It was finally starting to take it's toll on Reap, there was only so much blind murdering someone could do before it lost its lustre and started to become difficult and tiring, until questions presented themselves and could not be answered.

Whatever was getting to Reap was getting to Ironshare, for reasons he couldn't explain. He didn't mind the attacking, and the breaking up. But he minded Reap's heart getting so weighed down.
He gave the creature an exemplary and overenthusiastic stab, giving Reap a small mouth-tightening.
See? It was okay.
....this wasn't working.

Loa kept fast on the heels of the others, no matter how distracted or concerned they got. He wasn't sure why he had to follow them, but he still knew it was right on some level. So he continued to do it.

Reap gave Iron a sad and dismal look, like a dog in the rain. He appreciated the effort and deeply, deeply wanted to smile, wanted to be cheerful for him. But this wasn't working, at all.
He let the attack glance from him in the hope even that might motivate him into action.
It didn't, and his swing with his blade was pathetic.
While the two yellows were talking, Velmin moved over to slash at the creature and step back. Frowning at the tall one with the fluffy coat (He wondered how it felt), he turned to Loa. They had gotten their weapons together, and he felt closer to him because of that.
"Were you with the other yellows for a long time? Where were you guys? We were near the Shrine with all the water and ruins. I didn't see any yellows there. Does your goddess keep you somewhere else?" He was curious to know more about them.

Loa was trying to listen to the conversation of the other yellows in hopes of gaining a greater insight into himself while this strange guy was asking him things and all while fighting a creature covered in arms and well... it worked out about as well as trying to wash your dog with pig manure.
"For a while," Loa answered as he went in. "No water. It was a city and it rained stuff that burned," was his answer as he was grabbed by many hands again. "Ruins!" was his reply as they attempted to sink their nails into him in unison.

A pair of blades sliced deep into the creature and it spurted steam and mist as it was held up in place by the blades before Velmin yanked them out and watched them clatter. This was fun! He was getting more colors and being around other people.
But the other yellow was getting frantic. What was his name. Reap?
"Plenty! There is the goddess and what she knows and gives, and finding about these colors, and meeting new people like you. There are cookies, and little lights that make noises for reasons I don't know." He knelt down, setting his hands on the creature's face and petting it.
"There is being alive and then not like the time before the door. There are also other things to find. Things not yet found. You just can't see them yet or find them yet. I know there is, because I didn't know about yellows before a while ago and now here you are. " He was sure of it. He had to find the thing, and he knew his blue heart yearned to find it somewhere out there.
He petted the head of the creature again, not liking how dangerous it was, but what answers it might have. It came to them with parts to make weapons, and yet was driven somehow to them. " There is also a place that rains things that burn and I just learned that. I find out there is more just each moment I'm alive." And he was alive. He knocked his head against the head of the monster and then turned his head but heard nothing. It wasn't like the fragments, but he knew other ones could speak. The cat and the big screen did. He kept his head titled, a mop of gray hair falling to the side and his blue pendant dangling off his neck, shining like his heart. "I like being alive. Don't you?" And he wouldn't let this thing take that. The goddess must have the answers to how he was alive and what he was looking for. He just had to keep living to find out. He liked finding out more. It gave him things solid to think about and know about. The world didn't seem confusing that way.

"Uh. I don't-" He looked at Reap, half-asking for help, then back down again, shaking his head, "I don't know. But I'll find out. I will."

Velmin, was telling him there were things to live for, things that weren't battle, colours and knowledge, meeting people and lights. All of those things felt distant to Reap. Colours were power, power was death, knowledge was sorrow, other people was suspicion and the lights brought little that wasn't pain. Finding things held a terror greater than the permanence of death. He envied the other figure and his optimism, his curiosity, but he did not feel it.
"I don't know if I like it." he admitted. "I don't know if I like it at all. The more I see the less I believe it is a good thing."
He felt cruel for asking the question in the first place, for demanding such a thing from Iron who clearly knew no more than he did.
"I like being with people, I don't want to go away." And he did. Most people. Not the suspicious question-askers. Not the scavengers. He mirrored Iron's previous look, as if seeking for help he couldn't define "I just.. I just..."
He gulped and shook his head, stooping again to gather further items from the fallen creature and to pocket them without much care. As he did so there was a sudden flash of light and he jumped, startled backwards as his sword twisted and shifted, red surrendering its light to yellow, sharp and wicked and dangerous. Changed.
He stared at it in surprise, losing his train of thought. "What the <********>

Loa moved over to fetch his share now that it had been picked over by the leaders. More blues. He listened to Velmin go on and on before holding up a free hand, "Easy man. I'm Loa by the way..."
He moved over towards Reap and Iron to admire the newly formed weapon in Reap's possession. His eyes may have lit up with delight. "Good on ya man. You are awesome." That... felt familiar. "You too," He looked to Iron.

"Ah.........sorry." He went quiet instantly, picking at the machine as the others gathered. A group of yellows. It didn't feel right. He liked the protection, but he desired something else. It curled inside him, telling him that despite what he had in his pockets, in his hands, and around him, it wasn't it. It was like having a seed in his gut that wanted something, called out for it, longed for it, but he didn't know what it wanted to grow and be happy.
Maybe yellows didn't understand this?
He looked up in time to see the weapon of Raep's twist and turn from Red to Yellow. The color bits changed colors? He wanted to go over and ask and look, but he stayed by the melting mist and picked out some parts, deciding to stay by himself.
Maybe he should find some blues?
