♕xAZRETHx♕ sat with his back to the side of the barracks -- the place he and the rest of the Cadets would call 'home' for the duration of their training. Being the sole heir to his House, he had a s**t-ton of extra coin to spend, so he had had posters made up and stuck them to various walls -- with the permission of the brass, of course -- inviting the other soon-to-be Cadets in his Legion to join him tonight. He had a nice fire going, ringed in stones, and he'd taken a trip to the butcher earlier that morning, buying the choicest cuts of meat: chicken, beef, venison, even fish, sparing no expense. He figured it'd be the last decent meal they'd have before training began, and he wanted to start training off right with his peers -- and what better way than a nice cookout?
The young Lord stretched his arms above his head, the grip of his pistol -- dubbed 'Mercury' after his own temper, a gift from his father -- and hilt of the dagger on his hips catching the light of the fire as he stood up. Time to get this going. He set the metal rack he'd bought in the market above the flames, dropping several prime cuts of beef on it. If nothing else, the smell of delicious, dripping meat would draw Cadets to him like flies to honey. He felt a smile curve his lips at the mental image. Flies with Maneuver Gear. And swords. He snorted to himself and set the pair of tongs he'd bought on a large rock before leaning back against the barracks wall. He tilted his head back, chin to the sky, and watched the stars come to life with emerald eyes.
Only three months ago, those same stars had smiled down at him as his entire House was devoured by Titans, and all he'd known and loved turned to ash before his eyes. He felt his hands ball into fists and forced himself to blow out a deep breath, relaxing. No use remembering that now; it wouldn't do him any good to get pissy before meeting his Squad-mates. That'd be a laugh, wouldn't it?
'Hi there, my name's blahblah. How're you?'
"Oh, just fecking brilliant, thanks. Have you ever seen your father's head being chomped off by teeth the size of your thigh? No? Really? Well, you really missed out on life there, didn't you?"
Azreth shook his head, snorting derisively. Yeah, that'd be a great way to start things off. The young Lord ran a slender hand through unruly blonde hair, mussing it even further as he stooped to pick up the tongs. He pushed all thoughts of family and revenge out of his head and focused instead on his task, turning the four cuts of beef over on the rack above the flames. He glanced up at the sky and judged it to be about seven -- people would start arriving soon. He couldn't help but smile. His best friend, Nikolaus LeSaynt, would be joining him tonight, and he cherished the time he'd get to spend with him. Since they had signed on around the same time, he hoped they'd be in the same Squad -- he couldn't imagine fighting without Nik by his side. He only wished that little Seb could be around to see that Azreth had achieved his dream, even if the kid didn't really approve. The young Lord sent up a wordless prayer to the stars, hoping that wherever Sebastian was, he'd know that Azreth was thinking of him.
But that wasn't the point of this evening -- tonight was all about meeting new people and forging new bonds of friendship. His hand rose to the neck of his cloak, absently fingering the elk-head clasp; it was the sigil of House Deservian, and one of the only things he had to remember his father by. Even though he and the late Lord Deservian butted heads more often than not, he missed his dad terribly. In fact, it was his father who had given him the nickname that both Nik and Seb used to call him. Even though Alec had abhorred the thought of his only son and heir fighting Titans, after seeing the eccentric, acrobatic style of fighting Azreth used when training with his friends, his father had dubbed him 'Kestrel of the Skies'. Partly because his middle name, the boy supposed, but also because of how he used speed and agility versus strength when practicing with his 3DMG. Alec had said that he looked like a Kestrel in flight, a big compliment coming from the normally reticent Lord.
The soft sound of footsteps on dirt pulled Azreth from his reminiscing, and he went back to work over the fire, taking the cuts of meat off and setting them on a large wooden board to rest. He grabbed three slices of venison and set them on the rack with the tongs before sitting down on a large rock a few feet away from the fire. He couldn't make out the figure approaching in the dark, but offered the form a smile, nonetheless.
"Hey there," he said, "Azreth Kestrel Deservian, at your service. Any particular type of meat you'd like? I've got beef, chicken, venison, salmon, pheasant, duck, and mutton." He grinned and ran a hand through his hair, motioning to the wrapped packages as he listed them off. "Just lemmie know what you'd prefer, and I'll cook it up."

