"This way this way, step right in for Spirit Week!"
An army of gnomes, dressed in school orange and black stripes, tried their best to traffic, delegate, and wrangle students into the redecorated Gymnasium. It was a sort of sight that most Amityville teachers would take pride in: the entire ramshackle gym had been refurbished, retouched, and given the finest care and attention the school could afford. It probably also mean one school secretary was busy crying over budget imbalance but most Amityville faculty could not be happier, especially one newly reinstated gym teacher. As the Gymnasium was rather large, a small part was divided off into the outdoor section, where the obstacles, training courses, the fun stuff lay. Inside, short of the open and almost oddly sparkling slime pool in the center, had enough streamers, glowing fake pumpkins, and most of all food to feed the and supply the school ten times over.
Upon entering the gymnasium, students and visitors would see a gnome selling trained lepus guides. Upon buying one, they would helpfully spout information about Amityville and spirit week such as "Did you know that Spirit Week is here for students to feel proud of their school?" and, "Did you know that Amityville has over two-hundred students, and growing!", and most often, "Did you know that when you sleep, Hellma watches you?"
For those who skipped the Lepus Guides, the giant sign in bold orange stating very carefully "AMITYVILLE SPIRIT WEEK" and then a smaller sign that said "FREE FOOD" made things just a little obvious. That, an a sudden announcement that spanned all the school hallways.
"Attention all students, visitors and faculty! We are pleased to announce Amityville's SPIRIT WEEK! For one whole week, participate in school events, club events, and check out the amazing FREE food and fun events in our newly refurbished gymnasium! If that isn't enough, we also have a Craft Faire set up outside for all those looking for a special prize! HAPPY SPIRIT WEEK!"

Xiu was more than a little excited to start taking part in the events for spirit week. In addition to just running around and checking out all the festivities, she had also planned to set up some things for the baking club, intent on finally getting that club up and running with Junko. It would be a lot of work, and as they were in their third years it was a little late, but well...
...Better late than never?
The baku filed into the gymnasium with the others students, her tail immediately swishing behind her as she took in the redecorated gym. Amazing! They had really done an incredible job, hadn't they? Xiu found her fingers twitching as she unconsciously reached for the camera around her neck that wasn't there. Oh, why hadn't she thought to bring it?
Ah well--running back now was an option, but she might as well take a look around and soak everything in first. Perhaps she would spot a few familiar faces among the crowd, or maybe today was a good day to make new friends. In either case, she was certain that this would be a most memorable event!
Fright Night, the trick-or-treat party, pumpkin popping and now, Spirit week. It seemed every time Mayaa was here, there was always some sort of event going on, not that she was complaining. She absolutely LOVED Amityville, and though she wasn't an official student here, she felt quite comfortable coming back. It was like... a second home.
Patting the pouch of silver pumpkin seeds at her waist, she was tempted to buy one of the lepus guides. They were so cute! But... Papi wouldn't approve. In his eyes, she would just be wasting money. How could buying a cute bunny be wasting money? Though, she probably didn't need one of them, despite how cute and helpful they were with their strange babble of mundane facts.
Instead, she looked around, taking in all the decorations (ooooooooooh was that pink glitter?), and of course, food table. How many delightful treats! Hopefully she'd be able to find something more to her liking this time. Shame that the last party had ended much too quickly.
She paused as she heard the announcement, and at the end, joined in the cheering and clapping. She couldn't wait to see and visit EVERYTHING.
Looking around excitedly, she caught sight of a familiar ghoul with pink hair. Was that...
"Xiu!" she called out, waving her hands. "Xiu!"

