Back in my days working for Soren in Great Nations and Shinobi Village the manga chapter of the Bloodline Expansion explanation from the Tsuchikage had just come out, and I had an Idea, and its probably not leaning the way you might think it is. A Kekkei Tota, as you know, is the union of three chakra natures to create a single bloodline release, which as far as i know we have no such thing in POTS. But that's not what I'm here to talk to you about. What I am here to talk about though is an expansion for Shinobi without bloodlines. As you may have noticed, Shinobi without bloodlines are generally weaker due to the way that the guild is built. Clan-less Shinobi have no chakra bonus, no truly unique abilities so to speak. The advance releases attempts to close that gap and add a series of specialized techniques on to the arsenal of a clanless shinobi. How it works is that at Jounin Rank, they unlock thr next level of their Primary Element, actually giving some importance to the whole primary element Jazz. When and if they have the Elemental Mastery perk they get to take up two of the Advanced Releases, the primary up to A rank, the secondary only at C rank, if it applies.
Needless to say that these techniques are not copy-able by sharingan, any shinobi can use them so long as they are a Special Jounin or above. In order to regulate the level of the person that is using these techniques, Auto-Ranked RPCs wouldn't be able to get them, unless the person that is applying for them has proven before to be a capable roleplayer. It should also be noted that these Advanced Releases have special attributes that the regular style techniques don't have. Anyway, here are the elements:
Scorch Release: Evolution of the Fire Release. The Flames of the Scorch release burn hotter than the regular Katon techniques, due to the coloration of the regular Katon techniques the temperature of regular fire jutsu is around 900 to 1300 degrees Fahrenheit. The fire of the Scorch release is a Bright White, meaning it burns at around 2600 degrees Fahrenheit, hot enough to vaporize most water jutsu that aren't of a higher release.
Granite Release: Evolution of the Earth Release. The Granite Release is a sturdier version of Doton. Granite jutsu are usually used as excellent defense and very devastating offence. The way this release works is that the user channels their chakra on to the earth and use it to harden it up until the point where it is hard enough to meet the user's requirements for the power of the techniques that he wishes to use.
Re-Strike Release: Evolution of the Lightning Release. Little known fact about lightning is that a ' single ' strike of lightning isn't so single. Strikes of lightning are actually Re-Strikes, or multiple streams of lightning, and that's what the Re-Strike Release is about. The Re-Strike gives the user a broader use of lightning, and a more natural use of the element as well. Re-Strike Release jutsu are usually made of two or three simultaneously released lightning attacks and usually look like Volcanic or Fire lightning; Red or White.
Gale Release: Evolution of the Wind Release. The Gale release is a much more powerful version of the wind release. Coming up at a maximum speed of 102 miles per hour, or about 60 knots. Gale Release Techniques are not only faster than regular Wind techniques, and there for stronger, but also have a much larger strike range which makes it easier for the user to land a hit. Out of all of the Advance Releases, Gale Release is the most devastating one when it comes to sheer raw power, followed by Granite Release due to the weight of the rocks.
I never really came up with a Advanced Release for water since well, i never thought about a form it could have. I thought about Pressure release but it just didn't seem too tangible at that. A funny note i should bring up is that water has a crystalline state which occurs between its liquid and solid form, I tried to think a way of getting it to be well usable but it ended up being too much like Shoton or Crystal Release, so ideas are welcomed.
Personally before writing this i thought that fire would be the coolest one since it was the first one I had thought of, but Re-Strike takes the cake in my opinion, regardless of the fact that it is generally the weakest out of them all. It opens the door to some pretty crazy jutsu.

And well in case it wasn't clear, any type of feedback is welcomed, as well as an idea for a Suiton Evolution.