"One of each, Kes, and don't forget the trimmings?" came the voice from the darkness, with a hearty laugh as it's owner finally appeared within the light of the fire. "Smells good, they should be coming soon. I hope. We'll at least have a night to remember if they don't. I finished putting up the posters on the far side of camp...be a fool to miss your cooking." Nick swooped around Kes to eye the packages of meat he'd pointed at earlier, a hungry gleam in his eye. It'd been awhile since such a feast as this had appeared before him. It took his will power to move off and sit on the other side of the fire, his own back now against a rock as they awaited the others to come. (really bad stupid post *snorts*)

♕xGREENx♕ eyes brightened as he heard the familiar voice out of the darkness, and the young Lord leaped to his feet with the grace of a cat, clapping Nik on the shoulder.
"You got it, friend." Azreth slipped the various meats from their wrappings and tossed them on the make-shift grill, pointing over his shoulder at a large pot and several canvas bags. "Get some water boiling in that and put it under the rack -- I've got potatoes and carrots in those sacks, if you wanna make a stew. And yeah, I figure after tonight, people are gunna be begging me to cook for them." The Lord grinned up at Nik as the young man grabbed the cast-iron pot. "But, hey. If it earns me a little good will, what harm can it do, huh? Who would've thought, a spoiled Noble brat like me could cook?"
Done setting the meat and fish out, Azreth grabbed a potato from Nik's hands and set to it with his dagger, peeling it before cutting it up and tossing it into the pot. "Gotta say, though, I'm interested to see what our Squad-Mates'll be like. Takes all sorts in the military. Makes you wonder." The boy set to a pile of carrots Nik set out for him, chattering almost non-stop; he was finally one step closer to achieving his dream, and nothing could sour his mood tonight.

Sebastian Leow I've spent my whole life serving you... ► The wind sure was up and blowing decently this night, as the cloaked figure stopped and inspected a little handout on the far side of town. The red-headed boy cracked a smile as his blue eyes lit up. Maybe he'd be able to see Az and Nick tonight... If he was careful about getting back and didn't get lost first, of course. He turned, pulling the hood of his cloak up as he began walking to the intended meeting spot.
His heart grew warm. It'd only been a couple weeks, but he'd been away from Master Azreth way too long, and he was ready to get back to his side.
"Run! Sebastian, run! We'll handle this!" Came Nick's voice as he swung into the trees with the use of his 3DMG machine. Sebastian didn't hesitate as he swung the black mare into the treeline before jumping off her back and letting her go. The horses they had gotten were not used to being around the massive giants, and so were uncontrollable when they appeared.
Still... It burned Sebastian's nerves to just be near them, so he took Nik's advice and booked it farther into the woods, leaving the din of them fighting behind, not even imagining that he'd get so lost.
Sebastian grimaced and shook his head as he picked up his pace, his stomach rumbling at the smell of cooking food. When had he last eaten? Two... three days ago? Azreth was the one who carried the money, as Sebastian didn't have any. His father had squandered all of theirs away and used it for his drinks, leaving Sebastian but nothing but Azreth's kind grace.
Turning the corner he stopped as the familiar builds of Nik and Azreth came into view. They were working their way around the fire, cooking what seemed like everything a store could carry. He calmly walked up behind Azreth, Nik's side to him, and grinned as Az listed off the foods that they were starting cooking. "Do you, by chance, have any cheese?"◄ And you think a stupid Titan is going to stop me? Talking: #4CB7A5

