Name: Elijah King Nickname: Eli, King, Your Highness Age: 21 Birthday: March 26th Sign: Pisces Gemstone: Aquamarine Blood Type: AB Fav. Food: Cherries Hated Food: Avacado, brussel sprouts or asperagus School: Destiny City University Hobbies: Street performer/Acrobat/Tumbler/Contortionist - He's been training to join Cirque du Soleil or a similar troupe, doing shows with the local theatre when they have parts for him. He's extremely flexible and secretly enjoys making people wince with some of the stretches he can do quite comfortably. He's been in love with the circus ever since he was a child and saw his first Cirque du Soleil show. The colors, music and movement all speak to a deep part of him and when he began gymnastics at about six years old, he found a profound sense of pleasure from pushing his body to its limits. As he grew, he shifted his focus from pure gymnastics to acrobatics, studying performance shows and whatever reading material he could get his hands on to practice. He's been mostly self taught up to this point, but has found a coach here in DC to help him get ready for auditions. He's flexible enough at this point to touch the back of his head to his butt, and has enough strength to do it while balancing on his arms. ( like this, but on his hands) Reading Fantasy Novels - He loves a good book, loves getting lost in stories about things that could only happen in fairy tales. Sci-fi is a little too harsh for his tastes, (and why ready about real life when you're loving it?) so he tends to go specifically for fantasy. One of his favorite authors is Anne McCaffrey. Painting - he's an amateur when it comes to painting, and while his skills are more for the performing arts, he enjoys the expression he can do through painting. He doesn't have a particular style, though you could maybe call it expressionism or abstract. He just puts paint on a canvas until he likes how it looks. He often experiments with different ways of delivering paint, but in the end its all just for the fun of it, nothing serious. Virtues: Outgoing/Friendly/Companionable - he loves to join in and be where the party is. He'll talk with just about anyone and loves to be in the spotlight. Public speaking and crowds are no problem for him, if anything he enjoys them. He's a performer at heart, so there is no place he'd rather be than in the spotlight. If anything, he actually dislikes being alone and would prefer to have someone, anyone around than be alone. This could possibly lead to him falling in with the wrong crowd from time to time, but he's not a follower and won't participate in unsavory activities. Whimsical/Optimistic/Forgiving - he tends to see the brighter side of things and has a generally upbeat attitude. He doesn't tend to take things very seriously and can be good for a laugh just about any time. While it might make him seem frivolous, its really just a choice on how he views things and decides to react to them. While he can get sad from time to time, there is usually a cause for it and once its resolved, he's all smiles again. One that same note, he doesn't tend to hold grudges and forgives easily as he'd rather be friends and have fun than be mad at you. Dedicated/Dependable/Trustworthy - When he finally decides to do something, he follows through and he can be counted on to keep his word. He keeps to his training schedule and it shows in his performing abilities. He doesn't lie unless there is a pressing reason to do so and can be trusted to keep secret things he's told in confidence. While he'll work very hard to finish something he starts, he won't beat a dead horse. If something becomes useless or impossible, he'll drop it and move on to something else. Flaws: Self-centered/Selfish - The world revolves around Elijah, as far as he's concerned. Everything he does or doesn't do centers around whether or not it is of some benefit to him. Even when an act seems altruistic, its really more about the praise he'll get for doing it than it is about helping another person. Relationships are usually led by him and only last as long as the other person is filling one of his needs or is somehow beneficial to have around. When they stop focusing on him or try to impose their needs on him, he's prone to cut ties and take off. He is not, however, any kind of sociopath. He can empathize with people just fine and can do things that benefit other people, but in the end, he does it because it makes him feel better about himself or gets him some sort of attention for doing it. It can be hard to like a person that will never put your needs before their own, or worst case, actively sabotages or manipulates your work so that they're the ones getting some or all of the benefit. Attention whore - A facet of his selfishness is that he also likes to be the center of attention and often steals the spotlight from other people. He will often act out to draw attention to himself and may get jealous of someone getting more attention than he is, making him act out more. These are usually not mean-spirited things, but can be stupid or annoying, even sometimes physically dangerous to himself. His 'look at me!' need can sometimes get him into trouble when he takes it too far, but very rarely does he do anything to intentionally hurt someone else. A good example would be walking the railing at the edge of a bridge because the focus of the group is on someone else, or singing a bawdy song at theater/stage volume. Undecided/Wishy-washy - He has a hard time making decisions about things and often changes his mind a few times before he'll settle on something. He can take an hour to pick out an outfit or do his stage makeup and days or months to decide big things, like which college to go to or what kind of car to buy. He can't be hurried up with this decision making process either and stubbornly takes his own time. While he is very good about following through once he's made up his mind, its the making it up that seems to hang him up. Sometimes this will lead him to putting off the decision, sometimes to the point that the situation changes and he doesn't have to decide any more. Its often easiest, as a friend, to be the one making the decisions. He'll usually follow along. PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Eyes: Large, round, Yellow with an orange half tone. Want something more than a single color to them, so they stand out, like a gradient. Hair: Sky Blue ( kinda like this for thickness and how they hang in the back) Maybe a few braids coming from his temples that hang free to frame his face? Can have crazy shapes in the braids on his scalp for the fun of it. Like this!. Can hang down his back pretty far, mid back or to hips. Face: heart shaped, african-american face with high cheekbones. Skin is a mocha color, rich brown. Clothes: Comfortable, classy, fashionable clothes. He's manly, but dresses well.

