I debated a long time about whether to post this under my account, or to go into Bastien's (since, as some of you know, I have access to his account) to make this an announcement, and I decided it'd be better to use mine, out of respect to the guild.
Bastien has been extremely - well, completely - inactive lately. He's been absent elsewhere online, as well, which is more remarkable than Gaia, since he'd been slowly drifting off here anyway.
This evening I opened my e-mail to find that his friend had contacted me with his obituary. Bastien passed away last week in a car accident, and, so, he won't be online any longer. If you need to delete his character threads, that's fine, no one will object.
There will be continued activity on Bastien's account, as he and I were communal Gaians and his account is where we pooled all our funds, so I need to liquidate it, which will take a while, since I have G-cash and other things on it. That won't be for a while, though.

Really sad to hear that. Even though I never really knew him personally he helped me with a lot and, though I probably came off as a little annoying, I enjoyed taking to him.
There's over 100 members and less than ten are active, so it's not like old posts would cause any problems. And call me crazy, but something just wouldn't feel right about it...