ANASTASIA ∮ LUDENBERG
╔══════════════════════════════════════╗
Anastasia clung to her bag looking around the training camp she would be staying for the next couple of weeks. She looked around, her expression making it apparent that she was uncomfortable. This young lady was used to the privileged life of nobility. She wasn't too happy about having to spend her time in these barracks, but she made the choice to come here. She had to commit to what she started after all. She wasn't a coward. She came here with a solid purpose. It may be nothing like revenge or a position in the military police or any of the sort. What she wanted was to broaden her horizons, learn everything she could about these Titans. She even thought of studying them, but knew voicing such an idea would only earn frowns and finger wagging. So for now, what she wanted was training, she would be stronger and use her talents to aid them in any way possible. That was just her goal, for now anyway.
Anastasia's train of though clashed with the aroma of food cooking in the air. She recognized the smell, a variety of meats all being cooked in an open fire. If done properly they could use the smoke to give it a more favorable taste. She followed the scent to it's source and was greeted by a familiar face. It was none other than Mister Azreth Deservian. Lord Deservian's son. She'd seen his face before in parties and social gathers back in the inner walls. Her father Earl Ludenberg, had mentioned their names on occasion. She didn't know him personally, they may have exchanged a greeting or two but never engaged in proper conversation. So it was safe to say she knew of him, and not knew him personally.
He was joined by another familiar face, although Anastasia couldn't fathom a name. She remembered seeing his face before but didn't know whether he was among the nobility, or just a regular person. She didn't know whether she was intruding to a private party, there was far too much food to only belong to two. Either they were expecting more, or it was for the new cadets. Anastasia herself hadn't received any invitation of sorts and stood there awkwardly, not knowing whether to walk past or introduce herself.
Straightening her back she stepped forward, her small frame illuminated by the soft orange glow of the flames and she stared down at the two older men. A frown on her lip, although it was not intentional in the least. The woman had a very difficult time expressing herself. Had she been able to express how nervous she was, the two would have laughed at how much she would be shaking. She opened her mouth to say something but immediately her voice cracked, causing her complexion to turn a shade of red.
Before they could utter a word she tried again, clearing her throat. I never expected to see your faces here. she said quite rudely, although the plan was to introduce herself, not make an a** of herself. The little lady mentally kicked herself in the stomach and screamed internally of what a complete idiot she was. She has some color on her cheek still and she glanced off to the side. What sort of party is this? Had you gotten permission from the brass to conduct such a feast here? she asked unintentionally wondering if she was invited.╚══════════════════════════════════════╝ ▂ ▃ ▄ ▅ ▆ ▇ █ NOW PLAYING█ ▇ ▆ ▅ ▄ ▃ ▂

“He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. - - - -

Suta would adjust his shoulder strap slightly, the sling having loosened over the day. His injuries were almost fully healed but he was still under orders to keep the strap on until it was full ready to go, but the thing was giving him a major shoulder cramp. You see he had gotten very close to the end of his cadet training when there was a slight....issue, regarding his behavior and a assault that happened in the district.
There is no real official story to it but Suta himself would know that he had to restart his training at least for a good reason. Even though he got injured the thieves themselves barely had gotten away with their lives so he was not overly angry at what had happened.
The young mans face though was as solemn and flat as ever, no real hint of emotions touching his cheeks or eyes. It was almost like looking at the face of the deceased as he made his way to the edge of the clearing where the cadets had gathered, his weapons secured tightly to his sides. His first weapon had broken when he was forced to fight so he had been given replacements, at least though he was able to pick what they were.
Instead of the typical kind of sword on his side he had what looked to be two hand scythes on either side that had been sharpened and created of the same metal the sword was. Even the blades themselves were detachable so they functioned virtually the same, he just preferred this design because it reminded him of the past. That was something he would not allow himself to forget.
With a slight wince as he bumped his shoulder he would sit down cross legged slightly away from all of them, his bright eyes fixated no where in particular. It was never his thing to start off a conversation with anyone, usually he just kept to the side and listened to people and kept it at that. He knew though that teamwork in this type of field was essential so there was no point in avoiding his allies forever.

