Her head ached. It was the first feeling that Shehk was aware of as she sat up, rubbing her eyes and taking a moment to regather herself a bit, patting herself down, feeling to make sure she still had all of her pieces before she paranoidly pressed her fingers into her mouth to make sure she was only missing the four teeth she had missing already. Still empty sockets as they had been before - a shame - but she hadn't lost anything else since the last blip on her mental radar.

Once she was sure she didn't need to (literally) pull herself together, Shehk slowly pushed herself up to her feet. She felt numb, like she'd just fallen from an amazing high she'd been riding on for weeks, and her vision was haz- oh. That wasn't her eyes doing that. Actually, it was her eyes having a moment too, she realized shortly. As a fog dwelling creature, Shehk had become accustomed to walking through this kind of thick fog with her foglight eyes so being stripped of her slightly-better-in-fog vision actually was strange. Maybe this wasn't fog but -

A low rumble of distaste went rolling through the Pricolici's chest, creating a strange rattling as something shook back and forth in her chest - something solid and out of place.

"Am I still inside the house..?" she spoke aloud, as if expecting - or hoping - someone would be there to answer. Even if they attacked her after the fact, just knowing for sure she was where she expected to be was enough. Nothing. Her voice didn't even echo. A shame, but that was just meaning she needed to keep pressing on through the fog itself.

She needed to find a door - passing on to any room would be enough. If the fog followed that was fine, she just couldn't stay planted where she was anymore. She took only a few steps before she heard something crack underneath her foot - startled, she stepped back and crouched down to see what she'd just stepped on - after all, it was probably important and she'd just ruined it. That was the breaks, after all.

Brushing her fingers over the pieces of broken glass, her lips tightening as she realized what she'd just ruined. "s**t." she swore under her breath before she picked up a few pieces of the glass - the tonic inside was probably useless, but the glass itself? She might need it. She didn't know why she thought that, but....

Obviously it was time to take a quick look around - kind of - and then try to find a door...

There were a lot of lights in this room. Shehk gave them all a sort of strange look, looking between the two, before she crinkled her nose and slowly started to head away from either of them. For some reason, she felt like she'd learned to not trust lights at all. Lights were jerks.

Shehk chooses to ignore the lights and walk in a random direction.

Her little search around the fog-layden room yielded a few items - one of which was half dissolved and not worth keeping - but the other two at least curious enough to hold onto. It was like somebody in that room had been doing experiments with Pumpkin Pills or something, as her bounty was one normal pill, one...slightly..strange looking pill that she held onto anyways, and a third one that had been used for something - she had nothing to take it with her in and it probably would have turned her into a newt. No use for her.

But knowing she had at least two pills (was that blueish one safe?) on her made her feel a bit better as she went further into the fog and away from the lights...

Strange, she kind of felt like she should have headed back the other way, but now she was just so trapped in the fog she couldn't even see the lights anymore. A shame, but.... it was all she could do to keep moving.

The empty lonely fog was kind of nice in a way, she had to admit. It gave her a lot of time alone with her thoughts - thoughts that were all over the place, but they had been that way for weeks. It had been a long time since her mind had settled in any sort of peaceful way so trying to reorganize her thoughts on her own was kind of a nice break - or at least, it was until the silence of the fog was interrupted by some joyous sound - laughter?

It was kind of insulting to her senses in a way, but never the less she moved towards it - a bad direction was better than no direction, she figured.

As she walked the fog twisted and moved into varying shapes that she was vaguely familiar with - not in terms of what they actually were, but where. It wasn't Fright Night, after all. It wasn't the Florescetival either.. at least it didn't look like that to her. Shehk found herself brushing her hand over the tops of booths as she passed them, despite the fact that they'd fade around her fingers and only reform once her hand had moved. It kind of made her feel powerful in a way - a pathetic sentiment, it made her laugh a bit to herself. She? Strong? Hardly. Even if Malodore said her strength did exist, it had failed her in all the times it needed to come through for her.

Still, the mild destruction, even if temporary, brought a small sense of peace to her and she almost enjoyed it up until the entire fog let her go - falling. Falling through darkness. Hitting the ground, she felt her chest rattle again before she looked up to see where she was now - not alone.

"What are you fighting for?" The most prominent dark figure raised an arm - no, it was a weapon, wasn't it? She growled. "Is it power? Is it for them?" Yes. She wanted power. She wanted power more badly than she had in her entire life in the last few weeks. Her insides twisted in on themselves whenever she thought about it. As for 'them'... she glanced towards more figures motioned to. Who was 'them'? "Would you tear away those who are seeking another path, force them into a life they do not wish to be in? I am not an unreasonable person. All I ask for is an exchange, and return of the things you have taken from me. You make your own choices; the choice is always yours to make." The figure talking was speaking nonsense. She didn't have anything of anybody's - a sad admission, albeit she did possess a few emblems from those she held in some great respect. Yet at the same time, her irritation was quelled only by the fact she couldn't move.

