These things, Ixy had realized, were absolutely everywhere. No matter where she went, she was bound to run into one of these creatures eventually, and the "hello" creature--as she and many others had dubbed it--was among the most frequent ones she found herself running into.
She would have liked to pass through quietly had it not spotted her first, trotting towards her as it robotically greeted her over and over like a broken recorder.
...Maybe its recorder--or voice box--was broken. Perhaps a light smack to the back of the head would fix that?

Solliette's core thrummed, restless. For some reason, ever since that blessing, she was having more and more trouble staying still. She needed something to keep her occupied, and so the battlefield seemed like as good an option as any.
She'd lost here once before. She wouldn't let that happen again, now that she had a weapon.
The enemy was different this time. Was it greeting her? "Hello!" Solliette chirped. She raised her sword. "Sorry about this. I'm going to have to hit you for awhile." Zurie looked around curiously. Her blue eyes staring at the strange figures that all the other shadows were fighting. Until she stumble upon two other girls fighting a strange doll thing. Her head tilted and she grasped onto the staff and jumped into the battle.
"Hey guys! What are these things..?"

Iron jumped in, guns blazing.
...really the scatter shot technique wasn't any more effective than point and pull...
He grazed the creature, and the rest of the shots went dangerously wide. But at least not at Reap, this time.

Reap was pretty glad he didn't get shot at this time. It let him attack the creature without mortal terror.

My, so many people all of a sudden. Ixy lifted a hand in acknowledgment before glancing over towards the first girl--the one who had chirped a greeting back to their opponent. Might as well introduce herself, right? "Hi there! Since we'll be fighting together anyways...I'm Ixyguin. Could I get your name?"
Her attention shifted to the other girl next, and she simply shook her head. "Honestly, your guess is as good as mine. All I know is that these things are everywhere."

"No idea what it is," Solliette responded offhandedly. She grinned at the girl who introduced herself. "Hey, new people! Hi! I'm Solliette! Nice seeing you!"

"Reap" he grunted, though he doubted the others really cared what his name was. He was just another figure on the wasteland competing for scraps. He didn't actually bother hitting the thing, just backed right up to stand beside Iron.

She made an effort to commit the names to memory, silently matching them with each figure. It didn't hurt to have more acquaintances around these parts after all, especially since running into them while fighting seemed to be a common theme.
Fairly confident that she had gotten all of their names down, she turned to eye the "hello creature" again, staring at it thoughtfully. Well, if she catch it while it had its back turned to her--

"Cool names." Solliette said. Like Ixyguin, she looked at each of her temporary companions in turn, trying to place the names to faces. It was easier to keep track of faces, now.
The glance was a bit more cursory, however, as she was very clearly excited about being able to fight 'properly'.
"Is this a thing around here? Fighting a lot? This thing looks like it's going to fall over soon, so -- do you think we're going to see other again sometime?" "Reap and Ironshare... "She grins widely and slashes at the Hello Machine violently. She's very perky for the fight that they're doing. Some how she seems to be full of strength and vitality.
"It seems like you two know what you're doing.. unlike us." She laughs loudly and pulls back to stand near the group.
"I don't get what's going on. But it's interesting. "

"Heh, we might. The realms aren't too big," Iron said.
And if there was some kind of big trial or task, he had a feeling everybody might meet up again soon. But when it would happen, it was hard to say.
He shot the cat-thing right in its chest.
