xxxAND SO... Minoru and Misaru Oda were born into the purest family in the age of the worst war. The first, and only, recorded set of twins in Oda history were the products of Denji Oda and his wife Yukio Oda. Both parent's held high regards in the clan. For Denji was the youngest son in the Main Oda family branch and Yukio Oda was one of the few females in the clan that possessed the Kousiton kekkei genkai. Once Denji learned of this he found it only fitting for her to be his wife, turning down the bride that was betrothed to him since birth. As the days of war approached the Oda clan, Katashi and Shiori forced their children to flee the country sending their youngest son to Kirigakure. To much protest of Denji he and his young wife traveled to the Village hidden in the Mist. The two settled in, had Minoru and Misaru, and attempted to live normal lives. Five months after the twins were born the Oda family had been tracked down and ambushed.
Fire danced across the walls of the family's house as lightning smashed through the walls. The bitter taste of the surrounding foes became all too strong as they began closing in on Denji and Yukio's family. The flames engulfed the house, spreading through each room. Before the flames could drive the family out of hiding Denji forced Yukio to flee the village with their two children. Using a wide array of Kousiton techniques, Denji killed off most of the attackers and granted his wife and children an exit. The techniques came with a price however and because of the large amounts of deadly flowers he consumed in such a short time span he perished. Yukio, using her opening wisely, fled to Sunagakure with her twin boys.
Eight years passed since Denji's death and Yukio continued her life in Sunagakure working as a florist. Minoru and Misaru quickly shined in the village and stood above their class both growing into their own people. Minoru was extremely knowledgeable, calculating, and slightly devious. He can be quite the scheming person, although his actions would always prove to be for the benefit of all. He delt with others in a very civil and pleasant manner, always keeping his cool. Minoru almost always had a pleasant smile on his face in the presence of others. He became extremely observant and gained a habit of keeping the information he acquires to himself for his amusement or just to watch the way things act out. Misaru on the other hand grew into an overly happy ninja. He began to come off as clueless and dimwitted but it's just a ploy to hide his intelligence. He tended to always be happy and energetic though he could be angered rather easily, making him a rather intimidating shinobi. When angered Misaru is quiet, violent, and a bit bloodthirsty. Though he does have a darker side Misaru is typically happy-go-lucky and smiling. He doesn't like to upset anyone or get on anyone's bad side. Behind his cute personality lies a temperamental, highly skilled ninja.
Worried that the twins would give them away Yukio created scrolls of each and every Kousiton technique that she knew in hopes that the twins would be able to learn even if something happened to her. Life was looking up for Yukio and her boys. The war was (apparently) over and though most of her family were dead now, things were still looking up. For the time being her family was safe. Though with all things that go up...it's only a matter of time before they fall once more. After a hard day of training at the academy Minoru and MIsaru visited their mother at her job. Her boss, Ms. Fuzen, had a deep hatred for the boys. Feeling that they were stealing the spotlight from her son she usually did her best to plot against the boys and on that day she decided to go through with her plans. While Yukio was tending to the garden in the back of the large shop Ms. Fuzen offered the boys a flower telling them that it held a special property that would restore their energy and chakra, making them the healthy version of food pills. Not knowing that they were actually extremely deadly plants who's nectar contained a quick acting poison Minoru and Misaru accepted. Yukio walked back in just in time to watch her boys eat the plants. Tears in her eyes she rushed over to the boys hoping to get them to spit up the plants before their bloodline had time to process the toxic chemicals.
Minoru and Misaru began producing an intoxicating scent and vomited twice but other than that didn't seem affected by the flowers. Yukio instantly quit her job and ran back to their house with the twins; frantically packing. Terrified, worried, and slightly nauseated Minoru and Misaru joined in packing their belongings. In the middle of the night the family fled the Village Hidden by Sand and set up a camp to rest far from the city walls. It was here that Yukio informed her children of their painful history. As if timing was everything the moment she finished her story a bitter taste washed over the mouths of the three Oda clan members. Yukio ran as far as she could with the boys before she could feel the enemies closing in. She stopped to say her final farewells to the boys and then commanded them to continue without her. Both twins protested but in the end it was Minoru who saw the bigger picture and dragged Misaru with him. She told them of a cousin in Konohagakure that could take care of them. They headed towards Konoha but stopped at a small village in the Land of Rivers once the sweet taste of their mother became impossible to detect meaning one thing... Battling through grief the twins made it to Konoha within a weeks span and located their older cousin Hanamori Oda. Living with her they learned more about the Oda history and graduated the Academy at the age of nine. 。