♕xAZRETHx♕ couldn't believe what he heard, but there was no mistaking that voice -- nor the shameless request for cheese. He let out a loud whoop of pure, unadulterated joy and leaped to his feet, turning around and bodily tackling the young man behind him. "Sebastian, you slinky little b*****d!" Obscenities from a young Lord's mouth weren't to be tolerated under normal circumstances, but his kid brother was here, alive, back from the bloody dead! "Gods above, I thought I had lost you, kid." Azreth wrapped the younger boy in a crushing hug, tears stinging the corners of his eyes. He felt Seb's ribs creak beneath his arms, and the muffled protests slurred into his chest were unintelligible. After several tugs, Nik finally dragged the Lord off of his servant, and Azreth hurriedly turned towards the barrack's wall, scrubbing his eyes furiously. When he turned back around, no trace of tears were left, and he grinned wolfishly at his two friends, slapping them both on their backs. "Let's get this thing started then! And believe it or not, Seb, I actually do have cheese. In that bag there, by the carrots."
Azreth waved a hand, and let Nik and Seb settle themselves around the fire. The three were catching up on lost time when a young girl strode into the circle of firelight, and Azreth stood up and offered her a low, sweeping bow, snapping his cloak over his shoulder for effect. He'd seen her around at various functions in Stohess, but they'd never spoken before beyond polite pleasantries. "Lady Ludenberg, a pleasure to see you again. Please, sit. And yes, I did get permission from the brass -- wouldn't want to upset them even before training starts, right? I imagine you haven't had a taste of meat since leaving home, eh? Pity it's so expensive these days." Azreth grinned down at her, politely ignoring her choice of words and the blush suffusing her cheeks, as was only proper. "Let me know what you'd like and I'll be happy to cook it up for you, My Lady." Manners, manners, manners. Nineteen years of habitual protocol were hard to drop.
He set Anestasia's choice on the grill and set to work when another figure emerged from the night, though he didn't offer any greeting. Green eyes gave him a quick head-to-toe glance, noting the twin scythes at his hips. Interesting choice of weapon, those. The young Lord nodded politely at him, and motioned for Seb to grab some plates -- having lived together for so many years, Lord, Preacher's Son, and Servant worked flawlessly together. As Azreth pulled meat and fish off the grill, Seb put a plate under his hands to catch the protein and passed it along to Nik, who dished up a side of potatoes and carrots. Flawless.
"Welcome, Cadet. I'm Azreth Deservian. What'll you have?" As the young man sat, Azreth realized he was favoring his shoulder, and a small frown marred his brow. He passed the tongs to Seb, who took over for him on the grill without a word, and turned around, digging through his packs. "Ah, here it is." Lord Deservian padded around the fire to where the newcomer sat and pressed a small jar of what seemed to be ointment into his hands. "Put that on your shoulder twice a day, once every twelve hours. It stinks, but it does the trick to kick the pain, even if it's broken." He offered the black-haired youth a wry smile full of chagrin. "When you get hurt as much as I do, you never go anywhere without that foul-smelling paste."
Azreth played the gracious host wonderfully, just as he was taught; catering to his companion's needs, and keeping the conversation light -- avoiding politics and religion, naturally. Can of worms, those. He went back to his spot behind the grill, taking the tongs from Sebastian's small hands, and shot the servant a wink as he nodded to his pack. "Think there's something a bit stronger than water in those if you can find it, Seb. I'm sure our guests would appreciate something more than fire and good food to warm them up tonight."

