May not be as important as some of the other health threads, but dandruff is one of the only issues I have. I've heard that almonds help, but I hate them. A lot. Like a lot. Anyways, I want to know what you girls do about it/for it. Shampoo or foods that help, perhaps? I'll do anything to make my hair and scalp healthier. :3

Dandruff is a common issue among many people. It can either be caused by an oily scalp that brings up the dandruff, and it can also be due to dry scalp, which causes dandruff flakes. Half the challenge is figuring out whether your scalp is oily or dry - then trying to find a shampoo and conditioner that works for you.
I remember someone told me that their husband did a job that involved labor outdoors and they wore a hat. All the sweat and rubbing where the edges of the hat lie against his scalp caused some wicked dandruff. She said that he used baking soda to solve the problem and it worked well. Not quite sure why that would work, though.
I've never heard of almonds, but that is interesting. I know that hazelnuts are supposed to be good for your hair so perhaps scalp applies in that category as well.

I suffer from pretty bad dandruff, especially during winter, and my skin becomes really dry... And I have some kind of psoriasis on the nap of my neck >.<
But, I suggest that you use shampoo with almond oil in it, because you dont need to eat almonds.. I use Head and Shoulders when I have really bad dandruff, and it works really well, for me.
But, you can always to someone in your local chemist (Drugstore?)
Anywho, hope that helped somehow smile
