The rooftop of Virtua High is open to all students at any time. Designed for all combat types in mind, this is a prime battle spot.

Moira Ashe Moira sat atop the roof, strumming absently on her guitar. She hummed a note or two, but most of her attention was focused on the strings as they vibrated and produced sound. Her expression was one of pure relaxation, if not with one iota of boredom. Being an admin had the perk of enhanced power, but the drawback of few being brave and/or stupid enough to challenge one to a battle. And she had decided early on in her life at Virtua High that she would never be the one to pick a fight; where was the spontaneous fun in that? So instead she spent most of her time doing what she was doing at that moment: practicing her music in solitude. "This place is great'n all," she mused to herself in a quiet, husky tone tinted heavily with an English accent, "but nothin' evah changes."

"To most people this is just a bunch of zeroes and ones... Jayce Wilder (Jay Cross): Admin in Disguise Jayce spawned on the school's rooftop after doing an outside server check. So far, everything was looking good for the new year, including the new people as well people who have come back for the new year. Being the first one here, he stared out into the city and was about to complain about it being so inconsistent with the architecture when he heard someone playing loud music behind him; naturally, his cat instincts came into play, causing him to jump at least 3 feet in the air. "What the hell.jpeg?" He yowled as he turned to the perpetrator he scared the living snot out of him. "Jesus Moira! Don't do that." The admin grumbled as he put his hood up to avoid her seeing the look of fear on his face from her loud playing. "And would it kill you to put a freaking shirt on.exe?! Some of the freshmen were complaining about that forever, and the ESRB is going to bump up the rating if you don't." He sighed as he curled up in a ball as he waited for more people to spawn across the city before he did the annual address that covers all of the basics for the newcomers.... But this is a dream come true for me."

Moira Ashe Upon seeing and hearing her half-feline friend, Moira laughed, tilting her guitar so the neck stood straight up, resting against her shoulder. Her fingertips still plucked idly at the strings, just out of habit, as she grinned at him a little slyly. The two of them had been close friends for a good while now, and he was possibly the only one who got her to smile so broadly. She laughed a little bit, subtly, as she stood up with her guitar strap slung over her shoulder and the guitar itself at her back. "Ah, c'mon, Jayce," she said, stretching her arms up into the air; simultaneously, several of her vertebrae popped back into place, stiff from being hunched over so long. "It's just us up 'ere, and I'm more comfortable this way. I'm not 'urtin' anyone, am I?" She shot him another smirk, going over to sit beside him and patting his head playfully. "Loosen up, and act like the cat ya are. Take a snooze or somethin'."

"To most people this is just a bunch of zeroes and ones... Jayce Wilder (Jay Cross): Admin in Disguise Jayce scowled as she got that look about her that screamed 'Nope, nuh uh and now way.' What would it take her just to put a shirt on? Is that really so much to ask. "#Nope to the asking to continue, but a yes to the hurting. Apparently men can't focus for some reason, and the girls cry tears of jealousy whenever you walk by. You're causing a distraction, and this is foremost a school, even though I fast forward the simulation during that time." He sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose like he was dealing with a piece of code he couldn't understand. He was about to protest further when she touched his head. 'Damn she's good.' He thought while he purred at the thought of having his head patted. He shook out of it soon enough and moved a little ways away from her. "The programing makes me like this and you know that. You're going to have to put one on sometime." His head poked out of the head as he reminded her. "Not to mention you need to tell me what you want your Zone to look like so I can code that in before the term starts." He had a much better idea on how to make a greater spectacle about Admin vs Player fights over the summer, and he had all the admins convene about this. He had already designed his, but he was going to put all of theirs in simultaneously. ... But this is a dream come true for me."