Shakuton (Scorch Release) actually exists technically. Granted we wouldn't give it the power to evaporate the water on your insides (at least not so readily and without restriction), but it does have two jutsu in its existence that could more than likely be tailored to the guild. As for earth, you could go two ways with it. Kōton (Steel Release), or Jinton (Dust Release). First off, these are of course ways you can go about each one that already exist so your idea certainly isn't off the table. Secondly, I along with the crew would probably throw Jinton out the window based on its ability. That, or we would have to work on it ourselves to make it not as....well I don't have to tell you based on what the description of it and its techniques are. There is also an advanced release form of lighting which the guild already has (probably needs to be fixed up) which is Ranton (Storm Release). For suiton think on this: Water has three states. Suiton covers liquid, hyouton covers solid. So that leaves one more rather pervasive and interestingly intrusive state..... I should also mention, that technically this exists as well as Futton (Boil Release). Truth be told I'd rather it called vapor release just cause I think it sounds cooler, but oh well. All-in-all, it seems these exist to further what you are getting at. Unless I've missed the point completely, in which case I apologize. Still, it seems that these advanced forms of each element are what you wanted to exist, and they indeed already do. And if that's the case, then they could indeed become added kekkei genkai. Now, to clear things up there are quite a few ways in this guild you can exist and be a shinobi without a clan or bloodline and be awesome. One of the most prevalent, is applying for a talent. In my opinion, talents are the best way to go about molding an RPC without a clan/bloodline. They only help to further individualize your character, and I rather enjoy seeing interesting RPC's like this exist. Secondly, technology. I don't think I have to go into detail about what technology can do to one who is without it. Next of course is custom weapons. Finally, custom taijutsu/genjutsu/ninjutsu/kenjutsu. This is where I would assume most RPC's without a clan or bloodline would get the most bang for their buck. A whole set of jutsu in whatever form that belong directly to that character and no one else. In my opinion, you could basically create various customs to combat certain bloodlines. So no, I can't say I think someone who chooses to not have a clan/bloodline is exactly at a disadvantage apart from sheer chakra numbers (unless they have a profession like Ninjutsu that boosts that anyway.). There are plenty of resources in this guild to make an EXCELLENT RPC without toting the moniker of "Uchiha" or "Hyuuga" or "Yamanaka." In the end it all comes down to how creative a person is. EDITED

It really only benefits those who use ninjutsu. Most classes are unaffected by it, which is kind of a bummer. I'm all for giving ninja without clans a bonus but it should encompass all abilities.
Also, Jounin is a fairly advanced rank to get to such a level. Why not break it up into rank bonuses, so they can develop the bonus?
I like the idea though, it would be cool to spar with a seemingly average ninja using Super-Elemental techniques smile

It's special Jounin, not jounin so its not that high up wink It would benefit all Shinobi actually, think about it this way, a Taijutsu Specialist with the Elemental Fists perk using any of these would be devastating. Specially with Re-Strike since because of the way it works, he's throwing three hits, not just one. The one and only S-Rank jutsu i had thought up actually benefits all classes, save for Genjutsu since it doesn't really fit them. And yeah, sparing vs one of these babies would be monstrous, though I'm sure that before implementing them the crew will combat test them, which i would love it. And well like i said, the only class that doesn't get a huge bonus from this is Genjutsu, though I have something in mind for them to make up for this. @ Luo: Yeah I know it exists, but the crew won't even give it a shot XD As for the water, I'm not sure... a Steam Release wouldn't really have much, if any, combat use. Tell me if you had an idea for it cuz i got nothing.

It is that no one has created a good enough resemblance of each of these for us to ACTUALLY even begin to see if it has a shot or not. Hell, we have storm release, don't you think we'd want the others?

Correction: No one has attempted to create any of these save for storm release at all.
So with that in mind, and how small we are as a crew, do you really think we're going to do it for you guys? If we were large, or even not as busy as we are, sure I'm sure we could give it a shot and create these ourselves. The fact is though, we are a small staff, with piles of projects and edits for the guild going on. The LAST thing we need to add to our agenda is creating some bloodlines for fun. We just don't have the time.

