 1. Follow ToS - Have common sense.
2. Do not steal the art. - Don't claim it as your own, Don't revise it.
3. Roleplay Required. - Our requirements are pretty lax despite the requirements for growth. Just one journal entry/solo or RP post a month is the bare minimum to keep your character. However if you have a Mundane character, this is not RP required but it will stay at stage 1 forever.
4. Stay active. - We wont take away your character and will only rehome it if you've been gone an extended amount of time. If you want your character to grow, you will need to complete your RP requirements in a timely fashion (don't leave your partner hanging!) and show interest in the development of your character and not 'rush' through the requirements getting to the next stage.
5. Co-Owning is not allowed. - It confuses us if two or more people RP a RP a character. Plot and personality complications are the last things we need. Co-owning will not be allowed under any circumstances. Just no.
6. Respect people in the shop. - Don't start flame wars, don't hate on people. If you are going to start drama, be mature and take it to PMs. There is zero tolerance for drama in this thread.
7 . Read all the information in the frontpage (& guild if possible). - We slaved and worked over all this knowledge for your benefit.

1. Follow the Daisy Code.
2. Familiarize yourself with the story of De Civitate Nocte.
3. Use your common sense and courtesy when you roleplay.
4. Please log your RPs in your journal. - We don't want to look for them.
5. Use standard English when Roleplaying - No text speak, no chat speak, etc. etc. You don't have to follow all the grammar rules but just type in a way that people know what you're saying without having to think about what you're saying too hard.
6. No God-Modding. - your character might be a god, but gods are just another creature in this shop they don't rule the other characters or create universes. Offenders will be warned, however after three strikes you will be blacklisted from the shop. Telepathy is allowed as an ability only in a case to case basis.
7. Concerning quests. - read up on the 'stages' information and follow any specific rules addressed in the quest forum.
 1. You must keep a RP journal. - Log your RPs here as well as self-reflective posts on your character's life, events and so on so forth. Keep it neat and tidy so that it encourages other people to read. (Staff included, most especially when we're checking up on requirements for growth.)
2. You must have at least one RP post a month. - We're not asking for much. It can be one RP or One Solor post in your journal, or even one journal reflection or your character will be turned into a Mundane, rehomed or killed off.
3. Journal Reflections must at least be 300 words and Solos 500 words. - If you don't reach the word count, these will not be counted in your growth requirements.
4. You must show face in the main thread. - Try and connect with the the other players/staff for a bit. You can hang out whenever you're free and just chat. Doesn't have to be every day but now and again so we know you're still alive in De Civitate Nocte.
4. We will take your character away due to inactivity. - Around the three month mark since your last post in the guild, we will PM you asking where you are. Around the six month point, we will take your character away and it will be killed off (this is automatic for customs or auction characters but can be rehomed if the owner wishes so) ,rehomed or turned into a Mundane.. If you vanish without reason, or did not bother to inform the staff and come back, you will not be able to gain another character.
5. Notify us if you need to disappear. - We'll understand, but try and come back. We'll hold onto your pet for as long as we can but don't leave us hanging.

WARNING: May contain mature themes like Drugs, Violence and Slavery De Civitate Nocte, or more commonly known by the locals as the Eternal City of the Night, is a place where the nexus of parallel dimensions and timelines cross, where the inter-dimensional boundaries are paper thin. A city where humans, creatures of myth, Gods and demons all coexist together in something like harmony.
It is a dark and corrupt place, a city surrounded by the darkness of the Mysts, where the sun has never shone and never will. The only light that illuminates the City of Nocte comes from the two moons, one permanently in crescent phase called Lunacy and the other forever in full named Madness. So it is always midnight, the witching hour, the time when the monsters stir and the æther between worlds are at it's most vulnerable.
Gods and monsters walk openly along the shady streets, basking in the sleazy glow of hot neon, and every temptation you have ever lusted for in the darkest reaches of your heart is right there to be found, for a price. Most often, it is your soul that is at risk, or someone else's. Pleasure and horror are always on sale, marked down and only slightly stained.