Moira Ashe She just shrugged to what he said, laying back against the flat surface of the rooftop after slinging the guitar to her front. As she crossed her arms behind her head, she sighed and gazed up at the blue sky. "Wot's that mattah? It's their own folt, not mine. I guess I will, but for now I'm pehfectly fine topless. Why, does it make ya uncomfortable?" she teased plainly, continuing to rub his head, focusing mainly on his ears. She had to find some enjoyment somehow, and Jayce kind of made himself an easy target. "Ya'know me Jayce, make it like a punk music room or somethin'. And puhple- lotsa puhple," she chuckled dully, finally ceasing to stroke his ears. "Oi, Jayce... do ya evah get bored 'ere at the school?"

"To most people this is just a bunch of zeroes and ones... Jayce Wilder (Jay Cross): Admin in Disguise Jayce sighed as she didn't seem to get it. "Let's just say depressed and jealous people in swarms will eventually overtake you. And you better put on by tomorrow or so help me.avi." He sighed as she typically responded with the room he should have guessed she wanted. Purple, and it's many shades, were very icky to code, because if you messed up a single line of the binary it became this ugly mustard looking color. He was about to respond with complaints but when she spoke again, her question had him thinking. "Well, sure sometimes things seem a little mundane, but this place is my realm; I can do with it as I please, and make it much more fun for everyone else. So I guess that, yes, I do... But seeing your faces when you're freaked out or determined kind of makes it worthwhile ." He chuckled at his extremely cheesy speech, and decided to never do that EVER again. ... But this is a dream come true for me."

Moira Ashe There was a beat of silence as she contemplated his answer. He seemed satisfied with his creation, and she liked it there a lot. Still, somewhere in the back of her mind she wished something crazy would happen. Something to upset the repetitive routine. Finally, she shrugged and went back to plucking the chords on her guitars. "That's a fair answer, I suppose," she mumbled, sitting back up and finally standing. A thought then occurred to her: what was the creator of the virtual school doing lounging around on the roof? Maybe he'd come to find her, or something... not likely. "Now that I think 'bout it though, wot ah ya doin' up 'ere of all places? Don't ya 'ave somewhere important to be, seein' as ya created the school an' all?" She raised an eyebrow, staring down at him with a questioning look on her face.

"To most people this is just a bunch of zeroes and ones... Jayce Wilder (Jay Cross): Admin in Disguise Jayce nodded to her response to his cheesy answer. He didn't really think it fair, seeing as not everyone would agree with that, but he supposed it was a form of pride in work that was actually supported by other people. He looked at her when she mentioned him having to be here somewhere, and he laughed at the prospect of him going up in front of a bunch of people and faking them out. "Not really me, but more like Jay Cross has a meeting as soon as most of the class spawns. The servers have slowed down a bit because I was holding them back in processing power for later, so we may be waiting for a while yet. Besides, I look completely different in real life so no one knows who I am." He chuckled at the biggest sham in the history of this school; after all, the general populace thought he was just an average student who never got into any fights with anyone. ... But this is a dream come true for me."

Moira Ashe She nodded, crossing her arms as she looked out over the school campus along with him. "Oh, yeh, I almost forgot about ya secret identity complex," she told him dully, all humor gone from her for the morning. Again, she continued to nod as he went on about computer jibber-jabber that honestly made no sense to her, but she tried to pretend she understood for his sake. "Well, maybe meetin' some'a the freshmen will liven up the day for me. Until then, what do you say we spawn somewheh in town? I was thinkin' the cafe or somethin'. A latte sounds absolutely top right now. I need the caffeine if I'm gonna get through today."

