 This was not how it was supposed to have gone. Dream's Desires could scarcely breathe, fangs of a large snake sunk in around one shoulder scale, only a small amount of damage, really, but he was more concerned about the thick body coiled around his torso, squeezing tighter with every breath. He was not struggling- that would only hasten his death. His eyes were beginning to dim, and he was finding it hard to stay awake. He silently chuckled to himself- he'd been hunting snakes this large all his life, only rarely been bitten, and never wrapped... How ironic this was, then. And near by, shaking in a bush was his foxbun, Descent into Nightmares. He wished the little bugger would run away- he'd likely be the next course- but perhaps he could find somekin, anykin, to help him. The buck gave out a grunt, and forced air into his lungs, and the foxbun took off running, squeaking in fear.

Being at the right place at the right time kind of sucks sometimes. He had set his sights on a large snake that had been slithering away at an incredibly fast pace. The buck grew up hunting all his life. The thrill of the hunt was something he enjoyed most and had found oddly relaxing ever since. Mainly because he found the unknown truly exciting.
Even a skilful hunter as himself makes mistakes. And today just was not his day.
The snake was gone.
Scanning the ground for a trail but no sign of the snake anywhere. It had led him into the denser area of the swamp which made things a little more difficult. It could have gone underwater which would be dangerous for him, or anyone around for that matter. Not wanting to admit defeat, Greenleaf kept on even after searching for what seemed like an hour already. He had finally decided to get to safer ground. His ears flicked as he heard sounds of struggling at a distance. It didn't seem too far from where he was. He followed the sound, half running, he saw the large snake he had been looking for had found its own prey. There coiled around a dark buck who was struggling for his life, almost at his last few breaths. Now would be the right time to strike. While it was distracted, he grabbed it near the head, squeezing the animal's body with his jaw as hard as he could. Snap. The snake finally went limp.
"Foolish buck... What are you doing in a place like this." the words were harsh with a hint of concern. "Are you hurt anywhere?"
