Dorian stormed into the slytherin common room and dropped his book bag onto the nearest table and slumped into a chair with a scowl on his face. He ran a hand through his hair and glanced around the room. Thankfully the room was nearly empty, save for the lone boy sitting at a table only a few feet away reading a newspaper.
Dorian sighed and then pulled out his book and started to read the assigned pages for Charms class. He had gotten through three sentences when a clacking sound stopped him and made him look up in annoyance. Where was that sound coming from?
It took him a few moments to realize that the sound was coming from the other boy's mouth. Dorian frowned and tapped his finger on his book trying to figure out what to say. And then the kid started shuffling through his newspaper.
"Could you please try to keep that noise down?" He asked as nicely as he could.

Ezra's eyes looked up at Dorian over his newspaper for a moment, the rest of his face hidden behind his newspaper, then looked back down to his reading without saying a word.
He bit down on his candy, making a loud crack, and shuffled the paper a few pages over, slightly louder than before. Ezra knew who Dorian was, but even after four years at Hogwarts, he had never really spoken to him, and was annoyed that the boy would say something when the common room was usually much louder.
He turned a few more pages, and picked up another piece of candy from his bag at the table next to him, unwrapped it, being sure that the wrapper crackled loudly as he did, and popped it into his mouth, all the while completely ignoring Dorian.