You can find joy and terror, salvation and damnation, and even the answer to every question you have ever had. That is, if Nocte doesn't kill you first.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬ ▬ ▬ ▇▇ GENERAL OUTLINE ▇▇▇ ✥ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬ ▬ ▬ ✧ -- The District sector and High Street cabal are always fighting to be more powerful, more influential and richer than the other. The District area of the City of Nocte is where the average joe can become a salary-man and work hard for a decent pay. Most businesses and corporations located here are legal. In comparison, High Street is the area where the average joe will most likely find addiction and pleasure all on sale. This area mostly contains all the malls, brothels, casinos and other less than legal commerce. It is also infamous for organized crime syndicates and black magic activities.
✧ -- The Adorant Platea faction wishes for the rest of Nocte to give up their sinful ways and pray to their gods and goddesses and to live in harmony with one another. This faction is presided over by the two-faced Goddess of the Moon: Lunacy (the kind and forgiving) and Madness (the insane and dangerous). Depending on who's in charge at a certain period of time, this secular faction may isolate themselves in worshipful prayer or incite a holy war against the unbelieving heathens.
✧ -- The majority of the population in Nocte are the Mundanes, although they are considered the most helpless and weakest out of all other citizens. They do not have either a Talent or a creature heritage since they failed to manifest the tattoo of a Denizen. Due to this they are often taken advantage of and made to do the worst jobs in Nocte. They are considered too useless for slavery and it is considered pathetic to have a weak human as a slave.
✧ -- Talents (aka Wizards/Sorcerers/Espers) still consider themselves as humans and are often trying their best to support their underpowered brethren. Yet, they aren't a large or strong enough faction to fight against all the other Denizens and Gods of Nocte. They do their best. Talents are mostly neutral when it comes to the status of Shifters. Some think of them as a sector that needs saving much like the mundane humans, while some of them are quite happy to own a Shifter-pet/slave.
✧ -- Shifters are often traded into slavery or serve as pets, most especially if they are found in a Feral State. They are prized among the elite of Nocte due to their strength, stamina and healing factor. They can be used and abused without breaking easily. It is considered quite wonderful for someone to own a Shifter as a personal servant or slave. Some of the more adventurous elite even pit their Shifters against one another in tournament style combat, much like Gladiators of old, in the Coliseum at High Street.

Here in Nocte, human beings enter our world via randomly appearing portals in their home dimension or timeline. It is a one way portal where all things get sucked in…and nothing comes back out. The portals are unpredictable and stay open only long enough to suck a person into it. They could appear from right beside a human, or even directly under their feet and takes less than a minute to suck a human in. Since it is so rare for people to be able to see through the portal into Nocte, the legends and myths concerning the portal and Nocte are mostly considered false rumors and conjectures. And, as only one person may enter a specific portal, a portal that can appear anywhere and anywhen, the chances of catching a portal are slim to none. Once sucked through a portal, the trip through it is highly disorienting (an example would be the use of Floo powder from Harry Potter). At the very end, the human is deposited in the Portal Centre, a large complex of glass walled buildings that contains the Nocte Orientation System. Characters are greeted by an NPC Portal Centre worker and be oriented on the basic facts of Nocte. After this, they are released into the world of Nocte to fend for themselves!✧ City of Nocte ✧ This is the city of Nocte blah blah blah
✧ Isle of Mar Osta ✧ blah blah blah
✧ Vitreous Underwater City ✧ Found in between the City of Nocte and the way to the Wildlands. It is the only reservoir of seawater found in the world of Nocte and harbors most of the saltwater dependent denizens. It is much like the legendary city of Atlantis and is presided over by a Seaserpent who protects all under her realm.
✧ Isle of Arvum ✧ A small community built around the main train depot on the agricultural land of Arvum. Every harvest season, the folks congregate to the town of Horreum to celebrate the bounty of their lands and to pack most of their produce into trains heading to the City of Nocte to feed it's teeming masses.
✧ The Wildlands ✧ blah blah blah
✧ The Badlands ✧ A place of desolation, darkness where almost nothing grows and living day to day is a struggle. This vast rolling dust bowl are where the captured criminal elements are banished, and where those who just don't fit within Nocte's society eventually find themselves.
