Jordan jolted awake, riding a shadowbeast, somebody clapping him on the back and laughing at him, not unkindly - this was - hadn't he done this before? The building ahead looked familiar in a deja-vu kind of way.
The world paused briefly. Skipped, with the sense of someone talking, but when everything resumed, not quite seamlessly, he couldn't remember what had happened, or if anything had. He looked around. That was right. He and his teammates had a map, and they were going in to fight the Forces of Evil.

Rep didn't like riding animals. He was a ******** dragon, he ate burden beasts for breakfast, he didn't climb around on them. As it was he was pretty damn uncomfortable astride the creatures. And there was also that definite sensation of deja vu, as if he'd been there before.
He checked his companions and frowned. Jordan didn't look right at all.
He was pretty sure he had a pet horse, he just couldn't remember what had happened to it. He held the reigns with thick, shadowy gloves, resenting the cheery forest.
"That it ahead?" He grunted.

'Aymet' glanced up from his horse and yawned loudly. How many times were they going to have to do the same takes over and over and over? It was a movie, not a Da Vinci masterpiece, for crying out loud!
"Are we there yet," he mumbled to the other riders, trying to rub the sleep out of his eyes while avoiding the black sclera contacts.
Time stopped.
Someone was talking to him, someone who seemed rather out of the element here on set. He was sure he'd remember anyone dressed like that.
Time resumed.
He blinked. "You know what, just let me know when we get there. I'm going to try some exercises."
"Red leather yellow leather. Red leather yellow leather. Red leather yellow leather."

"I think that's it," Jordan nodded. "Are we going to -"
An arrow sprouted out of the throat of one of their shadowy travel companions, and Jordan gasped. "They're here!" Somebody shouted about taking cover, and that sounded like a good idea; he hadn't had a chance to transform yet. He slid off his horse. "Be careful, guys! You're my important people and I don't want you to get hurt!"
The shadowy companions split off towards the greenery, hunting for the unseen bowmen; a figure clanked out into the middle of the road to face the party.
With a thud and a clank, the shadow Knight readies its blade. It says nothing, but it doesn't need to. Not when it is fighting with murderous intent!

Suddenly there was a hail of arrows from above and Rep leapt from the shadowy creature in a single fluid arc, tail held out for balance, wings spread, landing nimbly.
When the knight made himself known the scythe was summoned in a heartbeat and Rep leapt towards the unfortunate figure, swinging the weapon in a huge arc, clattering it against armour with a snarl. He ******** hated knights, hated them in a deep and primal way. He'd cook the b*****d in his armour if he had his natural form any longer.

Shadow flames raced up Harrison's oversized sword.
"That's more like it," he said, and with a sharp and satisfied expression, brought the sword straight through the knight's middle.
"Talk about canned meat."

'Aymet' looked down at the pair of guns holstered on his costume. He reached for them, then stopped and reconsidered, looking toward Jordan as the most likely candidate for on-set director.
"Look... what with this whole 'medieval' vibe, are you sure you want me fighting with guns? Absolutely sure?"

It was time. Jordan struck his pose, throwing one hand dramatically into the air, fingers outstretched. "Star Power Transform!"
Nobody had ever adequately explained to him why it was that the world seemed to pause while the magic swirled down and out of his ring, making the world into an oddly colorful and sparkly void as his clothes reconfigured themselves into what he thought of as The Outfit. He'd initially been embarrassed about the lacy little skirt and puzzled as to why anyone would wear sleeves that weren't actually attached to the shirt they belonged to, but over time he'd grown more comfortable with himself. It didn't make him any less effective while fighting, and the kittenlike magical beast who'd brought him the bracelet in the first place had explained that the magic chose its own shape depending on what was in your heart.
He chose not to think too hard about that part.
The transformation ended with a sparkle of light off the tiny hovering crown that accompanied the outfit, and he spun dramatically, lashing out with the shining whip to strike at the knight. "I'll banish you to the dark place from whence you came!"

Harrison polished the unfortunate knight off, before it had to witness any more horrors.
He looked absolutely stricken.
Especially at the sparkles. He backed away, an arm up to shield his eyes.
"Jordan, what- what the jack is that?"
Maybe the demon had gotten into some bad magic. Or...been cursed. Was it catching?

Rep knew ******** shinies when he saw them, snapping out of his daze at Jordan - seriously dude what the jack was he doing in that getup in public? - and making his way over to the fallen creature to retrieve his hoard.
Of course he chose the shiniest one.
He did pause periodically to look over at Jordan, before raising a brow at Aymet. "Do you have any idea what the hell is wrong with him?"
"Hey, where'd that guy go all of a sudden?" The guy in the knight costume was nowhere to be found. "I think he dropped something."

Harrison smirked.
"The junkyard."
He snuck a glance at Jordan, then coughed.
"No, uh, sorry, yeah, it looks-" he covered his expression by stooping to get treasure, "fashionable." Demons were always dressing in frilly stuff, he shouldn't judge... the sparkles were really hard to look at without recoiling.