Sebastian Leow I've spent my whole life serving you... ► Sebastian grinned and hugged Azreth back, grinning up at Nik from Azreth's shoulder. He let the young lord squeeze him, but when his ribs started to crack, he tried to pull back. Az... Az.. leggo... you're squishing me to death." He mumbled into the cloth of Azreth's shirt.
Thankfully, Nik pulled Azreth off of him and allowed Sebastian room to breath again. "I've been by your side since I was four years old, and you think I'd be stopped by a little Titan?' He teased as Azreth gathered himself. "I just... got a little lost, that''s all." He said, turning his head to hide his blush.
At the mention of cheese, though, Sebastian's stomach rumbled again, reminding him of his hunger, and he went to the bag that Azreth indicated and took out a small blocked of orange cheese, nicely aged and preserved.
Sebastian took his prize and settled down by the fire, talking animatedly with Nik and Az about what exactly it was that had happened to make them all loose track of each other. The discussion went on for a few moments before a small girl showed up, announcing herself rather rudely. Recognizing her from some of the gatherings that the lords and ladies would have, that Sebastian helped serve at, Sebastian dipped his head graciously. "Pleasure to meet you, Mildady." He said, standing until she settled down next to them.
Sebastian then turned and began helping Azreth prepare the dinners, just as another male joined them without a word. Sebastian sent a silent nod in the direction of the newcomer as he assisted, piling things here nad there, grabbing what Azreth needed, almost before he said it, and generally helping him prepare the meal. The two weeks they had been apart melting effortlessly as they got back into the routine of Master and Servant.
As all the plates were finished, Sebastian grabbed a piece of bread, one of the heels that was unfit for general use of Lords and Ladies, and settled back down to his cheese, that is, until Azreth asked him to find the wine in the bags. He stuck the piece of bread in his mouth, no need for formality when he was this hungry, and dug around until he found the bottle, which he handed to Azreth to serve, as was befitting his station as host.
He quickly ate down the rest of the bread and cheese and settled with his glass of water before turning to the two others, who he hadn't quite introduced himself to yet. "I am Sebastian Leow, Servant to the Deservian household, and now Cadet. It is a pleasure to meet you tonight. What brought you two to enlist?" He inquired politely, his tone of voice echoing his words that stated he was a servant.◄ And you think a stupid Titan is going to stop me? Talking: #4CB7A5

ANASTASIA ∮ LUDENBERG
╔══════════════════════════════════════╗
The young Mistress watched the older male bend forward with a bow befitting a proper gentleman of noble society. She noticed he was only eye level when he bend over and she was bitterly reminded of her height. How small she was, she knew someone would have mistaken her for a child had it not been for her developed body. She looked to the red head and knew not of him in the least. However she did nod her head once, as she would with anyone she didn't recognize. As Lord Azreth invited her to sit, her eyes shined a bit excited to be invited to sit and talk with them, but then a new worry pooled at the center of her stomach. Knotting and sending her nerves to quake. Now she had to think of something to say, and not scare them off with her mouth. She silently nodded for fear of saying something to make him regret his invitation. She set her bag down and carefully took a seat a bit aways, but close enough to talk to them. Do what you want with the meat, just make it delicious. she said. She was just hungry, and really wanted a taste of all the food.
She was known as a gourmet among her peers. Some called her a glutton, but it wasn't that she ate a lot. She was just picky, and only ate what was delicious. She was always happiest when she ate something delicious and warm. When flavors came together and became harmony in her mouth. She had even come to cooking herself, knowing many dishes. She thought it was strange for a person of nobility to do something that was "meant" for the servants, but she was pleased to find Lord Azreth was the same.
In a sense she sort of envied him. Having two very close friends and being able to speak well in front of others. He'd make friends in no time at all. All her mouth ever gave her was the cold shoulder. Anastasia could learn anything she wanted to, just by being told once. But to speak to a stranger and try to befriend them, was something she could never learn to do, no matter how many books she read.
As she was given the meat she took her plate and looked to him with a scowl. Yes, meat has become more of a luxury. However, it's not as if someone of our status couldn't attain it if we wished. she said. It's not so difficult to eat meat if I wanted to. However, I find myself not wanting to waste sources. she said taking a bite of the beef she was given. Her cheeks turned pink and her eyes shined like stars. Clearly she was happy, and thought the food to be delicious. The flavor tickled her taste buds pleasantly, and she held her cheek, tears forming in her eyes. It's so good... she sighed mentally.
Snapping out of her trance she turned beet red again and looked away. It's all right! My handmaid could have cooked it. she said claiming it was nothing special but continued to eat. She noticed the others in the circle and wondered whether she should speak with them. It was hard striking up a conversation to them. She didn't know what to say in the least.╚══════════════════════════════════════╝ ▂ ▃ ▄ ▅ ▆ ▇ █ NOW PLAYING█ ▇ ▆ ▅ ▄ ▃ ▂