✧ Isle of Memoriam Ruris ✧ A small community living in the outskirts of the world of Nocte, semi-shrouded in the Mysts. This is the place where the powers and shakers of Nocte, as well as Gods and Goddesses, retire to be forgotten.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬ ▬ ▬ ▇▇ CHARACTER PATHWAYS ▇▇▇ ✥ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬ ▬ ▬ Everyone starts off as a plain old Mundane (i.e. average everyday human), however there are five character pathways that a Citizen of Nocte can take.
⌛ Mundane ⌛ Mundane → Denizen Initiate → Manifest → Denizen → Power ⌛ Mundane → Talent Initiate → Apprentice → Sorcerer/Sorceress (Black Magic) or Wizard/Witch (White Magic) or ESPers(Psychic Magic) → Magi ⌛ Mundane → Infected Initiate → Theta Form → Beta/Omega Form → Alpha Form ⌛ ALL other Classes → Celestial Initiate → Cultist → Diety → God/Goddess
Growth requirements can be found here. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬ ▬ ▬▇▇ MUNDANES ▇▇▇ ✥ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬ ▬ ▬ Mundanes are the standard, non-magical humans that live within the City of Nocte. All manner of citizens begin as Mundanes, however, some fail to become anything other than human. To be a simple Mundane is considered as the lowest class of citizen. They are thought to be weak, mostly useless creatures, to the extent that even owning a Mundane as a slave is frowned upon. Remaining a Mundane in the City of Nocte is regarded as quite risky, as surviving alive with their meager defenses is unlikely. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬ ▬ ▬▇▇ DENIZENS ▇▇▇ ✥ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬ ▬ ▬ The majority of the Citizens living in the City of Nocte are known as the Denizens. They are usually created when a Mundane manifests a tattoo-like symbol within their first few weeks of arriving within Nocte, usually representing a mythical creature they will eventually transform into. The first few days and weeks usually involves more of a emotional and mental change to the Mundane, with the Tattoo slowly growing to cover their bodies. This eventually leads to a full physical change into their associated mythical creature. To become a Denizen is to become a true member of society, as they enjoy all the rights and privileges that come from being a fully-accepted member of the city. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬ ▬ ▬▇▇ TALENTS ▇▇▇ ✥ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬ ▬ ▬ The remaining majority of the population in the City of Nocte consists of the Talents. Talents still start off as Mundane but instead of exhibiting a tattoo, they usually end up gaining either magic (Black or White based) or psychic abilities (Mental Magic). Far more accepted than their Mundane brethren, these humans are more able to survive within the environs of Nocte and thus, are treated with respect in comparison. Talents usually learn to master their abilities and craft in the Universidad de Nocte. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬ ▬ ▬▇▇ SHIFTERS ▇▇▇ ✥ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬ ▬ ▬ Shifters are the only character class in Nocte whose transformation from a Mundane isn't brought on naturally, but rather from the bite of an Alpha. Once a Mundane is infected by the curse, they find themselves manifesting their inner animal's traits, eventually shifting to a full animal form. A Shifter can sometimes loose their intellect and humanity if they remain in animal form for too long. Shifters often form social groupings much like their animal forms (i.e. Wolf shifters can form packs, and Bird Shifters may form flocks). These social groupings are often bound under an Alpha and the more members within a social group, the more powerful their Alpha is. Found to be more capable than the Mundane, Shifters at large are regarded as a lower caste in the Society of Nocte. This is in part due to the fact that a large percentage of their population lose their humanity to their animal forms and become Feral. Shifters that have gone Feral tend to be overtly powerful and hard to control, and are taken to the High St. Coliseum to use in blood sports as fighting gladiators. In general Shifters, due to their lower caste in society are often only given jobs that befit their status, these being: pets for the elites, servants, grunts, bodyguards, or even slaves. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬ ▬ ▬▇▇ CELESTIALS ▇▇▇ ✥ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬ ▬ ▬ Celestials are born when a Citizen of Nocte embraces a particular concept or belief and builds an entire following around it. They often build Churches in the Adorant Platea to the worship of their ideals and gather devotees to their cause. A Celestial's power is based on the power of belief from their supplicants and as their faith in the concept grows, the Celestial slowly become a physical embodiment of their ideology. Should they accumulate enough followers to worship them and all that they stand for, they may even ascend to Godhood.

