Liam stared out on the blur of wind and snow, so thick that one could only see a few inches into the storm shrieking around the castle. He frowned and leaned his forehead against the frigid cold glass and let out a long sigh. "Well this bites." he murmured and then glanced back over to his brother Leo and his sister Maer who was sitting at one of the long tables, totally engrossed in some school book.
His gaze swept past her to Destiny Starr who was sitting across the table from her. At least being stranded at Hogwarts for Christmas wasn't going to be so bad, especially since he'd get to share it with his girlfriend. A small smile played at the corner of his mouth remembering one of their last excursions outdoors and how the two of them had shared a very special moment.
His smile turned down when he remembered that the present he had ordered still hadn't arrived. He glanced again out the window and wondered if poor Anda his owl was faring all right. He had sent her out last night to get the gift from his home before the storm had come up out of nowhere. If she was caught out there in that frigid unrelenting blizzard it was going to be awhile until she forgave him for that.
It was really too bad that their parents hadn't been called out of England to get to their extended in-laws early, thus stranding them at Hogwarts for the holidays. Sure they could have come by Floo, but their parents had their hands full carrying for Casius who had become extremely ill. Not to mention the rest of the extended family who had caught it from him. Liam was grateful that he and Leo and Maer had been spared this sickness. It would have been no fun to be brought down low by it. Christmas would have been no fun at all.
Liam sighed again and ran his hand through his hair, which had grown quite a bit during the summer. It was now down to his neck and was starting to become bothersome. Mostly because girls had started to take notice of him and had been trying to mess with it. Didn't they know that boys hated that kind of thing? Having someone run their hands through your hair was quite disgruntling.
"So then, since we're all stuck here for Christmas should we try and decorate a bit then?" Liam asked turning to the other three. He was wondering who would answer first when a loud thud came from the window startling him.
He turned around and his face brightened when he saw Anda sitting on the outside ledge of the window glaring in at him with her icy blue eyes. "ANDA!" He exclaimed and pulled the window open hurriedly so she could come in, letting a gust of cold wind and snow burst in with her. He shut it immediately and apologized. "Sorry everyone, I didn't mean to let in so much cold."
Then he took the package out of Anda's claws and laid it on the table and started to rub off the frozen ice cycles and snow that was covering the trembling owl. Once he had gotten that off, he pulled her under his sweatshirt and held her close so he could warm her up. "Poor lovely Anda, you must be starving. Destiny would you mind seeing if you can find something for her?" He asked glancing up at his brother.

Destiny glanced at Liam before nodding her head "Sure.." she said jumping out of her seat and sneaked in a kiss on Liam's cheek before deciding to scourer the school to see if she could find something for Anda to eat, the poor owl must be hungry and cold. She skipped around humming to herself, when she thought she saw something the owl would eat she would pause and look at it for a bit, then again she didn't know what Anda's favourite food was. I guess she would learn that soon enough.
She walked around for a bit before she found some grasshoppers before taking a couple since she wasn't sure if she would eat any. She walked back over to where her boyfriend and his owl were before sitting beside Liam at the table he was at. "I didn't find much..but i did find some grasshoppers, I just didn't get the much since I'm not sure if she would eat them" she told him. She saw the gift at the corner of her eye but decided not to ask.
"but I do agree that we should at least try to do some decorating so its not so bland" she piped in before lightly petting Anda on the head, she felt sorry for the owl having to fly in the snow blizzard, it was not the best time to fly with all the snow blowing everywhere. She lightly brushed a stray strand of hair from her face. She held out the grasshoppers, in the palm of her hand to see if Anda would eat them.