Suta watched the people as they greeted one another, some more friendly then others, with his eyes darting from each of them a bit at the time. As the food was served around Suta made no real movement towards it or showed any large interest in it either.
When the man Sebastian spoke up though for the first time Suta's head would move towards him, listening to the questions as he pondered a proper response. As talking with people was never a strong suit of his he usually thought out what he was going to say before he said it, this usually led to far fewer awkward confrontations.
His voice finally spoke, a rather hollow if not fitting to his appearance tone, "My name is Sutako Toho. I come originally from outside of these walls....but was placed in the Rose district before I asked to enlist. I'm here to help humanity escape I suppose". Towards the end of his introduction his voice seemed to falter, a mixture of either fear or something more, as he shifted his head back to his original position.
After that he didn't really say or do much more besides just take in a few mental notes about each of them and allow them to go about in his head. It was always fun anaylising people, each one of them had their own quirks and prominent traits after all. He wondered though how all of them really were, deep down at least.

♕xAZRETHx♕ nodded a silent thanks to Sebastian as the younger boy passed him the skin of wine, followed by travel-friendly cups, in each which the young Lord poured a few fingers of wine before handing them back to Seb to pass out to the others. When the drinks were served and Sebastian seated back on his right -- "Seb's Spot" ever since they were kids -- Azreth ruffled his hair affectionately. He took a thick cut of tender, melt-in-your-mouth beef off of the grill and set it on a place, passing it to the red-haired youth. "You need to eat meat too, Sebby. Bread and cheese won't keep your energy up nearly enough."
The young Lord leaned back against the large rock and stretched out his legs, placing his expensive riding boots close to the fire to warm his feet. He let out a satisfied sigh as he sipped the vintage red wine, allowing the flavors to play on his tongue. Despite Ane's words, Azreth had seen the look of ecstasy on her face, and knew that she enjoyed the myriad of spices and traces of wood-smoke cooked into the beef. At her previous comment, though, the young Lord simply shrugged. "Sure, resources are getting more scarce, and the prices of meat is skyrocketing, but since Father was eate -- ah, since Father passed, I've more money than I know what to do with." Azreth remembered he was in the presence of a Lady, correcting himself, and chewed on the inside of his cheek, his eyes downcast. He'd trade all that money and more to have his Dad back. "I guess I figured if you have money, may as well buy something for everyone."
He lost himself in thought for a few moments, enjoying the warmth of Sebastian's shoulder against his own, but Suta's words soon drug his mind back to the present. "Well, pleased to meet you, Sutako." He loaded a plate with some slices of venison, beef, and mutton, and passed it to the black-haired young man, nodding. "Outside the walls, huh? That must've been tough." There was a trace of empathy in the Lord's green eyes, having experienced the dangers of being outside of Wall Rose personally. He heard the boy's words falter, but didn't judge him for it -- no doubt, everyone here had faced some sort of tragedy of their own. He couldn't blame him.
Azreth poured himself more wine and passed the skin to Seb, motioning the boy should pour some for himself as well, now that everyone had been served -- old habits were hard to break, but he knew the boy didn't begrudge him that. "So, Lady Ludenberg. Why did you join the Cadets? You don't seem to be the type to have fire in your blood, no offense meant." The young Lord turned to his right and glanced down at Sebastian, arching a perfectly-trimmed eyebrow. "And you. What in God's name were you thinking by joining? You hated the very thought of me joining since we were kids. What changed?"