✧ My Citizen isn't human, can he/she go to Nocte via the Central Portal? Only humans can cross the central portal, if their native parallel dimension has non-humans, they cannot cross the portal's threshold. However as long as your character is human, even though they might come from a dimension populated with non-humans, they can still cross the threshold of the Portal. However if they have any non-human dna/trait at all in them, they will not be allowed.
✧ Will those that come into the City of Nocte be able to travel around to other parallel dimensions and timelines? No. Sadly this is a one way trip. Once a character has gone through the portal and ended up in Nocte he/she can't go back to his/her home timelines or dimensions. Citizens also can't go to other timelines and dimensions aside from those within Nocte itself.
✧ Can we rollover extra RPs? No. RPs that you have when your Citizen is one stage below will not count for the next stage's evolution. So your RPs when you were in Manifest stage will not count towards your growth to Power Stage.
✧ Can I RP if I don't have a Citizen? Yes! If you have an Accepted De Civitate Nocte quest, you are free to RP him or her as a plain human with the Citizens of the shop. The only rule for this is that in an owner/non-owner RP, the owner starts the RP, and non-owners cannot start an RP together. Additionally, up to two owner/non-owner RPs can be counted for the owner's growth requirements, per stage. Only RPs started after the quest Citizen has come into existence can count for his or her growth requirements, however. ✧ How can I get a semi-custom/custom? Auctions or events are probably your best bet. You can try bribes if you're really dedicated. Just make sure you check artist slot availability and have an already accepted quest ready to go.
✧ What's the difference between a semi-custom/custom? A semi-custom is basically a loose idea you have on the appearance of your Citizen, you're allowed to set 4 characteristics: Gender, Race/Class, Color Theme, Time-Period. A custom on the other hand allows you full control of the characteristics of your Citizen from head to toe.
✧ Do you accept RL commissions for Citizens? Not at the current moment.
✧ What are your limitations for customs? Anything goes as long as it fits into the world of De Civitate Nocte, if you're paying for it. However, absolutely no cosplays or basing your Citizen off of any existing copyrighted characters. (i.e. Anime, games, TV shows etc...)

✧ FLATSALES ♠ None at the moment ♠ These are prompt based and will be announced a week's time before the actual event. A flatsale will occur at least once every one to two months.
✧ AUCTIONS ♠ None at the moment ♠ Auctions will occur most likely during big events and will feature special characters who have either special roles in Nocte or are already in andvanced stage of their growth.
Shop Artists are also allowed to hold auctions at their own discretion provided they are announced one to two weeks before the actual auction and characters are pre-approved by the shop.
✧ SPECIAL EVENTS This includes any holiday related event, metaplot related, or special events overall. They occur spontaneously and are special in one way or another and majority may bring about chances at earning characters not avialable at any other time. Make sure not to miss out!
✧ BRIBES Due to real life and other obligations, the artists will only take extremely large bribes from those who are sure to commit. For those who would like to offer up something ridiculous, feel free to PM the mule when bribes are officially declared open. Please do not ask the artists when they will be opening bribes. Bribe slots are only allowed a limited amount of open slots per artist in a month.
The most common way of breeding usually happens between two normal humans. However, if there are actual physical and physiological barriers in the mating (i.e a Furugasa wants to have babies with a Slime Denizen), the couple can head to Enchanters Way to seek help from a Witch or Wizard specializing in Conceptual and Reproductive magics to sire a child with the use of magic and by blending traits of both parents into one being.
For Shifters, Omegas can give birth to other shifters but children from their mating usually only inherit one of the parents' animals and do not come out as hybrids. If an Omega mates with a human, the child will have a 50/50 chance of becoming infected with the Shifter curse.
A normal human being born within Nocte (and not by way of the Portal) usually manifest their Denizen Tattoo by the age of 10-11 years old. However, if they are a Talent, they usually begin to display their magic and/or abilities at an even younger age, around the average age of 4-5 years old.
