Try to explain your answer if you can.
I say Capcom Vs. SNK series, it's rare that 2 companies actually work together to make the ultimate fighter game.

I liked Mortal Kombat cause it was the first fighting game I played and actually liked, I'm a mortal kombat fan, so any Mortal Kombat I'll play..save for Mythologies and Special forces, they were crap and I only played Mythologies, I played a demo of Shaolin Monks and I liked, can't wait for Armageddon, so far IMO, Deception was the best in the series...I mainly played Kombat Chess, hahaha

Capcom Vs. SNK, it takes 2 of the greatest fighting game devs out there and combines them into one huge pile of awesomeness. surprised

I love Capcom vs SNK 2, but I have more Street Fighter series games so I play SF more than the only CvS game I have.

hellshreder Street Fighters Series hands down, I always played it on the SNES when I was a little kid. SF series on the SNES was good and just one for PS was saved, SF Alpha 3. Good old times, I miss them. sad

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the Soul series. The character designs are everything *except* generic (tortured souls looking for a demonic sword of all things?); the backgrounds have and actually geology to back up their appearances and designs; the music fits the series all to well (compared to Dynasty Warriors... I'm pretty sure heavy metal didn't exist in 2nd century China :/); and there's an overwhelming amount of depth to the fighting engine that you'll get a headache trying to put all the techniques into an actual fight.
But then, I *am* a fanboy, so maybe I'm just overhyping the series. mrgreen