It was like something was moving through her body and holding her still.

But she still had her eyes, and she found her brows firmly set together in a leer as she looked at the figures in front of her - mostly the one speaking to her. He was a rather imposing figure (he? Was it a she perhaps?), but they were being respectful enough, so..she tried to not be too aggressive off the bat.

The figures behind them? More electricity seemed to run through her body as she recognized who they were motioning to - Malodore, Riley, Junko, Christof, Siddie, Sammy...... She tried to get Sammy to look back at her, but it seemed like the other ghoul was making a point to not do so.

"Sammy?" she called out, her voice wavering just a bit, but Sammy didn't even seem to acknowledge that she'd spoken. It tore at her guts just a little bit.

She turned her attention to the figure speaking. "I don't have anything of yours." she said calmly. She wasn't going to try and do anything too dramatic while she was piled down like she was right then, but the figure didn't seem convinced - they just smiled at her like she was so adorable to deny it. She felt like the little kid from the Sixth Sense.

"Fine. I'll return it, but I have to go get it." Shehk answered. Would that actually work, though? All she needed was some mobility and then she'd attack. She didn't know what was going on, but she needed to free everybody...

It actually did work, for some reason. She was somewhat baffled by this, but a small grin came across her face once she was sure she could feel her fingers and toes again, before her attention turned back to the shady figure, growling before she suddenly lunged upon them -

they were faster than she was, unfortunately, and she could feel that weapon of theirs slicing right through her. She made a low hissing noise even as all the darkness dissolved into white fog again. Nobody was there.. and yet a part of her knew it hadn't been real at all.. yet even now she could feel something dripping down her side.

While her clothing was unharmed, blood seeped through a strange wound that had formed in her side, sliding down her hip and leg freely. "s**t." she swore before she got to work on at least getting that closed up...

She wasn't exactly sure when she got to this point, holding her hands over this highly bleeding wound... wait..she could have sworn she was just taking care of her own wound..was it someone else? s**t, she just knew that she could feel breathing and every time whatever it was took a breath more dark liquid seeped up around her fingers, prompting her to press her hand down even tighter.

Had she a moment to think, she wouldn't really be worrying about this - wouldn't they just dissipate and reform? But no, she couldn't help but keep looking into what was happening. Shehk didn't even look up at their face as she pressed tighter. She didn't care who they were. If she had a problem with them later, she'd deal with it then, but...

She had at least two pumpkin pills in her bag and a little healing FEAR she'd learned... the pill seemed like it was more replaceable to her, though. Could she take one hand off of this wound to give it to them, though? Shehk shifted her hold to one hand before she started fishing through her stuff for the pumpkin pill she'd found.

Please work.

It didn't. She had kept the pressure down on her hand, she'd been timely with giving the stranger the pumpkin pill she had on her.. she'd been right there, being good.....

But it didn't work. The thing that really bothered her more than the fact she'd failed was the fact that it didn't bother her when the figure finally gave that last breath and stilled before fading away. She just stared down at her hands, and then at the location of where she'd been looming over the slowly fading being - it seemed her pumpkin pill was there again. With that in mind, Shehk picked it back up and replaced it amongst her things.

She just needed to keep moving before she started thinking too hard.

It smelled really nice down here. As someone who lived off of her nose, more or less, Shehk had to admit that the scent had more or less pulled to her and begged her to them. If someone had purposely been trying to lure her they were succeeding.

However, the figure she'd find at the end of her trail-of-smellgoods caused her hackles to rise ever so slightly. Her tail puffed up and her eyes narrowed, her attention turning to what was suddenly slapped down on the counter with an unease as she slowly paced around the strange set up that had formed. Was she in a kitchen?

The familiarity with which the darkened figure spoke to her caused her ears to flick back as she looked towards them. Cooking? "I don-" The girl seemed to be on her own tangent already, picking things up, putting them back down, picking up, walking around, preparing. They were cooking, she guessed. Never the less, Shehk followed after them with a strained look on her face, glancing towards the inky dark counter once, only to be met with several pairs of eyes looking back at her - long enough for the baking obsessed shape to tell her off - sweetly, though - for it.

"I don't know anything about talent." Shehk admitted. Everything she really accomplished didn't take talent more than it had hard work of some variety. Perhaps she didn't possess a natural talent at all - that wouldn't have surprised her.

