Emma sighed as she sat down at one of the tables to do her homework. On positive side of things it was easy, on the negative side it was easy because she already had done it the year before. She was a first year again not because she didn't have any talent or because her clumsiness made her flunk. She just ended up missing the finals week. However she felt bad for Clover as well since she too was held back in her third year. Irene sat on her head almost like a gem attached to her headband. She just wished that the teachers would let Clover and herself take the tests because of what happened but that was easier said then done.

 Elton had just completed his last class of the day and for the first time was actually going to start his homework right away. He had been using a tutor who had told him if he didn't wait til the last moment he'd do much better with remembering the assignments and completing them on time. He'd actually found that he was doing much better, even in his worst classes. Which was a good thing, because at the end of the year he really needed to get better study habits.
He was rather surprised and happy to see Emma sitting down at one of the tables, with her frog sitting on top of her head like a decoration. "Emma! I was wondering where you had gone off to! Now one really said why you had left." Elton said taking a seat next to her.
He glanced at her books and winced. Man..he had forgotten. She had left before the end of the second year exams and now she had to repeat the year over. How terrible.
"Ouch, I guess you have to repeat your second year?" he asked with a sympathetic tone. "That bloody bites."

Emma looked up "Hay Elton, Yeah... I had to go home early." she said "Yeah It does at least it'll be easy.. this year." Try as she might it was sort of hard to make it sound as positive as she was trying to make it out to be.
She looked back down at her parchment, she knew he wanted to know why she had left early but it was sort of hard for her. Her eyes went to the pink ribbon wrapped around her arm. "Da got a broken bone," she said not really thinking on how a wizard might take something as simple as a broken bone.

Elton gave her a sympathetic look though he couldn't help but feel a bit envious of her. He was struggling with third year courses, and she got to repeat the second year stuff. Such easy classes. Of course in the long run perhaps it wasn't such a nice thing. She'd have to stay in school much longer this way.
Elton blinked. He was confused. A broken bone made her go home early? That didn't really make much sense to him.
"Okay then, so why didn't he get some Bone Grow stuff?" By now he was used to the taste of the nasty stuff. He was often breaking his bones and having to take it.

Emma smiled a little looking at the scroll essey she had been working on, before looking back at Elton when he asked his question. "Oh right, I forgot, about it. But you see, my Da's not a wizard, he's a muggle, so acording with our laws, he couldn't have takin the Bone Grow." she said with a smile. "So since he was hurt, he needed help with things, but he didn't want to stay in one place too long, I'm just glad I didn't lose him too." she said sentamentle. "It was a good thing it wasn't harvest seson... well exspt for the wool."
She knew she wouldn't be alone, but how pathetic would it be to say you were orphened twice? She didn't want to find out, She loved her father and he was important to her. Though she missed her mother, she knew her suffering was over. Though this time she had family that would possibly take her in, it was this reason why she never really thought about her first parents.
She shook the thought from her head and looked over at Elton, "I hear you get to pick some new classes before going into your third year, It true?" she asked trying to get onto a better note.