Knight Title: Ys, Page of Saturn Challenge: "Why so serious?" or "Its not the end of the world, yet!" Uniform: (template 9) Image Reference OR Alternative (mask doesn't need to look like that, its just a doodle) Top sleeveless waist coat/vest with long tails, a silver bell at the end of each tail. Covered in a harlequin pattern in purple and lavendar. Sort of like this. Black shirt underneath with loose/poofy sleeves and lace cuffs. Like this or thisBottoms close fitting grey pants. Gloves --- Belt --- Shoes Knee high black boots that curl up at the toes with bells on the tips and with tall heels. Laces up the front or belt-like fasteners. Shoulders --- Accessories a capelet & collar around the neck with dagged edges with bells on the points. like this or this. Color to work with waist coat. Over all outfit should suggest jester/harlequin gone gothic. Saturn symbol, lace and ruffles can be worked in at colorist's desire. Some clown-ish makeup can be added to his face and bells can be added to the ends of his braids if the colorist feels up to it. Weapon First Stage - a venetian mask on a stick, ala: this . Should be a full face with a neutral expression. Can be simple/creepy in design. Made of light wood. Could be used to deflect small attacks in a pinch, but can be scratched or broken like any wooden mask. Second Stage - A more elaborate mask. Either creepy smile or some dark/sad expression. When held up to his face, he can channel magic through it so that enemies who look directly into the mask are filled with a creepy feeling, like being watched or seeing something out of the corner of their eyes. Can last up to 30 seconds or spread out in bursts. Can be distracting, but doesn't physically interfere with actions. Characters prone to suspicion/fear/insanity could be more affected than more stoic/light-hearted people. A denser wood, the mask can be slightly more effective at deflecting physical attacks just by being what it is, but will break under stress like any wood. Third Stage - A pair of decorated masks on sticks, each themed in a different color. One is smiling/leering creepily, one appears to be crying/screaming in horror. Depending on which mask he holds up, those who can see the mask are either filled with mirth or with sorrow, beyond what they would normally feel. Outside thoughts may intrude on the character if the player wishes, giving them a reason for their mirth/sorrow and distracting them. Lasts no longer than 50 seconds and doesn't hinder physical movement, only mental state. Only enemies who look directly at the mask are affected. Now made of hard wood, they are physically equivalent to a sturdy wooden shield for deflecting attacks. Summons:A larger than normal peacock, about 5' in height from ground to top of its head when its standing upright with neck extended, and proportional body mass. (normal peacocks are about 4 feet tall) Unlike a normal peacock, its a deep purple color with an iridescent sheen. Attack:The peacock attacks by charging at the opponent and beating them with its powerful wings about the head and torso, which can be painful and disorienting.

Background:
Elijah is from a big family, one of six children. He's the second oldest and one of two boys. His family lives in London, but he moved out practically the minute he became old enough to do so. He's been sort of drifting in the wind, hopping from place to place, until he landed in DC. A growing interest in performing arts finally peaked here and he's put down shallow roots as he works on his degree at DCU.
Not fond of most pets, he does have a pudgy little goldfish that he practically spoils set up in a tank in his living room.
When not pursuing one of his hobbies, he likes food and music, and can be found out on the town, either eating at a new restaurant or dancing in a club.
While his manner can come off as 'metrosexual', Elijah is pretty straight and really prefers women. He's not the type to sleep with anything that moves, but he's not a monk either. If it happens it happens is usually his motto, and it usually takes a month or two of steady interaction for him to settle into a romantic relationship. On an upnote, though, he is very much a romantic at heart and it shows in how he treats his ladies.