Dear Hate, you are my power... Melissa Reis Dear Pain, you are my shield When Melissa spawned her aura instantly turned pink and the bunny ears sprouted. She was late, or so she thought. Of all the days she picked to oversleep! She didn't even much pay attention so where she spawned, until she got there. She quickly surveyed the area and determined she was on the roof. Great... as far away from the front door as possible. "smooth move Mel..." she muttered to herself. She then noticed two people. One was a shirtless girl with a guitar...Moira. Not hard too guess. And the other one was Jay in his little disguise. Well at least the person(people) she wanted to find was where she was. Good luck was on her side for once!
Still she knew she was in trouble,(she really isn't) and figured now would be the best time to take her lumps. Jay was normally forgiving so it shouldn't be that bad. She quickly walked up beside the two of them and stopped on Jay's right.(Assuming Moira's on his left) "Hey there... sorry I'm late, stupid alarm clock wasn't loud enough." She said, a drop of sweat forming on her brow. Dear Joy you are my speed Dear Stress, you are my agility

"To most people this is just a bunch of zeroes and ones... Jayce Wilder (Jay Cross): Admin in Disguise Jayce snorted indignantly. "It isn't a complex, it's a matter of the obvious never-ending challenges I would receive if I were foolish enough to go and say that I was the person who made the game." He huffed as if this were the most obvious fact in the world. "As for that cafe idea-" He was interrupted by a newcomer spawning on the roof. Or rather, not a newcomer, but an oldcomer who just so happened to be new in this moment of time. "Was wondering when you were going to show up. Was about to get worried." He smiled reassuringly at Melissa, as everyone on the continent could see that she was nervous, and he hoped that he could calm her down before she stressed enough to make the entire world become swallowed in pink. "Jeez, it wasn't just the alarm clock either. I sent you a message earlier too." He sighed softly. "This makes four of us here now. Kane is somewhere else in the city, frolicking about." He faced the expanse that was the rest of the city, and after a few seconds his right eye began twitching. "Why couldn't I make the architecture normal.doc?!" He muttered to himself. Something really bothered him about all the crazy different settings. They had modern, some rural and suburb-ish stuff, and then there was stuff that looked like it belongs in a different time altogether. It bothered him. A lot. ... But this is a dream come true for me."

Moira Ashe When Melissa showed up, Moira already felt herself go a bit quieter. Jayce, she could deal with, and even Melissa one-on-one, but the more people around, the less she felt like talking. And besides, with Melissa's mood swings, she felt she had a right to be wary. She just wasn't a people person, not in the least. She rolled her eyes when Jaybe began freaking out about the architecture, and patted his shoulder soothingly. "It's no big deal," she said plainly, "everyone thinks it's cool. I think it's pretty cool at least." She nodded in Melissa's direction, but said nothing; the two weren't exactly close, like she was with Jayce.

Dear Hate, you are my power... Melissa Reis Dear Pain, you are my shield Melissa realized she had come in on a conversation about why he hid his identity. She had thought he had said it enough times by now...guess not. Still, he had a point. Seeing the reassuring smile and the rather comical eye twitch did help to calm her nerves. So she was late but it was okay, and Jay was getting OCD, yup, everything was normal again. With that, her aura turned back to white and faded to become almost unseeable, meaning she was back to bottling up her emotion. "So, what's on the agenda today?" she asked, much less spirited in her speech. Dear Joy you are my speed Dear Stress, you are my agility

"To most people this is just a bunch of zeroes and ones... Jayce Wilder (Jay Cross): Admin in Disguise Jayce grumbled, "Well it is to me, my baby isn't even aesthetically pleasing..." But then he realized that they might take it the wrong way and think he didn't like it all, so he hugged one of the posts in the fence surrounding the roof. "But that's okay because Daddy still loves you and your crazy time issues.exe." He stepped away after as if he had done a good job parenting. "And yes, it is very cool. Like hoodies. Hoodies are cool." He nodded once, and jumped slightly when Melissa spoke without a hint of emotion in her voice. "Just the usual routine 'Welcome to the sexiest simulation ever' bit. And then the actual combativeness can begin." He laughed evilly as was custom in this situation. Jayce loved to watch people squirm about and form factions and all that joyful stuff that made this school fun. "We have to wait just a little longer before I give the heads up to begin... Oh Melissa I need your admin zone info and junk so I can get it ready." ... But this is a dream come true for me."
