'hello.... hello....' A voice came from the shadows. "Awww! Aren't you cute." Zauus said as she walked over to give it a pet on the head. Bad Idea. The cat hissed and swung at her, knocking her back a bit. She got up and realized it was the same as those monitor monsters. Except this one seemed... different. She landed a punch but did little damage to it. He'd watched a couple of these tussles go down, huddling in the shadows of wrecked cars and boarded doorways. Twice now he'd actually gotten to his feet, feeling a helpless compunction to do something. But this time, for whatever reason, he did. Third time's the charm. The thing had claws. And it gave worse than it got. He didn't say a word to anyone around him. Talking felt, somehow, superfluous. "Zauus!" Zihyu called out as she ran up and then she shouted something else incoherent out of surprise.
Oh right monsters were a thing. She also recognized the other person that called Zauus by name. The third was a mystery to her.
Either way the creature turned to her and swiped and all Zihyu could think to do was swipe at it back. Very weakly swipe.

"Ah! Zihyu! Ixy! And Reheats too! Hi there!" She said excitedly but it was a bad idea. With another hit, she took more damage. She flopped onto the ground, her tailbone landing onto the concrete first. She attempted to punch the cat back but it just gave an unchanged 'Hello.... hello...' as it continued on its rampage. Apparently being a jerk came naturally, too. He wasn't doing any better than them, too leery of the thing's teeth to get a good swipe in.
