 Jai really was peeved, he had no idea why the kids in his room thought it was funny to let his spiders loose in the school. This was the second time in less than a month that one of his roommates had done this! He was getting sick and tired of it. He was either going to have to confront one of them or find a spell to keep them from opening their cages. Or if it came to it sending his spiders somewhere safe. He really didn't want to get rid of his pets if he could help it.
This time it was Booker that had been let loose. Which would make it harder for him to find, as he could blend in a bit more than his blue spider Azura could. Of course it did help that there had been a few helpful kids that had pointed the way his spider had gone. Thank goodness a few kids were observant enough to see which way Booker had scurried.
Jai was rather alarmed when he realized Booker was headed to the Dining Hall. There were usually a lot of kids in there which meant that he was more likely to get stepped on if the kids ended up stampeding out of there. Plus there were a lot of places that Booker could hide and Jai might have a difficult time finding him before the janitor's cat did.
Jai shuddered at the thought. He pushed his hair out of his face and strode into the Dining Hall bending low to peer under the long benches to see if he could catch sight of Booker. He cursed softly in Hindi under his breathe when he saw the ringed legged spider scurrying straight towards a blonde Ravenclaw girl's feet.
"I hope she's not the type to freak out." Jai said softly, as he jogged over to where she was sitting, completely absorbed in what appeared to be a letter of some sort.

 Gwen was sitting at her house's table with a plate of food in front of her and her textbook next to it. She alternated taking a bite and writing down notes as she read through the text. It probably wasn't the best idea to eat and study at the same time, but so far she hadn't spilled anything on the pages and at least she was eating. She remembered her dad many times scolding her mother for not eating while working; she had even been scolded once for doing it and had promised him that she would never do it again.
She grabbed her cup and took a sip of pumpkin juice as she continued through the passage she was working on. There was so much information; she wanted to make sure she knew most of it before going to class later on. If there was a quiz, she wanted to be prepared.
While she was enthralled with her reading, she noticed a tingling sensation on her leg. Figuring she had probably been sitting in the same position too long, she crossed her legs, bringing the one that had the weird sensation to rest on her thigh. Once she had resettled herself, she resumed her reading. It wasn't long, however, before she felt the tingling sensation continue.
She looked down to see what it was and when she was it her eyes widened. She jumped up with a loud shriek as she tried to knock the spider off of her.

Jai slowed when he reached the table and rolled under it and crawled towards the girl. Booker wasn't moving that fast, but he was nearing the girl's foot. Jai inched closer and reached out to grab a hold of the spider when the girl moved her foot and rested it against her other leg. Jai murmured Hindi curses under his breath and bit his lip and then repositioned himself to reach over to her opposite leg.
Jai caught sight of her glancing down at her leg and was not prepared for her loud shriek. He jumped which caused him to hit his head on the underneath of the table which caused her cup to get bumped over and spill on her book.
"Oww," He said rubbing his head and then crawled out from under the table and tried to once more grab his poor spider off of the girl's leg. It was rather difficult with her jumping around though.
"Hold still..I'll get him." He said still rubbing his sore head.
Unfortunately for him Booker had had enough of the shrieking and wild ride and launched himself free from the girl's leggings. Jai leaped for the spider but just missed catching the poor traumatized spider. "Booker!" He cried and went scurrying after the spider who was now scurrying down the length of the long table.
The other kids sitting at the table saw the spider coming and shrieked, screamed and made a run for it. Great..utter pandemonium was just beginning in the Dining Hall and it was not a good thing for the poor scared tarantula. "Calm down everyone..screaming and carrying on is only going to make Booker run more!" Jai proclaimed still trying to keep up with the poor tarantula.

If she had been thinking clearly, she would have panicked at the sight of pumpkin juice spilling all over her textbook. For now, however, her mind was elsewhere as she watched a Gryffindor boy chase after the huge spider that had been on her leg.
"Get it!" she shrieked, still in a panic. There would be no way she would be able to calm down until the thing had been caught and possibly locked up, if not squished. She couldn't believe the thing had been on her!
She shivered and whimpered as she watched the spider crawling along the floor of the Dining Hall as others started to pick up on what was wrong and tried to get away from the table as quick as they could.
She noticed it coming back towards the table and gave another shriek, pulling her legs up underneath her.
"GET IT!!"