I was just talking about Scorch Release, I only just read your other post. And I thought Cobra has made one and called it Blast Release, though I'm not too sure what happened to it, it most likely got lost in the Bloodline Thread. And well what I meant wasn't implementing them as bloodlines since that misses the point entirely. What this is for is to give the clan-less, bloodline-less and Demon-less RPC option some well reason to be there. In the guild the only reason why you should go for no bloodlines is to compensate for it on the talents, like I did with my RPC, and even then my RPC is lacking in every form or way except in what he's good at, Summoning. Though creativity is an important factor, RPCs with clans do have the advantage in which they have more chakra, meaning they can use more jutsu and they can over power you or outspend you in chakra. They also have access to unique abilities [ Hyouton, Shoton, Ranton, Sharingan, Byakugan, ect ] that your average shinobi doesn't have, and that's what this would be for. A technology that powers up your jutsu by one rank wouldn't be past [ Sharingan Bonus ] A jutsu or tech that allows you to see almost entirely around you wouldn't be past either [ Byakugan ] and all of the bonuses that the other bloodlines and clans give. Its not about creating new bloodlines, its about making a clan-less RPC more appealing.

iAkura-kun And well what I meant wasn't implementing them as bloodlines since that misses the point entirely. This is what I thought, I figured you were aiming for that. Technically speaking, some of those listed have been noted to not be hereditary. But in the end, you'd have to understand that it would essentially be making bloodlines. Only people who apply for certain bloodlines can use those abilities. What you want, is for people without bloodlines or clans to be the only ones to use these abilities. It would be the exact same as having them as bloodlines. You'd have to have the correct elements, go through an approval, and each release has certain jutsu that are unattainable by others with clans or bloodlines, or people without the same chakra affinities. See what I'm getting at? In the end, you're attempting bloodlines for the bloodline-less. With the downside of also having less chakra.

The more I think on it, the more I can see it though. Technically with these, you wouldn't need a traumatic event to actually gain access to these techniques as you would a bloodline/clan. Just as well, there aren't really stages or added benefits to the person in general, just a list of exclusive jutsu. While I hope you see my earlier point, I could see what you mean and why you'd want it implemented.

That being said it does make sense. In the end it is just that, bloodline abilities for people with bloodlines; no traits, no chakra, just the jutsu, which in the end isn't all that great... And you wouldn't actually have to go through an Approval. Once you hit Special Jounin you'd have to go through training to be able to unlock them, which would be C ranked or B ranked training. So what do you think would be the best thing to do?

I mean, if someone's outright bad at understanding how the jutsu work and how powerful they're supposed to be, you can't just continue training the person. If this were to work, I'd make it something that starts at chuunin. You'd have to find a master and actively train with them, no one-person training. The training should continue/finish at the jounin rank, making this your third element.

But I'm alright with Chunin really, it makes them readily accessible after ranking up, which as POTS history goes to show, not a lot of people do. Less so if you don't have a bloodline or clan.

I don't know. The idea of advanced elements is interesting, but would be an incredible hassle to implement. One I for one don't want to take on right now. (My to do list from last year is still growing.) I do want to have something special for those who don't take our other benefits, but this might not be the best option, for sheer work involved.
Also, as Martin said, while this would be an impressive boost to ninjutsu specialists, it doesn't help the others much. Someone who doesn't use ninjutsu much at all for instance, such as a taijutsu spec, wouldn't get much use out of more ninjutsu. Someone who sacrificed ninjutsu in a talent, also, gets nothing. If this was to be seriously considered, we would need equivalent bonuses for the other classes. Taijutsu, and possibly weapon spec, is easy. Make a good eight gates release system, instead of a single style utilizing it, and make it only available to taijutsu specs qualified for this. But what about Genjutsu? Medical? I'd say sealing too, but we don't need your silly bonuses there. =p
Moving on a bit more, there is another prevalent issue in the discussion above. These cannot be learned by autoranks, at least, I assume, not as autorank jutsu. They also cannot be learned solo. This essentially means they are impossible to learn unless a crew member has the time, and willingness, to run an NPC and teach it. That makes it yet again a drain on the time of the crew, not just in implementation, but in enforcement, and application.
Random unrelated note, since the newer fancy releases in canon are being briefly discussed. Does it annoy anybody else that Yoton, Lava release, evidently is actually rubber? Going of course by the samurai dude, who uses rubber jutsu. It's bizarre!
