This is a glacier that lies high in the hills of Springfog.
It is a chunk of solid ice that has never melted and always has snow around the top of the hill where it lies. It is quite mysterious and some say that it was created by magic. When the light hits it, the glacier shimmers and sometimes seems to glow from within. Many myths revolve around this location including one of a powerful sorceress known as the Ice Queen. It is believed that the Ice Queen is frozen somewhere in the middle of the glacier but little evidence has been found to back that story.
No matter how much water flows from the glacier, it never seems to shrink, or to gain size. From this icy structure great amounts of water cascades down its sides, creating the brilliant waterfall(s) known as Shimmermist Falls before the water finds its way back underground. It is from this underground reservoir that the town draws 99% of its water from.