Sebastian Leow I've spent my whole life serving you... ► Sebastian shook his head at the offering of meat as he sipped on his water. "I've never really liked the taste of meat, you know that Az." He said softly, though he knew Az and Nik both knew that that was a lie. But still, it was above his station to eat so well. Even as a Cadet.. He knew that the food there wouldn't nearly be as good as the cheese and bread he was used to, so he would simply enjoy that and worry about the rest later.
He nodded at Az, showing that he was fine and that he would not take the meat, no matter what Azreth said, and listened to the others talk as he tended the fire.
Looking into the fire and listening to those around him, almost reminded him of when he and Az were young.. Sebastian had been about ten... Actually he had been ten. It was the day after he had the broken arm. He and Az had gone 'camping' and sat around a fire, much like this one, only to run home cause Sebastian got scared of the night creatures in the woods around them.
Shaking his thoughts, Sebastian took the wine skin and looked at it. This.. This was something he actually had never tried before. He looked up at Azreth as if asking permission, and only took a sip... which in turn sent Sebastian coughing and sputtering into the fire. "That is blasted disgusting, Azreth!" He hollered as he wiped the wine off of his face, his blue eyes clenched shut as he tried to get past the disgusting taste.
Finally he calmed down and quit coughing and was able to take a drink of water to try and wash down the taste. "My apologies, Milady.. That was extremely rude of me..." He said, looking at her and blushing in embarrassment before turning to Az.
After everything settled back down, Azreth, true to his nature, had begun the conversation again and was talking easily with the others, before asking Sebastian why he had joined. "Simply, Milord. You joined. As your servant, I cannot very well leave you. As your friend.. I was scared of your welfare. Should something happen, I would rather be there to see it and believe it, than be told second hand..." He answered honestly. ◄ And you think a stupid Titan is going to stop me? Talking: #4CB7A5

ANASTASIA ∮ LUDENBERG
╔══════════════════════════════════════╗
Anastasia chewed delicately at her meal. She ate like a mouse, small bites for her small mouth. She focused her attention to Sutako and noticed how void of emotion he was all together. He was one of those "silent" types she had heard so much about. Her cheeks rosy, and her eyes focused she stared at the male with a near cat like curiosity, as if he were some rare animal. She was interrupted by Azreth when he asked her why she joined the military. It was a question he had hoped to avoid, but knew it would have been impossible otherwise. She didn't have some sob story, nor did she had some noble reason to enlist.
I want to learn. she replied exuding confidence. There isn't much we know about the Titans. All I know is from what I've heard or read in books. So, I want to see one up close. she replied ready to be ridiculed or berated. She looked to Sebastian as he explained why he joined and actually perked a slight smile. The bond between the two was apparent and shined brightly in the darkness. Brighter than the burning flames that kept them warm. It was beautiful to watch.
As he tasted the wine and spat it out Anastasia was shocked and jumped before he apologized. She then frowned and raised a brow. Enough. I do wish you would drop the "Milady" this and "Milady" that. We're in the military now, there isn't any need for titles like those here and now. We're on equal standing here so call me by my name! she said loudly. It could have been taken rudely but she was trying to tell him he shouldn't be so humble and self concious around her. Her title meant nothing here, nor did it on the battlefield. It was best to move past that and see eachother as equals.
Blushing again the young lady drank the wine, taking small sips since she had low tolerance for alcohol. To be drinking alone with men, what would they say had about her if they had known? This was frowned upon in society, but she was not a Lady here. Here she was just Anastasia. She drank and cleared her throat having drank a bit fast.╚══════════════════════════════════════╝ ▂ ▃ ▄ ▅ ▆ ▇ █ NOW PLAYING█ ▇ ▆ ▅ ▄ ▃ ▂