Shar found her way into the gymnasium, she was lured here by the promise of free food and she wasn't let down. The spread was amazing, somewhere in the back of her mind she wondered if most of it was the left overs from the halloween fear fest but that wasn't so long ago. It keep even if it was right?
The gargoyle looked around, the places was pretty empty just now but that just meant more food for her. She made her way to the food tables and started with a health helping of corn chips and slimlsa .
Alexander would normally not be anywhere near the gym. At least, not unless he was there to watch Yin do his training and working out in an absolutely not creepy way. But the announcement of free food was just too hard to pass up, and the zomboil found his way very carefully shambling along towards the gym, looking perhaps a little more off balance then usual. He frowned in concentration as he made his way into the large open space, pale gaze flickering around briefly to take in the surroundings.
And then he spotted somebody he knew, and before he even really thought about it he shouted her name at the top of his lungs, his face breaking out into a large though slightly lopsided grin.
"XIIIIIIIIIIIIIUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!"
Belatedly, after he realized how loudly he had just shouted for no reason other then the fact that he had felt an increase in excitement and shouting had seemed like a good idea at the time, he noticed that the baku had some company, and vaguely recalled the ghoul from the Halloween festival, though at that time he had been slightly disoriented.
Actually, he was feeling just as disoriented now, but for a very different reason. This time it was self inflicted. This time he may or may not have partaken in a bit of drinking of a certain substance before venturing out to enjoy the festivities.
He shuffled in his usual staggering gait over towards the two ghouls, and gave them a happy wave.
"How are you? I came for food! Who's your friend?" He blinked a couple of times innocently as his goofy grin spread across his face.
The baku's expression went from confused to delighted when she caught sight of the harpy, and she quickly made her way across the floor to greet her, reaching out to give the ghoul a light hug. "It's good to see you again! I'm glad you decided to come!" After the Halloween celebration, one thing that the baku had come to regret was not exchanging contact information with the other ghoul. However, now that she was here...
Xiu had been about to reach into her obi to grab her eyephone when a very familiar voice suddenly yelled her name. Flinching in shock, her pink eyes grew round with confusion as she turned to face the boil who was making their way towards them.
"Alex! H-hello! ...Are you alright?" Yelling her name aside, he seemed a little different than he usually was, though she couldn't quite place why. Still, she reached out to give him a hug, though her brows were knit with confusion when she pulled back to stare at him scruntinizingly. After a moment passed, she turned and motioned towards Mayaa.
"This is Mayaa. You guys met briefly during the Halloween festival! Mayaa, Alex."
Happy she hadn't mistaken the ghoul for someone else (it happened in the past), she returned the hug, beaming.
"Thanks! I just couldn't stay away. There's always so many interesting things happening here! I-"
She jumped as she heard a loud voice also calling Xiu, and turned to see a familiar-looking boil. When he mentioned he was looking for food though, she smiled. Last time, she remembered she tried to offer him and another boil food, but was turned down. If he was really eager for food now, that would mean... everything was better?
When introduced to the zomboil, she did a quick curtsy. "It's really nice to meet you, Alex! I hope you're feeling better from last time!"
Looking around the zomboil, she noticed a familiar figure. Hadn't she met that ghoul at that last party?
"Hey!" she called out, waving to her. She realized she hadn't gotten the ghoul's name last time. Hopefully, she wouldn't forget this time.

If Xiu was looking at him a little oddly, or even more closely then usual, he didn't even notice. When she gave him a hug, he wrapped his arms around her and squeezed her tight, pretty much ready to lift her up off of the ground by several long inches but somehow managing to refrain, though for some reason just thinking about it seemed ridiculously funny and he let out a bark of laughter as he let her go.
"I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be fine?" He made a bit of a face at her, and waved his hand in the air as he scoffed, but his face brightened up with a smile once more.
The moment of silence she gave him before introducing him to Mayaa seemed to last a lifetime, and he may have let his attention wander towards the table of food, even as his skeletal foot tapped against the floor to the beat of the music that was playing. He shook his head a little when Xiu's voice rang out again, however, and he shifted his attention back towards the two ghoul's.
"Nice to meet you, Mayaa! Are you a student here?" She got the same air wave gesture that Xiu had gotten. "Yes, absolutely, much better. Sorry if I seemed a little bit off that night. I had actually just died and come back with no memories of what had happened. Funny, right?" He laughed again as though that were the best joke in the world before he suddenly stopped, his eye widening as he looked at Xiu and pointed.
"You! You have white hair! You can sign my thing..paper..hunt..thing!" He reached into his pocket and dug out a very wrinkled and somehow already smudged and dirtied paper and thrust it towards her.
She was just about to but a chip to her lips when someone shouted from behind her. Needless to said she was startled and thus her chip fell to the floor where it broke. Shra pouted at the sight of her lost chip, she turned to see who was yelling, who made her loss her first bite of wonder.
As she turned around she saw someone she knew, well she thought she knew the ghoul then being yelled at sealed the deal. It was the harpy she had met during the ToT but sadly got separated from in all the confusion after the portals appeared. She never did get the ghouls name and felt a bit awkward going over to her now that she was surrounded by friends. But this is why she wanted to come to this school right? Other then training she wanted to know others...to have friends.
Shra folded her wings over her shoulders so they hung like a cape and made her way over to the party. "Hi....Umm, good to see you made it out alright."
...Okay, there was definitely something wrong with Alex.
The sudden bark of laughter after he let her go, and then the casual way in which he explained how he died and came back...well. She supposed that it wasn't entirely unlikely for someone to make fun of their own predicaments once they had passed, but there was something about her friend that was beginning to concern her. Just as she began to lift a hand with the intention of feeling his forehead for a fever, he suddenly pointed at her, an action that caused her to stumble back a few steps in surprise.
"W-what?! I...?" Her hands automatically flew up at the mention of her hair, and she blinked blankly before giving a slow nod, "Yes, yes I have white hair. Why--oh! The scavenger hunt!"
She reached out to take the offered paper, holding it gingerly between two fingers and glancing up to lift her brows at the zomboil before she finally smoothed it out. Jotting her name down beside the appropriate section, she held it back out to him with a wry smile.
"There you are. Now Alex...are you sure you're okay? You seem a little..." She wasn't even sure what the word for it was. She turned to offer Mayaa a sheepish and somewhat apologetic smile before perking up upon noticing that another ghoul had joined them as well. Lifting her hand, she gave the newcomer a little wave.
At Alex's question, she flustered, lowering her head and shaking it. "Ah, n-no, I'm just a guest."
She had been mistaken for a student last time, and part of it made her really happy for students to believe that she was one of them. How she really wished she WAS a student. Everyone here was so nice...
When he mentioned dying though, she snapped her head up, a shocked expression on her face.
"D-died?! That's... that's horrible..." She didn't know the details, and was pretty sure it wasn't in her place to ask, but... just the thought of dying... Even if he was joking about it, she knew it must of really hurt him. Though their kind never TRULY died, just the thought of even dissipating scared her.
But then the zomboil's exclamation made her jump, and she looked at Xiu. ... Scavenger hunt?
Before she could ponder this more, the ghoul she had called over was standing before her. "O-oh! Yes! Same! Everything was happening so fast..." she trailed off, remembering the frenzy. It seemed everything was fine now, but...
She shook her head. No. Now wasn't the time to think negative thoughts. "A-ah, that reminds me! I never did get your name..."
She thrust out a hand/sleeve, smiling.
"My name's Mayaa. It's nice to see you again."