Hello, Blue! A belated congrats on your custom win!
Overall, this profile reads well! You’ve got a nice balance of virtues and flaws to work with, so the only things I want to touch on are his hobbies and his magic/summon!
HOBBIES
The main thing I want to see here is just a little more elaboration! Things to think about here would be: what got him interested in Street Performing/Acrobatics, etc.? Is his flexibility natural or has he done a lot of conditioning? When and why did he become interested in Fantasy Novels? Does he have a favorite? Performing arts are quite expressive in and of themselves, so what is it about painting that he likes as far as expression is concerned? Does he prefer any particular type of paint, or is he still experimenting with mediums? Does he prefer a particular style?
POWERED
For a moment I was concerned that a jester look would be a bit too medieval in design to work with a knight of Saturn, but in the references you provided it seems like it’s been adapted pretty well to fit the Saturn theme! I look forward to seeing his art! XD
Magic-wise, his attacks look good, although instead of it affecting anyone who can see the mask(s), I’d suggest changing it so that only people who look directly at the mast would be affected (or even anyone Ys is looking directly at through the mask), just because anyone within a large area could see the mask, even peripherally, and that might be a bit extensive!
As far as your time limits are concerned, knight magic draws from a set pool of energy, and they can use their magic for however long they wish at any given time provided they have not exceeded the total amount of time within their magic pool! So if you wanted to set a pool of thirty seconds for his Squire magic, the attack could be used in three ten second increments, two fifteen second increments, or for shorter or longer periods of time throughout the duration of a battle, but he could not exceed thirty seconds total (not individually but in adding each use together)! Thirty seconds does seem fair for his Squire stage based on what the magic does, so if you’d like to increase his magic pool to around fifty seconds in his Knight stage, that would be fine!
For his Summon, I’d suggest that you not have the Summon use the same type of magic. You have both a defensive weapon going on here as well as defensive magic, so your Summon can be offensive if you wish! But you will have to pick one or the other, either offensive or defensive! Another thing to keep in mind when you’re devising a Summon is that although a Summon will exhibit animal like behavior when left to its own devices, your Knight’s ability to command a Summon to perform an attack should be restricted to either one or the other (so either magic or a more physically offensive attack such as the biting and pecking and clawing, not both)! Also, what size are you thinking of when you envision a larger than normal peacock? Summons cannot exceed the size of an average horse, so we do like to see what size you’re thinking of when something is larger than normal!
Aaaaand that’s it for now! If you have any questions just let me know and I’ll be happy to answer! :3

I've adjusted for your comments. :3 When I decided to make him a Saturn Knight rather than Venus, I made sure to pick out outfit details that were more victorian/gothic. The vest design is pretty victorian, sans the pattern, and the boots are just sort of whatever... xD picked something more generic-y. He straddles the line, but a gothic clown was such a fun idea I couldn't resist.

One last thing and then we'll see about getting a stamp in here! Regarding his Summon, you are definitely allowed to have a Summon that is considered offensive due to a more physical attack, just keep in mind that on command the Summon should only perform one comprehensive attack. At the moment you have that "Weapons include beak, claws, and strong wings" which makes it seem as if the peacock could use this abilities individually when it should really only be able to do one on command! A good example of a purely physically offensive Summon is the buck Iris_virus chose for Bimini! You can see that here! So you could have some sort of buffeting attack with the peacock's wings, or something with it's tail, or have it capable of clawing at an opponent, but it should definitely be just one individual ability!

Oooooh, I see. I thought it could behave like a normal animal, which would naturally have the ability to use all that in an attack, but that looks more like sort of an... animal shaped spell. I'll change the description!

A Summon is a spirit creature/familiar/spiritual aide with the intelligence of a typical canine! It is a bit more than an animal shaped spell; however, it can only perform a single ability upon command during a battle! The rest of a Summon's behavior when left to its own devices would be beyond a knight's command! It would essentially be acting the way any animal would act without direction. In devising your Summon, you should only be detailing one ability: the ability it can/would perform upon the knight's command. In this instance, I believe you mean for this ability to be the beating of its wings about the head and torso of an opponent. That's really all the information that's required (along with the size of the Summon if larger than normal, which you've added)! At the moment, you're still listing three different abilities (wing beating, ridden, and flying) when you should only list the one: "The peacock attacks by charging at the opponent and beating them with its powerful wings about the head and torso, which can be painful and disorienting."
