can get back to that spar then Luo." he called, before turning his attention back to the girl, and deciding he might as well answer her questions, overly formal or not. "The village is just getting set up, so we expect everyone to look out for themselves. That means if you want food, you find it, hunt something down or pick some plants, we don't care so long as you cover your tracks. Water should be collected regularly so you always have a fresh supply, and not kept for more than a few days to prevent sickness. If you can't do any of those things, you'll need to find someone willing to do them for you, and pay them to do it. Not many here are going to offer anyone charity, since we're all working to survive. Those, are your duties to yourself."
Pausing for a moment, he indicated that they should turn as the path split. One way would lead to the council and medical tents, but they wanted to go the other way, to the storage area. "For the village, so long as you are not a burden, you can do as you like. You are expected to respect the authority of those who have it, and follow our rules. For now the one to focus on is that the village is to remain hidden. If you go outside, you make sure your tracks are thoroughly hidden and cannot be traced back to us. If you're here to become a ninja, as most are, you are to follow the chain of command and complete your missions with the efficiency and dignity expected of you. All fairly simple." he finished, turning to give the girl another smile, feeling it necessary after such a long period of seriousness.
Cryshal paid attention as Segare spoke, and then she giggled halfheartedly. Since she was new to the area she followed Segare to where ever they were going. She had to trust him because he wasn't on the council for leading young ninjas in training astray. "Thank you for allowing us to stay in this village. Like I said before, I've lived in the forests for a while." She kept following him until he paused for a moment when the path split. "Yeah, It looks like things are still getting completely set up. Um, I have a question. When do we start our ninja training? I mean, when do Shinji and I start?" She figured the sooner they started, the sooner they would be able to be become actual ninja. They began to move once more toward the storehouse. "Alright, look after myself, and if not they pay someone. I'm more of a girl who looks out for herself and others if they need it. As for the chain of command, how does it work, and what is the chain of command?"

It only took about 15 minuets for Shinji to reach the spring and with each minute that passed his condition would get worse and worse. the jelly like substance that was beginning to show moved up from his finger tips and all the way up his arms up to his shoulders. he was nearly transparent by this point and his fingertips where beginning to harden. Luckily for him he had finally arrived at the spring and would no longer have to worry about drying out or dehydrating. He was so focused on getting to the water that he did not even notice the annoying number of mosquitoes swarming him as he entered the spring. Holding his breath and sitting there for a second he would take in as much water as he would witch surprisingly was a lot knowing that he would have to make this trip often. Tho he was surrounded by blood sucking bugs he really didn't have anything to fear due to the nature of his bloodline. Shinji would emerge from the pool of water renewed and fully refreshed. His arms revert back from there jelly like substance and would return to normal. Shinji would then continue to fill up his water bottles and make his way back to where the others where.
As soon as Cryshal got back to the area where the tents were, she quickly found an area big enough for two tents. It wasn't too close to the forest, and it wasn't too far from everyone else. She thought it was the perfect spot. She looked around for Shinji but she almost forgot that he had gone down to the spring. "Oh well, looks like I will have to figure this out on my own!" Cryshal went to work to putting the tents up, hopefully they would be in good condition to rest in by the time Shinji got back. She knew it wouldn't take long for Shinji to do what he had to and that he could be back any minute. Cryshal examined what she had to work with, some rope, a large cloth, a couple of wooden posts, and wooden stakes. Evaluating the situation she thought of what the outcome should look like and went to work. Cryshal started to dig the dirt only about a foot into the ground, and did the same about six feet away since she wasn't really that tall.
After her digging was complete she set the posts vertically in the holes and filled it with dirt around the post to try to make it more secure. So far so good, things were beginning to come together very nicely. She saw that there were quite a few pieces of rope all looking like they were the same length. Cryshal took one of the rope pieces and tied it to the posts, the skeleton of the tent was complete! Feeling successful she went on and threw the cloth over the rope making sure it was even, afterwards she noticed that there were a few "holes" in the tent to put the rope through and did just that. She was almost finished with one of the tents and she had a great feeling of accomplishment. All that was left now was to put the wooden stakes in the ground and tie the respective ropes to the stakes. Cryshal was relieved that there were in fact enough stakes for her to complete the project. After the tent was all completed she took a couple of steps back to inspect the work that she had done. There was one way to be completely sure that it would be sufficient enough for her so she crawled inside and laid down for a second. While she was still in the tent, one of the knots around the posts came undone and the cloth fell on her. Cryshal started thrashing around trying to get out of the demolished tent. Failing to get out of the tent she started calling for help, hopefully someone would come over to offer her some assistance.

"Looks like someone could use a little help" Shinji would say aloud with a humorous tone as he approached the currently incapacitated girl that was his friend Cryshal. He would notice that she had an obvious excess of supplies needed to make a the average tent while helping her get the cloth off from over her. "Calm down this will only take a second" he would say while trying to stop the girl from thrashing about from under the cloth. He would pull everything off of her in one smooth motion revealing the the girl sitting on the ground. he was kind of funny watching her struggle like that, and as serous as Shinji normally was he himself couldn't help but give faint grin. " I see you went to the storage house without me. no worries we can go back after I help you build your tent. Tho it looks like you have way too many parts" After helping her up he would proceed to gather up all her supplies and resetting the stakes into the ground. this time making them much more secure by beating them into the ground using the hilt of his katana like a hammer. Next he would then continue to tie the rope to the skeleton of the tent and then tie the cloth to it only making it much tighter than she had done before. one of the tents where complete and he would stand there wondering where to put her excess pieces.
