Personality: Coral is a very shy, withdrawn young fellow with very phobic tendencies towards blood and water. A cry baby, it takes a lot to calm him down once he's scared. He's very naive and doesn't understand certain things well. Despite his fearful nature he is a naturally cuddly person and can show strong devotion to some people.
Bio: Coral was born at a sea to a mother of his own breed, his father was serpentine in appearance though. Because he was the only male in his pod he was a treasured boy and lived a comfortable life until around the age 14. His parents began to lead the pod out to shallow waters to rejoin bigger groups and one day strange humans on the shore were present just watching them.

Coral made the mistake of being friendly and was grabbed by these men, his father stepped in try to calm the humans peacefully but ended up being attacked as well. The fight escalated the point of killing one of his sisters and severely injuring and breaking Corals' horns so badly they couldn't regrow. His parents ultimately were left with no choice but to use brute strength on the humans and in their confusion Coral and a few of the young girls were taken. There was never any word on if they lived or died fighting for him. Coral lastly saw both his parents summoning waves to drown the remaining men, having never seen blood shed before Coral immediately developed a fear of the 'red water' and water in general.

Until the age of 16 Coral and the girls loved in a state of constant fear and tension when he realized these humans belonged to a team bigger and worse than the ones he was used to. These people only wanted to use them then kill them for research which was a growing issue. Coral suffered hard at the hands of these men, but he also tried to defend the females captured with him who in turn would defend him tenfold. They all eventually died being younger than Coral in the torture and experiments that would then be redirected to the lone male of the pod. The last six months Coral spent there was what really broke the poor boy, all of his attacks had been defensive and being unable to battle due to the passive nature of his pod Coral had no choice but to fight back at the end. The last thing that happened opened a floodgate of terror in the boy, he remembered his parents using surf and despite his fears he wished to drown the men who took him, he wished so hard he was able to summon a wave despite being unable to move and strapped down that crashed men into walls, broken glass and mauled bodies.

The sheer commotion caused police to investigate the area uncovering a huge operation and several other creatures similar to him. The little pink haired boy who started it all was left in the room, red water dripping from the walls and floors and bodies broken crying and wailing of his wrongdoings. Immediately though his life took a turn for the better, the boy was transferred to a mental facility at the age of 16. Battered, bruised and terrified he bonded with a male doctor and a another who the first night ended up taking the boy protectively to his own room and let him sleep curled up in his arms. The bond he would form with them would be what helped the boy recover from his physical injuries and get him to the point that he could leave his room and be social within a couple years.
Note/other: Coral loves the color pink. He cannot stand being in or around water and can live outside it just fine. Because his species doesn't practice incest in pods and most pods are made up of family members (they're also more often than not all female) males are able to bear children. Coral goes into a breeding cycle twice in the summer, twice in spring, once in fall and none during the winter.

Personality: Adrian is fairly passive if not a bit shy in personality. Despite a quiet nature he is prone to mild fits of anger though they end as suddenly as they start. He's very sweet if not insecure and similarly to Coral he is somewhat clingy in nature and quite fond of the younger male.
Bio: Adrian belong to a pod that intermingled with Corals'. The two were always close friends up until the time the boy was captured. Adrian waited a long time for him to return but eventually he grew tired of waiting and went ashore to find him by himself. It was then he found himself captured and located Coral in the same shop.
Note/other: Adrian has retractable fins on his arms that look much like a Betta fishes' fins. These are also visible along his hips. To the untrained eye the spots from which his fins emerge appear to be blue patches of freckling.
