Another one of these damn things. Unthinkingly, instantly, the guns were drawn, and Amity was dispatching rounds, and part of him hoped Coyote would be satisfied and part of him wished he didn't care, and the rest of him was occupied with trying not to think too hard about what he was doing. These fights were getting harder and harder to stomach. The guns were ******** boss, and Coyote was jealous of them. Of course, by now she had a weapon of her own, not as cool as duel pistols, but better then nothing. She charged in, short ax raised in one hand, and drove the blade into the front of the screen. When she hopped back she gave Amity a grin, incredibly pleased by both his initial attack and her own hit. Better the monsters than him, though. He tried to remember what he'd felt like in the Descent, but those emotions and that memory had been someone else's. All he felt was faint distaste. Even the personal satisfaction he'd initially felt at actually being able to do damage, when he'd gotten the pistols, had left him. It just felt like a dirty chore, now. She got no grin in return. Whatever Amity'd been doing in his absence, it had made him go from grumpy to grim. He didn't even seem to want to be showing off any more. There was no gloating over the pistols, just a mechanical sense of following some rote script. Wyng had been wandering the cliffs in the World's Edge, when she heard a ruckus beneath her. Looking down, she saw two shadows being attacked by a monster. Since they were not too far beneath her, she leaped off and plunged her daggers into the monster's side as she fell tearing two long rents down its back. As she landed on the ground it fell. Evidently she had unknowingly supplied the finishing blow. And then, with a dramatic entrance and with suddenness, the fight was over, and Amity was standing somewhat stupidly with his guns hanging at his sides.
"We had it under control," he snapped, because it was easier to be a jerk than to say thank you.
He went to claim his share of the goods, feeling vaguely sick as he did so.

Pale eyes rolled at amity's inability to be nice, and she gave his arm a quick jab before pushing at his back. To the new comer that had offered help she smiled. "Thank you, that was a good hit. Excuse my friend, he's a jerk."
She kept pushing at his back, though paused briefly to scoop up some loot.
