Berit was practically thrilled by the announcement that had been broadcast throughout the realm. Sure an escaped toxic manifest was bad but at least it was something interesting. In the few days since she had hatched not a whole lot of anything had happened so far as the dragon girl was concerned.life was moving at an abysmally slow pace.

Now though there was plenty of action and Berit was even allowed in on it. She was still getting the hang of the whole 'being alive' thing but she could hunt eggs for sure. The teen had keen eyesight and anything that looked out of place got close scrutiny from her. Perhaps if she did something spectacularly heroic they'd give her a nicer apartment or make her that really cool fish skewer thing from her hatching day.

The sudden motion caught Berit's attention and her eyes narrowed as she moved to approach the fallen figure. Was this the mystery manifest? Nope just Eidel, well that was disappointing. Still despite not being who or what she was looking for Berit continued towards the other girl and reached a hand out to help. " Be careful, you could get hurt, or squish the missing eggs." The idea of squished eggs made Berit unhappy and a shiver ran through her from the top of her head to the tips of her tail.

Berit spread her wings to help keep her balance as she helped the other girl get to her feet. She nodded at the questioning of her name, yep she was Berit, the one and only, at least for now anyways. She supposed a clone could always hatch or something weird like that. Evil clones seemed kind of cool based on the movies she'd watched that starred them.

" I was going for a walk because I was bored," she replied to the bluish skinned girl. "Now I'm trying to find the missing eggs." No need to mention a potential reward and give Eidel any ideas of competing with her for it. Although the idea of competing itself was a nice one.

Berit supposed help was a good thing at least then any reward they got had to be shared. " Sure, four eyes is better than two." They'd be able to search twice as fast now. " Any guesses on the best area to search." Some manifests seemed to have a keen intuition about things, Berit couldn't remember if Eidel was one of them or not but it couldn't hurt to ask.

"I wouldn't go around flying if I was trying to hide," Berit pointed out, " I think we're good to stick with mostly ground stuff." Which was for the best since asking Eidel to climb was probably asking for trouble. Berit was a decent climber, provided she could keep her various extra limbs from catching on things. The staff that cared for the night fury girl did not seem bothered by her tendency to try and scale great heights, although certain landmarks in the realm were off limits for various reasons. One day though Berit would be able to fly and perch atop them anyways.

Narrowing her eyes in concentration Berit began her search anew. "I'm sure we'll find some." Even if they were essentially staring at the grass and ground, looking for signs of shiny egg shells, it was still being productive.

Berit jumped at the unexpected contact then turned to see what had the other manifest stammering. She was totally.. maybe.. ready for a fi-, huh it was an egg! " Good job, you found one," the dragon girl exclaimed, tail flicking excitedly behind her. She wasn't entirely sure why that had concerned the other girl though. Okay so the egg was black and Berit was pretty sure they didn't normally come in that colour but you know it was just an egg. No one had ever been hurt by an egg to the best of her knowledge.

"We should take it back to the technicians as soon as possible, " she stated firmly, taking a step forward and trying to pull the other manifest with her. Berit wanted her reward, plus she didn't want her fellow manifest inside the egg to get hurt if they left the egg out here in the open too long.
