As a newly-disclosed longtime lurker, it is probably about time I set up a quest thread. Because this has been started before I own any pokemon, I have decided to devote the layout to the trainers! Any wild pokemon, of course, will do their own thing.

Carlos is a mechanic with a garage in the town down the mountain from Choco Rocco. For a living he repairs anything from carriage axles to steam and gas powered machines, but his passion is inventing new gadgets and building machines. He's promised to take on Rocco as an apprentice as she gets a little older.

Rocío is a gangly girl with an affinity for mechanical things. Growing up on a small plot of land nestled in the mountains, she's always wanted a pokémon of her own, but in her family, they've always been used in farming only. If they don't have a purpose, they don't have a place on the farm. There is no room in her life for recreational sports enjoyed by pokémon trainers. That is, unless she strikes out on her own...

Nigel grew up on, and near enough to the gutter to see the best and worst of humanity. Magazines and comics, and movie stars (as seen and never heard through a window pane), were his sources of hope and inspiration for something better. Distant relatives trying to help give him a better future provided a moral compass with which to navigate. He does not strive for money, fame, or objects. Having nothing of his own but his sense of right and wrong, he has found happiness in himself and his family. But for others, the victims in this world, there needs to be something more, and someone to depend on... and there needs to be a bridge between the worlds of pokemon and men!