She looked back to the human looking shape. "So. Are you a hunter?" she inquired. Ignored. Called 'Mary' - a name that definitely wasn't hers ever. Then.... Shehk didn't even flinch when the figure seemed to be getting down to cutting the small fluffy masses apart.

She did, however, look back towards the counter and the little figures that were awkwardly set out across it - one tentacle beckoning out to her. Shehk reached out and barely touched her finger to it before she pulled her hand back, a strange shiver going down her spine before she frowned again. No. She'd just... keep her hands to herself.

In fact, she didn't even acknowledge much of the spiel about friendship. She barely acknowledged her actual friendships on the flesh and fear side lately - perhaps being a horrible friend was just why she was having so many failures lately. But when those eyes seemed to be looking at her for a prolonged period of time, Shehk slowly reached out and picked something up off of the counter - something that didn't look at her with soulful eyes begging her to save it.

She couldn't save anything.

What was it the last of? She didn't quite catch that last part, and yet Shehk didn't seem to hesitate as the liquid was passed to her, giving it a small sniff, before taking a drink. It sent a rather pleasant warmth through her body and it moved in a rush. In fact, it almost felt like there were fireworks going off in the back of her head. But that wasn't the only feeling lingering in her head. The other feeling was a bit more front and center.

It flashed but she was unable to place it. Was it some type of colour? She clutched her forehead for a moment. For some reason the only colour to come to mind was red - or perhaps it was the person. Red. It had almost been a year, hadn't it?

Yet the feeling faded quickly, replaced by something a bit more upbeat. The pricolici leaned back against the counter and started to laugh - it almost sounded creepy coming out of her mouth. "This isn't bad stuff." Shehk noted as she moved to sit on the counter, before it unformed underneath her and caused her to crash on her a**. For some reason that epic failure just made her laugh all the more, rolling over onto her side before she popped right back up again.

"Oh man... haven't felt this great in a while." she confessed to the stranger. "Kind of nice...like nothing else but this moment really matters."

They seemed to agree with her, at least.

She left the stranger with higher spirits, to some extent. A slightly stronger step, a better sense about herself. Yet that feeling slowly left her the further away she got from that place. Back into the fog. The fog that consumed everything - ironic, if she thought about it too hard. But she made a point to not think about it for long, instead pressing on.

A door appeared in her way and she nearly walked right into it with a 'thud', stepping back to give it a strange look. She stepped to the left to move around it, but the door seemed to be fully...aware of her in some way and followed her motions willingly. She turned to face it again, pressing her hand up against it. It didn't unform underneath her touch like so much else had. Was this a real door? Well, everything was a real door. With the solidity confirmed, Shehk knocked on the door. No answer.

She reached out to brush her hand against the doorknob when suddenly a voice cried out behind her. "Stop!" A strong hand clenched around her wrist, but it was the voice that made her stomach turn upon itself in a dance of guilt.

"You don't have to do this. There are other ways." they continued. Shehk frowned. "We tried the other way and I failed you." she whispered back, not even glancing back behind her at the red draped woman who stood behind her, holding her back by the arm - the only being she would ever call hero.

Which might have been why it knotted at her gut so much to hear her voice again as though the last year - what had happened the year before - was all some strange dream. That Red was back to save her again - this time from herself. Shehk turned to face the she-wolf finally, putting her free hand over the one that still held her to keep her in place.

"I keep looking for answers from you. Even if I can't make sense of that writing of yours yet, I can't just keep standing still now. All paths lead to the same end. Come with me."

"But not all paths are meant to be walked by the same person," The werewolf countered. Strange. Her voice wasn't whispering, and her hand felt... warm...

The red cloaked figure removed her hands from the undead's and used them to spin the girl - no, she was older then that now, wasn't she? Nevertheless, Shehk found herself spun around and given a light shove. "Go on. We're all beneath the same moon."

There was a breeze; the figure was gone. Only the door remained.

Aside from that, nothing else changed.

That sounded like a 'no' to her. Shehk couldn't help but frown, part of her begging and pleading that this phantom image be something more, maybe something to cure that first and deep cut in her psyche. She felt so real, and the pricolici almost wanted to bury her face into the image's shoulder and just beg her to stay with her.

But it wasn't to be, unfortunately. Even the smallest gesture of pulling her hands away to spin her around was painful, that deepest wound that despite having become slightly numb still radiated more pain than anything else in there. It ate away at the pain that everything else tried to give.

Yet it seemed like she had been given permission to move forward now nothing left but herself and the door.

We're all beneath the same moon.

"At least until the sun rises...." Shehk murmured to herself.