Shra stared at the sleeved hand for just a moment before she realized what she was meant to do, she took it in her clawed hand and shook it firmly but gentle.
"It's a pleasure to know you name finely." She grinned. "I'm Shar." And with that she let go of the ghouls hand and wave to them all.
"Now what was this about a hunt?"

Miyako wandered through the crouded room. She had never been to one of these before, and if there were a word for being extremely lost that would be her. She sniffed the air breifly and caught the sense of food. Quickly she hurried to where the food was. It was at the moment the only place she would feel comfterble.
She began to eat some food, as she tried her best to blend in,nervously trying to hide from the croud, or in it. She was definatly very shy, too shy and nervous for her own good. Usualy she had something to ocupy herself with, or some sort of goal that made her excited, like a game, but this time she was clueless on what was going on. She didn't really know what shes suppose to do.

The zomboil nodded enthusiastically at Xiu. "Ya, scavenger hunt! That thing!" He waited for her to scrawl her name on the paper before taking it back and shoving it back into his pocket without bothering to fold it. There might have been the smallest sound of tearing paper, though he really didn't seem to notice, or care. Not that this was out of the norm for him, though.
"That's too bad." He replied to Mayaa in regards to her being a guest and not a student. "Maybe some day?" Still smiling, never not smiling. Seriously did he ever stop smiling? Even when she seemed shocked and alarmed at him shrugging off his own death. In fact, he just shrugged again, ready to get off of the topic now, and move on to something more cheerful. Except that when he looked back at Xiu she was staring at him with some amount of intensity, and he almost felt like laughing again. He felt happy, warm, and a little fuzzy, his mind buzzing but not in an unpleasant way. Most of all he just felt relaxed. Like he could do or say anything and he didn't really care what the consequences might be. It was kind of amazing.
"Xiu, I told you, I'm fine!" He rolled his eye at her, amused that she was so concerned, before a newcomer who had approached and was chatting with Mayaa caught his attention.
"Hi, I'm Alex." He offered, just as cheerful as ever. Hunt? He did frown a little at that, thinking it through with slower then normal thought processes. OH WAIT HE KNEW WHAT SHE MEANT!
Nessa was overwhelmed as soon as she entered the gym. Even though is was a little empty she still felt little uncomfortable and thought of turning back. But she stuffed her hand in her pocket to make sure she had her silver seeds and walked to a near by table where it seemed alto of others where already gathered. She quickly grabs a few things and leans against a near by wall, Trying to blend in as much as she can.
She casually looks around and smiles at a few people near by but doesn't say anything to them. she doesn't want to embarrass herself.