Nik had been excited at Seb's reappearance, even grinning as he'd had to (as per usual) he'd had to pull Kes off of his servant to keep the guy from getting crushed to death. For a moment, he'd put his own arm around the younger boy, squeezing him gently before going back to working on the carrots, potatoes and whatever else Kes had in his magic bag of his this night.
The arrival of a young girl, though once in the firelight he realized she wasn't quite so young as he'd first thought, at first had him pleasantly surprised, but her harsh words instantly gave him a different impression. She was clearly noble-birth, probably pampered...what the hell was she doing here? He kept one eye on her, not with any sort of sexual interest - her tone and attitude killed anything that MIGHT of sparked - but with the interest of she'd be one of the people he'd have to work with. His personal opinion was betting just how long she'd last.
The next to appear, a young man who looked more dead than alive - least emotionally. It was a look he wasn't unfamiliar with, mostly seen in those that had lost quite a few loved ones in various titan attacks. They go about the day like wind up toys, merely doing the motions. He couldn't help but wonder what had happened to him, and wasn't surprised Kes pulled out that nasty smelling paste - though even he had to admit it worked wonderfully, even if you couldn't quite get the smell out of your nose for near a week after using it.
Quietly, working at serving up the vegetables for everyone, nibbling on a small piece of venison, he was a bit surprised at Seb's outright asking them why they'd joined - it was a question he thought Kes would of asked instead. Their answers were interesting - Ana (could he call her Ana?) wanted to learn about the monstrocities. Looking towards her, he said, raising his glass in greeting as he settled back with his own plate and wine, he said, "Just be careful. Curiosity's a dangerous thing if you let it get out of hand. I applaud you wanting to learn first hand. That speaks of courage."

❝I look back on yesterday, the person that I was, A little five-year old catching ladybugs.❞
❝I look at today, the person that I am, An idiotic teenager shooting soda cans.❞
❝I look forward to tomorrow, to the person I will be, Raising my own child to be just like me.❞░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Nobles. They all had it easy didn't they? Alistar had a mind of black and white when it came to them. The higher ups either helped their people or they gourged into all the food they could want while the poor were starving. He wondered exactly what these particular specialties were like as the cadet made his way through the barracks with a distasteful frown having heard of a few joining the ranks. The place definately wasn't to his liking when it came to pure looks. Expecting nice living quarters wasn't to much to ask for, for someone of his extreme standards. They didn't even really have mirrors hanging around for him to lavish his good looks and make an epic appearance to the group. Despite relying on metallic objects to use as a his checkups, or in this case checkpoints to all his salon stops, Alistar still managed to ruffle his hair about and fix his clothes.
Delicious scents started to peak around the camp drawing his attention over in the direction of a fire, the smoke billowing as it stretched his warm grasp for the clouds. Instantly, the male made his way over holding his head high and proudly, as if he were someone highly respected and known around the entirity of the camp, but he was nothing of the sort. His presence normally made people migrate in large groups to an 'uncontaminated' area where the likes of him were nowhere to be seen. This didn't discourage him though. One day, everyone would see him for the great hero he would become, a living legend that could do anything and everything that the people wished of him, and be loved by all. That was his goal.
"Courage!" Alistar butted in overhearing one of the recruits speaking to a girl that reminded him much of a ten year old. "If you want to know a thing about courage, then take a look at everyone in camp. We've all signed up. We've all got the stuff. However, none more so than me." He declared assuredly before starting up his next great speech. "I mean great looks are one thing, but having courage and bravery to top it all off is another! I'll beat all the nobles!" Practically declaring his probably one-sided war with everyone in camp, regardless if they were a noble or not. ↘↘↘
